We had a room in 4th floor with the view to the mountains and the forest (and incredibly huge and ugly hotel construction ;-)).

So much noise due to construction and a business conference.

Big and noisy construction next to the hotel made our mornings short.

but currently being a part of whole area reconstruction - lots of construction works ongoing - but it will be nice again if they finish (when?

but they are many buildings under construction around which generate some disruptions.

On to another room, this time on the third floor, at the end of a dim, smoke smelling corridor again next to the construction site.

The building construction next to the hotel was giving some noise during the daytime

Currently lot of building and construction activities in the closest neighbourhood, probably will last till next year as well.

They were having repair works near my room and near the place where breakfast is served and imagine yourself that you wake up at 8 and hear the sound of pneumatic drill or you eat breakfast and there is this horrible sound everywhere.

Kids corner was just an empty room with not a single toy.

There are not that many toys in the kids room,

There are no blackout curtains for children that need to rest during the daytime either.

but oh boy, when we finally started to head towards the slopes, THATS when things started getting interesting.

but if you're minding your children, that's not an option for you.

CONS:
The room's door (de-lux room) was not blocking any of the sounds from the hallway - so if any other guests are walking by your room you will hear every word they are talking, and you will wake up in the morning with the first guests leaving their rooms as you can hear their moves, talks, children very loudly.

At the hotel itself there were many families with kids which made the lobby and the retaurant crowded and noisy.

The pool is surrounded by children and unfortunately the jacuzzi was too warm for the very hot summer weather.

During the afternoon the indoor pool swarmed with small children splashing around creating mayhem.

but is only open in the afternoons from 3pm and as the hotel is ski in and out its popular with families with kids -so the spa can get busy after skiing until 7pm.

The only thing that is free is the lovely entertainment provided by the children which enhanced the atmosphere and added a truly cheerful note that seemed missing in some of the staff.

I think this hotel is dedicated for families with kids, hotel has a lot of facilities for kids.

Obviously it can be also too much/annoying for guests without kids.

but not very big concern though, staff were nice and friendly, breakfast got boring after the 3rd day and full of people, kids, not easy to find a vacant table in the morning.

but they have not enough experience so the result is poor,  service - girls ok, men - cold and unfriendly.

There are 2 soups, 4 main courses, 1 kids dish, 3 desserts and some starters changing every evening.

but the swimming pool is small and shallow, full of kids and there is no way you can swim and relax.

We had ski package paid and we had down to ski depo.

and do something to improve because with this service and prices you can hardly  concur to even low cost accommodation facilites.

but it's not a nice practice not to offer anything to drink in the price of the buffet.

This includes area of night skiing (lift ticket costs €15 additional), so after the dinner I took couple of hours of additional skiing sometimes.

You should defo charge more for standard room, 160e is not much for taking clients back to 80s.

I thing that price for this "de luxe" is very overpriced.

The management should really pay attention on that as we have had problems with them every single day,
There is a small indoor pool with toys and outdoor jacuzzis with pampering warm water.

For comparison for the same price in Austria, Kaprun we had really deluxe appartments.

although now I know I should pay more attention to the negative ones.

overall, a bit overpriced if paying a full price.

In my opinion it is overpriced hotel whose quality and service are far below this price level.

but it was old very old.. not windows, old carpet and dirty, in resume nothing compare with the pics we saw in the internet, when we noticed that the other rooms and floors look different  we complained in the reception , they basically opologize for it but did notthing else, we really feel they lie to us we paid for a 4 start hotel and we got a room like 2 starts, is absolutely not acceptable they are renting rooms that are old and not reconstruct with the same price like the new ones.

The fact that the spa would cost extra 3,- Euro per day doesn't seem very expensive

In general, I wouldn't recommend you this hotel if you are expecting a 4 star quality at 4 star prices.

And do not assume, than sinfully expensive "appartman" will look adequately to price.

Food was delicious, all the dinner options were tasty and a good selection at breakfast.

The restaraunt food is ok if you use the a la carte menu instead of the buffet.

Breakfast was ok, nothing to complain about, dinner was very dissapointing.

The room service is decent and the hotel has a nice cleaning practice in place.

The dinner, three main courses plus dessert.

Dinner was a buffet style affair and the food was reasonable and a good choice.

Attention towards the end of the program "disappears" part of the assortments. We stayed for 4 days and gathered around 20:30 at no time (although dinner is served until 9.30 pm)

Around the hotel is cableway and a nice restaurant.

Rooms were very clean, so kudos to housekeeping :) 

The dinner and breakfast could be better.

The food was not presented well, and while some things tasted great, most didn't.

The buffet breakfast and dinner are good, there's a decent selection of everything.

Strong positives are; great location beside lift, excellent spa and wellness and rooms are OK.

Even so, the fourth room was always available to use.

Hotel is located few meters from the slopes and lifts, which is amazing if your are a winter lovers as we are ;-)

We were given a refurbished room and it was extremely nice décor with a nice stone feature wall in the bathroom.

