The breakfast was ok, typical of a normal hotel.

A previous reviewer mentioned that tables at breakfast remain uncleared.

I would recommend having your own omelet made for the complimentary breakfast.

but you can’t beat the location, the friendly staff, the happy hours and free breakfast!

The LOCATION, to the games, the Haymarket area, and Downtown, as well as the two outstanding gentleman chefs for morning breakfast are the ONLY reasons we have continued to come back.

As you will know they charge premium prices for The Nebraska football game and you have a minimum 2 day stay!

however you pay each time you come and go.

You can valet park for a fee or there is self parking up the street for a lot less (we weren't even charged for one day of the parking, have no idea why!).

Parking has to be in city garage or the best bet is to pay a little extra and use valet.

The pull out couch mattress was crunchy from coffee being spilled on it, stains all over and we paid for a “premium corner suite”.

Even with issues and less service, the room was just as expensive with no reduction.

The only wanted to comp half of the upgrade fee and I complained.

Paid for upgrade to premium, had to call and ask if they still have the snacks, went down picked up the snacks, front desk acted like we were trying to get get another, paid for valet, they backed my car up 15 feet, and charged me $19 for that, have stayed at that embassy every time we stay in Lincoln, little disappointed, front desk clerk at check in Tuesday May 25 around 3 wasn't the usual friendly reception.

I don't blame any front-line employees because I doubt they get paid enough to police the hotel's published requirements on masks.

NO VALIDATION cost us $11.25   Completely unacceptable for an Embassy Suites.

So they can rent the room to another person tonight and get paid for the same room two times on this date.

Almost all of the rooms we have stayed in have bathrooms with ceiling issues and caulk and mold issues in tub/shower and sadly worn old tile on the floor.

The bathroom was disgusting and the showerhead kept falling apart.

however the rooms are outdated and smelled weird.

If you look up the cause of strong chlorine smell in a pool you'll see it is usually caused by urine.

In the bedroom, there was a stain or burn on the carpet, I couldn't tell what it was.

but breathing all over the buffet line is a very different thing.

My room reeked of cigarettes and armpits.

The room had stains on the carpets and sheets, and the room itself was very musty.

Second, even more disturbing, was that prior to using the toilet, there was urine stains on the back between the seat and tank(GROSS).

I had to wash my hair in sink that didn’t drain well. !

We stay here as often as we come to the city, this trip was a disappointment with the pillow cases stinking like an old man and the towels were still dirty with old mascara and makeup.

We were in a queen room on the 7th floor and our room was clean, it did have an unpleasant smell to it, like an old hotel.

but I had to be up at 5am so I was irritated.the next morning I was woken up by the smell of breakfast being cooked downstairs.

The room was clean and spacious as was the breakfast area.

We stayed for one night and the staff were very friendly, the room was excellent and breakfast was awesome.

Their staff at the desk and breakfast were stellar; they were most helpful and quite appreciative for us being there.

We found it very clean, and it had a nice large open breakfast space.

As a TA and owner of a bed & breakfast and brewery, I have high expectations for all lodging facilities.

The staff was friendly, the room was one of the cleanest I’ve ever seen, the breakfast was satisfactory and checking in/out was a breeze!

Also there is a coffee latte, expresso machine at breakfast.

I went down 10 minutes later to tell that same staff member that his behavior was unappreciated and very rude.

I told the early evening manager what I was told over the phone a week before, and he was quite rude and insistent no on would ever tell me this.

Also he was very rude about wearing a mask and was very stern non polite asking.

Not sure how someone so rude can be in such a guest-centric position.

All staff besides housekeeping were incredibly rude.

I came the next day to be greeted by Dave with his rude comment.

I think they recently changed their curtains in some rooms because they are designed to not close all the way and the street lights are blinding in our room - they the girl at the desk was rude when we mentioned that it would be helpful if the curtains could close all the way and block that light out.

When I asked about a senior discount he was almost rude.

but not the best, daytime front staff were rude when asking for more towels and for the room to be cleaned.

My only problem was the staff in my opinion was rude and not helpful at all!!!!

Unfortunately, like most older properties, our room's window HVAC fan was loud.

We had to fight with the AC a few times otherwise I would give the hotel 5 stars.

Room are ALWAYS clean and the air conditioner is always cold.

