The Savoy sorted parking out for us and checked to see if we knew about congestion charges etc .

When we arrived at the hotel the staff did actually point out the extras that come with fine hotels via Amex.

Next time I will make sure what rooms they will give to me before I check in.

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we had an incredible stay.

From the moment we arrived we were looked after.

From check in, the room, afternoon tea, breakfast, attention to detail was superb.

From the moment we arrived we felt at home.

From collection at St Pancras Station to arrival, check in , table reservations,  staff go over and beyond , treated like family and they are so courteous and assist any way they can.

A special mention for Rob, the doorman, his greeting upon arrival was the catalyst of how our weekend experience was to be - Brilliant!

From checking in to leaving the whole visit was second to none and we loved every minute of it ,

From the valet parking on arrival to leaving 24 hours later we we stunned by everything.

At 7.30 we had a booking in the River Restaurant, the first table we were offered was in the middle of the room, I asked if we could sit by the window, the lady checked and said we could.

From the moment we arrived the staff were friendly and helpful.

It seems from conversations with our friends that the champagne arrived in their room some time while they were having dinner and it was waiting for them on their return.

When we arrived, there was a handwritten note and a plate of pastries and fruits waiting for us, which made us feel welcome after an arduous journey.

We went for our night and I just want to say it was absolutely fabulous from the minute we arrived to the minute we left.

Within minutes of my arrival, some of the senior staff were already calling me by my name.

From our arrival to departure we had an absolutely amazing experience.

From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and made to feel at home.

On arrival we were so warmly greeted, we had complimentary champagne, our room was amazing, and spotless!

Had afternoon tea at the Savoy for my birthday with my mum.

We were celebrating my wife’s birthday and we’re surprised with a small birthday cake and card signed by the staff.

The General Manager responded to my complaint on Trip Advisor and we stayed again on the occasion of my wife's birthday.

What a experience, treated my wife and daughter to afternoon as part of my wife’s birthday present , the staff were absolutely brilliant and nothing was to much trouble.

Chelsea went above and beyond when she found out we were celebrating my partners birthday, by bringing out a piece of cake with a candle in, also written in chocolate around the plate was happy birthday, so special and a wonderful touch.

At the end of our stay whilst we were waiting to catch our train home, we had a wonderful conversation with Debra (Patterson) allowing both of us to express our sincere thanks to the staff and the Savoy for for making my wife's birthday a truly wonderful weekend to remember and one to cherish for the rest of our lives.

My sisters met us for lunch at The Savoy Grill on my birthday and Sean went above and beyond for us all - so many times that I lost count.

Exactly what I would have expected and more, this was a gift for my wife and mother for special birthdays, afternoon tea in the Thames Foyer, nothing was any trouble and in fact with my wife being in a wheelchair the staff were exceptional especially Sean Davoren.

A family friend recently booked two nights, three rooms at the Savoy for a number of special birthdays.

We had an absolutely fantastic afternoon enjoying tea for a friend’s 60th birthday.

Back last year we tried to book the savoy with one of their vouchers my husband gave me for my birthday .

This was until we stayed at The Savoy for my wife’s birthday party in May.

We visited the Savoy for a 1 night stay to celebrate my 30th birthday.

The turndown service in our room was a wonderful surprise as were the white chocolate/victoria sponge cakes left as a birthday treat.

My partner took me here for Afternoon Tea for my birthday, to sum up, absolutely outstanding, 10/10, service was faultless, Amazing Teas & Cakes, ( Champagne )  Beautiful setting.

Our Art Deco room was lovely & my birthday cake & balloons, plus the handwritten note, were a lovely touch.

We then finally received our hot drinks (that were cold), and a crack in my teapot.

The breakfast can only be described as disgraceful, cold sloppy scrambled egg, no other choices, greasy half cooked bacon and most things barely warm and trying to get orange juice or economy bread toast we lost the will to live.

We found the staff to be cold and unwelcoming and disinterested in any residents.

Secondly the baked beans for my breakfast were cold.

