This basement room was small with a tiny bathroom.

For bigger people it will be difficult to go to the toilet or douche cabin.

We took a room with a bathroom in it, small

Beware that many rooms do not have a bathroom, and those that do, the bathroom is the size of a small closet.

Small bar of soap and wall-mounted shower gel provided plus a decent hand-towel and bath mat.

I have to say I have never in my 62 years been in a smaller bathroom.

Bed was comfy, only gripe was the shower was bit of a squeeze.

I tripped and stubbed my toes the first few times and I was afraid I'd trip and fall exiting the bathroom if I forgot to step down.

but well equipped  , with a toilet and shower in two further small rooms .

On arrival we found out we had a shared bathroom, this was NOT stated on the booking whatsoever!!

Only downside was the size of the bathroom- it was quite crammed.

It did mean I had to leave the shower room door open to manoeuvre to dry myself.

but the downside was the crazy interior plan - the shower was in one tiny room, the bathroom in another, the mirror someplace else and the sink for brushing your teeth and washing your hands was inside the bedroom.

but did have a small basin in the corner.

Water pressure in bathroom was too low for a decent shower.

Bathroom outside the room so you may need to wait for shower.

I would definitely recommend if you're comfortable with a Queen bed with four feet on all sides.

There were two single beds that were very comfortable.

Stayed for one night as I was attending a seminar at King's Place close to King's Cross.

The Alhambra is a cute hotel located just a half block from Kings Cross train station.

but this is due to the location near to 
King's Cross St. Pancras station.

I prefer to stay around the Kings Cross stroke Bloomsbury area which I have on many occasions as I find it a great base for striking out on the tourist trail, with Kings Cross being handy for the buses and tube.

On the plus side the bed had lots of places where you could tie restraints to it - this made for a fun evening for us.

Being a tall lad the single bed was perfect even with my Giraffe proportioned legs.

The hotel is very clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the WiFi very fast.

This is a small hotel located a short walk to the St Pancras train station and King's Cross underground.

Hard to beat location only 2 min walk to St Pancreas International Station and 5 min walk to Kings Cross Station.

It is conveniently located on a quiet alley that is a mere four minute walk to the King's Cross subway station.

This hotel is a stone’s throw from Kings Cross station, down a quiet side street.

Perfectly located for Kings Cross station, directly opposite a tube stop of you want to use it as a hotel to see a few sights along the underground.

Everything was immaculately clean , the bed was very comfortable, and the bed linen was of very high quality .

This B&B is visibly smarter and classier than the many others on the same street, and literally two mins walk from Kings Cross St Pancras - on the road bang opposite.

Not a problem, there is a well known pub chain in St Pancras station which opens at 9am for all day breakfast.

Prices are reasonable (considering breakfast is included).

Take the 8.54am to Calais and you’ll have time to enjoy the awesome breakfast buffet at this great accommodation.

We had a fine stay here — the place is tidy, the service attentive, the location exquisite, the breakfast fine if not outstanding.

Breakfast from 7 to 9 was far too restrictive for a family holiday - missed it each morning of a three-night pre-booked stay.

This hotel is clean convenient and the breakfast is good with great price to stay.i strongly recommend people to stay here .The reception is very friendly and later I learn is a family own business.

The included breakfast was very good , and gluten intolerant guests are catered for .

An email awaited me later asking for description and photos of the charger, followed before I had a chance to answer with another to say it had been found and please to let them have a card number to cover the return postage (which I called in the following morning).

He needed to charge his phone and without that adapter he would have been greatly inconvenienced.

You can use your pre-loaded Oyster Card, the same as you would for the Tube, and it’s only £ 8.10 (single fare) to Gatwick.

but had to be put through as 3 separate transactions which was quite annoying.

The well known international booking agency I used (and use about twice each week without this problem - ever) will only provide a confirmation of the total paid and not show a VAT compliant invoice.

When you book they take 1 pound without notice and 1 week before the date they took all the amount saying they have preauthorization on your card and waiting for the bank approval, it wasn't nice since we can cancel 4 days without notice or penalty.

Book this room and put the extra money on your oyster card.

Please note that the hotel applies a 3% surcharge if you pay by credit card.

They charge an extra 3% if you use a credit card.

though charged 3% extra to pay by credit (rather than debit) card.

They receptionist charged my a much higher amount than it said on booking, caused by currency exchange.

