The room was clean, light and just as described in our booking.

Rooms are very clean and a good size with separate toilet and bathroom has both bath and walk in shower.

We stayed two nights at this hotel and enjoyed the location and the cleanliness of the room.

The rooms are clean and comfortable with a refrigerator, a microwave and a coffee making machine.

The Novotel Suites Gare Lille Europe is fine, our room was clean and moderately furnished, breakfast was all right, just not anything special.

The spotlessly clean room, though, was quite remarkable.

The new station and attached shopping centre in Lille is not wearing well.

A c10min walk into the centre of town and about 5mins walk to the Euralille shopping centre (with a huge Carrefour, and a couple of restaurants both open until 10pm).

although there was no noise - and 5 mins feom a shopping centre which offers various eating options.

The location cannot be beat, and the nearby shopping centre offers many fast food takeway and self-catering options.

Walk over the bridge and in a few minutes on your left there is a big shopping centre.

For those that like shopping it is very close to the newly opened Euralille shopping centre.

Very fast wifi, microwave oven and refrigerator, spacious room, next to the Eurostar station, and on the other side of the station a large shopping center including fast-food restaurants and a huge supermarket with good beer and food selection.

The toilet no bleach down and had to use my hand wipes to clean toilet.

The floor was dirty and the bathroom had an unpleasant smell.

The bath was burn by a cigar or looks like.

The toilet was in a separate cubicle, which was smelly.

Weird smell in the corridor, couldn’t quite place what the smell was though.

Bear with me here: the breakfast is dull, the views are of a dual carriageway, there are cigarette burns on the bath and weird stains on the curtains, one tea bag between four people,

but mostly because of the smell. Disgusting!

although the bathrooms are a bit prefabricated and bath had a cigarette burn on it.

not a quiet room.breakfast on both days when we went down was a shambles,accepting there were a large number of Canadian tourists who were over for war commerations the breakfast area resembled a battlefield,we had to ask for orange juice,bowls,cutlery,bread,meat everything needed replenishing and nobody seemed to be monitoring when things were running low,tables dirty and not cleared quick enough,cereal and other debris on the floor,overall a shabby experience.I have stayed in other novotels and the experience has been nowhere near as poor as this!!!! !

The toilet is seperate, which we were relieved as there was a strong smell of urine.

but the truly disgusting smell was too much to bare.

although there was a smell of stale cigarettes in my room and cigarette burns on the toilet sink (room 1001)

never tried the breakfast as there is a massive supermarket in the shopping centre nearby.

On the other hand the rooms have no separation, the furniture is very cheap, the rooms smell bad and the hallway like vomit.

Being American, I forgot to confirm we wanted a no smoking room

It must have been broken for some time as that would explain the stench!

The first room we got was not  what we booked and smelled heavily of smoke

This is an extremely well placed hotel, right next to Lille Europe station, and about 10-15 minutes walk to the Grand Place.

The suite was a good size for 2 adults and 2 teenage children and it was ideally placed beside Lille Europe and a 5 minute walk to Lille Flanders rail stations.

Facilities: Breakfast was simple and there were little touches like make your own egg station which does add value.

Location and Access – The hotel is only a few steps away from the main SNCF/Eurostar Lille Europe station with fast connections to London and the whole of France and elsewhere in Europe.

It's literally across the street from Lille Europe station.

Very easy access to both train stations and Westfield Euralille is a matter of minutes walk away.

Situated across the road from Lille Europe station, this hotel is well situated both for train travel and the Lille Metro.

The location is ok, right next to the station and the freeway.

We stayed here for one night and came by train, the hotel is right next to one of the big train stations.

Soundproofing of the windows is not great, take earplugs if you're a light sleeper, thankfully the station across the road is closed at night and therefore quiet.

The hotel is one zebra crossing from the Lille Europe station and it has a baggage room.

The hotel is literally 40 steps from the Eurostar station so perfect if that's how you're travelling.

The hotel is just next to the Lille Europe (not Lille Flandres) train station, so it is much easier for us who arrived late at night in Lille.

