The Gallery is a large, light and airy restaurant and the tables were well spaced.

Staff were excellent It was very clean and the bed superb
Food in the Gallery was very good

but there's room to improve in terms of staff interaction and general friendliness (although the serving staff in the Gallery were excellent at breakfast).

The hotel is good value for money considering its fantastic location next to Tower Bridge.You can easily walk to Tower Hill tube station or walk across the bridge to the south bank area including the Hayes Gallery shopping area with direct access to London Bridge Station, the Tate Modern Gallery and at this time of year the Christmas market stalls.

I booked this as part of a package through Omega travel that included a trip to the Saatchi gallery to see the Tutankhamen exhibition.

Check-in / Check out was very speedy and I had a lovely lady help me with my suitcase at breakfast and give me one of the best tables over looking the Thames in The Gallery restaurant, the staff were all so helpful and lovely.

We dinned in the Gallery Restaurant which has lovely views of the marina.

I stayed here as I was taking part in the Vitality Big Half marathon and the location was ideal, beautiful hotel stunning view of London Bridge excellent service and the Gallery restaurant is a must very comfy bed with good room service facilities

We had a gorgeous meal in the gallery restaurant on Saturday eve.

Major attractions such as The Tower of London, The Shard and The Bridge Theatre are within spitting distance and a slightly longer and wholly pleasant walk takes you to The Tate Modern, The Globe Theatre and The National Theatre, The Hayward Gallery, The Festival Hall etc. etc.

Initially had a bad experience with no air conditioning and staff at reception that didn't careless about my complaints.

Air con was not functioning in the room and it was hot and stuffy.

The bathroom was terrible, the service to fix anything was terrible, 
The AC didn't work it was hot and terrible to sleep.

AC in the room did not work properly and kept making sounds all night.

We requested fans for each room as we were prepared for the heat.

There was no air conditioning in the room and the fan in the bathroom did not work.

We had to endure a balmy 79-80 degrees in the room throughout out entire stay (even at night, dropped to 78), was provided with a desk fan; despite 3 attempts requesting to have AC fixed at the registration desk, we eventually found out they can't fix it;

Rooms are tired and I and I had to change as shower was broken and air con did not work.

This time there was no air conditioning in the rooms (which we were not advised of at check in).

We also were given another room and that cooling system did not work.

The aircon was not working and the fan was not effective.

but not working, even though there was a fan it was pretty hot all night.

The room that we stayed in looked tired and the air conditioning was very weak.

No air-conditioning and no fridge, at this point I was too tired to complain again.

Our other son said that the air con in their room was poor

The rooms are dated in area with black on the tiles around the bath.

Ceiling shower not high enough for tall people.

but the bathroom dated and could do with modernisation.

Outdated, and a massive environmental water disaster (Faucet running, single use towels, no water stop on the toilets, old and outdated bathroom with rusty rods).

toilets clog and no one came to fix it when we called.

All the drawers either had missing or broken handles making them useless, the safe was broken and the bathroom in dire need of having some money invested in it with its broken and cracked tiles. .

although the price was acceptable for Central London  the rooms need updating badly especially the Bathroom .

The bathroom floor hasn’t seem a mop or hoover.

Something was spilled all over the toilet.

Hotel reception not responsive to requests to deal with repair in room - locked wash hand basin for duration of 4 day stay Slow to allocate room chosen and paid for ;had to wait in another room while issue was supposed to being resolved

Positive point good views Sadly here’s  the negatives Snarky check in with two members of staff looking at us and pointing of the computer screen with no communication to us at all all very strange Room basic only with poor toiletry facilities mini bar had wine in a tin Breakfast not good at all

I was disappointed we had to ask twice for a lightbulb to be replaced in the bathroom.

-completely OUTDATED; place is aged, needs serious upgrades throughout
-no fridge (mini fridge door was sealed off)
-no exhaust fan in bathroom, so bathroom steamed up when taking shower in addition to already having the balmy 79 degrees present
-Elevators are SOOO slow, had to wait up to 10 minutes to get from 7th floor to 1st floor, eventually discovered the freight elevator
-Breakfast was disappointing to say the least, thankfully our breakfast was included in the rate we paid;

Very comfy king size bed, black out curtains.

Only thing which was nice was the comfortable beds and the full English breakfast.

Comfortable bed in a room that has seen better days.