Charged twice for my stay due to error - hopefully get this sorted asap.

Two problems - after arriving we were told that the agreed fare was for cash and if paid by credit it was more expensive.

We were given a laminated card with our room number on and told to put our luggage in the breakfast room in a bit at the bottom of the stairs with the card on top.

even though the check in time was in the afternoon without additional charges.

but elected to pay cash to avoid the 3% surcharge.

The hotel wanted to be paid in cash or there would be a surcharge for a credit card, this we had not come across since south america.

19th cent gentrified houses turned into hotels down the street with quaint narrow corridors.

Further, I could not reach the wardrobe hangers, they have been placed too high. Access to the rooms is extremely difficult - steep narrow stairs and impossibly narrow corridors and (fire?)

We were on the top floor, which was hard to access along tiny corridors and the room had a 3/4 bed, and there was hardly enough room to move in the room.

Be prepared--the hotel common areas, hallways, and rooms are very, very small.

The rooms are very, very small and it is difficult to manoeuvre luggage in narrow corridors and staircases.

The corridors are a little tight for space if you are carrying luggage and note that there is no elevator,

An unusual room with a door into a small hallway, a separate toilet, a separate shower and another door through to three single beds where the basin is also situated.

The hotel corridors are narrow and a lot of steps so not very good if your mobility is limited.

True, the corridors are narrow, the rooms are small and there is no lift.

The rooms are very small and, as other guest have pointed out, stairs and corridors are narrow.

Unfortunately not a good place for family with small children,  narrow corridors  and stair cases.

Somewhat typical for London in this price range: .three floors up, no lift..shared bathroom down the hall, tiny bed for two.

The toilet was down the hall and the door right in front of your face when you closed it.

The corridors are a little tight for space and there is no elevator, so if mobility is an issue then please bear this in mind,

Corridors and the staircase is very narrow.

You can hear your neighbors talking in their rooms, doors opening and closing, being locked and unopened and people walking in the halls.

We stayed at this hotel just for one night having popped down to London to visit the National gallery and Tower Bridge.

Don't miss the British museum (free) and if you hop off at Trafalgar square you can go in the national gallery for free also (some Picasso, Van Gogh, Degas, Cezanne).

The Alhambra earns our five-star rating by ticking all the boxes: perfect location near St. Pancras/King's Cross rail stations; comfortable, clean, and well-maintained; friendly and helpful staff; convenient amenities including taxis arranged to and from the airports and discount tour tickets; and reasonable rates.

Can’t say enough about the staff, especially since I messed up big time.

But it was clean, there was a small desk and an OK sized bathroom, so basically you don't need more.

It is well decorated, spotlessly clean and all staff were friendly and helpful.

The staff were all really friendly and chatty, asking my kids if they enjoyed Paris etc.

Friendly staff, easy and fast check-in/out.

The room we booked was quite small and the bathroom was really *unacceptably* small; you could barely turn around, and the front of the toilet was only about 18 inches from the bathtub.

I had called ahead to request a room with a bath tub and a fridge.

My main complaint would be the height of the bathtub.

The bathtub/shower was also so high off of the floor that, being a short person, I practically had to climb in and out of it every use.

My only so/so about the whole experience was that they have the half glass doors on the bathtub, so water would soak the floor.

The tub was only half enclosed, so water was everywhere after taking a shower.

The decor is fussy, so not to our taste, and I would have preferred a shower over a tub.

My only issue was the shower which sprayed water outside its borders and presented a difficult entry and exit from within a high tub without appropriate handles to make your life easier.

The shower head is firmly installed inside the bathtub and in the ceiling.

Thus when stepping out of the tub you experience a step down.

Everything perfect with the room and bathroom, we slept well and enjoyed the breakfast.

We had dinner in the hotel restaurant that was very delicious and the continental breakfast we had in the morning was quite lovely.

I ordered room service for a late-night dinner and breakfast and the food was prompt and delicious.

although I would again like to point out the great service provided by Lucia in the restaurant, during the breakfast service.

The location on the gardens is so close to the Underground, British Museum, and healthy walks to Piccadilly Circus and Covent Garden for theatre shows.

The breakfast buffet was delicious and well stationed and their library and garden room such a delight to relax in.

Breakfast, high tea and dinner were excellent.

From Afternoon Tea, to the Leopard Bar, to dinner, and to the lovely breakfast every morning, the level of service and the food was outstanding.

