Would recommend to anyone, one of the best downtown hotels I have stayed in US or Europe.

The hotel is downtown and within walking distances to the Opera House, the museums and much more.

Wonderful small hotel on a major shopping street in the heart of downtown Vienna.

The breakfast was fantastic each morning and hotel location was right in downtown!

The hotel is situated in a very handy spot in the downtown area, near to the Museumsquartier (and the U-bahn station of the same name).

"Being Down Town", Most of major attraction are walking distance.

Very pleasant stay at this small, non-conspicuous hotel in downtown Wien.

The location was central and convenient without the hussle and bussle of a downtown hotel.

This was also an ideal location for both waling to the sights of downtown Vienna and walking to shopping.

The hotel was an easy walk to all the downtown attractions, and not far from the subway to get to Schonbrunn.

Almost every time I appeared in the hotel lobby Michelle was holding open the elevator door (heavy), so the guy on crutches could get in.

It’s got a very small lift and 6 floors of rooms. Love!!

The only negative thing I can say is that it probably had the tiniest elevator we’ve ever encountered.

There is one small elevator, just big enough for one with a big suitcase of 2 people.

Old fashion style lift in the middle of a circular stairwell.

but inside it makes use of its narrow shape, with six rooms spread across each floor, a central lift with glass sides surrounded by a stone staircase.

There is a small cage elevator that barely fit our luggage and one person or 2-3 persons without luggage, so we often chose to walk the five flights of stairs.

Hotel is small and with accordingly limited facilities (no bar or restaurant for example, one tiny lift)

The modern decor is complimented by tasteful contrasts, including a winding marble staircase and old fashioned elevator.

The hotel has a single, small lift, probably not for claustrophobes ,

The small elevator for two (2), is a treat in looks and performance!

but pretty elevator that accommodates a couple people with luggage at one time.

Due to the historic nature of the hotel building, the elevator is quite small and slow.

Bedrooms are very clean and well equipped.

Great location and it is probably the cleanest, most well-equipped hotel I have ever stayed. Night light sensors, beautiful modern decor and all luxury conveniences such as Nespresso coffee maker, towel warmer, lighted makeup mirror, superior hair dryer (Dyson!)

Spectacular interior, superbly comfortable and well equipped rooms,  entirely spotless from top to bottom, and all of the staff were friendly and helpful.

Very stylish with spotlessly clean rooms and great spa facilities pre-bookable for private usage.

but a good size, with all the facilities you need - quite modern but also had a nice feel too.

Spotless, greatly equipped and most important with professional staff this hotel is one of the best places where we were.

This is a beautiful hotel - immaculately clean, well put together with excellent staff and facilities.

This hotel is perfect; it’s updated and the facilities and amenities are the best we’ve experienced in Europe.

but very attractive, comfortable, spotless, quiet and perfectly equipped, including fine shower room.

A delicious, abundant  ala carte breakfast that can be included with your room served on fine china, luxurious high end fabrics and furnishings in all the common areas and guest rooms, super modern conveniences in the guest rooms (Villeroy & Boch bathroom facilities, Dyson blow dryers, amazing lighting).

The small property is beautifully decorated and equipped with great attention to detail.

The spa is an impressive facility; small,

but walking up the 5 flights of stairs was a good workout enough times during the day.

Nice furniture and equipment, good shower.

The hotel was lovely and quiet, the breakfast very nice and the location is excellent for the museum quarter and a short walk on to the major city sights.

Close to all the major cultural attractions (walking distance 20  mins to Musicverein, 20 mins to StephensDom, 5 mins to Kunsthistorisches museum).

The art collection in this hotel was honestly better than that of a couple of museums we visited on this trip.

The hotel is in a good location on the edge of the museum quarter, so very close to The Leopold, yet I was not aware of any traffic noise.

The position was excellent, being so close to the Museum Quarter.

The hotel is located near the main shopping area / museum quarters and all main areas of attraction are within reach, and the subway station is within walking distance.

The Museum of Natural History could take hours to see it all.

The hotel is located in the museum quarter in a quieter section of town yet about a 7 minute walk down the main street to the Hofburg.

The location is great,  close to museums and markets,  and only 15 minutes walk from the very centre of the city.

