I organised a surprise afternoon tea for a friend’s 60th birthday and everything was successful, great food , helpful staff in particular  Mrs Jackson and Svetlana.

We recently had a family meal to celebrate my Sister-in-Laws Birthday at the Clermont's on site restaurant and we cannot praise it highly enough.

Just came back for a one night stay with a friend for her birthday, fab location for all things London.

Went to The Clermont for afternoon tea for my mum’s 80th birthday the hotel is amazing, the staff were very attentive and the afternoon tea was fantastic and to make the experience even more special they brought out a piece of chocolate cake and sung happy birthday to her.

Celebrated my 40th birthday at the restaurant.

I came back for there great service they really were the best, it was my wife’s birthday and they made it so special would 100% recommend to anyone I know, the food was sooo nice as well.

Considering we were getting a great deal anyway they went above and beyond, it's is my other halfs birthday and they really made an effort to treat him to a special evening.

This was a surprise birthday trip that included an overnight stay at the Clermont, and from check-in to check-out it was an exemplar in customer service.

Recently booked a 4 night stay for my wife's birthday.

Renata went above and beyond with her service, even surprising my friend with a cake and candles for her 50th birthday.

The icing on the cake was being served a slice of birthday cake with candle and a happy birthday sang by all the dinners .

They arranged a cake for my daughter for her birthday and it was delicious.

My wife and I love afternoon tea and we booked this for my birthday.

We spoke to her between courses, she was attentive to us at every moment, and at the end she had a very special gesture, she surprised us with a piece of cake and a candle to celebrate my birthday (written in Spanish, as we are from Spain).

The food was excellent as was the service, special mention for Renata who when found out it was my husband’s birthday brought out a slice of chocolate cake on a decorated board with a candle (a lovely touch)   Will definitely return

I came here as a surprise for my birthday - they especially gave us a room at the front with great views and even put some chocolate cake on the table which was a lovely surprise!

We stayed at The Clermont, Charing Cross from 6/19-6/24 for my daughter’s 16th birthday and it was absolutely fantastic!!!

Special highlight was our youngest boys told the foyer staff it was their birthday so they all sang ‘happy birthday’ to them before we left, made our stay a little bit more special!

However, she had checked me into a room above a burger restaurant, next to the hotel lift and a a few yards from a busy traffic junction and my window looked out on a busy pedestrian walkway.

The only extremely minor criticism is the lift is soooo slow!

The only elevator in this wing was out of use during our whole 4 night stay and this was a major inconvenience.

1) elevator was not working, had to carry bags up stairs, no accommodation, 2) air conditioning was not effective for an 80 degree Fahrenheit day.

We returned from dinner one night to get trapped in the lift, after finally getting ourselves back to Ground Floor after many minutes we advised reception who said they knew about the faulty lift.

The centre piece is the eye catching spiral staircase still bearing scars from incendiary bombings also check out   a quirky telephone box by the lifts.

Our only small issue with the room was that we seemed to be a room which was the furthest possible from lifts and stairs etc.

This was a bit worrying in case we would be stuck in the lift in a fire .

but at a new section that you need to take two elevators to reach.

Outside the lift, meant it was noisy with footfall and then at midnight the music from the bars started up.

There were no signs by or in the elevators explaining this complex navigation.

On the downside, the Buckingham Wing is a long way from the hotel entrance (you have to walk down several corridors and take 2 different lifts to get there) and

We were assigned a room in the Buckingham Wing which meant go to elevator on second floor, cross an interior bridge, take another elevator to a different floor then find your room.

but we were never given a better room position and had to take 2 lifts and with the walking involved it took more than 5 minutes to get to and from the room within the hotel.

The hotel is actually spread across 3 buildings connected by a bridge & this can be a little tedious as it means 2 elevator trips and a long walk.

but come on Amba the lift was extremely annoying!!!

The breakfast room was crowded and as with the lifts, insufficient for the size of the hotel.

The rooms were modern and clean and restaurant couldn’t have been more child friendly to my 3 and 5 year old granddaughters.

