The Lodge at Woodloch  is surely deserving of national  high ratings in the spa industry.

The entire experience is over the top, people are great, food is scrumptious, and facilities are state of the art.

Dinner was so delicious and we ate so much that we couldn’t eat dessert.

For breakfast and lunch we had Maureen as our server and she was excellent!

A 20% "service charge" increased our cost for a 3 night stay by over $ 500!

The old saying "you get what you pay for" couldn't be more true here at Woodloch.

Wine list is varied across types and prices.

The owners clearly pay attention to details because everything is so meticulous here.

There is no end to what is available with most included in your room rate charge.

They said they would take care of it, they found a tire (hard to find) at a dealership 90 mins away, picked it up, replaced the tire and charged me, just slightly more than i would have had to pay if it happened at home.

Having the 20% gratuity rolled into your costs really allows you to relax and not have to worry about a thing.

Be aware alcohol is not included and quite pricey, the wine and drinks were excellent.

The atmosphere is one of luxury and relaxation.

I did the restful retreat massage and it was wonderful.

Our room was beautiful, spotless and restful.

Very relaxing to just sit in the warm water and breath in the fresh air.

CONSISTENTLY NICE, and the place is a dream - spotless, with excellent food, an amazing exercise facility, and a lovely pool/spa.

We were sent multiple reminders about our trip, and had help from the Spa Concierge a month ahead of our stay to schedule our spa treatments and dinner reservations.

Things like having our luggage in our room waiting for us upon check-in, the variety and quality of gluten free food options, the cleanliness and size of our room and the care of the grounds, variety of spa services and included amenities, as well as classes offered.

Everything from the staff, to the spa treatments and facilities, to the food, to the accommodations and overall environment/property are truly flawless.

We ate in the dining room as well as ate in the garden for dinner.

There are a number of saunas (try them all) and whirlpools (try them all too).

WOW -  The staff truly knows the meaning of CUSTOMER SERVICE - from the moment you approach the lodge and hand the valet your car (a big welcome and amazing smile)  until the time you check out at the front desk (promptly preparing your bill and sending someone to fetch your luggage), this is the BEST TRAINED AND FRIENDLY staff I have ever seen.

The staff were very knowledgeable and were there to guide us and make sure we had a good time.

From the minute I was greeted at the gate to the minute I left to go home, my stay was incredible.

The attention to detail is apparent in everything from the decor to the food to every employee you come in contact with during your stay.

Such great energy and very knowledgeable.

The spa and hotel are gorgeous, clean and so welcoming.

Despite COVID we were accommodated safely in the gallery room with service from The View restaurant.

Evening meal in the Gallery was wonderful, service was exceptional and my daughter and I were offered a lovely champagne cocktail which we had before dinner.

It is conveniently located for the south end of the Yorkshire Dales national park.

Thought it was national smile day as staff and residents alike were all beaming, good for the well being

Breakfast in the view restaurant was very good.

Breakfast was delicious and so relaxing just looking out over the rolling hills.

Dinner at night was delicious - fillet steak and chicken dish was extremely tasty and cooked well.

Coniston Hotel is a delightful and very well  ,the staff in particular the Wedding Coordinator were helpful and friendly, the food was sumptuous and the service prompt, during the drinks reception and the Wedding Breakfast we were Royally entertained by the Chris White Jazz Trio who created a happy atmosphere without anyone having to raise their voice

We had a similar experience at breakfast.

The breakfast was lovely, a really good choice on the menu.

The restaurant food was also below standard, food overcooked and some inedible

We ate several times whilst at the hotel including breakfast, lunch and evening meal.

We liked making our own toast as we were able to actually have proper toast rather than the barely browned bread you get so often in hotels now.

Booked a luxury suite at a cost of £1,400   breakfast and dinner included.

We had booked with breakfast included and the food was good and having seen the price of a full breakfast (£18.95) we’re glad we had.

Breakfast delivered to the room was also perfect.

The atmosphere was perfect when it was full and when it had emptied out.

Super comfortable bed and exquisite bathroom.

Rooms are very dated and the food is at best, average.

Our room was facing the lake side and was “signature double” and whilst clean and having complimentary toiletries, seemed rather basic in its decor,

Food is great, rooms are wonderful surroundings are perfect, everything seemed just as one would expect from a country estate “hotel & Spa” except when you discover that the spa is in fact a separate entity.

Everything in hotel was clean and decor was easy on the eye.

The festive food was top-notch and the breakfast took all morning to eat (we opted to take breakfast in our room, and it was very plentiful!).

Dinner was fantastic and I thought the service was great and there was a lovely atmosphere.

Superb food, fabulous views, wonderful walking and a lovely relaxing spa experience where every effort was made to make us feel safe while not losing the hotel atmosphere.

The room was dated, furnishings especially the bedding were of extremely cheap quality.

It was so nice to be there and look at the lake and the autumn colours.

It’s one of our favourite places to stay; it’s homely and welcoming, with great food and views.

We stayed for a night in a luxury room and it was lush, very spacious with a great balcony overlooking the lake.

next morning we settled up and went for some woodland walks in the grounds which were stunning and full of autumn colour.

Fab scenery and the spa is breathrakubg with an outdoor hot injury Jacuzzi with drinks service is lush.

We stayed in a beautiful superior room and enjoyed the spacious design, the comfy armchairs and the huge bed.