The staff at breakfast were a delight – friendly, chatty and service-orientated.

Beyond the breakfast, the hotel team were always at hand to help around and answer any questions we might have.

We ordered a few cocktails and a plate of fish and chips to share - all were delicious.

Dined there once for breakfast & once for dinner.

The customer service was first class, our room and bed amazingly comfortable and a delicious first class breakfast.

Next morning down for breakfast, incredible choice and again good friendly service.

But as it was, we felt we had to keep the curtains closed the entire time, which made the room dark.

It is damp, hot, dark, not what it shows at all.

The room was dark, probably due to the decor and the room wasn't as clean.

I did check and whereas we could see outside they could not see in until dark when we shut the shades so we were pleased with the view.

Our room was as far from the front desk as you could get, the toilet had issues the shower water wouldn’t stay in the shower and the room was dark and small.

The room was also dark with dark furniture which did not help.

In all, the small study was extremely gloomy given the paucity of light and the overly dark furnishings.

It is across from The British Museum, subway stations are within 3-4 blocks and if one is a walker, it is possible to walk to Trafalgar Square (National Gallery, National Portrait Gallery in this location) in about 40 minutes.

British museum is around the corner and it is  a walking distance to the National Gallery and many theaters.The hotel is on the quite street, no noise at nights.

You can also easily walk everywhere, like Oxford and Regent St for shopping, the West End for theatres, The National Gallery, Trafalgar square, Chinatown, Soho for dinning and more shopping.

The restaurant and bar staff were equally wonderful’ so friendly and welcoming!

Reception team fantastic,  room delightful,  complementary bottle of champagne courtesy of the manager Dirk, room service after the concert was amazing too.

The dinner menu was original and the food excellent.

The Montague on the Gardens is excellent in ticking all the boxes:  location, cleanliness, attention-to-detail, eating and drinking amenities, and last,

Bloomsbury is really a gem of an area - short walk to so many attractions and restaurants.

The salmon skewers were beautifully cooked and all the other canapes were filling and really tasty.

The restaurant and the afternoon tea in the garden are very nicely presented.

It is the perfect place to stay in London: 
on a quiet street, adjacent to the British Museum;
just the right size to be personal;
walking distance to three Tube stations;
good food and the Leopard Bar a great place for a drink; a simple room service sandwich arrives as a special meal, beautifully laid out on a tray;

Visited the Montague on the garden hotel for an afternoon tea yesterday with my wife.We had an excellent time .The service bad staff was absolutely wonderful and mead the day so amazing.The mango fusion tea is dream to savour.As we arrived ,we were greeted with a wonderful smile and you couldn’t ask anymore from the staff.Everything is as expected and we are definitely be going back .Next time it would be for an evening meal .Well done to all the staff that works at the hotel and for making the day unforgettable.

The concierge was very helpful in directing us to several wonderful "non-touristy" pubs for dinner and we could not have been happier with his suggestions.

We enjoyed very much talking with Lucia in the Restaurant and Georgia at the Front Desk, ably assisted by Neil, Jorge and Animbola.

We had breakfast every morning in the main room , they had a very nice variety of food.

Fabulous location, an amazing array of food  and  wonderful staff where nothing was too much trouble.

We had breakfast at the hotel and was again excellent value for money at £7.99 each.

We didn't book breakfast here because of it and we went and sought food outside the hotel, less than a 10 minute walk away again spending much more, because of the ridiculous staff behind the bar.

Breakfast was for the money excellent value with continental and hot options.

Paid £7 each for breakfast wowsers was lovely couldnt fault it!

Location was great hotel staff friendly we had breakfast a couple of times and couldn’t fault it.

The breakfast is more than adequate for £7 and free tea, coffee and water 24/7.

The room was Very clean, staff super efficient and breakfast was great too.

The daily breakfast was a good value and made it easy for us to get the day started.

We asked for a second pillow which Is advertised in all the lifts that we can have and being told of course and it never appearing. Twice.

First room was very noisy, as backing onto the lift shaft.

Who wants to get dressed, go down 6 floors in the lift to go and get a cup of tea first thing in the morning???

The only issue is carrying hot drinks up in the lift or up the stairs, so facilities in the room would be better!

There was a bad odor from the carpets in the corridor, the stair carpets were filthy due to the fact that if you wanted a hot drink in your room you had to carry hot drinks through multiple doors, lifts and stairs with a key card as well .
