The location was perfect for the things we wanted to do in London.

Hotel’s location in London couldn’t be 
any better!

The hotel was conveniently located near two metro stations (Waterloo and Westminster) as well as in walking distance to many of the touristy sites - eg.

Nice breakfast, lovely staff and great location.

Nice hotel with a splendid location to explore London.

Excellent location - easy access to 2 tube stations, bus stop & ferry dock.

On the plus side, the location is terrific - beautiful views of the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, the river, and the London Eye and Waterloo Station are very close.

Anyway, the only thing that we liked was the view from the entrance of the hotel and the location.

The location is excellent within easy walking distance of Waterloo station and the South Bank.

the location is very good and close to many London attractions, comparing with the money you spend for each night, is not a good value.

Doormen were nice. Overall, we were really disappointed by this hotel, 400 pounds a night is not cheap so we were expecting so much more,  Last year we stayed at the Waldorf Hilton by the Strand and that was a much better experience (it has a warm pool!)

I raised these points and the issue with not receiving a text at check in and was told they would ‘investigate’ the latter and that they only  replace towels and clean rooms every three days which in my opinion isn’t good enough for the money we paid for our stay.

but there are plenty of decent hotels within a few yards of this hotel for a fraction of the price,  don't waste your money.

After over two hours, off sitting around and not being able to relax, I called to check why it was taking so long and I was told that we only booked for a room, that We should come down stairs and pay for the second room, I explained we paid £1298 for two rooms, two nights and the money was already taken from my account the very rude staff insisted I must come downstairs.

Like others have said, when paying almost £750 for a 2 night stay I would expect my room to be turned.

Shocking that rooms are not serviced daily; overall value for money is poor.

Paying ~£380 per night I expect better…..

The idea of spending any time in this room, or perhaps working in there for an hour or two would simply be unbearable.

First of all there’s no Covid rules that states they cannot clean their rooms daily., they are trying to save money.

Paying this price/ standard I do not accept I should have to make the bed.

Save your self some money, wish we had just checked in to the premier inn over the road!

We have one more night here and are considering leaving so that we can use a spa elsewhere, what an absolute waste of money would never stay here again.

Rooms are cleaned once in 3 days, poor breakfast, no customer individual friendly approach, minimum cleaning in the hotel, does not correspond to 4 star hotel, the only positive thing is location, otherwise no value for money

Considering the price of the hotel the service provided I don’t think it’s very good value for money and I will not recommend to anyone else or stay there again.the pool facilities were poor and on one occasion all the the showers were off

Customer service from telephone query before arrival to leaving the hotel after paying for a 2 night stay was deplorable .

Why should I have to soend more money for what I had booked in the first place.

The pros - comfortable bed, good shower, quiet and an excellent location for various tube lines via Waterloo Or Westminster ( Northern, Jubilee, Bakerloo, Circle and District lines) or to walk to major sites and attractions (20 minute walk to National Gallery and Trafalgar Square).

I selected this hotel because it had an indoor pool.

Excellent breakfast and spa area with pool.

The spa area was lovely, we had the space to ourselves for our 25 minute visit to it, nice pool, steam room and sauna.

Before entering the social I decided to go to London I chose the Park Plaza London hotel and I chose the choice Great location opposite the Big Ban The hotel is really very good big Swimming pool is good Morning breakfast is good in general The staff is very helpful

The lighting in the pool area gave an illusion of "romantic setting".

Lovely swimming pool and excellent spa facilities.

Zero attention to detail and sloppy service. Went to use the swimming pool: as you walk out the lift "have you booked?!"

We were really pleased by the quality of the hotel, it’s excellent location, facilities, and pool.

The facilities for gym/swimming pool were faultless and probably the most memorable part of the hotel.

This time round there were queues to check in, when entering the room there was a distinct smell of sick (which was addressed by spraying something,

In general, I also did not like the reception area, which was more like a "market" - people sitting on the floor; guests are unsure where to queue; and staffs (who appear to be "managers") just look around staring without trying to make the reception area to be more welcoming. 2.

but had to wait 30min in the queue to perform again the check in.