My husband and I enjoyed a good night’s sleep in the comfortable bed and appreciated the air conditioning which was really efficient.

The bed was very comfortable and air-conditioning was a blessing in the heat to walk into a cool room was excellent.

Rooms were very quiet and comfortable beds.

This was not the bed's fault - it was a lovely comfy bed with a mattress topper and my husband slept like a log.

The bed was very comfortable, as were the pillows, the bed was covered with a light quilt which was perfect for a good night sleep.

We had a super king bed which was very comfortable and we had a mini bar with beer & wine which was restocked on our 2nd day.

Fantastic weekend away,staff so friendly and helpful,free mini bar which was restocked each day and bed was so comfy.

The room itself was clean, great TV and wifi, room service available, and very comfortable bed and chairs.

Stayed here for the London marathon in a suite, the location was perfect and the room was quiet and had everything you would need.

We stayed here for 2 nights, hotel well located and easy to travel around.

It's a great location right next to Tower Bridge and opposite the Tower of London with a short walk to bus stops and the tube.

Great location by Tower Bridge and 2 minute walk from Tower Hill tube station.

The hotel was in an ideal location next to the Tower bridge, and the Tower of London.

Enjoyed experience, good views from room, clean well presented, room was very small for a double and felt cramped, breakfast staff very friendly, reception could have been better took a long time to check in

My wife and I stayed 2x nights over a Sept weekend in a standard double room overlooking the St Katherine's dock at the back of the hotel.

We stayed in a 10th floor family room overlooking Tower Bridge and Thames and every morning as well as evening took our time to just stand an look.

We had a nice view from our room that overlooked the boats outside.

but did get Tower view room so that was a bonus.

We had a bridge room view which was absolutely amazing.

the double room overlooking the tower bridge is very nice.

We were all on the 8th floor and out of the 3 rooms 2 had views over St Katherine’s dock.

Location and surroundings were good, there was not far to transport/underground and not at least the view from the room, when you paid a little extra.

The location and view is great especially we have a bridge view room.

The Tower view rooms really do offer everything you'd hope for and the location of this hotel and the fact it provides reasonable parking made this a wonderful place to stay and explore the city on my wife's birthday.

At first sight this hotel looks amazing, with its lofty, airy lobby and the view, which is second to none!

The view was amazing, the room nice and big with comfortable beds.

We would always stop in there for a Strawberry Daiquiri wether we were staying or not because of this drink and also a very pleasant place to rest with the view of the tower bridge if your lucky enough to get a window seat especially the bay window table.

Views for days, booked a couple of nights to celebrate the start of a new year and enjoyed the view so much, the room was perfect and well equipped and covid was taken very seriously.

Had an amazing stay in this beautiful hotel, the staff were all amazing, the room (suite)was clean and facilities were good, the view was breathtaking overlooking the yachts in st Katherine’s dock and the Canary Wharf/dock lands skyline.

Setting was lovely overlooking the marina .

It is near everything and has the best view in London.

Check in easy and well managed, cleanliness of hotel excellent, all elevators working and quick, breakfast excellent, views amazing and balloons and cake delivered to our room for our daughters birthday.

There are so many activities to do in Carmel: Beach playing, window shopping, gallery wondering with unique natural beauty around: Big Sur, Monterey Bay, Seventeen mile drive.

Great view in the hotel room or on the outdoor deck, better than many national parks.

We like national parks lodges and the rustic look of this property, combined with the amazing last minute price ($350 for king ocean view direct on their website) seemed like a great fit.

Fairly accessible to Carmel and close to the national park.

It’s lovely, and similar to one of those classic National Park Style buildings from the period.

Great location with gorgeous views of the coast.

blessed with one of the country's most photogenic locations, enjoying commanding cliffside views of the coast and ocean, the original designers saw fit to place the hotel's pool in the middle of the resort,  nowhere near the front.

Certainly the hotel has a nice view of the coast.

I wanted to propose to my girlfriend in a beautiful setting on the Pacific coast and I chose this location.

The room was very nice with a great view of the coast line of The Pacific Ocean.

The hillside setting is quiet, offers great privacy and has amazing views of the coastline along with incredible sunsets.

This is the nicest resort for visiting the Big Sur, Pfieffer Beach, and many of the nice stop along the California Pacific coast.

The restaurant and bar have very best view of the sea shore and food is good breakfast, dinner and good wines.

The best view of the coastline is from the main building cocktail lounge.

