Other than the service at breakfast we had a wonderful stay.

Excellent breakfast with a good variety to choose from for all tastes and set in a nice restaurant within the hotel.

Very clean and fantastic staff especially "Ronnie " who was a member of the breakfast staff and a young man who just started in the Pullam last week where nothing was too much trouble.

but breakfast was excellent with attentive staff.

Food was good with both english and continental taste.

Having said that  the breakfast was very good and if you book it the night before, you get it for £12  considering the quality of food  we considered this a good deal.

Great location, facilities, friendly and helpful staff especially Georgia in the restaurant who was really helpful in setting our 1 year old up for breakfast.

Hannah on reception made us feel really welcome, The Pullman is the only hotel we stay at when we come to Liverpool as the hospitality is second to none, the rates are great and breakfast is extensive.

The service was exceptional and breakfast had every you could want.

but adequate, the bed was comfy and the shower great  the river view was not too great  although we did have a view of the Liverpool Wheel and we could see The Royal Albert Dock.

Nice hotel around Albert Dock. Good sized rooms with no noise, a very comfy bed, mini bar with complimentary water (but no biscuits!)

Gorgeous decor, comfy bed, beautiful bathroom, fab shower with great water pressure, lovely bedroom - loved the roomy seating in front of the window, delicious breakfast, friendly staff.

Rooms were spacious and clean and the beds were very comfortable.

The beds were comfortable and a large tv in the room to watch the ladies football was a bonus!

The Pullman Liverpool is a modern hotel with great facilities.

but once inside its a very modern enviroment.

Nonetheless, the hotel itself is modern, well decorated and offers a large ground floor lounge/bar area which is a pleasant spot in the evening.

The room itself has all modern conveniences including coffee machine, music, flat screen TV and (an essential) fridge!

As like other Pullman properties, it's a four star modern trendy design hotel.

however the cleanliness of the plates, cups, cutlery at breakfast was very poor.

but room scruffy with little things like a poor hospitality tray and 3* furnishings.

To begin with, check in took at least 20 minutes, very poor service.

although the bathroom lighting was very poor.

But the very poor level of cleaning is disappointing, especially for a supposedly luxury hotel brand.

Really poor mobile phone coverage and exceptionally poor wifi.

When the cleaning of the room also is poor its just not good enough.

Paid over £350 for a two night stay expecting high quality and standards within the room , not so .Very poor with stained walls and carpets.

The quality of the produce is poor (please change your sausage supplier).

There's no drawer space, lighting is poor and nowhere to put toiletries in bathroom.

however the so called continental breakfast was really poor and apart from a dry croissant had very little appeal.

My only issue, which was far outweighed by the many positives was poor tv reception and wifi.

I would recommend that they look at the lighting and mirrors in the rooms - I found it hard to put on makeup due to the poor light/mirrors combination.

The cleaning was poor, on one occasion we returned to the room and struggled to be certain if the room had even been made, it looked like someone had been sleeping in the bed, goldilocks perhaps?

The food was extremely poor and the service was terrible.

Very poor views from the Premium Deluxe Room that was offered.

The settee in the room was badly stained (disgusting in fact) and the some of the free movies have been showing for at least two years , the tv reception was very poor and intermittent (we did point this out on departure) we have another night away booked here in August this year and this could be our last if things do not improve, such a shame as we used to love this hotel.

Felt sorry for poor single handed chef running around trying to cope.

Had a meal in the bar one night ( as the restaurant was fully booked,  I would recommend to prebook a table if going to the arena) and had a meal in the restaurant the second night.

but also a lot of the roof of the M&S Arena.

Situated near the Albert dock and M&S Arena.

The hotel is in a great location just be the river and right next to the arena, ideal if you are there for an event and just across the Dock from the Albert Dock and all its attractions, including bars restaurants, the Tate and a couple of open top busses that do excellent city tours depart from there.

Bar: Used the bar facilities on the Saturday night post a visit to The Liverpool Empire to see Kevin Bridges (absolutely fab show).

What an amazing find, stayed recently for the Frankie Valli concert, surprise trip booked by my wife.

This hotel would be incredibly located if you were attending an event at the M&S Arena - it is literally on the doorstep!

I would highly recommend this hotel, and indeed, the chain if they perform to these standards.

We arrived as a big group with young girls at their first dance competition at the exhibition centre next door.

I'll definitely stay here again next time I go to Comic Con or for a concert at the arena as it's so well located and it's nice being overlooking the river (a sightseeing stroll along the Docks is recommended on a nice day),

I wanted a very special stay for my wife after surprising her with tickets at the Arena for her birthday, and picked the Pullman Hotel specifically as it is a 4 Star hotel, close to the Arena.

Good location for all the attractions especially the M&S bank arena, we came to see a concert.

What a well placed hotel, within walking distance of everywhere we wanted including the cathedrals (25mins), the two arenas are just yards away.

Stayed last night for the wrestling event on in arena.

My room overlooked the M&S Bank Arena and the River Mersey.