The rooms are of decent size and quite clean; the size of the large bathroom with the generous size of the mirrors and storage place there.

We have had one mobile air heater available in the room, so it compensated,

The room was really big, nicely decorated and most of all really clean.

A beautiful hotel with all the facilities you want in a place when you are up in the mountains: nice rooms, swimming pool with jacuzzi; outdoor jacuzzi; outdoor therapy lake; sauna; steam room; massage; kids club etc.

The wellness centre was a great idea and is well laid out, the relaxation from the outdoor spa in the snow and sauna rooms was a great way to unwind after a long day skiing.

Room was as on the pictures so no complain there.

Spa was lovely, big variety of spa facilities (pool, steam room, sauna, massage).

Perfectly located 20m from the slopes, this hotel has a range of facilities, spotless rooms, helpful staff and a nice hearty breakfast.

Our rooms were spotlessly clean with the standard 4 star amenities.

My room was clean and very nice I have to mention that once more because that would be the only positive thing I could say about that hotel.

Finally after an hour and 4 rooms (carrying our luggage) we found a room that did not smell of smoke and promised to be quite.

You can get to rooms only with left lift through the smelly corridor.

And you could literally smell it already in the corridor, the smell was really horrible!!!

But the real horror started entering the room which was smelling quite strange/musty and we had to keep the window open during the whole day to get some air.

Everything was fat and oily and smelled like garlic.

Stayed for a couple of days in August, the hotel is in a great position a short walk to the chair lift that was operating to give access to the mountain (€5 for a two day pass).

4* hotel belonging to Tatry mountains resorts.

Nice accommodation for making a trip around -  mountains, and perfect location for skiing in the winter - close to the ski lifts.

The outdoor Jacuzzis in the snow with the mountains and snow covered trees behind are amazing at night and were not busy when we used them!

It's possible to walk on the Mountains near the hotel.

The staff are friendly, the facilities are clean, the food are delicious and the choices are huge, rooms are cozy, beautiful view.

The hotel is also near a network of mountain hiking trails, and less than 10 minutes walk from a beautiful glacial lake.

but clean and tidy, with magnificent view of the Mt, Chopok, you can even see it from the outside jacuzzi whilst sipping on the champagne.

The Wellness Grand Hotel is a relatively modern Hotel in beautiful Jasna mountain region of Slovakia.

we loved: kind staff, nice room in modern mountain style, cleanliness, really great cuisine (wide choice for breakfast and dinner choice from four menus), wellness, mini zoo, location close to many hiking routes

but capable on most slopes, travelled to the Hotel Grand in the last week of March and the snow conditions on the north side of the mountain were great.

For people who love mountains it is good choice because its of valued location,

It felt more like a city break than a mountain holiday.

Grand is in fantastic location, everyone who likes mountain will love it.

The hotel is in a very good location next to the cabels to Chopok mountain which is amazing view and next to other attractions like the rope park TARZANIA and next to a buetiful lake with ducks inside.

For example just smash carrots.perfect situated next to mountains.

We enjoyed a wellness with finish saunas (4x), outdoor jacuzzi (2x) with outlook to the hill Chopok (2024 m), small pool for children, steaming saunas very nice resting room; only deficiency is the absence of a cooling bath, of course there are several showers.

Baby received toy, colouring book when we arrived - very nice touch.

We like to play board games with kids in the lobby bar and bowling was very funny too.

My daughter asked for more time in the swimming pool (due to restrictions). The playground outside and the childrens corner are very kids friendly and offer wide choice of activities :-)

Professional staff, well equiped hotel with swimm pools, bars, bowlings, sauna, and so on, very nice room on 5th floor with balcony, quite clean even if could be better on some areas of bedromm and bathroom.

Animators were génial with children, especially Andrea, all children love her!

Dinner served was tasteful, daily activities and animation program were various and interesting for all of us. Our family is looking forward for our next stay :-)

As I learnt they also have packages for families (with activities for children), or romantic package for couples, package for seniors, even special ones for extended weekend joga package !

A nice place with activities for any weather.

Hotel ideal for families with children: play rooms, games, billiards, bowling, animations.

The activities for children are really good and our kids enjoyed especially the clown show and bowling competition.

We were not prepared for such a tone of voice and such a CHEAP APPROACH of the 4* hotel so this attitude had a bad impact on our moods.

2) facilities have early closing time and couple of minutes after the time the waiter will tell you: sorry we are closed! 3) I paid 70% of full price for a bit of clear pasta for the kid (8 euro), and the manager told me thta was even waiter fault to give me (unbelievable.  )

The only points to reach the top are related to the internet availability (too slow and sometimes not even available) and to the bed we have found for our 2 children (11 and 7 y. old) which was a single armchair bed, too small for them.

When we have raised this issue to restaurant manager he explained that it was hotel initiative to bring us more wine since portions mentioned in menu are too little from the restaurant point of view.
