 - but this was obviously due to unexpected circumstances.
 - The bar was empty on a Friday night, possibly due to the dirge like 'modern music' that had all the sophistication of a drug fuelled council estate.
 - but I believe this is due to the pandemic and/or renovations.
 - We were disappointed by this, we especially picked this hotel due to what was on offer.
 - but it’s closed due to Covid.

 - Visited for my 40th birthday and booked Montcalm Marble Arch due to the excellent reviews and we were not disappointed.
 - At the end of the meal to my surprise the staff came out again signing happy birthday and another cake I was blown away by their kindness also must not forget the chef who did us a very enjoyable meal.
 - As well as a room upgrade we also got Prosecco and cake as we were celebrating my birthday.
 - but made sure the room was set up for the birthday!

 - Antonella in the lounge was so welcoming and couldn't have done anymore for us, along with every member of staff we met during our stay.
 - The eats in the lounge are far superior to any other we have experienced.
 - We had wonderful and welcoming service from all the staff and in particular Antonella in the lounge who went over and above to help us throughout our stay - and on her own birthday!
 - The lounge is amazing and the food and drink available were fantastic well worth the extra money.
 - Fab rock royalty experience, we thoroughly enjoyed this experience it was made special by Nasim in the lounge and the other staff in there.

 - The lounge is lovely for breakfast or afternoon wine/tea.
 - Food was terrific in the hotel from the lounge to the restaurant to the bar.
 - She told me she discovered the mouse as well and they contacted Rentokil and do a deep clean of the lounge.
 - We had access to the lounge/club area, which was very nice.
 - We booked the executive twin which included the lounge which was ideal for drinks and nibbles on our way out in the evening.

 - We were checked in by Andrea, he was very welcoming and made a fuss of our 5 year old daughter on her birthday weekend which was hugely appreciated.

 - Had an amazing stay and all the staff were very friendly and welcoming and went the extra mile as was staying for my birthday absolutely loved it definitely would recommend the Clermont charing cross x

 - I have stayed in London on a number of occasions over the years and stayed in in areas such as Southampton Row and Marble Arch.
 - Neat, tidy with lovely helpful staff this hotel is central and walking distance to many key tourist locations (Marble Arch, Hyde Park, Buckingham Palace etc).

 - The centre piece is the eye catching spiral staircase still bearing scars from incendiary bombings also check out a quirky telephone box by the lifts.
 - Our only small issue with the room was that we seemed to be a room which was the furthest possible from lifts and stairs etc.
 - This was a bit worrying in case we would be stuck in the lift in a fire .

 - So far it’s the first night here and just met a lovely friendly and fast breakfast service , Athique is all around and ready to serve at anytime .
 - I was blown away by the friendly manner of Jasmin who was working at the time.
 - All staff are very helpful and friendly, especially Aron!
 - I was very happy with Stephan at the reception, who was impeccable, very kind, professional and friendly.

 - First room we had a problem with the telephone not working, the room was very cold.
 - Despite numerous calls and emails (half the time they hang up on you) I have still not received a credit.
 - Having recently stayed in your hotel, there was an error in the room charges for a group booking, after numerous attempts over the phone, and also via email no response or call back to assist in rectifying the situation has been attempted.
 - If you want to pick fault then you can only call the size of the hotel which means some rooms are a bit of a walk from the entrance and the view is not ideal.
 - hotel heater was too hot and need to call for housekeeping to send technician to fix This time was not a pleasant experience

 - On arriving at the Amba hotel we were disappointed to see the restaurant and bar closed (Covid) with the only indication of a full meal being room service (sign in lift and menu in room).
 - There is only one guest lift between the reception floor and exit / entrance floor and this was out of order for our stay.
 - Mickaela (not sure of the spelling) was very profesional, helpful and also kind when asked to print some papers .Everyone was wearing masks and sanitizers were provided around the loby/ lifts.
 - Elevators are still a challenge in this hotel.
 - Elevators a bit crowded during peak hours meaning you have to wait quite long.

 - My wife loved it when she saw the room decorated and the view of the London skyline and Hyde Park was incredible.
 - The view is amazing.
 - The view from the room really is wonderful.
 - There's also some cracking pubs within 5 mins walk and given it's been nearly 20 years since I last had a pint in London, the prices were as breath-taking as the view from my room!