With two sets of double glazed windows, my room was silent, despite a highway right outside, and a busy train station on the other side.

Adjacent to the Lille Europe high-speed train station (and additional 3-minute walk to the regular main train station), this is a great hotel if you are on business and really need to get work done.

This hotel is very close to the Lille Europe train station,

It is located just across the street from the train station Lille Europe with the adjoining car park and rental car facilities.

It was placed right beside the main railway station and opposite a bus stop.

Parking is in the train station garage under the hotel.

The location is excellent; you can't get much closer to the train station, and with a 5-month old this was music to our ears!

As we came by TGV train from Paris, it was super easy for us to get to that hotel straight from the Lille Europe train station (you literally climb up the stairs to get there).

The location is incredible, it is right next to the main train station.

Although it's an aparthotel there wasn't any crockery or cutlery at all in the room.

but did not have any cutlery, cups or plates (just a paper cup).

however there is no cutlery or plates or china cups.

There are no plates, cutlery nothing at all.

the most "impressing" is plactic plates insread of real that they reuse for many times (but its throw away plates!

The roles were wet from being placed when warm on a plastic tray, there are plastic glasses for juice etc no real glasses, plastic plates, no bread, staff did not manage to keep up with knives and forks.

Provisions are available at nearby Carrefour, or the hotel usually has a very small number of chilled dishes available in the chiller cabinet in the reception area.

I was helped by Fabian (sorry if the spelling is wrong) at the reception, without whom we would lose countless chances to try the local dishes (French or foreign) and to explore the small city.

Stay just one night on a coach trip of 23 .For dinner there watery gravy .under cooked chicken , followed by cold thin custard over a small knob of chocolate cake ( I think that's what it was ) As i do not eat meat I ask for a plate of veg and was give an egg /instant mash potato /half burnt tomato.Water was left in a bottle on table and bread rolls needed a saw to cut them !Most of the food was left on the plates.Oddly breakfast was good with plenty of choice.The rooms had a kettle so could make tea/coffee.Plus the bedroom was roomy

However there is no cutlery or plates which didn't matter for a one night stay,

On the downside, the hotel only provides paper cups which fall apart after a couple of uses, and alternated between a skinny plastic stick and a wooden paddle for use as a spoon.

No bread, no milk, no coffee, no cutlery, no plates.

As others have mentioned, a tiny microwave does not equal a kitchen, especially when plates, cups and cutlery are not supplied.

but you can heat up simple meals (sold in lobby, where you can also purchase a plastic cutlery set).

The hotel does not have air conditioning, the small tilting windows barely open, so the room temperature is so hot that sleeping is difficult.

but had the window open and a fan was provided.

There is no air conditioning which is disappointing for what we paid for a superior room.

however no air conditioning and it was stifling!

Its cheep and it shows, the room was hot and uncomfortable no air con!

Why not give the rooms overlooking the road A/C.

A bit tired and extremely stuffy as there is no air con in this hotel.

no Aircondition, so the temp was about 30 Degrees in the room.

Wished I’d read the reviews a bit more - no AC.

I could not work and I could not talk to my family with Skype. Useless.

On this visit the temperature outside was 34 degrees and the bedroom felt even hotter as there is no A/con in the hotel and when I enquired if fans where available for the bedrooms I was told NO.

No A/c made it a very stifling room and meant little or no sleep.

The room (407) was easily the stuffiest sweat box I’ve experienced, with no aircon or ventilation (the window didn’t open at all), and made worse by the small minibar, which just kicked out even more heat.

but what really affected me was the lack of air conditioning.

but very warm and there is no air conditioning.

Came by Eurostar which was also very convenient.

Parking underneath the hotel is very convenient and safe.

The location is also very convenient, as it is central and within a small distance walk you will find yourself in the heart of the city!

This was booked via booking.com as convenient.

but as a convenient and inoffensive overnighter it was just the ticket.

Stay here several times, clean, modern and convenient for railway stations and city centre.