We booked the Pullman as we were going to an event in the arena which the hotel is ideally situated for.

We had the best time there for a special birthday.

We had stayed here for 2 nights for my boyfriends birthday and had the BEST stay!

Just recently stayed at the Shankly for my daughters 13th birthday, we booked the 'Garden of Eden' suite for one night.

Stayed here the weekend just gone for my daughters 18th birthday .

We had been told that because of the occasion (my wife's 40th birthday), we were to be upgraded to a Luxury Studio.

I booked this hotel for my mums 50th birthday as a surprise

myself and my Partner arrived for my birthday and was amazed how much of a buzz there was going around the venue, the staff at reception were awesome, quick, no fuss check in.

She went the extra mile by ensuring we had arrival drinks and a lovely dessert plate in our room for my hubby’s birthday.

On arrival to the hotel, we was greeted by a fabulous concierge (Eric I believe)  who made our stay extra special when we told him we were celebrating a birthday!

Me and my wife visited the hotel as part of her 30th birthday celebrations.

I booked a one night stay for my daughter and one friend for her 17th Birthday as part of her present.

Me and my husband stayed here overnight for my birthday and we had an amazing time.

I was absolutely made up with everything, especially as it was my birthday the next day.

On the Saturday we had a dinner reservation to celebrating my husband’s 30th Birthday and our wedding anniversary to which we were treated to two glasses of bubbles!

My partner and I stayed here for his 21st birthday in a luxury double room and it did not disappoint!

But from the start I wanted to book the Shankly for my boyfriends birthday and rang up.

Stayed here for my 22nd birthday this year and we throughly enjoyed our stay throughout.

I've made a payment on 26th July for 2 guests breakfast and i wanted to add another guest for breakfast.

Breakfast was not bad and the restaurant and bar staff were very nice.

For £200+ per night we could have booked something much nicer with onsite parking, breakfast, and staff who actually bother to get stuff done.

The team that worked the breakfast service were all really friendly and they genuinely showed an interest when chatting to the guests, they really made our Wedding Anniversary special.

but ours had poor aircon and the window was a sealed unit .good breakfast .friendly bar staff and we all had jacuzzi baths very relaxing ,reception staff gave good information and helpful

The staff member gave us a deal for evening meal, stay and breakfast.

Room was clean, comfortable and spacious, breakfast was lovely and worth the money.

The buffet was really good with a variety of choice for vegetarian and meat eaters, In particular, I must commend the two members of staff  who looked after our every need throughout the night.

The following morning we had booked a breakfast and it was delicious, again this was in the Bastion.

Buffet breakfast had plenty to offer for adults and kids.

After a long day of visiting Anfield & the murals around the city i had promised my boy (6) a yummy treat for being a good big brother.

Service at breakfast again was to a high standard and checkout made very easy.

18 of us stayed last night for the night we had an excellent time staff were accommodating and friendly breakfast was lovely will definitely visit again thank you for making my daughters 18th a special evening.

Breakfast in the morning was buffet style with lots of choice and an option of continental along with fruit juices and tea/coffee.

We ordered breakfast in the morning, super fast service with drinks and food was of really good quality and the choice was excellent, cereals, pancakes, waffles, fruit, muffins and full English, only irk was that the poached eggs were overdone.

Cannot fault the place,lovely helpful staff,amazing decor,room we had was lovely and breakfast was lovely and fresh.

We had a 2 course meal in the Bastian on the Fri night which was delicious!

although some bits of information like roof top bar was closed..just to save our legs 😂 room was brilliant, bed was comfortable ,bath is something else..  overally clean and tidy..

The bed was very comfortable and I had the best nights sleep I think ive had in a hotel bed.

Pool lovely and warm, beds so comfy, cocktail lads where so friendly and helped get the party going.

There were some positives,  the bed was comfortable and the sheets were clean.

However on the good points  the bed was comfy (only one pillow not an issue for me)  and the bath was nice and it did seem clean.

2 double beds comfy, dining room and kitchen with a stylish drink bar.

The bed was comfortable, tea and coffee making facilities in the room also iron and ironing board.

We stayed on the first floor and the room was beautiful, nice big comfortable beds, very clean and has all the amenities you need for an overnight stay.

When we checked in a pleasant young girl greeted us,

Visited Liverpool twice every year as daughter love the city.

I was looking forward to having a fantastic night away with my niece , only to find when we walked in the hotel , Christmas decorations still set in the floor.

4 of us Stayed the night with big and little girls!

Visited as a family (2 adults, 4 children) for a 1 night stay.

Lobby is wonderful, kids really enjoyed the stay and Loverpool FC theme 😍

To top it off the cocktail I ordered was great and my son took great pride in telling his younger brother where we went.. so we did it all again the next morning.

We stayed with children aged 4-12 and all thoroughly enjoyed it.

Stayed at this hotel for one night, which was a Sunday, for a girls night away.