 - but never heard the lift at all and I am a very light sleeper!
 - although there is only one rather small lift.
 - The elevator was also a tad small and I imagine taking more than 1 suitcase would be problematic.
 - Whilst speaking to the staff, the guest reentered the hotel, stinking of cannabis himself and neither of the 2 staff on duty challenged him and allowed him to get into the lift and go to his room.
 - And when we went to get in the lift after breakfast, another guest (who looked like she was just getting in from a night out) tried to get in the tiny lift with us NOT WEARING A MASK.

 - At checkout which was quick and easy I was informed that the hotel is about to go through some improvements like replacing carpets, headboards etc.

 - We stayed in a 2 twin bed room and the fabric headboards were stained and faded which was quite off-putting, furnishing was nicked and carpets were worn and fraying.

 - The location to the station alone is worth the stay.
 - It is at the back of the hotel and its windows look out over the station concourse.
 - With a very early journey from Paddington station and a very late return, the historic Hilton (formerly the Great Western Royal Hotel) was the obvious choice, with its own private entrance straight onto the concourse at the station.

 - We stayed for 5 nights and had a lovely experience, a comfortable room with the usual brilliant Marriott bed, a very nice executive lounge, and first-class staff.
 - The service in the Executive Lounge was consistently professional, and notable mention must be made of Magdalena at the front desk and Csaba at the door.
 - The hotel was running at very ow occupancy and the restaurant and executive lounge were closed.

 - Visited both the pool and steam room twice in our short stay. Outstanding.
 - We loved relaxing at the pool after our treatments before our afternoon tea.
 - The pool and gym area was spacious and clean.
 - And we haven’t been disappointed, the pool is a real dream in the middle of London

 - This entitled us to use the executive lounge which was a brilliant benefit and we enjoyed a light evening refreshments on both evenings.
 - The pinnacle of our stay was the new refurbished executive lounge.
 - I was checked in by Asia who was friendly and efficient, she directed me to my room and explained that the Executive Lounge has temporarily been relocated to the Bow Bar.

 - Two minor mentions - the windows were filthy and I suspect cleaning was cut due to Covid business decline.
 - Oh and the corridor smells stale!
 - When we first arrived the first thing we noticed was the leaky yellow stain above our bed which was honestly disgusting to sleep under.
 - Rooms are in need of renovation and there is dusky smell in the rooms and the corridor.
 - I felt that our stay was all smoke and mirrors along with being one of my most negative Hilton experiences.

 - Booked this break with Edwards Travel and I must say we were very pleased with Hilton Metropole right near Paddington Station.
 - Short walking distance to Paddington Station for Heathrow Express.

 - I asked the lady at the front desk to send someone to come to the room so I could show them
 - we last stayed here couple of years ago and left a very poor review about the state the rooms looking very tired and run down.
 - I stayed 5 nights and had terrible drilling noise above room .
 - when we went to the room which they said was an upgrade.
 - but the hotel was a huge let down if it was cheap I wouldn’t mind but they charge the earth for their rooms that simply are not standard to anyone.

 - I asked one of the security guard where the toilet are and then the first thing he asked me was “Do You Live Here?
 - Yes the rooms are a little dated especially the bathroom
 - The room I was allocated on arrival was one of the newly refurbished rooms, sadly these rooms only have a shower fitted, and I had requested a room with a bath.
 - Room needs maintenance, the hotel management could do better with checks to ensure lighting works, shower bit old and needs upgrade.
 - One of them passed me and then the other one walks into the women bathrooms!!!!

 - The room was allocated on11th floor with floor to roof large windows overlooking the Edgware road and Marble Arch.
 - We just completed a family stay here over the weekend for a special occasion, and the price was brilliant considering you're literally walking distance from Oxford st. Marble arch, Hyde Park etc.
 - Easy walk to Marble Arch and Park Lane.
 - It's in a great location, with two Underground Stations in close proximity and a short walk down to Marble Arch and some good shopping.
 - A short walk to Marble Arch and Oxford Street .I mainly used Uber , which is convenient and economical.
