The Hotel is located in one of the most beautiful areas of London, in the heart of Soho, close to train and bus stations, restaurants, shops within walking distance, very kind hotel staff, especially the maintenance engineer Nando, spacious and well-kept rooms with all comforts, mini kitchen with nespresso coffee, very comfortable bed,  the big Smart TV, an unforgettable experience, Highly recommended!

Beds are comfortable and rooms are very clean.

Room was a good size  comfy bed, lovely bathroom with rain shower and perfect water pressure.

We we're in the heart of downtown and it was perfect for 2 girls wanting to explore an area full of restaurants, bars and things to do.

Stayed for one night for my partners birthday, we both really enjoyed our room as the decor and facilities were really nice.

From the moment we arrived the service from the reception staff was 5 stars ..  friendly and helpful, showed us to our room (I think was room 3022).

We were greeted by a lovely lady named Rajani at reception who was very welcoming and friendly.

The staff was friendly and offered me a glass of wine both evenings.

The front desk team are all super friendly and helpful always willing to go above and beyond what you would usually expect.

The hotel itself is quite small and despite us having a larger room it was still a little too small for two people.

Remember hotel rooms are small in London.

The rooms were a little small for what we paid and very dark not much day light getting in at all, the bed was really comfortable and our room very quiet.

Theaters, the river (and river taxi), the British Museum, and great parks are all within walking distance.

From there, the main tourist attractions are within easy walking distance - the National Gallery, the Palace of Westminster, Buckingham Palace, the Embankment, the British Museum, Covent Garden, you name it.

The Hotel is in the middle of the city, and an easy walk to the British Museum, Oxford Street and Covent Garden etc.

Perfect location to catch the tube to all the sights(5 minute walk)and a short walk to china town, piccadilly circus, Leicester square, and the British museum.

Clean trendy and friendly in a great location in the middle of the West end shops, theatres, cinemas, restaurants and clubs and also attractions like the British Museum.

It was also within walking distance of all the Soho stuff, Carnaby, Mayfair, Trafalgar, Westminster, and the British Museum.

Thus we were not delayed in starting our London activities with a short walk to the British Museum.

Also just a walk away from the British Museum, Liberty and Regent Street.

We could walk 30s to Oxford Street through an alley, 3 mins to Soho Square, 10 mins to Leicester Square, 5 mins to Chinatown, 15 mins to Regent Street, 15 mins to Covent Garden and 20 mins to The British Museum.

Clean and cozy; great location (The British museum, China Town, Leicester Square, Oxford Street, and Piccadilly Circus are all within walking distance).

This hotel is well situated for the West End Theatres, The British Museum, restaurants/bars of Soho, Oxford Street shopping and the exclusive shops of Piccadilly and Mayfair all within easy walking distance.

The Nadler Soho is situated just a few short blocks from the British Museum, Oxford Circus, and any number of restaurants and pubs.

But you don't have to ride the tube to see a lot: there is plenty to see within a short walk, including the British Museum.

It was a short walk to the British Museum.

You can walk from here to Piccadilly, all theaters, Trafalgar Square, Regent Street shopping and even the British Museum.

We walked to the theatre,Trafalgar Square, the Mall, Palace and the British Museum.

Shops, theatres, restaurants and anything you need within a short walk!

This is the place that I would think of when I want a place to rest and relax after a long day of walking and visiting places around London.

A beautiful hotel in the middle of SOHO - A short walk to all you need of restaurants, theaters, shopping.

From the moment we walked in to the day we left, we were treated like family.

We walked from the hotel across Hyde Park to the Design Museum in Kensington, which was an added bonus.

Bathroom was excellent with a large walk in shower.

It's good for nightlife, food, a comedy show, shopping, and if you want to hit London attractions, you can walk to Covent, Piccadilly, Chinatown, Leicester and have metros stations close by.

We walked 85 miles in 7 days exploring all around this neighborhood and beyond!

Within easy walk are Oxford Street (shopping), Soho itself (lively shops and eateries), Chinatown (great food), and it's easy to navigate to Leicester Square, Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus, the Houses of Parliament, the London Eye and more.

It has a fabulous location (we walked nearly everywhere), and underground subway stations nearby.

Only 15 mins walk to London's famous shops.

Easy walk around Soho, Covent Garden & surrounding area.

