The breakfast was really good too, full english breakfast and lots of other choices too, pastries, fruit, cheese and cold meats, brilliant coffee machine, all self serve.

I stayed for three nights at Royal National Hotel, and all I can say is that the room was very comfortable and clean; lots of choices at breakfast and, most of all, excellent staff!

All in all it was very good : breakfast was excellent , bed OK , area ( great) !

Then, restaurant and breakfast buffet had vegan food completing a fulling experience of a decent experience at London.

The hotel had a fantastic location, the tube station, and bus station are right next day and Oxford street is less than a 10-minute work.

Its not a bas hotel at all , either it has a very good strategic location and near a bus station .

However the hotel is situated in the Euston District so is close to tube station and bus station.

Russel Square Tube Station was 1 minute walk from there (really convenient), the bus station was just outside the hotel, there was a mini-market within range.

We were there for the first time.Staff is really nice and they do everithing to make you feel welcomed.Hotel is near  everithing.It is clean,nice staff -I racomend it to everyone.Underground is near,bus station also.You want be lost.The foof that they serve for breakfast is good.If You pay 5 £ on breakfast you can try their originally english brekfast.

We had to go to the hallway next to the lift or downstairs in the lobby to have good WiFi connection.

We had to have the windows open, our room overlooked the main street so traffic noise was ever-present (although after a while it became like white noise)

After checking in you head up to your room, exiting the lift you are faced with a huge long corridor, ours was definitely showing signs of wear and tear.

Our room and the hallways looked like nothing had been done since the 1970s.

Looking for the elevators on my floor, I found a very different-looking area of the hotel: "City Sleeper"
The hallway was more or less separated from the elevators and other rooms by a door with a key card (which opened easily even with my card, and is not needed if you take the long way).

When we checked in, it was FILLED with youth groups being loud and obnoxious through every hall.

Hallways were old, musty, and dingy with carpet in need of cleaning.

The rooms and the corridors definitely need updating.

The walls are paper thin and could hear everyone talking in the corridor and no air conditioning in the rooms.

We notified someone and they apologised and said they believe it to be a switch in the corridor consumer box that will need resetting and they will go and sort it straight away.

The outside of building is not great and the hallways are quite dated

There are long corridors, and it can be noisy if people are in the hallways.

One can easily hear the smallest noise (talking neighbors, opening/closing of neighbor doors, people passing in the corridors and most especially the cars, buses, police, ambulance outside).

Corridors feel like something from The Shining and so many rooms it's really hard to find your way round initially.

Night disturbed with a good deal of noise from the corridor.

The hotel corridors suggest a very run down place well past its best with printed paper direction signs

Secure with the corridors and entrance only accessible via the door card.

My room at the end of a long corridor was boiling hot and I couldn't turn off the radiator   I had to go back to reception who told me to go to housekeeping.

Location was great and it’s within 30 minutes walking distance to most of London city landmarks.

The location is so convenient for us and the service is excellent.

Stayed a week at the Royal National Hotel, primarily because its location in Bloomsbury, which I knew was close to everything.

The hotel has a great location in central London and an excellent connection to Heathrow airport via Tube  (just a few minute's walk from Russell Square tube station, where you can take the Piccadilly line to Heathrow Terminals) and these were the most important factors when I was choosing a hotel.

but the location is the best thing it has the rest could be improved.

Hotel location is excellent, only a 6 minute walk from Euston where we’d traveled from and only 2 minutes to Russell Square tube.

The location is also perfect for those who wish to be in central  London close to everything.

The location is brilliant as it’s only one stop to kingscross and a couple of stops to the west end so it was perfect for us.

Checking in was poor, you get a map indicating where your room is, first attempt receptionist circled wrong room, then had to draw it on the map.

BUT 

Its not even great value considering the poor standard hotel it is.

but the bedroom Windows were poor quality and as our room over looked the main entrance we were kept awake all night with the noise of people and cars coming and going, and people standing underneath smoking.

