Excellent historic hotel in the centre of St Helier, close to restaurants, bars and bus station.

but we were quickly shown to a table in the bar area.

The harbour rooms and Cafe bar are great places to eat.

The Cafe Bar restaurant has a good selection of food and is competitively priced.

There is plenty of choice for eating out at restaurants and bars which are within walking distance of the hotel.

From Luke on the night desk when we checked in, who every time he saw us checked we were having a good time, to Duncan and Kaye and their team in the breakfast room and café bar who ensured we had everything we could want (special shout out to Ani who was wonderful in waiting on us on our final morning - she couldn’t do enough.

The Pomme D'or occupies one of the best spots in town and access to the bars, restaurants and transport links is fantastic – assuming you ever leave the hotel.

The staff were all very welcoming, rooms were clean, comfortable bed, choice of food & drink in the downstairs bar was good & price too, wonderful breakfast choice, great location in the middle of town & a short walk to the bus station & the beach.

The secret Porters Store Boutique Cocktail Bar was great too, with so many cocktails to choose from!

We had breakfast in the Cafe Bar overlooking Liberation Square every day of our stay and had a delicious dinner in there one night.

 Our only complaint was the noise.

Had a meal in the cafe bar on two occasions and I was very impressed with the food both times  Had the same waiter Rachit both time and he is excellent.

Staff are amazing and the food in the Bar Lounge is excellent as is the service.

We only ate once in the cafe bar and the food was nice.

Excellent breakfast and good bar servivng snacks and light meals on the ground floor.

The staff were very helpful nothing was to much trouble and must give a special mention to Duncan who runs the restaurant superbly, food is out of this world and the Chicken Caprice in the cafe bar excellent, also great cocktails in the Porters Store below the hotel.

The location is perfect, right at the waterfront overlooking the harbour, within literally a few minutes walk of restaurants and shops, and the bus station and museums.

The hotel was very well presented and our harbour view room was extremely comfortable with a very well appointed bathroom.

We were undecided on which hotel as there was another hotel just along the coast..which we liked too.

great hotel location , harbour view room was excellent , hotel obviously steeped in jersey's history and you feel it ,nothing too much trouble for the excellent staff , would be my first choice for any future stay on Jersey

Duncan and his staff in the Harbour Room were excellent and made sure that you had all that you needed.

Location on the seafront could not have been bettered.

My partner passed away 8th Sept 2021 and he had booked us all in to go to the hotel he had always wanted to go to and to have a room over looking the Harbour , we were able to change our booking to this year on his aniversery and the hotel didnt disapoint it was everything we had hoped it would be and he would of loved it especially the amazing breakfast !

It is situated in the heart of town close to all amenities and close to Wharf and beach too.

The Hotel is located near the yacht harbour, the central bus hub is only a few minutes walk away.

Great location for getting around the island bus station very close by, together with all journeys the same price.

The rooms are extremely clean, the staff are courteous and attentive and the location is excellent, being only one minute from the bus station and two minutes from the shopping centre.

It is in an ideal location for travelling around Jersey - the bus station is just across the road.

We went in for lunch after walking from the museum just for a drink we were warmly welcomed shown to a table which had been sanitised and a menu placed in our hands.The drinks arrived in good time and the young lady chatted away as if she new us for years putting us at ease.Food was very good and plentiful  all in all a very pleasant experience 5 stars.

The hotel is situated right in the middle of St Helier and walking distance to most attractions including Maritime Museum, Jersey Museum and Elizabeth Castle.

The hotel is perfectly located for a day in Saint Helier and within walking distance to shopping, restaurants, museums and the port.

The hotel is in an excellent location for both museums and retail therapy.

Location was fantastic, even for someone with a few mobility issues walking was easy, bus station round the corner, 2 museums almost next door, St Hellier is lovely and flat with many pedestrianised areas.

over looking Liberation square and the harbour  allow plenty of time for museum visits they are jam packed and seem to go on forever.