It was an 8 mile walk, there and back again, so I was quite uncomfortable when I got back,

We walked from Tottenham Court Road station and it was a comfortable walk.

Easy walking to everything you need and want.

You are a short walk from all the main attractions in Soho.

The location couldn't be better, as there are lots of restaurants within 5-10 min walk, theatres are at walkable distance and the communication with further areas could not be more simple, having the main underground lines a stone's throw away.

but a big window did not make it claustrophobic.

Unfortunately, the windows cannot be opened to allow some fresh air into the room.The hotel is very centrally located in Soho

No, I didn't go peeking in their windows, and don't you either,

The room does have sliding windows & blind for noise cancelling

The main problem for us was the room bed was up against the window wall, which was very inconvenient.

but it would have been nice to be able to open a window (windows were present and good for light quality, just could not be opened).

but then I don't spend trips to London gazing out of a window.

button or light streaming under the door but here it is the actual window shutters.

but not too late….. definitely would benefit from black out blinds or curtains for those of us who like the dark but that’s the only mild negative 😊

Unfortunately there were building works right outside our window which finished at 5pm and started at 8am.

My one little gripe was that the blinds didn’t shut out much light when the sun came up and we did wake up early, it might just be us because we are used to blackout curtains.

This is the only gripe may be the hotel could look at better sound proofing on the windows?

but my personal preference would be to have windows to look out of as I felt a bit claustrophobic.

The only thing missing was any blackout curtains as the blinds let in a lot of light.

No curtains, just blinds which did not completely exclude light.

Rooms without windows that open can be a bit stuffy.

Everything fine except the window blinders, they are just like from the 50ies: work bad and do no really make the room dark.

We had the luxury of self controlling air conditioning, black out blinds, and tasteful window blinds.

I organised a surprise afternoon tea for a friend’s 60th birthday and everything was successful, great food , helpful staff in particular  Mrs Jackson and Svetlana.

We recently had a family meal to celebrate my Sister-in-Laws Birthday at the Clermont's on site restaurant and we cannot praise it highly enough.

Just came back for a one night stay with a friend for her birthday, fab location for all things London.

Went to The Clermont for afternoon tea for my mum’s 80th birthday the hotel is amazing, the staff were very attentive and the afternoon tea was fantastic and to make the experience even more special they brought out a piece of chocolate cake and sung happy birthday to her.

Celebrated my 40th birthday at the restaurant.

I came back for there great service they really were the best, it was my wife’s birthday and they made it so special would 100% recommend to anyone I know, the food was sooo nice as well.

Considering we were getting a great deal anyway they went above and beyond, it's is my other halfs birthday and they really made an effort to treat him to a special evening.

This was a surprise birthday trip that included an overnight stay at the Clermont, and from check-in to check-out it was an exemplar in customer service.

Recently booked a 4 night stay for my wife's birthday.

Renata went above and beyond with her service, even surprising my friend with a cake and candles for her 50th birthday.

The icing on the cake was being served a slice of birthday cake with candle and a happy birthday sang by all the dinners .

They arranged a cake for my daughter for her birthday and it was delicious.

My wife and I love afternoon tea and we booked this for my birthday.

We spoke to her between courses, she was attentive to us at every moment, and at the end she had a very special gesture, she surprised us with a piece of cake and a candle to celebrate my birthday (written in Spanish, as we are from Spain).

The food was excellent as was the service, special mention for Renata who when found out it was my husband’s birthday brought out a slice of chocolate cake on a decorated board with a candle (a lovely touch)   Will definitely return

I came here as a surprise for my birthday - they especially gave us a room at the front with great views and even put some chocolate cake on the table which was a lovely surprise!

We stayed at The Clermont, Charing Cross from 6/19-6/24 for my daughter’s 16th birthday and it was absolutely fantastic!!!

Special highlight was our youngest boys told the foyer staff it was their birthday so they all sang ‘happy birthday’ to them before we left, made our stay a little bit more special!

We stayed here for a few nights while seeing the sights in the area, and attending some events at downtown landmarks.

The Amba Hotel Charing Cross is a real find in downtown London.

The cab driver indicated that the Charing Cross station is literally in the heart of downtown London.

but I guess it’s more about the convenience of the location to everything downtown.

Hotel above average in style and room size was good for downtown London.

However, she had checked me into a room above a burger restaurant, next to the hotel lift and a a few yards from a busy traffic junction and my window looked out on a busy pedestrian walkway.