(not very covid friendly) the eggs were cold on the egg Benedict,( no surprise as they had been on a journey ) we had to ask twice before we received coffee and we’re not offered any refills!

My wife and I had a few areas that we thought should be improved, for example on the first day - our toast and pancakes were cold and we gave the feedback straight away - perfect for remainder of stay.

Being able to dine outside only we visited this restaurant on a cold May evening.

We wanted to move tables as we were a bit cold and she accommodated our request without issue.

We ordered room service with which took well over an hour and arrived cold.

Toast was cold and cardboardy, bacon was fatty and tough and the a la carte doesn’t work with delays to get the attention of the waiter who seemed absent a lot of the time.

The breakfast was a little disappointing (including really bad cold coffee) and the American cocktail bar far too loud, aggressive and unpleasant in the evening.

My husband had pork chops and you cold cut them  with a fork.

Somehow it was warm without being too warm or too cold.

Breakfast had a varied selection of both cold and hot food as one would expect and this was of a high standard.

Small gym, few machines, disappointing breakfast, bad timing ( they always took an eternity so serve the plate and the latte or capuccino was in the end cold and the NEVER offered a new one) .

The juices were kept cold in chiller containers and the coffee was hot.

Opened in 1889, taken from Google. So here is the scoop, it's fabulous, in a tawny area of the theatre district, beautiful parks, a quick walk to the National Gallery, near public transportation, and by the way, it has a theatre, currently playing Dolly Parton's, "Nine to Five."

Close to main attractions such as Covent Garden, Trafalgar Square, National Gallery, British Museum and Theaters.

Whilst the other famous London hotels sit mainly to the west, the Savoy is literally next door to London’s Theatre land; a five minute walk from Trafalgar Square, the National Gallery, the Thames, Covent Garden, the Royal Opera House; a ten minute walk from Piccadilly Circus, Leicester Square and then onto Regent Street or St James’ Park and onto the Mall towards Buckingham Palace.

but in a relaxed and quieter environment, and a short walk to the National Gallery and Covent Garden.

Trafalgar Square, the National Gallery, and National Portrait Gallery are about eight minutes on foot.

Still it was close to some of the main attractions, such as the National Gallery, the Houses of Parliament, Buckingham Palace, etc.

Things were done almost before you had finished asking.The hotel is situated in a prime position on The Strand - 10 minute walk or less, to Trafalgar Square and National Gallery.

The location is quite convenient to the National Gallery and Portrait Gallery, Trafalgar Square, Covent Garden, Courtauld Gallery, Charing Cross Station and two Underground lines.

Fitness center and pool - Clean, spacious and OMG - the amazing jet in the pool was literally a restorative and rejuvenating experience.

The pool was great, with the jet stream making it a challenge to get some exercise.

We had a great time in London, the hotel and the pool were amazing and it was great that we had such good weather when we were down there to really make the most of it!

My wife and I enjoyed the small-but-perfectly-formed swimming pool.

Pool was lovely with steam room and sauna.

We went out for a leg stretcher before returning to take advantage of the swimming pool, which we had to ourselves.

Though I arrived a bit earlier than my check-in, I was very pleased to be able to enjoy the hotel's wonderful pool and spa while I waited for my room to be ready.

Swimming pool was brill and kids really enjoyed.

We also visited the lovely pool area which was nice for a short visit.

I hate sealed hotel rooms, the room had everything we needed, a trip to the pool and steam room was a relaxing hour before we went out.

The pool was very relaxing and quiet, evening and morning.

Went into the spa and pool, which was lovely also.

There is a whole Gym Complex here and an extremely well looked after Swimming Pool that is incredibly enjoyable.

The spa and pool were immaculate, and our suite was more than amazing with incredible views of the Thames River.

We were lucky enough to have the beautiful pool to ourselves & has the best spa facilities I've experienced across the world.

We dined in The River restaurant and enjoyed cocktails at the Beaufort bar, plus the in house breakfast and pool in the morning with the girls.