The best thing about this hotel is the location outside of Carmel, directly facing the beautiful coastline and ocean.

The proximity of this resort to the Pacific coastal spots of Point Lobos, PCH and Big Sur are awesome!

The hotel is located high atop the hills along highway 1 with stunning views of the coast.

Lovely resort with a spectacular view of the North California Pacific coastline.

Absolutely spectacular view of the Central valley coastline and ocean.

Gorgeous views of the Pacific and the coast line.

Each rustic room has a wood fireplace and a good view of the coast.

Sit in the lounge and enjoy the one of a kind views of the coast framed by cantelevored floor to ceiling windows.

The Carmel Highland HRC has an outstanding location and views of California coast.

The main building was fine and the restaurant has an amazing view to the rocky coast and the ocean.

However, with a hotel at this price, I wouldn't expect towels are yellow and old, saw someone else's hair on it.

Did not try the onsite dining or onsite spa as very pricey.

To make matters worse, we got changed a $20 daily “resort” fee lending the question, why?

Others have pointed this out: this hotel is not a good value for the price.

I have no idea what we paid for the room,

It is not the experience I expected for the price as charged.

And the price was completely ridiculous for what we got vs expected.

For the price of the meals, the takeout was not satisfactory.

but the Hyatt never got paid due to Expedias unsavory business practices.

Paid "extra" for an ocean view room with fireplace and ended up with a gigantic trees and bushes blocking most of the ocean view and a room hanging over the front entrance of the hotel so TONS of traffic noise and dumpsters just below.

Carmel is very expensive and unfortunately the hotels here are as well.

The rates that are being charged currently while the pandemic continues and services cut back are ridiculous.

.. overpriced, overworked staff and apparently purchased by MARRIOTT three years ago. .

Carmel and Monterey are very expensive areas in the summer.

To top it all , it was extremely over priced for this terrible experience

The reply from Marriott Corporate Counsel states, “Please note that should Owners fail to pay amounts due related to the HRC Interest, a foreclosure proceeding may be initiated against the Owners”.

Also be aware, our room was on first floor, and we could hear everything from the upstairs guests when they were in their room.

We were able to switch to room 536 which was just perpendicular & on the top floor - so no more stomping above us & slightly less road noise, & the room did not smell - it just didnt have a working fireplace (which use Duraflame logs, not true firewood that the timeshares use, btw).

It was quite loud and hard to hear the receptionist behind the plexiglass shield.

Sounds like it's time to do some upgrading.

We stayed here for a night, the room was old and the jacuzzi was so loud that as soon as we used it, the reception called us with noise complaints from neighbors- if it’s so loud that it cannot be used, there is no point in having it in there.

My main issue during this visit was that there was on-going construction on Highway 1 at night which meant being stuck in traffic (not moving) for at least 30 to 40 minutes during dinnertime.

Part of Highway 1 was closed further down the road and Point Lobos park was also closed so maybe that prevented a lot of traffic.

But unfortunately, we didnt get the chance to enjoy the balcony or the sound of the waves, as first , its right by the PCH 1 freeway we hear cars more than waves crashing and then we are inhaling not fresh clean sea breeze air

If you opt for an "ocean-view" room, you will hear the road noise.

Poor quality noisy rooms with uncomfortable basic bathrooms - not a luxury destination resort.

Tiny, uncomfortable ill-equipped bathrooms, noisy rooms (can hear everything neighbors do), dated decor.

My only complaint is due to it being an older hotel, you can hear EVERYTHING.

You always hear people complain about their timeshare and not worth it, and see ads on how to get out of them,

The only disappointment was not hearing from the Concierge in response to my email indicating it our our anniversary.

What I received, 1) dirty room — bugs and dusty a/c, —  2) couldn’t care less service and mediocre food in the restaurant,  3) lots of road and hot tub noise easily heard through the paper-thin walls, and 4) closet-sized exercise facility with creaky equipment.

Your are above highway 1 so there is a lot of traffic noise at all hours.

But the buildings are old and wooden, and there is no sound insulation.

The food at the restaurant was very good,

They have sweeping views from the rooms and the restaurant; sunset is prime and vast.

The restaurant kept the kitchen open late for us to serve a light meal following our late arrival.

The good: Jaw dropping views, excellent lobby, bar/lounge, and restaurant.

but lovely menu for dinner should weather make leaving the property hazardous.