Recently stayed at the Pomme D'Or for a family reunion, the location is superb, easy walking distance to the main shopping areas, the Maritime/Jersey Tapestry Museum and the Jersey Museum (All of which are worth a visit!)

Superb central location for Liberty bus, Jersey museum, Leisure centre and concert hall (Fort Regent).

It is interesting to see and hear the hotel's history referred to on many occasions as we visited museums around the island.

Whilst there were plenty of fruit & cereal on offer, the choice of cold meats, cheese etc as an alternative to the hot buffet was very limited and the bread selection - a small baguette - was particularly poor.

but the overall  experience we had was poor .

Breakfast is poor and personal at the breakfast service, specially the manager not polite at all.

Hotel is in a fabulous location, food choice in restaurant is good, customer service in restaurant was extremely poor with the staff being very unfriendly, miserable and bordering on rude, 

but the fresh fruit was tasteless and the cold meat choice very poor.

My only niggles were (a) the poor quality WiFi in my room and (b) no gym/swimming pool on site.

Staying at the hotel in poor weather we decided to have a drink in the hotel Lobby Bar - we had to sit in cold, windy conditions as the front door remained permanently open because smokers were standing in the main entrance and preventing the automatic doors from closing.

8 nights stay with a poor view is not ideal and common sense should of prevailed.

The whole set up in the bathroom was very poor and only at best, Travelodge or Premier Inn Standard.

but the main course was very poor, nothing had much taste or colour, I know you don’t go to these things for a great meal but have had a lot better, DJ was poor all his music was straight off of PC which should be fine, but the choice of music was very bland, might as well of put ABBA’s great hits on all night not just the three hours!

A very clean and efficient hotel supplemented by very good food and excellent service.

The staff were great at all times.The hotel was very clean and the food was of a very good standard.

Duncan and his team in the restaurant were absolutey wonderful, friendly, efficient and carried out their duties with a smile..

We had a lovely suite with all facilities, the breakfast and dinner were excellent.

The breakfast is well worth having as there is a good selection of both English and Continental food.

Salome and Takis took very good care of us from restaurant recommendations to help us plan our day on Sunday (most places are closed).

Service, food and cleanliness were excellent.

We have been to the Pomme d’Or hotel on numerous occasions and it’s never let us down the room’s are excellent and the food you cannot fault we also found the staff a delight.The hotel is in walking distance from the town and restaurants we absolutely love this hotel .

The hotel is a proper four star establishment with excellent staff and the room I stayed in was spotlessly clean, quiet and had a very comfortable bed.

All the staff were so friendly and helpful and we cannot praise them highly enough, particularly those at reception and Lal in the small lounge area.

This hotel has it all - great location, comfy room, yummy brekfast, nice staff and access to gym and swimming pool (although you have to walk for 15 minutes to get there).

Only thing I would say is that if you stay in a room around the internals of the hotel then you might want to add a night mask to your luggage as when the sun shines it kills even the blackout blinds.

On arrival to the room the windows were wide open.

although very noisy  from the traffic if you have your windows open, so best to keep them closed and use the air conditioning if the room gets too hot.

We only marked down the sleep quality as we were kept awake by drunken louts shouting in the street beneath our window late each night.

the hotel said it could have come from the scaffolding that was blocking the view from the window.

You can even hear their screeched through your paned windows.

May be OK if you like air conditioning and closed windows.

but once the windows were shut at night, heard no noise.

The view of the outside of the window was not an external view,

They are small, windows haven't been cleaned for ages, bathroom substandard.

The room was a bit noisey we could hear the air conditioning units from other rooms so had to sleep with the window closed.

the glazing on the windows meant that you could barely hear a thing which was quite amazing, especially as there was some construction going on nearby.

The only downside is that the hotel has no outside space or car parking facilities and no comfortable lounge with a view (windows).

I kept the net curtain pulled at all times.

