The hotel was very busy including the pool area with young families and as such was a little noisy and boisterous,

Also our room was located right on the edge, near the road, so there was some traffic noise (though not THAT inconvenient).

Hotel is big and sometimes a bit noisy, depending on the neighborhood.

So much noise due to construction and a business conference.

Big and noisy construction next to the hotel made our mornings short.

CONS:
The room's door (de-lux room) was not blocking any of the sounds from the hallway - so if any other guests are walking by your room you will hear every word they are talking, and you will wake up in the morning with the first guests leaving their rooms as you can hear their moves, talks, children very loudly.

At the hotel itself there were many families with kids which made the lobby and the retaurant crowded and noisy.

Noise insulation can also be an issue, especially kids running in the corridors,

Only real downsides for us were -queues at reception at many times -  the kids running up and down the corridor and closing doors loudly, the floors and doors are quite echoey.

The exuberance of the noise only intensified as the early hours of the morning dawned.

Phone didn’t work in the room, I believe this is for your convenience, so you are not disturbed by anybody.

but however we had to sit among the customers those had mostly half or full boards and it was a bit disturbing.

The building construction next to the hotel was giving some noise during the daytime

but this was way too much, they occupied everything from reception, lobby, bar and restaurant and were of course very noisy because nobody cared – nor their parents nor the hotel staff.

The shower jets around the pool didn't seem to work and neither did those in the pool.

The jets and heating seemed to be broken, and the pool isn't big enough to actually swim in.

Perfectly located 20m from the slopes, this hotel has a range of facilities, spotless rooms, helpful staff and a nice hearty breakfast.

Rooms were very clean, so kudos to housekeeping :) 

The dinner and breakfast could be better.

That's why they only earn a fraction of the management, because their unwillingness has to be rewarded accordingly.

On one occasion i asked the manager who was wearing a grey suit a question and he told me to ask someone else.

When we have raised this issue to restaurant manager he explained that it was hotel initiative to bring us more wine since portions mentioned in menu are too little from the restaurant point of view.

When we ask to change a table since I was with my Mother, a lady age 85 that was tired to walk so far - the manager was so antisocial and her attitude was so antipathetic and she rudely refuse to help us and continued to refuse even when one of the ladies in the reception talked with her!!

a lady that took sit at that place almost sat on broken glass left there - she noticed and asked for chair replacement herself- it seems like this place is running with no manager or they are just focused on short term profit and are hiring low qualified and as few as possible employees

2) facilities have early closing time and couple of minutes after the time the waiter will tell you: sorry we are closed! 3) I paid 70% of full price for a bit of clear pasta for the kid (8 euro), and the manager told me thta was even waiter fault to give me (unbelievable.  )

I'm not sure how could the management miss such a detail.

but more the management and or the governments fault.

During the day I asked 4 times to speak with the manager (Mr Vujtek, or Vujtik something like this).

but not before we had to speak personally to the hotel manager).

We talk about it with manager on duty,  he palliate and promise us make change,

but two days later they send an email that we have to pay the room that they did not give it to us in time that we been there.

Downside is there is no aircon in the rooms (and it was very warm when we were there) and there is an expensive and prescriptive dinner each night (which we opted out of).

but please reconsider the prices of drinks in the restaurant.

We wanted to book a room for a couple with a baby, two different prices showing on two different screens, had to call them and resolve, not a big issue,

No helper to close roof top fence (Velux) anyway into rooms!!!! Quite expensive price (320euros for 2 bedrooms 1 night and 4 breakfasts)

When we have raised question to the reception the lady was quite aggressive saying that “In the whole world the tap water is charged, so what do you expect from us”?

For kid breakfast only fruit or sweeet cereals - no pancakes or creppes- No buffet for dinner - you have to pick a dish from 3 choice menu, portions are very small for adults, if kid does not like it you have to pay to get smth else- jar of tap water with lemon is 3 euros!- dinner service takes around 2h!

Everything included in the price of the package was cheap-cheap alcohol, awful dinner, bad masseg without choice.

When we insisted they had to check if this is subject to a fee or not.

For the money we paid we should have free coffee.

It was the first time I have been offered for a triple room and have been asked to actually pay for a triple room even if we were just 2.

but probably online with rates for a hotel of this nature.

I find the main hotel a little old and pricey.

We visited this hotel because other hotels on this area are overpriced or with worst equipment etc.