The room was spacious with a lovely view - slightly dated

Our overall stay was tainted somewhat after a very long drive to have the issue with the pool and I think the handling of it was very poor.

The bar offering in the spa is very poor to say the least, no gin, no pimms, in fact hardly anything at all,  cocktails at £10 each would be ok, except they were pre made out of a carton, so that's really is a no no for us, part of the cost is freshly made and watching the barman perform his skill.

Which is poor when you are only supposed to use the pool for 15 minutes.

but still no excuse for poor food which was expensive at approx £17 for main course.

The poor;

❌ The room we stayed was sub-Premier Inn, for twice the price - tatty and tatty; noisy with an adjoining room with zero sound insulation.

Our only criticism was the vegan cheesecake was really poor - it shouldn’t have really left the kitchen as it had split -

My wife had a poor nights sleep as the bed and pillows were too hard for her liking,

The weather was poor so a walk was out of the question, especially as we were dressed for a Girly weekend not an outdoor hike.

Poor quality food and poor customer service.

5 th visit , and what’s happened to the coniston we knew , service on reception was  poor and confused , spa access now to rationed 2 hr slot , and numerous other issues

but literally never had such poor service.

The food was pretty poor in the restaurant and the hotel room had seen better days, doubling as something else as there was a projector screen on the wall.

Let down by poor standard of room service which was 45 minutes late, expensive and small in proportion.

but this was a poor showing from a team that really do know better. .

The breakfast was absolutely terrible value for money and the service was poor.

No bread, no cold meats, cheeses, smoked salmon etc - just a very poor start to the day.

they refunded 50% which was ok with us…not sure how I would have felt about the quality of the meal if not.

My wife and I stayed here last week very nice room in a lovely area what let's it down is the menu,staff and the restaurant.why would you allow dogs in a restaurant a big NO NO.

I can’t bring myself to go into details, as I’m so disappointed…should’ve packed a picnic and eaten it in bed!

We visited both Macleod's Bar and had our evening meal at The View which was beautiful.

Next was food and we opted for afternoon tea which came in a bento box.

Mid week deal to incl restaurant allowance and use of spa.

First visit to this beautiful setting - we came for brunch and a spa.

The food was excellent, and the service very friendly and efficient.

Breakfast the following morning too was very tasty and lots on offer.

Our evening meal was with us within minutes of us ordering.

The food and dinner setting was outstanding.

I had the coconut cheesecake for dessert,unbelievably the base was not a biscuit base

We had eat every night in the hotel and had afternoon tea we walked round the grounds and it was an honour to spend the weekend here thank you for making it a special weekend after we had a tough 12 months.

We went for a family meal today at your view restaurant.

The grounds are immaculate the the setting stunning, go for a walk around the lake and get up to the Spa.

Stayed overnight and had a Spa experience for my friend's birthday.

Booked this as a special treat, just the 2 of us for a spa overnight stay.

The spa access was fantastic, we went around 5pm so was quite quiet.

I had a 60 min signature facial and my husband had a 60 min signature back massage and we were both very happy with our respective treatments.

We had booked an overnight stay August 19th with a sunset spa experience.

The spa experience was very relaxing, just what we needed.

The spa is fab and probably one of the best outside hot tubs I have been to.

From the massage up to going in the thermal suite it was an excellent experience and well worth the money

I knew I would have to pay extra if I wanted to use the spa,

the gentleman that wore the black suit kept a close eye on the restaurant and everything are fine detail perfect also to the staff in the spa the young gentleman that checked us in was so polite and had a laugh with us which made us feel at ease  , the lake view was an experience also want to thank Shannon who served us in the restaurant and at the bar  a lot cannot fault this hotel Top class service.

Five stars for the spa experience - absolutely amazing. However, weirdest check-in experience - told to get changed in room and not to take anything to the spa as the lockers are only little (??)

Didnt get to use the spa facilities vut the room was immaculate, the hotel was lovely, we stayed in the dales room.

The staff were friendly and attentive and really made our stay special.

but it was dealt with really poorly, with a dismissive ‘Il tell the kitchen’ before quickly retreating from the table.

Staff and house keeping were really helpful and we loved meeting Badger, the owners dog.

but you all did 'your bit' in helping us have a great stay.

We went here for high tea and were very happy with it, the sandwiches were nice and the cakes and scones were excellent.Service was friendly and helpful.

One lady member of staff with glasses in the restaurant was super friendly,

The room was fantastic, large, with a terrace and stunning views.

Fantastic setting overlooking the lake on a lovely day.

Hit it right with the weather, sitting out with fantastic views across the lake.

They also have Off-roading there and a shooting range, and plenty of land to walk or just take in the beautiful views.

Fabulous superior king room overlooking the lake, lovely lunch at Blooms, followed by a 2 hour spa experience and then dinner in the View Restaurant at night.

The hotel is set in stunning grounds and the rooms were fantastic.

So I would definitely go again - gorgeous location, stunning views

Came to the Spa yesterday.From start to finish, friendly  staff, fabulous spa facilities.The outdoor hot pools where a particular favourite with such a view and the Private garden bath experience was certainly different and so relaxing..Little extra touches like  health shot to start the day, drink of green tea.

Food in The View restaurant was superb, service was attentive and the ‘view’ over the lake and Dales scenery and country estate is majestic.

but in that two hours you have amazing facilities with beautiful views.