We absolutely loved our girls trip to Liverpool and our highlight was most definitely the Shankly hotel and our Garden of Eden room.

The staff are friendly warm and welcoming and are great with children !!

Loved the jacuzzi bath, especially the kids.

Would return for a girls weekend away again!

I’m quite fussy with hotels and this was a birthday treat from my daughter.

We all stayed over at the shankley last night for our girls Hen and wow!!!!

Big Thankyou to Rosalie, the girls at the desk and the lovely man Eric who give us the best stay and experience whiles at the Shankly hotel.

Cannot get through to Hotel by phone, does not connect call!

We were advised that we would receive an itinerary ahead of our arrival and a menu to pre order from, neither of which were received despite numerous calls chasing this up.

Can’t empty the bath had to go down to reception to get someone up there's no phone in the room.

The TV is no longer able to stream from iPhones and can no longer screen mirror because they have taken all of the cables away.

The rooms are very dark, had to use the torch on our phones to even get ready!

but of course having no phone in the room this was a huge issue.

Unable to get through to anyone prior to our stay must have rang and emailed the hotel 50 times when I explained this to the staff on the front desk the reply I got was ‘well we’re short staffed it’s not our fault’ 
Definitely won’t stay here again, everyone else in our group all had problems with their bookings and the staff too so I know they’ve lost a lot of future business

I was told by reception ‘you’ve only got 1.5hr to kill before next train to wales (5:30am)!’ But i had no keys for my property and everyone I rang was asleep.

but decided her own cocktail and phone were more important and came back 10 minutes later .

Basically the shankly seriously let us down, booking a year in advance, calling me and email communications about 8 times in the year and they still couldn't get it right.

However since returning even after numerous emails, messages through facebook and telephone calls we have been completely ignored.

Theres no phones in the room for room service.

There were no toiletries or phone in the room so you could not contact anyone from reception either.

From the moment we checked in our whole room was shaking, after calling down to reception and asking why this was happening we were advised there was a rooftop party and we happened to be right underneath it.

but when actually going to fill the jacuzzi bath realised there was pubic hair from previous occupants in the bath and a yellow and black scum ring around the plug hole, utterly disgusting.

No one has ever got back to us after numerous phone calls and emails.

On checkout the receptionist did not really want to address the issues and got me to fill in a complaint form and 'a manager will call you' - two weeks later that has not happened.

No phone to call reception so had to go back down.

I thought this didnt sound positive and watched her speak to the manager from the other side of the reception and heard the manager say ‘what have you told her so far’, and then the female manager came to us along with 2 people over her shoulder watching and looking at us.

but they had music blasting over the lobby so they could not hear the phones anyway!

So we checked in to loud music so loud that you couldn’t hear the receptionist talking.

Anything could have happened and I think it is disgusting that I asked for help from reception and explained how I had been woken up and attacked by the male in the the room yet he was allowed to stay and I was offered no help at all and left vulnerable on the street.

Overhead someone saying ‘did you rub your finger prints off?’ over breakfast.

Sealed windows, 19 people in one room, you can imagine what that was like, when reaching up to 24 degrees in room.Two fans,no electric lead.

I will never stay in this hotel again, maybe due to the horrendous pre booking experience, which left me in dread about the stay and then to have this feeling confirmed multiple times throughout the stay is enough to make me write this review.

This room was constantly shaking and we honestly thought the TV was going to fall off the wall at any minute.

Our first room was on the 3rd floor (hear me out) and I was disappointed when I walked into the bathroom to find just a shower.

We literally couldn’t hear the tv… 
Then you could hear just noise from parties outside.

We tried to stay out from the room as long as possible to try and avoid the noise

The furniture's very scuffy stained tops on dressers could do with a bit of tlc loads of plug sockets and lighting good,front facing on to street so really noisy I don't know what the food was like or drinks,not sure if I'd stay again and looking at the reviews I would say they are spot on.

On the second night (Tuesday), a party started up in one of the rooms and when on really loudly until gone 0230.

At 3am we had the joy of being kept awake ALL night with drunken guests banging on the door knockers.

We would not sign this until we had proof we would still receive the refund. Email exchanges went quiet for a couple of weeks so when we emailed requesting our refund by a certain day we receive an email accusation of threats and bribery (which was what the manager originally did trying to get us to sign an NDA for a refund for HUSH MONEY!)

Now to top this of when we got back from our night out we started hearing noises from the vent in our room we all started to freak out abit as we wore convinced it was rats by the sound of it

Where do I start:
- room smells of mold, bath jets pump out black dirt, coffee spills covering side tables, stained sheets, someone’s confetti left in the bed, windows filthy and safety catches broken, no Wi-Fi, phoned reception (on my mobile as no phone in room) hung up or didn’t answer.

The windows didn't stop much noise from the busy road below.

however it maybe a little noisy with all the stag and hen groups at weekends.

If you're looking for a quiet place to stay, then you're not going to get it.

There was Leaks in the corridor ceilings and towels all over the floor, with a strong smell of damp.