Step out of the door into the Museum Quarter with shops, metro, buses and trams within walking distance for ease of getting around town.

The city center location is great and felt safe, museums are a hop skip away, places of interest are within easy 15 minutes walking distance and many restaurants in the area as well.

This hotel is in a very convenient location adjacent to Museum Quarter and on the pedestrian Mariahilfer shopping district.

The tree-lined shopping street was very pleasant.

The hotel is relaxing and on Vienna's busiest shopping street.

The location is also excellent, 10 minutes to a number of different christmas markets and just off the main shopping street surrounded by shops and restaurant's.

The soundproofing was excellent; we were 1st floor out onto the main shopping street and you could not hear a thing.

The hotel is within convenient walking distance from city highlights and main historic and tourist attractions, parks, a variety of restaurants and shopping (the hotel is located on Mariahilfer Strasse shopping street), public transport stations and much more.

To begin the hotel is located on the fabulous shopping street of Mariahilfer in the Museum Quarter, walking distance to the Hofburg Palace, Opera House, cafes and restaurants and metro stops.

Great Location at the longest shopping street in Vienna!

We got a first-floor room overlooking the Mariahilferstrasse shopping street.

The location is really good, right in the middle of a main shopping street and a few minutes away from the U Bahn (making it really easy to get to from the airport).

Location is excellent, right off Mariahilferstrasse, one of Vienna's main shopping streets.

Just on the corner of a great shopping street, the hotel is decorated intricately with very welcoming staff.

but peeked in at breakfast and it looked good

in a great location on the Mariahilferstrasse which is one of the nice shopping streets and pedestrian malls. just far enough from the city center to have better rates than the better known hotels, but just a short 10 - 15 walk to all the key city attractions (Vienna Opera House, Imperial Palace, Museum Quarter, Naschtmarket, etc.)

The Hotel Das Tyrol is a lovely boutique hotel just off the main shopping street in Vienna, and close to all the major attractions.

Situated in a semi-pedestrian shopping street pretty close to the Museumquartier, the Tyrol is a very tastefully furnished hotel with smallish,

Location is GREAT, right next to the museum quarter and the flee market, within a shopping street.

The only drawback, and this is with any boutique hotel in Europe is that the elevator as small and slow,

The hotel is small and the lift is tiny, taking only 3 people at a time.

The hotel is small and quaint, with a tiny elevator rising through the center of an old spiral staircase.

For me, the only downside was the tiny lift

You might actually prefer a lower room floor in this hotel because the elevator is very tiny and slow, and the stairs might be faster.

but they had somehow made room for a small seating area.

It has a relatively small number of rooms (which we like); the one we stayed in (studio) was beutifully appointed and they had really gone for the detail.

I was surprised to receive a room upgrade on my first visit - I mentioned a bathtub during the booking before seeing that small rooms didn't feature one, so I was given a deluxe room instead.

While our room was small for American standards, it was furnished beautifully.

In defense of Das Tyrol, we had just spent six nights in a 2,000 sq ft suite in Prague, so almost any room would have seemed small.

Only 2 criticisms:  the room was very small and wifi was slow.

On the downside, room a bit small, Air-conditioning very feeble, Breakfast expensive at 20 Euro per person so we went elsewhere.

Although the rooms are small, they are beautifully appointed.

The room is a typical European room a little small

The room was also tiny ( I know typical of Europe

We loved the spa, be sure to book it because it’s private.

The free private sauna is an unusual perk, and I wished I had taken advantage of it more than once.

Did we mention we enjoyed our time in the private sauna and steam?

The spa which is booked for exclusive use and complimentary was a real bonus.

The private spa was wonderful, I love the concept of being able to book it for private use.

The hotel has a private spa which is also beautifully decorated in gold and beautiful tiling / lighting, and after a long day of walking and exploring the city, their spa experience simply eases all stresses and tiredness away.

Private sauna, make sure to make a reservation.

Staff was very helpful with restaurant recommendations and was able to get me a well needed massage the day I checked in.

You have to try their spa, pure moment of relaxation.

Great private spa including sauna and steam room that guests can book and use for free.

I loved the fluffy duvet and the small spa!

Quaint rooms and a private spa to relax after a big day was just what was needed.

Every member of staff goes out of their way to help and the private spa is great.

