The historical walking tour with Sergio on our first day was a highlight and helped us get our bearings in the city.

I recommend a higher floor to get the best possible views of this historic, charming, and beautiful walking city!

Amazing historical items found when the hotel was built scattered throughout hotel.

I was deeply impressed by my guide Miguel, a very nice young man who introduced in details about the historical spots to us the guests, and answered us questions patiently as well .

Also stumbled upon the historical site in the basement of the hotel, it was very interesting.

The Location was perfect close to everything the historical sites, bustling nightlife on pink street ,amazing food at the Time out market and the main town square.Our room 419 was superb very spacious comfortable and modern with some lovely views of lisbon streets.The complimentary mini bar and waters everyday were a nice touch.

Form the moment you arrive at this historic gem you feel warmly and genuinely welcomed by the staff.

Excellent morning walking tour with Ana  - relaxing walk up to the castle with lots of useful background and historical information.

Sergio covered the afternoon tour showing many of the historical shops along the way, adding interesting facts and stories.

You must do the walking tour with Ana, who is so knowledgeable and gives a fantastic overview of this historic city.

It is two hours in downtown with stops at landmarks, historic shops, and a church.

We loved her commentary, which included historical information,

He led us to some historic sites around Lisbon and gave us informative facts and useful information for our trip to Lisbon.

She was able to aquire Fado tickets at a wonderful historic venue with fabulous Fado musicians… a highlight of our time in Lisbon.

We arrived very early & checked our bags while we took a nap on the comfy couches on the historical 1st floor.

I truly enjoyed my time at Corpo Santo Lisbon Historical Hotel, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a charming and historic stay in Lisbon.

We loved the historic location, and the amenities were more than we could have expected.

Who would think this is a historic hotel with “ruins” under the hotel!

Check in- smooth, easy and altho room not available - we napped in the historical lounge area in the lower level.

We explored all the historical places starting from the beach area through Cathedral, up to the top of the Castle.

Also - on top of this, basic issues like our door not locking, our shower flooding (neither of which were ever fixed) just made this a horribly disappointing stay.

Eduardo had a minor computer error fixed immediately.

A minor issue with the shower was fixed almost immediately.

but Leticia on reception was an absolute star - she answered our endless queries with patience and enthusiasm and she even ran after us out of the front door on one day to make sure her recommendation had been okay and that a minor issue in the room had been fixed.

I notified the front desk and they supposedly asked maintenance to fix our problems,

The first floor corridors continually smell of sewerage, indicating a pipework problem which they are clearly unwilling to fix.

I ask the staff three times if they could fix the issue.

buttons - there are some cool effects to enjoy - which we did have to report a couple of times before it got fixed and therefore took a couple of days to get sorted - but sorted it was and it wasn’t an urgent problem!

The hotel staff promptly gave us keys to a room just one floor up for the night so we could sleep there until the issue was fixed.

Two lights in our bedroom were not working, and I mentioned this to reception, by the time we got back to our room after a short walk, they were fixed.

but they fixed it and checked twice to see it stayed fixed. 3.

There are a few things they could do better, most of which may be easy to fix.

so then WHY didn't you fix that problem before you put another guest in that room???

They do lovely touches have an ice cream machine in reception and snacks which were welcomed after a long drive from Spain.

The lobby is always filled with snacks and an ice cream machine.

They serve all day food including snacks, ice cream, bread, desserts and so on for free.

Tour of the room with shower sound system, welcome basket with champagne and chocolate covered strawberries, 20min free massage, 24-hour snacks and ice cream in the lobby, two daily free walking tours of the city, complimentary mini bar, and even a pillow menu!

The ice cream machine serves site-made softserve that will ruin your appetite for the typical machine made versions.

The hotel has many services such as breakfast, massage, room service, free ice cream, free walking tour and more.

Touches such as complimentary snacks and candy in the lobby, a 24 hour ice cream machine, just added to the experience.

They have a snack of the day, a midnight snack, ice cream and water bottles for free  in the lobby daily.

There's even a soft serve ice cream machine!

We loved the unique amenities of the property - soft serve ice cream in the lobby, daily happy hour, walking tours, to name a few!

in the lobby, they have soft serve ice cream (they call it "emergency ice cream, and there's a room in the lower level called The Living Room - there are certified Roman ruins to explore.

There is a table in the lobby loaded with snacks and treats 24/7, coffee, water, and an “Ice Cream Emergency” bar.

The receptionist poured us some lovely ice cream from the complimentary ice cream machine(it’s there 24hours) before showing us to our room.

-let me say my motto is “eat dessert first” and the 24-hour ice cream with homemade granola & the candy / sweets table was a dream!

The room was so comfortable and quiet, the food was perfect every time, and the staff are always helpful and polite.

THE HOTEL:
The Corpo Santo Lisbon Historic Hotel is a beautiful boutique hotel with wonderful amenities, features, food, and drinks!

Our dinner was excellent and came much faster than we expected.

Waters, sodas and beers in the minibar-included.

I feel very delighted dining in the restaurant.

The smoked margarita is something to experience, my wife loved it.

All 3 of us had a fantastic stay at the Corpo Santo Hotel, from the staff to the food it was all superb.

Located near subway (green line), trams, Time out Lisbon (food market), and Pink Street.

The doorman, front desk staff, restaurant staff, and room service staff were all kind.

Every single meal suggestion was spot-on.

At check in we were also informed that the booking came with a “cocktail experience”, which was essentially a free cocktail at the bar.

Great bar and restaurant with a large menu.