For 36EUR/2 hrs its really not cheap funny.

but the person is completely indifferent to the problems and requests you make.

Tbh comparing the hotel webpage information to reality in aspect of GF awareness huge disappointment also while booking i have asked for extended time to leave apparent -

Simple requests were dismissed, and there was a rather abusive encounter with one of the staff.

ONE HOUR later, after dealing with his swearing, banging, sawing on metal with open flames flying - ripping the door off, we had to go down and request another room.

Another time I asked at the restaurant in the afternoon, if we can get some light snacks, as the english description suggested.

but reception staff requested our plate numbers when we've arrived, so it shouldn't be a problem to call visitors who are parking on disabled spots and ask them to move car somewhere else.

Also, you asked for water, and standardly our clients are ordering from the list of drinks.

Moreover they didn’t have a bell boy and I was alone with 2 kids and my mother and no one helped me to carry the suitcases, even when I asked for help!!

When we asked for they said they don't provide.

Staff was  very frendly, room was clean, food was realy tasty :-)

After checking in, a maintenance man was sent to the room to fix a broken doorknob as we sat waiting in the room to unpack.

each family table has a small table with colouring pens and pages to entertain kids while you wait fir food to be served.

The only thing we can comment was that on our day of arrival, they had a dinner menu until 21:00 with a starter, main meal and a dessert, so if we wanted something else on the á la carte menu, we had to wait until 21:00.

Of course I went to the reception and the lady tell me that I have simply to wait till 7am the arrival of the Maintenance guy, 2nd SHOCK!!.

The soups were too warm for children, so we had to wait a while.

Reception are terribly slow and cleaners do the bare minimum unless asked.

We really liked that here - outdoor spa, good food, nice service, clean rooms, great location.

Room was very clean, bathroom was smelling beautifuly. .

The hotel staff were English speaking and very helpful , the rooms were new and very clean .

Clean rooms, great position with sauna outside, place for children inside. Tripadvisor wants me to write more, so I write more :-)

Rooms are rather small and are basically unfurnished.

The normal rooms are quite small, 11 sqm,

but when we came back in the evening we’ve found our dirty wet towels on the same place.

Only small negative moment - bathroom washbasin - small place under water tap to wash hands or teeth.

but no cups and no water and actually no tea.

No hot water in shower one afternoon and luke at other times, last thing you want on a ski holiday.

Absolute reluctancy to find a way to accommodate their customers satisfaction, where "it's not possible because" seems like for the bolshevik manager a key motto of the success, who deals the customer issue with you like you would be some kind of a student of the summer pioneer camp back in 80`s.

They did say no only if we will pay for all exstra night 😳😳😳

Policy in the wellness( spa) kids have to be accommodated by adults if they are Younger than 15,this what manager told me.

but hotel management was really helpful and tried to mitigate our issues.

but unfortunately due to a series of mistakes/poor management by our tour operator 'MOUNTAIN PARADISE', we were forced to transfer to a hotel in another resort at the last minute, as were a number of other families.

- “Invisible” hotel manager who is not available to meet with his guests.

but it was not included in the price for accomodation, there is big minus for us, that I had to pay also as a hotel guest.

We travel a lot and comparing to other so-called fancy places like, France, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Hawaii, California, Whistler resort we never get this level and quality of service and food for such reasonable prices!

.ah pretty simple " a beer or a glass of champers " new years eve " no bar open set time for dinner and the only bar they have was shut and every other eve not open until 8pm, finally after an very average dinner we enjoyed a whiskey with the most delightful bar lady " Lubica " without her delightful attitude i would attempt to rate this hotel as even worse thanks to her the stay was not a complete disaster.

but after comparing the prices and the benefits we found it the less expensive with more activities.

I guess it has a stunning view (it could be much expensive as well).

but paying small fee if you want to use it is not a big deal - at least it was not for us and we don't complain.)

but with no access to sauna/jacuzzi  but after 1pm it costs 8 euros each for the privilege of the pool and sauna/Jacuzzi, which is a total rip off!

- the water in all swimming pools is very cold, couldn't put the child in
- we had to pay at the wellness 9 euro and 6 euro for children.

but you need to pay extra 9€/adult for 3 hours and 6€ even for my baby girl (8 months) for whom the water temperature was too cold had to leave after 10 minutes.

In summary, rather than this go to Sabiria, it is more authentic, and it is cheaper, too.

We waited only for beer half hour and got cold food after.