Breakfast was excellent and staff is ever friendly.

Great hotel very central staff friendly and efficient always ensuring that you have all you need .food is excellent .breakfast is tremendous take as long as you want very relaxing can't wait to go back

All the staff were friendly and polite, the choices for the buffet breakfast were extensive, I enjoyed some of my late afternoons in the bar, the bed was comfortable and the delicious piece of cake waiting in my room upon arrival was a nice touch.

Every breakfast she was so wonderfully friendly and personal.

We were greeted with friendly smiles and helpfulness by everyone we encountered at the hotel, from those checking us in, those taking our bags, those who served us high tea, and everyone else in between.

The staff were friendly, efficient and attentive.

Super friendly and attentive service, it was a real treat!

Front of house staff were very friendly, we had some lovely chats!

The staff were all so friendly and attentive.

The rooms and common areas are very clean and the staff so friendly.

Michelle at the front desk & Cyan in the restaurant have been so friendly & helpful.

Breakfast was included and had everything anyone could want, including friendly and attentive service.

Staff were welcoming and friendly throughout our time there and the service was relaxed and not rushed at all.

It is walking distance from the National Gallery, Trafalgar, Picadily, Covent Garden, Soho.

It’s a stone’s throw from the national gallery and great walks along the Thames.

the hotel's loacation is amazing, on top of charing cross station, across the street from the national gallery, trafalgar square, and a quick stroll to the west end, soho and covent garden area.

The National Gallery, Trafalgar Square and other sites are an easy amble.

The view of the National gallery and the famous monument were in sight from the opulent dining room. Bravo.

Thames, Southbank, Trafalgar Square, about 7 nearby tube stations, Leicester Sq, Covent Garden, theatres, 7Dials National Gallery ,Piccadilly Circus and more!

The hotel is situated right in the mix of London, with the National Gallery visible from the restaurant as it’s just across the road!

Ideal for theatreland, National Gallery, Trafalgar Sq, the Thames, Westminster, Buckingham Palace and More.. 
Staff are super friendly and really make your stay memorable.

We first spent a couple of hours in the National Gallery nearby then later, after the free glass of wine they gave us in the bar, walked North

The location was excellent - a stones throw from Trafalger square & national gallery, short walk to London Eye and nice walk from there to the houses of Parliament and big Ben.

The National Gallery is just around the corner.

One minute to Trafalgar square , National Gallery, theaters,museums , shopping, huge selection of restaurants - everything  is walking distance.

The hotel is walking distance to many major sights such as Trafalgar Square, National Gallery, Covent Garden, London Eye, Big Ben, and China Town.

The hotel is ideally situation right next to Trafalgar Square, the National Gallery and other attractions.

We could walk to Trafalgar sq, national gallery, regents st, oxford st, somerset house and covent garden.

This hotel couldn’t be better placed for the national gallery Trafalgar Square or the ENO Adelphi or Garrick theatres.

In the area there are loads of restaurants and museums (national Gallery, Churchill War Rooms Museum etc).

Unfortunately we left an iPhone in the room on departure

Had to call every day for the minibar to be restocked.

The phone number goes to reservations, which is a central number for several hotels, so if reservations is closed - you are out of luck.

I booked for my sister’s wedding anniversary using groupon voucher, as soon as the booking went through, I received a call from Mrs Jackson who works for the hotel restaurant, she assisted me with the booking and made sure that our table for 18 people was reserved and followed up to check if I received all the details on my email.

Had to charge the phone across the room, 4) beds were up by housekeeping without sheets 5) headboard and closet were gouged by some person or animal,  I could forgive one or two of these indiscretions,

I rang them,one payment was our room, one was a pre authorisation

After ringing reception nothing was done about it.

I also don’t expect to have to ring the lobby to ask them to stock the complimentary minibar (which was empty upon arrival other than one bottle of gluten free lager and no bottle opener).

A few onions rings finished off the dish.

This went on for several weeks speaking to Ruben, Anca, Barbara , all apologising and promising non existed call backs, even an email to Neil Gallagher of GLH Hotels was ignored .