Had a lovely three night break at The Savoy.The hotel is beautiful and all the staff are amazing.I can’t thank the staff enough they really look after you and make you feel extremely welcome.We used the pool while we were there and had the whole pool to ourselves.The location was fantastic for us as we were going to shows in the evening.We will definitely be back

but it’s great that the Savoy has a pool .

An excess of people certainly wasn't an issue when I visited the tranquil pool.

though they a starting to price themselves silly.

I did pay let’s just say ALOT for two rooms.

but we saw people in there with shorts and flip-flops, a complete 'no-no' for a restaurant charging those prices and the reputation it carries.

but we have stayed at multiple places where you pay for "luxury service" and do not receive it.

On booking in we were told we had been upgraded from a DeLuxe King to a Junior Suite at no extra cost.

The ‘interim’ billing shown on your TV are very confusing and overcomplicated (breakfast supplements are deleted at check-out if you have an inclusive rate; the accommodation additions are an optional gratuity for non-restaurant/bar staff).

I know you might say you pay for the experience

Only slight negative was the final cost of having all meals at the hotel, very pricey;

At the end of our stay, when we were presented with the bill, we found a charge of £29.60 per night added to it - when I queried it, I was told it was a service charge to pay cleaners, porters etc and I could have it taken off if I liked, to which I replied, 'I would like!'

The room we paid for was very disappointing,it even overlooked on to air-conditioning units on the roof outside, we did want to spend our stay in the room to rest catch up and chill-out

Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff, I know you pay a premium for a hotel of this standard

This was my favourite experience of any hotel stay.

Over and above anything we have ever experienced any where else before .

We were very well looked after, we tasted some amazing cocktails and also experienced the amazing way that the staff make them, so professional.

Seeing is believing,  its the fabulous staff and the history that makes this the best hotel in London , you won't stop anywhere else once you have experienced the 'Savoy' and it's grandeur!

It is a special place with excellent hospitality, restaurants and accommodating staff.

To complete our experience we were lucky enough to meet Sean as we were checking out, just as entertaining and charming as portrayed on TV.

Too bad it had loud Europop music and no books to read.

It also means that loud sound from amplified music at weddings and other events disturbs the guests.

It is in a terrific location, close to National Gallery and theatre district.

A short walk from the National Gallery and theatres. 8.

The staff were extremely pleasant especially Donatella.The hotel is situated on busy Haymarket handy for the National Gallery (2 mins) and in the heart of theatre land

Around 200 metres to Trafalgar Square and The National Gallery, so in a great central location.

Easy walk to lots of London attractions eg Buckingham Palace, Churchill War Rooms (highly recommended), National Gallery etc and easy tube access to the other tourists spots.

The theater district is close and the National Gallery, Portrait Gallery, and Trafalgar Square are just around the corner.

Extremely well situated just next to Picadilly, theaters, and 100 meters from the national gallery.

but it was occupied for parties during two of my visits - that is disappointing but I also understand that this venue does have a wow factor for events.

The pool was incredible and just as it looks in the amazing photos.

The award winning pool downstairs will capture your imagination the moment you dip your toe in the water.

The swimming pool area was gorgeous and would rival most top spa pools.

Property also offers full bar and dining in the lobby, an honor bar cozy shared room off the lobby (with food/drink 24x7 that you simply sign out to charge to your room),  pool, gym and lobby.

There's a great pool, a decent workout facility, great public facilities (including excellent art everywhere) and very good restaurant and bar facilities, including excellent breakfasts.

When we arrived he gave us a short four of the hotel including the swimming pool.

Love the swimming pool , beautiful rooms and decor throughout .

We used the hotel pool which was equally impressive in fact every aspect of this hotel is pure indulgence with its impeccable design features.

And third and most unfortunate, the website shows a lovely relaxing pool.

Pool was also pleasant and friendly staff.

The bar staff are wonderful and the cocktails are very 'instagrammable' while also delicious!

Pool has beautiful lighting--and is large!

