The room was clean and fresh, the food was great each morning and night.

Room was spotless to say the least with plenty of space, television worked fine, bathroom was perfect with a powerful shower, and most importantly air conditioning was available and easy to use.

I was concerned about the two of us in a tiny room with big luggage for several nights so I was glad I paid the extra $ to upgrade.

There is an annex across the street, I do not recommend the top floors as the ceilings are low and rooms are small.

We visited it on several occasions during our stay, it's not the cheapest

Could be better - parking felt expensive considering it’s their own car park.

I am asked to pay 15€ for parking per day, it was not defined in my reservation information whether it is free or paid parking.

Went in May 2023 and pay almost £250 a night.

Then the room temperature if we turn on the aircondition doesn't work well and in terms of the tv program it's so hard to use because most movie if you would like watch you need to pay.

It is close to the airport and this is also a good point the bad point i find the meal at the hotel very expensive and the breakfast timing isnt the best either .

but you have to pay for them, I've rarely seen that in a 4-star hotel.

I was asked  to pay for a room that was already paid for, and when I asked for a receipt, reception was unable to print one in a reasonable time, if ever.

I left an expensive item in my room, which they promptly shipped back to me, which arrived in less than 2 weeks.

Also, disappointing to stay in a Suite and have to pay for in-room coffee & tea. ridiculous.

I arrived very early and they offered an early check in for a fee of 45 euros.

We did not use the restaurant as felt too expensive and nothing suitable for the taste of an 11 year old.

but would cancel right away if the room were not already paid !

but when you have booked and paid 223 euro a night these are things that should have been done.when I called reception to ask for the bed etc to be made she answered the phone by saying ‘ yes’ as I as a guest was disturbing her 

The sofa bed is very uncomfy and we did not have a good night sleep. Breakfast.

I had emailed to ask if the childs bed was suitable to use with a bed guard rail - the kind that slides under the mattress to secure- they replied yes, with a photo of a rail to confirm they knew what i meant, and afterwards even provided us with a rail at no extra cost, so we didnt have to haul ours along, which i thought was going above and beyond.

You will have to check later in the paper that she will give you, after everything being paid, if it was correctly charged or not.

but not the dream hotel - the localisation is ideal to fast drive in and out of Lisbon, but need the metro to get to the center, and it is not very fast (at night you do not like to move by metro) - sky bar and restaurant convenient, but food of poor quality, and pretty expensive - limited nearby nice restaurants

The only thing we didn't enjoy was dinner at the Guilty Restaurant (mediocre food for the price and music too loud for dinner).

We experienced a couple of problems during our stay, mostly related to the room cleanliness and conditions,

There is a smell of cigarette smoke in the corridors.

Again minimum details that made difference like I had some cups or glassed smelling eggs which is a common issue when you machines not properly, I mean in a quick circle for example.

Carpets seem smelly and windows can not be opened.

The view over the Tagus is nice, it's mpossible to open the window and have fressh air which was needed in our room as it had a very strange smell.

It would have been better if they just said there was a smell instead of lying to us that there was no smell while it burned the eyes and nose.

He was completely unprofessional and smelled of vodka.

We were given a room which smelled foul inside the room.

Hallways looked tired and smelly; light in bathroom didn't work.

Our only complaint was our room clearly had been smoked in recently and was very stinky.

..there was a horrible sewage smell coming from somewhere.

Walking through a haze of cigarette smoke coming in and out of the hotel isn't nice.

(Please put all those smokers aside the main entrance and offer them some space for a quick smoke without disturbing other guests).

However, I may recommend them to check the lights more often, as several bulbs had burned out in both rooms where I stayed.

One room (q5th floor) had a bit of an unpleasant smell upon entering,

The front doors of the hotel were used as a smoking area and was constantly impeded by smoking guests.

Furthermore, I don't really understand why in this day and age, they don't have decent internet service for hotel guests.

I found the hotel free wifi to be poor, as it kept dropping in or out and would need to have a booster installed.

I consider that for a 4 star hotel the internet should be free.

Good services even in the middle of the night when wi-fi didn't work.

I was very disappointed by the fact that i had to pay for any extra such as water, or a decent internet connection in the room..
Somebody entered into my room while I was sleeping at midnight.

I am not gonna comment anything else for this hotel, except it is absolutely ridiculous for a business hotel, to a business district, hosting business visitors to charge 10 euros per day for wifi access.

Also WiFi was charged at an extortionate rate of €15 per day.

The only inconvinience is wi-fi in hotel.

I am also not too happy about the wifi charges in your room.

The WiFi is only free for 1 hour and then they charge you.

Negative: the wifi is an hour a day free only.

but the the Internet Wifi service access application, which is absolutely unfriendly and very bad designed leading the client to make mistakes (like to pay twice nevertheless being inlcuded in the voucher)

Negatives were the €10 cost of wifi for a night which in this day and age is a little mean.

Breakfast room had no window or natural light.

but also tours, mainly Americans, and sometimes tables in the breakfast rooms were scarce.

Location is super, rooms very clean, the only disappointment was one member of staff working in the breakfast room decided to raise her voice unpleasantly on occasions to some of the guests.

The breakfast room is very small so don’t be surprised if you’re only option is to sit outside of this room by the lift.

The breakfast room is also small and the waiters took way too long to clear off tables of guests that have left.

