but desperately needs a carpet clean and a general deep clean.

Carpets were very badly stained and dirty in all rooms.

but every surface was dusty, the bathroom mirrors were splashed upon, and the carpet had not been vacuumed upon our arrival nor were any of these things addressed by the cleaning staff during our week’s stay.

The apartment itself (the lounge area needed a little bit of update, carpets looked tired.,

NB - Management - carpet is very tired and it needs replacing -

but very tired with old, worn out carpets and furnishings - certainly not luxury or what we expected for the excessive price paid to stay there.

First of all, fabulous position within walking distance to so many attractions.

The location is sensational, as many others have pointed out.

For more than 30 years, 44 Curzon Street and very few other locations in London have been home for us.

Location is the best as right next door to a fantastic coffee shop and of course Shepherd Market ---pubs ,wine bars , restaurants and handy shops.

Location is amazing, close to everything, especially with a major Tube stop within 5 minute's walk.

Superb location smack dab in the middle of Mayfair, right on top of Shepherds Market.

Perfect location,restaurants and bars just around the corner,everything on your door step and a cozy apartment to come home to.

but my main irritation was the location of the unit.

Great location, relatively big bathroom, kitchen allows to cook your own breakfast and dinner.

Superb location within short walk to tube and easy walk to shops.

Location is great, comfort also and the service from housekeeping to concierge is a big plus.

With such a central location will return again for both business and leisure purposes.

Curzon is a great location to explore London, 15 mins walk to regent st, 15 mins walk to Harrods, 20 min walk to Theatres.

An historic building in fabulous West End location offering comfortable accommodation and excellent service.

Size of the apartment was wonderful; superb location and helpful staff.

Even with the ankle, I was able to walk to Westminster Abbey, the National Gallery, the British Museum, and several shopping areas.

The apartment was very nicely appointed with a large bathroom, nice bedroom with dressers and double closet, a quaint kitchenette and a nice sitting room/living room with tv and balacony overlooking the street.

We were in apartment 10 on level 4, a nice view of the street and the Sheppard Market behind us.

Pleasant sitting room with nice view of street, fully capable kitchen with all required equipment to cook ourselves a meal, lots of storage space for luggage and clothes and terrific bathroom.

We had a 1-bedroom apartment on the 4th floor with a balcony overlooking the street.

If you get the top units you have the street view and sounds below that is worth the dollars as well.

but I'm never keen on bedspreads as they never get washed as often - much prefer a duvet)

- great bathroom with double sink, the rainforest shower worked a lot better once I'd cleaned off the little hard water rings (note for the cleaners there)

- glorious front room with window & balconyette door overlooking the street outside, CD player with ipod dock / flatscreen TV / DVD player and nice quick reliable broadband wifi.

We were able to walk to Oxford street and regent street.

One block from Piccadilly and Green Park, three blocks from Hyde Park, walk to almost everything in the West End, and with a five minute jaunt to the tube, the rest of London is easily accessible.

Stayed here previously and a great base & location for London sightseeing with tube access within a few minutes walk.

!for the London Marathon only about 10minute  walk from the finish line .

The location in Mayfair is ideal for the visiting the Royal Academy and Buckingham Palace and not too far a walk to theatre land.

The location was perfect, we even accidently walked to Piccidilly Cirus thats how close it was to iconic London sights!

We had a really lovely stay at 44 Curzon St. We were attending a wedding at the Ritz, the proximity to the apartment was 5 minutes walk.

The apartment was very clean and comfy ( maybe the bed was not that comfortable) the shower was the best clean and hot water pump nicely) I just loved the apartment) we walked to everything we wanted because it was amazing location.

We were very close to one of our favorite Indian restaurants in London and 5 minute walk to a great Underground station (Green Pak) with convenient connections.

Perfect location for us too and we walked in to Covent Garden each day ahead of various activities we had planned.

44 Curzon Street is not just wonderful, it is also in a wonderful location that you can walk to many of London's big tourist attractions

Ideally located in Curzon Street, an easy walk from Green Park tube and in the heart of upmarket Mayfair - what a refreshing change from an hotel!