Whilst the bedroom was a good size, the lack of double glazing meant that it was VERY noisy and resulted in a very poor night’s sleep.

They do not  provide even shampoos.the breakfast is very poor, the only bread that is provided is suitable for toast, no honey no Nutella, just jam! !

The only real issue was the pillows, one of mine was so poor when held on my hand, it folded in two, the other 3 were thin and hard - such a shame!

The free evening meal was poor and we both felt it was straight from the freezer.

When I left the hotel on Sunday morning, 16/6/19, the hotel staff did not seem bothered about the poor service that I was subjected to.

however I have never had such a poor English breakfast as this and believe me I have had a few over the years.

I booked the hotel room as it was my birthday weekend and not too far from my work and also parking could be added.

Book Room Plus category because these are larger and well furnished.

The receptionist (Zubaur) was extremely helpful, finding me a quiet room, higher up and before check in.

The room that I had in the North tower was quite large, for London standards, and was very clean and looked recently refurbished.

Although we hardly spent any time in the hotel, we found our room to be surprisingly spacious, clean and modern.

It's clean , Tidy, Rooms and Fresh , Bedding was Clean along with the room.

My partner and I came for a few days, the room was perfect for a couple on the move, local is also pretty central.

but at the desk they did their best to get me a clean and confortable room to leave the lodge and enjoy London.

The room itself was very clean and spacious and I was pleasantly surprised given the price.

We had a lovely room , beyond my expectations given what we paid and the demand for rooms given the occasion.

We booked this hotel because it was cheaper than Premier Inn temperature of the rooms was better and it was easier to speak to someone if you needed anything instead of having to wait around for 10 minutes  will definitely book again

The room was modern, spacious, clean and comfortable.

Luckily we didn’t spend much time in the room at all.

Room was perfect with three beds didnt feel over=crowded at all.

As expected, the location was great, near the Russell Square tube station and a few blocks from the British Museum.

Close to the British museum and a wonderful park (which I can’t remember its name).

This hotel was a fantastic location just minutes from the tube stop with lots of restaurants in the area and very close to the British Museum.

A big hotel conveniently located near Russell Sq, close to Euston Station, UCL and the British Museum.

The hotel is 10 minutes walking distance from the British museum and close by to the theatres ( we watched Cinderella)and Euston station .

Location couldn't be better, tube stop close by and round the corner from The British Museum.

I always say near Russel Square as it is very convenient to reach central London (and the British Museum) and Euston and King's Cross stations (easy access to my family's homes).

We stay in London a few times a year and always stay in this hotel or the Tavistock next door owned by the same company as they are great value and also within walking distance of King's Cross and the British Museum,

This is so close to everything (especially the British Museum) and the Russell Square Tube station.

was horribly lumpy, broken and uncomfortable.

Room was small, beds uncomfortable as the springs were digging into your back.

We found the beds extremely uncomfortable, springs digging into our backs and pillows only an inch thick.

On top of this being an extremely budget style hotel, with tiny rooms and tiny, uncomfortable beds, that is more along the lines of 2 star motel, I had a serious safety issue that was never resolved.

However, one of the beds in the triple room should have been scrapped years ago - simply the most uncomfortable night ever.

The rooms at this hotel get so hot that you are drenched in sweat when trying to sleep very uncomfortable and unfriendly environment.

but not worth putting up with the uncomfortable rooms.

but mattress Def to hard for our liking actually very uncomfortable.

The beds were also so uncomfortable and you could feel the springs through the mattress.

Inside room beds very uncomfortable, mattress well past their best, bath poor and TV remote didn't work.

Very uncomfortable bed and pillows, one sachet of coffee, lots of outside noise as no proper glazing, could hear the next rooms conversions.

Now for the not so good: rooms are too hot, beds are small and uncomfortable, pillows thin and hard, noisy due to single glazed windows on a busy road.