The only extremely minor criticism is the lift is soooo slow!

The only elevator in this wing was out of use during our whole 4 night stay and this was a major inconvenience.

1) elevator was not working, had to carry bags up stairs, no accommodation, 2) air conditioning was not effective for an 80 degree Fahrenheit day.

We returned from dinner one night to get trapped in the lift, after finally getting ourselves back to Ground Floor after many minutes we advised reception who said they knew about the faulty lift.

The centre piece is the eye catching spiral staircase still bearing scars from incendiary bombings also check out   a quirky telephone box by the lifts.

Our only small issue with the room was that we seemed to be a room which was the furthest possible from lifts and stairs etc.

This was a bit worrying in case we would be stuck in the lift in a fire .

but at a new section that you need to take two elevators to reach.

Outside the lift, meant it was noisy with footfall and then at midnight the music from the bars started up.

There were no signs by or in the elevators explaining this complex navigation.

On the downside, the Buckingham Wing is a long way from the hotel entrance (you have to walk down several corridors and take 2 different lifts to get there) and

We were assigned a room in the Buckingham Wing which meant go to elevator on second floor, cross an interior bridge, take another elevator to a different floor then find your room.

but we were never given a better room position and had to take 2 lifts and with the walking involved it took more than 5 minutes to get to and from the room within the hotel.

The hotel is actually spread across 3 buildings connected by a bridge & this can be a little tedious as it means 2 elevator trips and a long walk.

but come on Amba the lift was extremely annoying!!!

The breakfast room was crowded and as with the lifts, insufficient for the size of the hotel.

Its a lovely character old building with high ceiling, specious feel through all the facilities, staircase, bar&restaurant.

Great location just a 3 minute walk to Covent Gardens, short walk to southbank, plenty of facilities surrounding the hotel.

The rooms were beautiful and well furnished and equipped.

We used the gym regularly and loved having a stocked mini-bar and Nespresso machine.

The building is beautiful, facilities were excellent and the staff were very friendly and professional.

The rooms are beautifully furnished and equipped, the beds are really comfy and ensure a good night rest.

We made use of some of the facilities there including the restaurant for dinner and breakfast.

Our room was well equipped, spacious and very clean with a lovely comfortable bed.

It’s a beautiful hotel, inside and out, and the bedrooms and public rooms are immaculately clean and very well equipped.

Had to call every day for the minibar to be restocked.

The phone number goes to reservations, which is a central number for several hotels, so if reservations is closed - you are out of luck.

I booked for my sister’s wedding anniversary using groupon voucher, as soon as the booking went through, I received a call from Mrs Jackson who works for the hotel restaurant, she assisted me with the booking and made sure that our table for 18 people was reserved and followed up to check if I received all the details on my email.

Had to charge the phone across the room, 4) beds were up by housekeeping without sheets 5) headboard and closet were gouged by some person or animal,  I could forgive one or two of these indiscretions,

I rang them,one payment was our room, one was a pre authorisation

After ringing reception nothing was done about it.

I also don’t expect to have to ring the lobby to ask them to stock the complimentary minibar (which was empty upon arrival other than one bottle of gluten free lager and no bottle opener).

A few onions rings finished off the dish.

This went on for several weeks speaking to Ruben, Anca, Barbara , all apologising and promising non existed call backs, even an email to Neil Gallagher of GLH Hotels was ignored .

On Monday morning it took 4 calls from us to room service and reception to have someone phone us back 30 mins later.

We only realised this when we got on the train and went to change a phone.

although on calling housekeeping to ask they said we didn't qualify for snacks?

but we ending up having to personally ring the credit card company ourselves to try and sort this out.

The furnishings aren't what I would call luxury,

They rang me to tell me when the room was ready and looked after our bags.

When making a reservation, make sure to call the hotel directly.

I could see Trafalgar Sq and the British Museum from my window.

Pleasant walks to the British Museum, Trafalgar Square, Tate Modern, Tate Britain, St. Paul's Cathedral, Westminster Abbey, on and on.

It is close to so many sites that are within walking distance, The London Eye, Westminster Abbey, The British Museum, St. Paul's Cathedral and many more.

Easy short walk to Trafalgar square and the British Museum, as well as theater district.

The lounge is lovely for breakfast or afternoon wine/tea.

Food was terrific in the hotel from the lounge to the restaurant to the bar.