The breakfast room was a bit busy at peak times

Only negative is that the ambience of hotel and breakfast room seems to lack soul and is rather clinical.

Some people had to sit on tables in front of the elevators outside the breakfast room.

There are two breakfast rooms so if one looks crowded, just look across the hall.

but the breakfast room caters for about 50 people.

I remember waitresses preparing hot milk for my coffee and bringing me croissant when it was finished..Only that breakfast room is on the basement without any city views.

In Lisbon for four days and stayed at The Marques de Pombal Hotel.Booked a standard double room with breakfast.Everywhere very clean and tidy.Excellent room cleaning service from friendly staff.Very comfortable beds and a good sitting area.Breakfast had a good variety of cereal, fruit juices,hot food,pastries ,yoghurts cold meats and cheese and a variety of coffees and teas, all self service.

but not my favourite compared to the others

Positives: Clean rooms--polite/helpful front desk staff--wifi works very well-- designer shops down the street--local restaurants near by (walk down the street to the right of the hotel and visit Rodas, very good authentic Portugese food) 

Pillows were not that comfortable for my preference, beds were small.

but adequate ,the lighting in room very bad needs to be brighter,room clean and okay for a short few days visit.The reception staff and indeed all hotel staff very helpful and attentive.The stay included a breakfast which was okay with cereal bread rolls and fruit basic but okay.

But light was turned off, and the buffet was not completely full.

The room was lovely, just the wardrobe was a bit small and I was lacking light in the room, which is really important once in a business trip.

but it would have been nice to be able to turn a big light on had we wanted to!

When some lights were turned on , others turned off.

Spacious enough to do my exercises. The only small things I'd change: the lighting in room was low (energy saving?)

I am not giving the highest score because the bed wasn't the most comfortable and we struggled to get the lights right, we had all 4 days the bathroom in the dark ( yes I could have asked for help ).

However, the switch for the WC also controls the bed-side lights.

Light switches are odd-- instead of being able to say turn on the bathroom light you have to select a theme from reading, TV, relax, welcome and such.

The lights were out when I got into bed (so I didn't notice)

Room was perfect, the only complaint i would have is that the bathroom was quite dark (noticed on the last morning that a bulb was missing so this could have contributed to the darkness).

The room was a bit over- designed and operating the lights was not logical to us.

but there were a couple of areas for improvement:
- the lighting in the room is pretty dim, especially in the bathroom
- service at breakfast on the second day was very slow (we left without getting our tea/coffee)
Overall, would definitely return and recommend to friends.

Noticed our main drop lighting was flickering and called for it to be repaired, I was surprised it was the same people from reception that changed the faulty light bulb, problem was solved easily.

During the first night of our stay, we discovered that the main lighting in our room was not working, and hence, we changed into a new room the following morning.

but I do want to say that I like how one can control all of the light switches and dim the lights from the bed.

Only complaint was that the rooms could have had better lighting.

Only remarkable thing we found was that the lighting in the bathroom area was not bright.

Our rooms were quite clean and quite pleasant.

The hotel is beautiful with an impressive entryway, the rooms are spotless and so quiet.

The location is very convenient to visit the city, the room was clean, and the buffet breakfast was excellent!

The rooms are very clean and well kept and the breakfast is excellent.

Very clean rooms with water boiler, tea, water, and espress machine.

Modern, large and clean room, excellent service and friendly welcome.

Small, bathroom was only partitioned from room with a see through glass half wall.

Urine stains on the walls of the toilet are not a pleasant sight to encounter! !

but the shower and sink area has a glass wall.

The only cautionary note would be that the bathroom features semi-transparent glass walls which provide no real privacy for the room.

There is an opening in the wall between the bedroom and the bathroom, and has a sliding door to the toilet.

A short walk to the square and harbor access to a myriad of cafes both those aimed at the tourist market and the tiny hole in the wall that sat less than ten, great atmosphere in the old part of town, walk to the markets on block and an easy walk up to the castle.

The shower and main bedroom/living area were separated by a glass wall, allowing light to run all the way through the room.

The only downside is that the view from my room was a wall,

A further poor design issue  is that the wall that separates the bathroom from the bedroom is not a full wall -
 there is a large opening between the bathroom and bedroom, such that the noise and light from one person using the bathroom will disturb their partner who is still trying to sleep.

Also shower floor could be extended as shower glass wall is rather short, so water can run onto the hotel bedroom floor.

I think it would be much better located along the wall where the video was playing.

The standard rooms are a little on the small side and ours had no view other than the wall of the building opposite, if views and space are important I would suggest upgrading.

Waste of time asking as we were given a 1st floor room with a look-out onto a brick wall 4 yards away.

The regular double room was a bit less comfortable as there is no wall between room and bathroom.

but they have Nespresso machines with coffee pods in the rooms

TO KEEP IN MIND BEFORE BOOKING
bathroom> darkened glass walls, so the person showering is visible in the bedroom.

Some odd features such as the single door for the bathroom and wardrobe, and the glass shower walls so you could see right in from the bedroom, were actually less weird once you got used to them!

I asked if a desk or table could be brought into the room and Marta said no, that they were all glued to the walls in the other rooms.

but be aware that the shower sits one third into the middle of the room and has clear walls.

The only negative point was the lack of soap in the bathroom and a problematic high tech lighting system that avoids additional wlectric points on the walls.