On Monday morning it took 4 calls from us to room service and reception to have someone phone us back 30 mins later.

We only realised this when we got on the train and went to change a phone.

although on calling housekeeping to ask they said we didn't qualify for snacks?

but we ending up having to personally ring the credit card company ourselves to try and sort this out.

The furnishings aren't what I would call luxury,

They rang me to tell me when the room was ready and looked after our bags.

When making a reservation, make sure to call the hotel directly.

The lounge is lovely for breakfast or afternoon wine/tea.

Food was terrific in the hotel from the lounge to the restaurant to the bar.

She told me she discovered the mouse as well and they contacted Rentokil and do a deep clean of the lounge.

We had access to the lounge/club area, which was very nice.

We booked the executive twin which included the lounge which was ideal for drinks and nibbles on our way out in the evening.

The room was great, the lounge was good and breakfast was a treat!

Nice touch that the minibar was free😊 and you could get free drinks and snacks in the lounge during the day.

We did get breakfast with our room so we were able to use the lounge which was quite nice.

Breakfast either in the lounge or the dining room was also quite nice with a mix of hot/cold dishes to choose from along with fresh fruit, coffee and tea.

The lounge was beautiful and the service was impeccable.

Diana in the lounge was wonderful and very helpful, always with a smile on her face.

We also had access to the lounge for breakfast

There was a free mini-bar and we had access to the lounge which, from 12.00 to 19.00 offered free drinks and nibbles in a lovely setting.

The lounge was staffed by wonderful employees who not only welcomed us for breakfast and afternoon drinks,

Diane, who was in charge of the lounge went out of her way to get us what we needed, something we didn't expect based on our experience with other hotels in London.

Diana or Roxana made our frequent visits to the lounge so enjoyable.

Very hospitable people, especially Diana in the Lounge.

Front desk and concierge service was excellent helping with storing luggage, loaning umbrellas and even giving us access to the lounge while waiting to go to the train station.

The room is well appointed and breakfast in the lounge is included and well done.

We were exposed in our daily schedule to the breakfast team, the lounge team and to the CONCIERGE team.

We appreciated the personal touches like the welcome card and the daily restocking of free drinks in the mini fridge.

Check in was easy, we were given a couple of free drinks tokens, great touch.

Room clean and the free minibar is a nice touch.

The selection of complimentary drinks in the mini bar was a very nice touch.

Extra little touches including snacks, coffee machine and mini bar.

It was our anniversary and they made our stay very welcoming we had a beautiful greeting in our room with a celebration cake which was a very warm welcome personal touch

Made it a special time as it was my husband’s birthday which was that extra touch.

Everything about this hotel is great - location, food, cleanliness and the complimentary mini-bar was an added unexpected touch.

Tokens given for a free drink each is a nice touch.

Our room 508   was large; full of natural light with a  very modern feel there was also a cake and card wishing us the best for our anniversary .These little personal touches   show how much the hotel appreciates their guests.

Staff were very friendly, service superb, free drinks token also given for the first drink in the bar on the hotel, a really nice touch, thoughtful and the hotel really is well presented .

Little touches that make a huge difference.

Memorable Moment was they remembered it was my husbands birthday and the cake and wine was a lovely touch so a massive thanks.

There is a mini bar in the room all of which is complementary, which was a lovely touch.

We got to the room and they had put a beautiful piece of cake and a birthday message the little touches mean the most beautiful room stunning hotel would definitely recommend to others

The staff was very accommodating and friendly and the restaurant was very good for late night drinks and socializing!

A great hotel in a great location with all the facilities you would need and very helpful and friendly staff.

We had to ask for extra pillows and towels which was no problem as the staff are really friendly and helpful.

Awesome location, friendly staff, INCREDIBLE bed and shower, super close to the main attractions and to the underground.

Have stayed at Premier Inn Westminster Abbey twice now and love the location, the hotel, the rooms are compact, clean & modern, just what you need for a stop over place.

The hotel is very modern with a quick and efficient check in and check out service.