Hotel also has an indoor pool along with a nice gym.

There is a beautiful pool area and I also had massages before and after the run.

If you have the time the swimming pool is something else , then the central location perfect for exploring London .

There is also a large swimming pool in the basement which is terrific in Central London.

We took full advantage of the facilities during our stay, swimming in the luxurious underground pool, enjoying a leisurely breakfast (open until 11) and a couple of glasses of champagne in the bar.

Breakfast was also a delight, if a little confusing with its lengthy lists of tariffs and prices.

I imagine the steep price of the room includes use of the beautiful pool and gym, so when the owner/manager chose to “double dip” and risk not only the wrath of the guests

but when 3 middle-aged women want to share a room, it is really difficult to find a property without stratospheric prices that gives each gal her own bed.

All things considered, the Haymarket is expensive,

We had stopped coming to London as accommodation was always such an expensive disappointment

.as any stay in an expensive hotel should be. .

This means that the premium you are paying for these lovely amenities is wasted, as more often than not an event is taking place.

This one is a little smaller and a little more expensive.

You pay for the location & well appointed rooms - other than that it's quite pricey for what you get (boring pool area, small lobby, mediocre in room dinning).

The drinks at supper were priced rather steeply

The issue they need to address is reagrding water, we had asked for extra bottles of water and the hotel refused to give more than 6 bottles of evian water, when you are charing premium for the rooms I don't understand how 4 more extra bottles which we were refused would have made any difference to the hotel.

I wish we had stayed longer so I could spend more time in these areas and check out the pool.

The pool is lovely and breakfast is excellent.

So, if you are thinking of booking this very highly rated and expensive hotel, and would like to use the pool or the gym, be sure to ask if they are double-dipping by booking an event in that space during your stay.

I am a serious swimmer and loved having the pool entirely to myself.

We will definitely be back and next time will stay long enough to enjoy the pool!

We booked the Nash room for 18 of us and had drinks in the pool bar beforehand.

We did not eat at the restaurant

The pool waiters and staff were incredible.

Would recommend to stay here for families as the pool downstairs is great for kids and the location within walking distance to everything.

although we love the Langham, and picked out the Haymarket because of the pool and the location. When we arrived it was a heatwave (well, 28 degrees!)

However, this particular Firmdale hotel regularly uses the areas advertised as guest amenities - the honor bar, the library, the pool - as event spaces.

Right off Trafalgar Square and in the heart of the theater district, yet quiet and peaceful at night.

The hotel is great..  it’s tucked away on a little street in the Theatre District.

The location is excellent, on Haymarket and close to the Theatre district and all the sights.

It's well located in the theatre district, and had very good facilities.

The walls are padded which absorb all the sound from outside and the windows (some massive) are double (if not more) pane.

From the walls to the carpet to the furnishings I was surrounded by the epitome of British design.

More frustratingly, the loud music thumped through the floors and walls and up into the guest rooms.

The bathroom had both a shower stall and a huge tub with another tv built into the wall  for long soaks.

TV in the wall of the bathroom so you can sit in the tub and watch.

It was my big birthday this year and I knew I had to spend it at the Corinthia London.

We visited the hotel for three nights as a treat for my husband’s 50th birthday.

Our sons kindly bought us a nights stay and lunch in Kerridges Bar & Grill for our birthdays last year

Visited for my birthday and absolutely absolutely loved this hotel.

My friend and I decided to have a late birthday celebration here and went for an afternoon tea.

My friend had one of the big 0 birthdays in August so I booked the Corinthia for afternoon tea.We thought the atmosphere was lovely, very calm, beautiful decor especially the chandelier, the meaning of the red crystal was explained to us.

I booked for a special birthday occasion for one night I wasn’t aware of this until later in the evening when returning to my room from a theatre trip and having drinks in the hotel bar.

Played Happy birthday and some of our favourite tunes on request.

The staff were very friendly, we went for a birthday and they had left us a birthday cake in the room which was lovely.