Air con / heating was not working well, one minute cold,

Having been fortunate enough to upgraded on my booking, I can only think thank goodness, because the room, whilst clean and tidy, wasn't anything special, was cold (even after closing the windows) and made working from it tight and uncomfortable.

Bathroom was cold and appeared to have no heating or extractor fan so everywhere all steamed up when shower used.

but only did 20% 
Went back to see the lady to then be blandly lied to saying she said £50 and for the other person to back her up when he wasn't even in the room( he got phone call ) 
Eventually got 50% back but not the point I've left with a bad cold ear ache and horrible chest

The duvet was not much better and the room was also incredibly cold.

It was a very cold weekend, the room was not heated when we arrived and it took us a day to find the heating controls on the side of the bed (heating system seems to be behind the headboard - and it is noisy!!).

This didn’t bother us as we booked this hotel for location and didn’t spend time in the room.

The staff is lovely and the hotel itself is very quiet even in such a central location.

Excellent location, lovely rooms (with very comfortable beds) and a very nice guest's room downstairs with free coffee, water etc.

A fantastic location in London, so many attractions close by.

We had booked to see ‘Fools and Horses’ at Haymarket Theatre and this hotel suited our budget and location.

Location wise this couldn't have been better for us, we were able to walk everywhere we had planned for this trip.

Trafalgar Square and the National Gallery are literally 2 minutes away.

Close to the National Gallery, National Portrait Gallery, Buckingham Palace, St James Park, Westminter, Parlinment and Big Ben, Horse Guards Parade and Trafalgar Square.

We chose this Hotel as I am in a wheelchair and it is central to everywhere we wanted to go; theatre, National Gallery and Regents Street/Liberty.

You are a few minute walk from National Gallery and National Portrait Gallery, 10 min to Parliament and Westminster Abbey, and walking distance to theatres and Covent Garden We were pleased with out stay,

This was convenient for The National Gallery and restaurants we wanted to visit, as well as Tube access.

Awesome location off of Trafalgar Square w the National gallery (free admission) less than 5 min awat. Within 10 min walking distance to the London eye and Big Ben (when the scaffolding is off !)

The view from the room was at the back and overlooked the air conditioning units etc.

The staff were so helpful, even put a banner (which I had sent) and bottle of vino in the room for when she arrived.

We had a one bed room with kitchen for a family if four.

We unexpectedly had to extend our stay due to storm Eunice, staff made this as easy and stress free as it could have possibly been and were very understanding of our situation~

Room was also kept clean and tidy with assistance available to us 24/7.

Clean rooms, great breakfast, very welcoming staff day and night.

Another bonus of this Hotel is the complimentary water stations - you can grab a bottle and refill to take around London with you - great for when you are out and about during the day, or even chilling in your room.

Steps from Trafalgar Square this historic and elegant hotel is the best place to stay as everything is in easy reach .Wonderful interior details great room and superb dining and breakfast.There is a lounge and beautiful areas to relax after work ot sight seeing.

We booked through booking.com and had a genius discount so paid £130 per night for room only.

Overpriced & bar prices very expensive  rooms average & quite small

We had a small room and it was very expensive (about $320 per night Cdn)

I was shocked to find the cost of the room was about £30 more on checking in than the stated price - due to 'taxes' which were in VERY small print on the booking form!

The cost of rooms is not very high given the location of this place

Had to go downstairs in attempt to get the actual room I paid for - then was shown a better room

Found another hotel only 300m away for a cheaper price and much better rooms so we moved for the rest of our time in London.

but then woke up hot in the room and uncomfortable.

I had a very uncomfortable disturbed sleep simply because the bed was far far too firm.

We had a lot of activities arranged for our visit and the hotel was so well situated that we were able to walk to where ever we needed to go.

Just off Trafalgar Square, great for walking to the West End to catch a show.

From the moment we walked in until we left, we were greeted by very friendly, professional staff.

It’s a 3 minute walk to the tube and if you enjoy walking there’s much to do without having to take transport!

In a nice area which is quite close to Oxford Circus if you wanted to walk it there if not there are 2 tubes near the hotel

Hotel position was great,  just off Trafagar square with a short walk to Covent Garden and Leicester Square.

You can walk to make places from the hotel as well if you are a walker.

We attended a theatre show which was a 7 minutes walk from the hotel.