- arrived at Studio King room with pull out sofa bed with wooden slats missing and broken 
- had to get moved to another room
- breakfast was a disaster - queuing and cold self service - I thought I was in an  emergency accommodation centre
- 2 coffee machines for 100's guests
- rooms not cleaned 
- had to go find housekeeping to get fresh towels as there was no response to my telephone request
- bar service - staff rude and impatient
- rubbish not removed from rooms
- on check out day, 

All what they have done was 30% of the 5 and a half nights we have spent there and they have paid the meal that we ate when we were waiting for them for 2 hours with 2 kids to fix the room that was supposed to be ready.

The last thing is that someone stole from our room sack with sunglasses we have bought! Someone has to check whats going on cause i saw in the same day someone else has been stolen in the room (check booking review in 15.8.22)

We waited for around 20minutes in a queue to find out that our room was not ready yet.

There is no designated sitting area in the lobby, so one has to stand while waiting in the queue for the check-in.

The check in experience was awful: long queue of frustrated guests waiting while watching about a dozen staff just wandering in and out of a door behind the desk.

There was always queues in reception because not enough staff.

We waiting until 4pm , 1 hour after our check in and finally gave up waiting and went back up, after waiting there for 5 minutes a manager appeared who said the room isnt ready still

Breakfast was in the ballroom with over 100 tables which meant having to queue for 20 mins just to get coffee from the machine.

Breakfast could become very crowded with long queues for some items (omelettes, waffles, special coffee, i.e. cappuccino).

4 cooking stations so no queues and all very well organised.

Our room was large and clean, and had floor to ceiling windows overlooking Waterloo Station.

After spending 400 pounds a night for the room this felt like a kick in the teeth,

I had booked 4 rooms for the night before London marathon.

Stayed here for London marathon weekend, lovely spacious rooms, all amenities plus more and really comfy bed/bedding that meant I had a good nights sleep the night before my run!

The room was very spacious and with a great view.

I enjoyed the room I will stay - I will most likely stay at this hotel for next vacation.

The breakfast was really good, and I especially appreciated that since I had bought the "Bed and Breakfast" package, my breakfast could be pre-ordered for morning delivery to my room.

Room ok , facilities good and the views of the Big Ben ( because the hotel is just at the end of westminster Bridge) .

Carpets in the hotel rooms are very unhygienic.

Overall lovely hotel, loved our room with London Eye view, all clean and complementaries were a lovely touch to our stay as it was my partner’s 40th birthday.

I again said I wanted the room to be cleaned.

Tried checking me out 3 days early, twice turned up at room to clear our my stuff.

I accidentally booked the non-refundable room with incorrect period of arrival and stay.

The amount of dust and cobwebs in what should be a clean room was disgusting.

There was a brutal smell coming out of the shower sink.

He was clearly experienced and knew what he was doing as he also shouted at a trainee that we first approached about the over charge until we saw him!!! Disgusting!!

Once we went to the room we found a wet patch next to the bed which resulted in having to throw damp socks into the bin as they also had been stained orange from the carpet.

That’s not sanitary if they touched or breathed on them in this day of Covid! Gross!

But those tired, sticky, smelly old rooms need to be stripped and every element needs to be replaced.

Second The rooms are really worn and show their age, the carpets are stained and disgusting you can view the picture below.

but I smell a briefing to a PR agency ‘make a cost saving exercise sound like we are doing the client a favour’
I cannot see it is more hazardous to me getting the bed made on day two than it was on day one.

One thing that did bother me was there was a lot of mildew above the shower….a lot!

Also on arrival the reception area smelt really bad of drains not the welcome you want!

The bathroom had greasy spots in the sink and what looked like residue from excessive use without cleaning, coated to the material.

but the smell of sewage is overwhelming and for the price we have paid, not acceptable.

but the sheets/pillowcase did have a bit of smell.

However we did have to ask for a change of room due to an overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke in the room.

August 21, there was an awful smell in our room, which I reported and was told someone from the hotel would contact me they didn’t.

We spilt a little water on floor and when cleaning up with towel it came up unpleasantly soiled .

We did get a view as allocated the 12th Foor

Fantastic hotel and great accommodation we had a London Eye view.