Do not miss the breakfast buffet, which includes numerous local specialties as well as British and American staples.

The balcony had a view of the harbour and fort it was also very big.

The view of the harbour and Koules Castle from my balcony was lovely.

Our room - junior suite with sea view - was a good size wwith a nice balcony and great view over the harbour and to the Venetian Fort.

Our room, a junior suite on the third floor, had a fantastic view of the harbour and Venetian Fort.

The hotel is great - we had a junior suite with wonderful views of the old harbour.

Hotel is situated in a great spot with a nice harbour view.

Take the KTEL bus to Chania 15 euro’s -go after lunch and go early so if the bus leaves at 2:30pm go at 2 pm and you will get a great seat- sit on the left side of the bus as you enter you will get sea and coast views.

Bedroom suite very comfortable & had beautiful view of harbour & Koulis Castle.

We definately recommend it if you can spring for a harbour view.

This hotel is very close to the Venetian fortress, Ferry dock and the bus station.

The location cannot be faulted - not far from the harbour, close to so many restaurants and shops, the bus station, etc.

We then also had a similar walk to the bus station for onward transfer so it is perfectly positioned.

Clean and easy walk to the bus station, the Venetian port,  the archeology museum, and anywhere else in Heraklion.

We chose the Lato because it is very near the sea wall walks, the ferry Port, as well as the Archaeological Museum, the bus station, and just about everything else,

The hotel's location is excellent, just a short walk from the port and ferry terminal, and also a short walk to the intercity bus station.

Very well located between historic city centre, seafront with Venetian castle, ferry terminal and bus station.

We took the bus in from Chania and the ferry to Santorini so it was great to be within walking distance of the bus station and ferry terminal.

Well positioned hotel close to the old harbour (and near the ferries and bus station).And just a short walk to the centre of the town.

Location was great for me as about 5 minutes from the bus station which is also where you can get either a cab or a bus to go to the Knossos Palace ruins.

Also 5 mins walk to several bus station so exploring Heraklion is so easy.

The location was very convenient to go to restaurants, the Venetian fort, the bus station, and the ferry.

The location of the hotel is ideal for accessing the city center, and is just a couple minute's walk from the public bus station (which is where we picked up the bus (for 1.70) to Knossos).

It was easy to find from the bus station , just a walk up the stairs.

The bus station is a short walk from the hotel, making it easy to see other parts of the island.

The hotel is within walking distance to most of the sites and only blocks from the bus station and port.

Close proximity to bus station for Knossos Palace and ten minute walk to main town.

Although when on the balcony you can hear the traffic and planes once you close the doors the room is completely sound proof.

The room looked untidy with some hairspray stains on the bathroom door and sticky surfaces.

We were there several days and could never determine why we constantly heard slamming doors.

but extremely noisy… we could hear, the cars, the planes and people next door.

The railings, the elevator, the doors and rooms.

but once evening came or when the balcony doors were shut, we heard nothing.

We had a harbor-view room, which meant a teeny balcony with a low partition from the room next door - when our neighbor also came out on his balcony, we were inches apart and had a lively conversation!

Rooms do get noisy if rowdy guests go up and down corridors due to Poor door Insulation.

There was a lot of noise from the floor above and the banging of doors through the night echoed throughout the hotel.

The only negative was the state of the bathroom which could be cleaner as far as it concerns the walls of the douche and the bathroom and the door which were dirty.

but if you only want a drink you can’t sit with a sea view, you have to sit in a lounge area looking at the building next door.

Small balcony with two chairs and a small table, possible to open the balcony glass doors for fresh aid and to dry laundry on!

Bathroom a bit small, difficult to open door and get in / out, especially with someone else inside.

However, what decreased the quality of our stay was the fact that some so called athletes, a Greek football team in particular, was also staying there.They were shouting and banging doors all night long.

Door to bathroom/toilet was placed in awkward position such that you will need to move to the shower end in order to close/open the door.

Additionally the elevator was right outside the door.