Breakfast was a buffet with hot and cold food.

The English from the waitress was rather bad, the cappuchino cold, the smashed  potatoes partly raw, the fish of the day totally tasteless, the traditional Slovak food even worse with dry meat.

I ordered a steak of local venison and it was tough to say the least and almost cold.

Cold soup, no cutlery and reject on serving couvert I found disturbing definitely not corresponding with presented hotel status (and I do not require high society service).

but again, mine steak with mushrooms and beef tail was very very tasty but COLD!!!

but after we got served dry salmon on the frozen veggies we decided to talk to management on the next day.

Also hotel manager should say "Hello" or "Nice evening" when he pass near guests and not to go as silent mummy..

Last point is related to massage for pregnant ladies that is offerred in spa..once you are charging this specific massage by you should at least kniw how this one should be performed and what is this massage containing and not to say on request that its the same as normal one

Having read the previous unfavourable reviews on the restaurants, I must say that the management took them seriously.

So I have asked to talk to manager and after one hour of waiting we were allowed to move to another 100km away hotel in High Tatras which is owned by the same company.

Room was very clean - take a apartment Lux or VIP with fireplace.

Rooms were clean, breakfast and restaurant offer plenty and you can also ask for extra from the kitchen.

Very nice interior, cosy and clean room, helpful staff.

This is the best hotel in Nizke Tatry in Demänovka dolina, Great awarded cook, clean rooms with forest views, you feel connected directly with nature and forests, you hear the river crossing behind the hotel.

Our room was clean, large enough, well equipped.

Interior and exterior of restaurant looks like typical old wooden restaurant.

service too slow, food average honestly not a good representation of slovak cuisine.

Apartments are not well sound isolated so you can hear everything around and especially above (we had one not very pleasant noisy evening).

Official supper time was 6-8pm, due to bad traffic we have arrived 2 hours late,

The rooms are OK. We stayed 4 nights and after the 1st night we asked to move to another room away from the kitchen cooler sounds.

The bed made terrible noise when turning from one side to another.

but could do with curtains, we were woken up by the sun at dawn each morning.

Nice traditionnal construction, wood chalet, very nice, wide and clean room with sofa room and balcony giving on hotel back side and river.

No sauna, limited access to the swimming pool (no entry after 8pm), bar closed at 9pm, no socials at all, kids corner from hell, no gym access, no trampoline area access apart from once a week.

Furthermore poorly equipped un-welcoming gymnasium spread on two floors, no leisure time area available due to damaged pool table.

but with no real success to change it into a modern facility (I would say that they just put a little make-up on it to hide its outdated style).

Hotel facilities are a bit aged, bed is very very uncomfortable.

There were always some swimming classes for children or something else going on, and when we finally did get it, it was cold and generally unwelcoming.

Each guest has a free access to hotel's fitness center (rather small) and hotel's swimming pool (25 metres x 12,5 metres) with thermal water.

The staff is okay, there are some language issues as they are not used to have foreign guests.

The pool was a bit of a disappointment - as it was almost never available to the guests.

But, this is to be expected, the hotel's clients are mainly older people and families with children.

I see problems in this hotels as problems caused by poor senior leadership rather then employees failing this place.

There was free Wi-Fi which had very poor reception in our room--it only worked in the lobby.

Lets start with good things, food was really good, rooms were clean, water was absolutely fabulous and sight seeing with view on Tatra mountains was great too.

Our room was very clean, the receptionists always helpful and the food was very good.

Here the cons:

- outdated amenities, uncomfortable bed
- although I have no complaints about the quality of the food (I really liked it), dinners were supposed to be until 20.30,

but rather uncomfortable to manage it with skiing.

The rooms were clean and the food was good.One can easily get to the nearest ski slopes in a couple of minutes, the position of the hotel is very good.

Rooms were clean and I recommend thai massage .

Excellent location, very nice hotel with clean rooms, friendly staff and especially very delicious food.

Our room was on the third floor without a lift,

I had to sleep on the floor in the other room where my kids were sleeping for one week.

In the morning I was not able to ski due to no sleep therefore I stayed in the room to get some rest.

but definitely dont go there with kids or if you want sleep at night hours.

There was also skidepot for your own skies.The hotel has no lift so if you dont like stairs ask for a room on first floor.

The only down fall was the stairs and no lift.

If you like a noisy room stay by the stairs, the vibrations will help you loose weight with the small food portions.