The views from the hotel were an added plus.

Sold on the location, view and the size of the room.

Great views from the atrium, and a very comfortable bed.

The room was large and very clean with special view of Big Ben.

If staying in a room with a view, ask for 468 and you won't be disappointed.

We did learn we could get a better view for only $50 GPB per night.

Room 823 has a view of the Big Ben and other buildings.

The view from the hotel was fantastic and depending where in London your going it’s situated in a good area.

Lovely views of Westminster from the lobby.

However the water was glacially cold and we lasted about 5 minutes before we couldn’t tolerate the cold anymore.

I stayed for two nights and no one cleaned the bathroom or paid any attention to noisy water pipes that made loud humming noise that woke me up at midnight.

We were disappointed that over our two night stay we didn’t have our room cleaned, weren’t provided with clean towels and didn’t have the bottled water replenished, especially as we hd our young children with us.

The room and in particular the air conditioning on the hottest week in UK history were great.The only slight downer was that as the room is only serviced every 3 days, (not an issue to us) we had to request more toiletries and coffee several times and the bathrobes and water were not provided until we requested them.

There were also no extras such as water, biscuits or dressing gowns like there had been in the first room.

Water spots on all metal surfaces, dust and old dirt on the surfaces, tables in common area not cleaned, couch had pen writing all over the white exterior, Television remotes never worked properly, bed sheets had stains and the list can go on and on.

Unwashed glasses, unmade beds, no water, insufficient milk, dirty bathroom.

The water pressure in the shower was no more than a dribble.

We rolled up towels to soak up the water during each shower.

After that no water is provided on other night.

but unfortunately everything was luke warm, the scrambled egg had a funny texture to it so was left.

but not cleaned or any replenishment of tea, water etc until the SECOBD time of asking.

We went to the room and I was surprised to see there was no water this was very much needed at this time.

Please give some thought the the environmental effect of the wasted water lost during the time it takes to warm up ! !

He said something about not being able to take a glass of water outside of the hotel.

Shower had a leak which meant water went all over the bathroom floor.

However our room had no water which I think was poor given the price, the drinks are very overpriced and the one thing that warranted this low rating was the bed, as we had a triple room I was on the pullout,

Nothing in the room, no bottle of water, an empty mini bar.

While the main restaurant was top-notch, we found that our hotel experience would've been better if the following items were addressed:

1) Freezing cold temperatures of the indoor pool.

But the constant sound at night of what sounded like a wind turbine was terrible and it wasn't our air con as that was not on!

To make matters worse, the heat in the room wasn't really able to warm it up quickly, and seemed to turn off on its own because of a infrared sensor in the ceiling in the middle of the room.

We complained about the temperature in our room and it was obvious that this is normal as they immediately delivered us a small heater for the bedroom.

Just make sure you ask for a room that is not directly above the air conditioning units.

The only downside was the tv remote was as temperamental as the air conditioning panel

though it was somewhat anemic when compared to American air conditioning.

Being an HVAC specialist myself I presume that the fan coil unit had not been cleaned lately.

but I really didn’t enjoy the tea because of the noise and stuffy room so it was a lot of money for the experience.

Really friendly and helpful staff, fantastic gym, great location, comfortable well appointed rooms, good food.

Excellent stay in London with the Best location for sightseeing!

One of the best features of the hotel beyond architecture is the location - right across the river from Westminster Palace.

As far as convenience , it is in a great location close to the beauties of London such as Big Ben and the River Thames .

Perfect location with so much to do within just a walking distance.

The staff was lovely and the hotel is beautiful and in a wonderful location.

The hotel is perfectly located in the heart of London, across from attractions such as Big Ben and London Eye.

This is the first time I have visited London and the Marriot County Hall is simply fantastic, the location is perfect for a newbie like me, it is central to everything which allows you to pretty much walk everywhere.

Food, service, location, everything was just so perfect.

Wonderful hotel and location with great staff.

The hotel has an interesting location, next to Thames and the London Eye could be seen from our room.

The location of this hotel is what sets it apart, the amazing room designs and overall history of this place.