Despite that we had a wonderful stay with the theatre only 10 mins walk away, even pushing a wheelchair in my seventies.

When you first walk into the hotel you are wowed by the marble foyer.

The location is one of the best parts of the hotel, right by main tube lines and perfect location to walk to see nearly all of the main sights of London.

The car park is only a 5 minute walk away

Everything was on the doorstep, we shopped, walked along the riverbank, ate and drank.

Nice hotel ideally situated for the major sites, Trafalgar Square at the end of the Avenue, parliament easy walk away.

but cleverly designed to take advantage of the small space, although a little more clothes hanging area would've been helpful.

but if you are in London for several days with changes of clothes and luggage then find somewhere else to stay.

So ultra modern inside it’s ridiculous as things don’t work as they should, for example hangers so large heavy and oversized they mishaps your clothes.

Only downside was lack of anywhere to put your clothes.

3) More room for clothes to be hung up would be helpful.

but space is used very effectively with a platform bed with under bed storage for luggage and clothes.

Just one little thing that is not perfect : the room lacks a cupbord or something to put clothes in when you stay for some time.

The bathroom sink is very uncomfortable and has no place to store luggage and clothes, which makes it very uncomfortable to move.

but the drawers under the bed held empty suitcases and clothes.

We found our room tight for space, we stayed for 4 nights and had 2 hand luggage and 2 large 20k cases and we lived out of our cases as there was nowhere to hang clothes hence the 4 star review as this was frustrating.

And if you want to stay longer - then a need for a more storage of clothes and luggage and a chair even more.

If you are staying more than 2 days I would advise you take some extra hangers for clothes.

Rooms are a bit too small with no clothes close space and drawers.

Whilst coat hangers, coat stand and hooks were supplied in the room, it would have been nice to have some drawers or shelves for our clothes.

On a down side, there was no storage space for clothes and the basin in the bathroom was ridiculously small in relation the the massive size of the bathroom (small points).

The rooms are small, and there is little storage space for clothes, and none for large suitcases.

Free water and biscuits also toiletries 😀Negatives very small fridge couldn’t put a bottle of water in there and no wardrobe or hangers to hang up clothes, there’s a coat stand with hooks on.

The only storage for clothes is under the bed in one large pull drawer.

The apartment only has 3 hooks in the hall for your clothes and no other hanging or shelving space!!!!?

Another bonus to the basement is you're only one stop from the main floor; when we stayed on the top floor we found we often had to wait for the elevator (there is only one) and instead took the steps down rather than wait.

The single lift is terrible takes ages to get to the floor and is often full when it does.

There is only one lift which can sometimes take a while.

Very slow lift and the bed against the wall is not the most comfortable

Only issues with the building is the sole lift is painfully slow.

There's no cleaning service (not surprising, typical for apartments), still, the maids managed to monopolise the lift Friday morning - annoying!

Obviously lift gets very busy during peak hours.

They make up for everything, even if the lift takes a bit longer to get me to the upper floor.

But this time, there was a little problem with the elevator which made it stopped for a while, that should be really uncomfortable and inconvenient. But thank god this hotel has a really professional team and they helped me to solve many problems such as they helped us to bring my suitcase to 8th floor (by stairs!!!!)

Check out was a breeze, just dropped the key in a box that they had placed near the elevator and off we were.

Also elevator was quite slow so we opted for stairs every time.

If you fancy a place on the 7th floor with a broken lift (and every day promises that it will be fixed very soon), if you like seriously claustrophobic rooms and bathroom, if you think it's a great idea to have a sink attached to your wardrobe and removed from the bathroom, not working internet, no room service or cleaning service untill 3rd night and a rather useless staff - then this place is for you!

The only issue we had is that you can wait a long time time for the lift as there is only one.

I use a small mobility scooter and the building has level access and a lift.

button whether you want to go up or down, so sometimes the lift stops unnecessarily.

No view, and only one lift - so you could be waiting sometime.

Could do with more lifts (ended up using the stairs mostly - and you'll need your key card to get out of the stairwell!).

There is very limited foyer space so you essentially sign in on an iPad and hop straight in the lift.

Very friendly staff, superb location close to train, restaurants, and shopping, and very clean, modern room with a super comfy bed! !