The hotel staff throughout were pleasant and helpful, offering first class service and we would not hesitate to revist and highly recommend.

And each served on very unique dinnerware that is quirky and fun just like the art all around the hotel.

All around the hotel are beautiful pieces of unique art from paintings on the wall to brilliant pottery.

The hotel is very inviting, with modern, bright, stylish interior decoration, and on its walls and   public areas are presented works of art from contemporary artists, creating a very unique atmosphere.

Beautiful and quiet, with lovely rooms and lots of quirky, unique art work.

So, if you need one, the wonderful reception staff will arrange you one - just as they did it for us :) 

This is the only thing one should improve in this beautiful and absolutely unique hotel!

The decor throughout the hotel was unique and gives a boutique feel.

The bathroom has heated floors, a very unique toilet and is just perfect!

The owners are clearly obsessed with it, some of it very quirky, and it makes the hotel quite unique.

I had been traveling all day, delirious from the road and meetings, and Eric and Ruby humored me allowing me to speak in my British accent throughout the check in process! LOL!

When we arrived back to the room at about 1 am, and moved the curtain, we found clothes that belonged to someone else on the AC.

Small window in our ‘corner’ unit didn’t give it justice.

The shower is older looking and the a/c blew right on the bed,

Room was nothing special, a/c loud off and on all night, can hear people in halls, rooms next door.

You can’t control the room air conditioner fan so it turns on and shuts off all night long.

When we checked in our rooms AC was making a humming noise and the front desk clerk immediately gave us a new handicap room without hesitation.

The bed in my room wasn't really all that comfortable and the AC was overly noisy.

Overpriced for location, window air conditioning blows directly towards bed, something bit my legs, poor breakfast.

A/C was very noisy with some high pitch squeal elements so I just made sure to get my room super cold and then turn it off when I was trying to fall asleep.

Only issue we had was we had difficulty adjusting AC for consistent temperature over night.

AC was so loud that we couldn't sleep as well bed was sinking in the middle so feeling was I will fall off cliff if I have let go of nigh stand.Absolutely no vegan options for breakfast than potatoes.

it alternately blew hot or cold air across the bed at the same temperature setting.

I'm not a fan of paying for parking when I am also paying an above average rate for our room.

The rooms are on the small side and the a/c is LOUD,

One, you cannot control the air conditioner fan speed in your room.

I have never been a fan of Hampton's free breakfast,

In order to reduce electricity usage and bill, they have a "sensor" on room thermostats, so that when no motion is detected, room air turns off.

Did not like the air conditioning being put on sleep mode at night.

More than that, I returned from a long day of conferences to find the a/c in the room wasn't working.

Only 2 minuses for us, why have a tiny outdoor balcony which only seats one & the hot air from the a.c. unit blows out there.

The breakfast ladies were especially kind.I would stay here again without hesitation!

The staff at the front desk as well as the staff that provided breakfast were professional, courteous and so very friendly.

The valets, front desk & breakfast staff were all friendly and helpful.

Every staff member was beyond friendly and helpful from front desk to valet asking if we needed assitance when we looked lost to the attendant at breakfast.

The breakfast was the usual Hampton Inn buffet and the attendant is very nice and quick to resupply items.

The breakfast lady was kind, kept everything stocked and clean.

Great staff and the breakfast exceeded expectations.

Our ladies at breakfast, Yesenia and Isabel, could not have been more helpful or kind.

but it's really the customer service of the breakfast staff that make the difference.

Betty, Yesenia, Isabel, Lessli were so friendly and efficient in the breakfast serving area.

From the valet to the front desk crew to the breakfast staff the service at this location was top notch!

The location is perfect for exploring downtown Greenville.

The location is perfect for seeing the falls & walking downtown.

The location is very special on the river, and centrally located to most of Greenville's downtown and West End attractions.

Downtown Greenville is a very friendly and walkable city.

Easily walk to downtown and the Fall Reedy Park.

It was in the downtown area, near the water, & within walking distance to many places.

Parking was very affordable and the hotel was within walking distance to Reedy Falls Park and the many downtown restaurants.

The location downtown on the river was close to restaurants, shops and the trail along the river.

Hampton Inn Greenville Downtown RiverPlace was a great decision to book for our stay.