Great location for taking in the sights and shows.

White Hall, National Gallery, Shakespeare Global and Tate Modern were all within walking distance.

We did use the lovely swimming pool which includes the famous County Hall maze.

We also took the opportunity to use the pool each morning.

But the pool is great, the temperature was perfect, and there were only two people there, including me.

This is a hotel that trades on its location and fact it has a pool, so it knows it doesn't need to offer high level of service or rooms that are particular great.

The pool was great - big by London standards, clean and not over crowded.

The gym is huge and has everything and the pool is nice at 25m.

The swimming pool is by far the largest that I’ve had the opportunity to swim in within London.

The swimming pool was a wonderful respite from all the madness.

but this worked out very favourably as we had the entire pool to ourselves!

The hotel is just waking up from the 3 months Virus lockdown, and several facities eg daily housekeeping, the swimming pool, and a restaurant are not yet available again yet.

I'm sure with the history of the building, it was not an easy job to add a huge pool to the top floor of the County Hall building!

We were so happy to spend time together out of busy working and life  so to be honest a few little niggles such as poor service in restaurants and a huge queue on arrival / not enough staff helpful at check in.

Cue more waiting, none of us ate together, and the experience was stressful and annoying.

personally, if your paying over £420 per night I expect to be able to order what I wanted for breakfast - waiting time was long after ordering and nearly 20 minutes wait for my sons breakfast after being given ours.

But it was very close to our stay so hard to book restaurants and other activities I was waiting on to hear if we'd be swimming at those times.

Only a few seated on a Sunday afternoon and we waited 20 minutes for a drink order to be taken.

As to the hotel, aside from a lengthy check-in queue upon arrival, too few people staffing the reception and no apparent process in place for fast-tracking long-years Marriott BonVoy members, what annoyed me right from the get-go is that the fire-extinguisher by the elevators, which is visible from the reception area, hung there crooked, and numerous of the bronze, rectangular elevator

It seemed from the moment we arrived, the front desk was understaffed with only 2-3 managers working the desk among a constantly forming long line of guests waiting to be helped.

The trainee who was there had no initiative to alert for someone else to come help serve other guests who have been waiting.

The large room provided ample space and the bathroom was ideal.

The rooms were clean and spacious and the food was great.

The room was of a good size with everything in good working order.

The rooms are beautiful , the architecture is stunning, and the amenities are great.

We were very impressed with the room and actually both said it was one of the nicest hotel rooms we’ve stayed in the uk.

The room gave us access to the M Club where we got a great welcome from Martina and was a convenient place for a quick soda/juice and drinks and snacks in the evening.

The rooms are comfy, spacious and nice to relax in.

Executive room was excellent as was the use of the M Club Lounge.

Our room was lovely with a nice size bathroom and amenities.

Rooms were clean and tidy and the hotel was very modern.

but there is a magic is watching the Parliament House and Big Ben from your living room window n London eye from your bedroom  . .

The room was very clean and well turned out with a lovely bathroom with Molton Brown toiletries.

However, on a plus point when you eventually reached your room they were very well decorated and clean.

Strong coffee, juice and a number of choices of hot and cold plates.

In a normal cafe we could have gotten these in dishes not takeaways!

I cannot understand the ridiculous comments in a recently-posted review about limited food - we enjoyed various dishes, and drinks were gladly sent up from Gillrays Bar! Once Gillrays re-opened, I had the most superb spatchcock chicken (No chicken dish on the menu?)

Husband had to go down and collect them as he found them sitting in the restaurant when he went to get us forks they also didn't bother brining to us when asked an hour earlier.

The whole presentation of the dish was amateurish and clumsy like a high-school assignment done by kids who had no idea what they were doing.

It was also rather annoying that the water bucket in the sauna was always empty on each day I used it, and there is no wooden spoon provided to ladle water onto the burner to generate some steam.

There is always something, whether the room isn't as expected, the receptionist is rude, or you have to wait 30 minutes between each dish.

I told to the waitress and ask for the name of the chef maybe he can come, she said “yes of course Is Jordano” he came and he try to explain the plate cause he’s Italian 
I recommend this hotel 100%!! !