Also, note that if you are travelling in the summer, there us no air conditioning which would make the rooms very uncomfortable.

On Saturday morning we were rudely woken up with the sound of drilling, hammering as if the walls were caving in.

Bathroom has terrible ventilation, causing the mirror to fog and the walls to drip If you shower with the door closed.

Walls between rooms are thin, and as we had some respectless and uneducated spanish young men just next room, we were not able to live as we wished.

TV should ideally be on the wall at the foot of the bed.

And don't get me started on the paper thin walls.

The carpet is threadbare the walls dingy and the trim and moldings are chipped and broken.

The water came into main bathroom as sprayed off the wall.

however was damp and there were visible signs on the walls.

on main road windows and walls paper thin no chance of sleep luckily we had brought earplugs.

The only problem we had was the wall sockets were not working so we would be unable to make tea or charge our phones etc.

You need the key card to put in the slot on the wall.

The rooms were basic and in major need of updating, paint coming off walls, doors and windows are paper thin and you can hear everything!

The walls are paper-thin, can hear conversations in neighbouring rooms.

Quite noisy, thin walls and single glazed windows.

Room 7801, not listed anywhere on wall plans so had to return to receptionist for assistance where we were escorted to the room.

Wallpaper was grim, shower was half falling off the wall.

- Not a single painting or picture frame on the walls
- Super thin walls
- Housekeeping came knocking on the doors from 08:00 (8 am) every day, so impossible to sleep late
- One night there where people banging on many doors looking for someone at 04:00 (4 am)

The cleanest of the hotel is very good.You are from 5 minutes by walk for underground; bus station and Nritish museum.

It was within easy walking distance of central London, with easy access to the subway and bus station.

but with the heat, the noise from the (busy) road outside and sirens (there's a hospital just up the road) we didn't sleep much on our first night.

but it does face a sometimes busy street.

Also breakfast was really busy every morning and people needed to wait for a table.

However Gower street isn’t too busy meaning there were no noise issues.

Still, I had a good night's sleep without any disturbing sounds coming from neighbouring rooms nor from the street which seemed to be surprisingly busy in the evening as well as in the morning.

As the hotel is situated on a really busy road, the traffic was quite relentless throughout the night.

Gower Street is a busy street, so light sleepers should consider bringing earplugs for peace and quiet during nighttime.

With no air conditioning the window was open which allowed the noise of the busy street in.

The rooms are comfortable and spotlessly clean.

We stayed in one of the family rooms, and while there isn't a lot of "flash", the room was comfy and clean, and the price wasn't astronomical, like most London hotels.

It’s great value for the cost with clean rooms and a full breakfast menu.

There were enough toilet/showers available and they were always clean.

but otherwise clean and breakfast was filling.

There is no through flow of air unless you leave the door propped open and it is very stuffy up there.. a noticeable difference even from the floor below when ascending the stairs.

We had to unplug the fan to charge mobile phones overnight so had to leave a window open in the heat, with the resulting street noise in the room.

We only had to keep one window halfway open to enjoy very moderate to slightly cool temperatures overnight during our stay.

Another point I noticed, was that every single fire door was propped open, despite them all having prominent stickers on the saying that they were fire doors and so must remain closed.

My room was very basic, a bed, a chair and some open shelves and a small open hanging clothes area, no  bureau, no desk.

but I never had a problem finding either open when I needed them.

Upon arrival we were given a warm welcome by Gwen and directed to our room - number 31.

We were in 4, with 2 young girls, and the room for 4 was perfect, with 2 different parts.

I had messaged when I made the booking to request a bottle of prosecco be put in the room.

It was nice to have a sink in the room, and it was easy to find a shower or bathroom when I needed one.

but had everything I needed, including a fan to cool the room on what was a very hot day.

Room was clean, location was close to station and city center area.

The room was quiet and private bathroom was very clean.