Full service, sit-down with a waiter experience and a complete menu for anyone's taste.

We had an excellent stay at the hotel. Some highlights: 
- The complimentary walking tours (morning tour with Anna, afternoon tour with Miguel) were wonderful and a great value
- The food was consistently high quality (breakfast, evening wine tasting, midnight snack, etc.)

The hotel is cozy and chic, rooms are large with all amenities.

Rooms are very clean, with everything you need.

Our room was ready within an hour which was very unexpected and amazing!

Our room is very spacious and comfortable, so many gifts, snacks, free minibar that actually I have problem on finishing them.

The rooms were spotless and the spa was a lovely place to rest the massage was a lovely touch to!

OVERVIEW:
There are many reasons to stay at this hotel—location, rooms, amenities, F&B, and treats; the best reason is its staff!

They have a welcome snack in the room and champagne as well as a minibar.

Chocolate covered strawberries with sparkling wine in the room.

Staff are friendly and helpful, rooms spacious and homey, and so so so much complimentary goods and services!

The room was cleaned to perfection every day it was like walking into a new room everyday.

The room was huge and spotless, and the shower was the best ever.

The warm staff, beautiful room, wonderful breakfast, convenient location and rich history of the hotel made this trip so memorable.

The rooms are spacious; I joked with my friend they do give a bit of a 'corporate' vibe (we have worked together in the past and could see these rooms similar to ones we used to stay in for corporate events/conventions).

Staff are doing everything they can to make your stay comfortable.

She was very knowledgeable and provided lots of interesting information about the history and culture of Lisbon.

I took one of the free walk tours and Nuno was so knowledgeable, explaining so much of the history of the places we went to.

They were both awesome, knowledgeable and of course locals.

While the location itself was perfect for tourists, it really is the hotel itself and the staff that earns the top marks.

The hotel staff will do everything possible to make your stay enjoyable!

Also don’t miss the free massage provided by hotel, honestly I didn’t expect hotel therapist could be so professional —— I would say, Ms. Anabela, one the the most professional massage therapists I have ever met in my life, I even extended the massage after free time!

The hallways leading up to the room are old, tired (stains on carpet flooring), and just outdated.

however, mention a few nit-picky things for anyone who’s super discerning—there was a stain on our room carpeting that drove me a little crazy.

although I felt the hotel was well kept and I’m sure the carpets are cleaned regularly, the stains from wear and tear can be a bit off putting.

There were a couple of small stains that look like red wine in our room carpet that I mention only because it was the only thing that kept our room from being total perfection.

Only one minor quibble was stains on the carpet, which probably is difficult for any property to stay on top of,

Particularly enjoyed a guided tour of the old city by Sérgio!

We also took advantage of the afternoon tour provided by Nuno Ricardo, which was excellent as well.

Ours was with Ana and Nuno (morning and afternoon tour).

Bruno took us to our room and gave us a tour (we were in the Prestige Suite).

We had the Xmas special evening one with Nuno, a nice gentleman, it was a great experience to walk with him across the city at the end of year, seeing those locations and feel the festival atmosphere in Lisbon.

but the highlight was the 10:30 am walk with Miguel - he literally was a wealth of knowledge and led our group uphill to the castle of a leisurely 2 hour walk - and gave a great lunch recommendation there as well.

You can join the free walking tour in the morning, in which the hotel staff as guide will tell you stories about the history of Lisbon.

The breakfast was amazing, and the walking tours were fun and informative.

The hotel provide twice daily walking tours too which is a really good idea.

Rooms were immaculate and luxurious, and breakfast was a much anticipated event for us each morning, as the food, variety, and service were exemplary.

The hotel, located in a perfect area of Lisbon,  is a historical hotel.

If you enjoy traveling to well kept and maintained historical site, with an amazing team who only wants to make certain your experience is pleasant then you just found your home in Lisbon!

If you want historic, best location in the middle of everything, great views, great staff, this is the place.

The hotel is beautiful and historical, we had room 416 with a statue to the right of our window.

This hotel had all the classic charm supplemented with all the modern touches the traveller of today requires including lots of chargers and a fully charged no cost I phone in your room to take out and about with you if required.

The Avenida location within historic Lisbon is the best.

We chose Hotel Avenida Palace because we are very fond of historic hotels.

From the moment you walk through the doors everything is beautiful, the staff is courteous and caring, classic and charming hotel.

but also for its historical connections - you will be staying in a building which in its time has hosted not only the rich and famous but also Spies, secret agents, world celebrities, Royalty, and of course, Alves Reis, arch conman and brilliant criminal mind, who used the Palace bar as his office, ( do go for a look at his house, The Casa do Menhino D’Oro, The house of the golden boy, and then afterwards visit the home of Amalia Rodrigues, which is close by, Amalia’s pet parrot, Chico, will welcome you!)

One last thing, the breakfast buffet is extensive in a beautiful room overlooking a roundabout of the Main Street with a classic monument to view.

There was live evening music on the weekends too.

We enjoyed the bar every evening and the live piano music.

Piano recitals in the evening a nice touch.

In the evening between 7-8 there is a piano player in the lounge area where you can have cocktails and dinner.

The hotel is in the center of the city, it is clean, well designed and the night music is a great addition.

Staff were welcoming and helpful, the building is absolutely stunning, bar with live music (and well made cocktails)  in the evenings is a lovely touch and the location is very good for a wide number of hotels and tours.

Their bar has live piano music most nights.

Great location next to a metro station; free breakfast, upgraded to a suite upon arrival, music in the salon nightly, good drinks from the bar.