On the plus side, it’s convenient for the main stations, and the room was clean.

Hotel is convenient for train stations and shopping centre, plus a short walk to the main square for bars and restaurants.

but also to reach concert hall  bith in its vicinity.

A convenient location between the two train stations in the center of Lille.

Very convenient location, just next to city center and right next to a shopping mall.

We had interconnecting rooms which was ideal.

Behind is the shopping mall, ideal for stocking up on wine, cheese and fish to bring home.

Located conveniently between the two train stations, you can access it easily from whichever station. The hotel is right next to a large shopping mall in a large modern building, so you have everything you need really close (supermarket, stores, fast food chains, restaurants etc.)

The city center is 10-12 walk from the hotel so was very convenient to return after late dinner.

It is close to the station so it was ideal for us to leave early next morning.

There was some noise outside our room from another guest which kept my boyfriend awake (not me!

The only other thing I would mention (typical of any city centre hotel) was the noise.

I had to shut the window as I couldn't sleep from all the street noise.

but with the window open, you hear EVERYTHING.

The Bathroom was dirty, the noise from the street was all night and the reception team were unhelpful.

It involved assembling something metal so clashes & bangs went on for hours and then a generator started around 5am.

The noise of buses, traffic people wheeling their suitcases and shouting went on to well after 1am.

The rooms do not have air conditioning and the only way to sleep is with the window open, letting all the noise in.

The room was a bit warm, so I slept with the window open and was woken by the sound of the bin lorry.

Also as on main road, the hotel was quite noisy at night.

It starts at the front desk with reception staff who could;t be bothered , slow elevators, pathetic internet service, dirty rooms, hard beds and pillows, noisy backdrop, and everyday noise from other roooms.

A busy thoroughfare outside and, with the window open slightly to give some air, we could hear late night revellers and early morning street-cleaning machines.

We had two single beds which were uncomfortable and also no air conditioning so the room was stuffy particularly at night as if you had the window open, the main road traffic was too loud.

So as the weather was a scorcher we couldn't have the window open as it was too noisy outside.

We were told that no rooms were available (something contradicted by their website, which was still showing available rooms) and that a staff member was going to go and tell them to be quiet.

First time I have seen earplugs supplied as a toiletry.

If parking your car, contact the hotel to get directions before you arrive, took us 1hr 30 to find it due to busy traffic.

My room overlooked the main road and it was noisy,

I didn't get any outside noise coming in.

Excellent check in we found the room spotlessly clean and well maintained.

My room was very clean and I was pleased that it had a bathtub as well as a shower - perfect for a relaxing soak after a difficult journey to get there!

This offers all you need for a need to stay over between two trains.

Located just around the corner from the Eurostar train terminal, the Hotel Lille Europe is a clean, simple hotel ideal for overnight business stays.

That said, for one night  was fine and the staff were helpful/stored bags for us so we could explore Lille on foot before catching our train.

It is very  central to both Railway Stations and restaurants, rooms are comfortable and clean, and staff are very friendly and informative.

Right next to the station it would be perfect for those travelling by train.

This hotel is located between the Gare Lille Flanders and Gare Europe train stations.

If you went to Lille by train, the Hotel is a 2 minute walk, perfect!

Good location for people coming buy train, a small nightmare if you want to get there by car as the underground parking space is only accessible after you have come to the hotel first.

The hotel is very well located between both Lille Europe and Lille Flandres railway stations about a 5 minute walk from Lille Europe and about 3 minutes from Lille Flandres.

We had a train trip from London, and hotel's location was perfect as it was less than minutes away from train station.

This hotel is in a great location near the Eurostar station, the local train station, Westfield shopping centre (yes like the one in London) with Carrefour supermarket and many shops and restaurants and a few minutes walk to centre of Lille.

Location is fantastic for getting into the city and to the railway station.

I like the  hotel's location which is just a walking distance from the train station and Eurostar, restaurants and cafes and right behind a large shopping mall, Euralille.

It is less than a 5 minute walk to the other train station which took us to the match in Valenciennes.