However, the modern lighting system has a mind of it's own.

Lovely modern hotel, friendly and accommodating staff, fabulous location, great food and THE comfiest bed!

Clean room, modern gadgets, spacious room and bathroom, nice water pressure in the shower with modern shower, CLEAN BATHROOM CURTAIN!!

This is a fantastic location within easy walking distance to subway and bus stations, Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace, the National Gallery, the theater district, and more.

Just a 2min walk from the St James's Park tube station, it's very easy to visit the main attractions of the Centre of London on foot (a couple of minutes away from Buckingham, Trafalgar Square, National Gallery, Churchil's War Room, Big Ben, London Eye, etc).

The hotel is ideally situated with regards to the London Tube system and many of the great places to visit; Buckingham Palace, St James Park, Trafalgar Square and the National Gallery and many more.

Best price in London and location cannot be beaten — Buck Palace 7 minute walk, National Gallery 15 minutes (we were first there every day), Houses of Parliament 5minutes, London Eye 20 minutes.

As expected the rooms were tiny and a clear indication they are trying to squeeze as many guests in as possible.

Possible CON: The room had a small window (which you can't open) with only a view of opposite office building.

The air conditioning didn't work in any of the rooms (moved 3 times) so unfortunately this affected the quality of sleep as the rooms are small and stuffy and no opening windows for ventilation.

We stay in the larger rooms in the hub, not the very small rooms.

While the rooms are small, it’s close to all the tourist attractions, theater district and the Underground subway which we used to get to the hotel when we landed at Heathrow.

I was concerned, looking at the website photos, that the room would be too small

but a good selection of hot drinks is available 24/7 in the lounge area.

Modern clean and bright..plenty of tea and coffee in the lounge and great helpful staff.

Location is excellent and great value for money, free Costa coffee and tea in the lounge.

But it’s freely available if you want to trek down to the lounge and back .

but it was great, and the Lounge was comfy for just sitting and having a late afternoon tea after work.

I was very impressed by the helpful staff on reception and in the lounge at breakfast time.

but this was not a problem as they did this in the lounge room free of charge.

The breakfast buffet at The Lounge with eggs, sausages, beverages and continental fare was a brilliant way to start the day.

They quickly checked us into our rooms and offered free coffee and tea at the lounge across from the lobby.

however, they are available all day, free to guests, in the lounge.

The lounge is certainly not spacious enough to get between tables and chairs with a wheel chair and getting to the food /drink area or the bar would pose an issue BUT the staff could move furniture around for you and I’m sure they could get food for you also as the staff are lovely, friendly and very helpful at the hub.

Tea and coffee available 24 hours in the lounge.

but everything you need.Clean and tidy.All the staff have a smile.Breakfast great value.The lounge area is a great place to chill out.

but there are facilities in the lounge which are complimentary.

I picked it for those reasons and found myself happily surprised by the lounge it offers.

Cocktails are 2 for 1 at the Lounge downstairs (£6.50) and are great value!

Nice to have the free teas and coffee available in the lounge.

But the weekends were nice, much quieter, we were able to actually use the lounge all weekend.

It was Such a good place to stay i will defiantly come back, the staff, the room, the lounge everything about this hotel is amazing!

My one major complaint is that many of the rooms don't have real windows.

As a couple and staying for two nights we had opted for one of the bigger rooms to give us a little extra space to move around and also to have some natural light through a window.

I got my coffee and grabbed a basic bench seat looking out of the window - not even a proper table as I was conscious not to take too much room .

The air con was a life saver due to not having opening windows in the room.

My only grumble would be the window was very small for natural light in the daytime

Make sure you ask for a room WITH window cause not all the rooms have one.

Luckily we had a window in the room (didn't pay extra)

I was a bit disorientated by the lack of window,

Only downside was felt bit exposed in bathroom as there was a window from the bedroom into bathroom, presumably to let light in

Only thing I would change is the room ventilation and to at least have the ability to open a window and to have the ability to change the mode of the air-conditioner, not have it set just to cold.