Second is the leaky shower head that wouldn't stop leaking, meaning an echoing dripping noise all night.

Despite that the heater in the pool and spa was broken and the cable for our television was broken, we had a nice stay.

When I took a shower the pressure went from good to poor and then from warm to freezing cold.

Pool and hot tub didn't work, and our AC unit was very loud.

The sofa bed was also directly in front of the a/c unit and blew ice cold air on my youngest daughter all night with no way to redirect the airflow.

Unfortunately the HVAC in our room was not well controlled.

We had a very large room and my daughter was sleeping by the air conditioner, so I asked for a fan as I suffer from night sweats.

The temperature in our room was easily controlled by a thermostat on the wall.

I do wish there was a setting on the ac/heater to have the fan run continuously.

We just tried to leave the fan run for the white noise.

The A/C keeps the room from being dead air stuffy like most others.

My only negative comment relates to our room, which had a rather noisy air conditioner unit that kept us awake off and on all night.

The breakfast was the typical Hampton Inn spread.

The breakfast space was clean and someone was always restocking items.

The breakfast both mornings  was more than we typically see at a Hampton with fresh scrambled eggs even offered up until 30 minutes before it ended and good sausage, waffles and muffins.

There’s so many amenities, the free breakfast being a big one!

At the end of the stay, she had typed up a note to me saying she hoped our trip home would go well and then gave me a gift card for a restaurant and said she hoped this would make it a little better.

Eventually, the man at the desk ran my charge card without a discount, then realized there WAS, in fact, a Verizon discount,

Why do you take credit cards to SAVE your room when you don't actually SAVE it?!?!

Upon arrival key cards were ready at front desk and only took seconds to check in.

Below Average,  After being involved in a winter storm needed to extend our stay we were treated very rudely and charged more for our additional night.

but also delivered our temporary cards to our room.

When we check in we typically are given a bottle of water, this time they charged $200.

They ensured I wasn't charged a penalty by the third party booker and went to great lengths to fix things

We were charged twice for our room and we are still trying to get our money back some 36 hours later.

When I asked about a discount for not getting the hot tub use (featured on their website) AND the inability to use the showers or toilet after 10 AM I was told because I booked third party any discount would first have to go through them and then I would get refunded. Okay.

We weren't welcomed as Honors members at all, the wifi was not working our entire stay, the front desk was never staffed (instead there was a sign with instructions to call someone), my husband called and asked for more pillows and was abruptly told "No" and then hung up on!

I called this hotel directly, to make a reservation for my college daughter, who was traveling from Colorado to Minnesota.She turns "21' in 12 days, I didn't think it was too big of a request.

I asked to be near the elevator and they placed us right across the Huallaga.

On our first time here 2 weeks ago Nelson was extremely irritated with us when we asked for the amount of our room.

The fact that the manager did not respond to my request speaks volumes.

The elevators were a bit slow so if this kind of thing annoys you then it might be in your interest to request a first floor.

I asked why aren't guests informed of the water issue when staying in rooms towards the end of the hall.

I asked to get another room and was told I had to stay in the room I was given

I do wish the desk clerk would have asked me if I had AAA or some other membership since I wasn't a Hampton Inn member.

but I switched because they were not accommodating for my request of my early check- in.

So I asked for a refund, they said the couldn't do that either.

I made the reservations via phone and was able to request adjoining rooms because we were traveling with another family.

but will request a room on the far side of the building from the interstate.

However, when we checked out, we asked about a discount for Verizon and were given a huge runaround.

Good coffee and breakfast had eggs, meat, cereal, variety of breads, spreads, juice, fruit, yogurt.

but cheaper that other motels breakfast was good.

Breakfast is average to below for a hotel.

Breakfast didn’t start until 7, so I didn’t even get fuel before getting back on the road.

On a positive note, breakfast was consistently OK and the parking, coffee and wifi were good.

I stayed 7 days and enjoyed the variety of foods on the buffet at every breakfast.

It also was nice to finally enjoy some of the perks we could not during the pandemic - the pool and hot tub were well maintained, and the continental breakfast was pleasing enough.

The hotel did have “grab and go” breakfast which we skipped.

The breakfast was delicious, and everything was kept full and clean at all times.

I pulled the nightstand away from the wall to make sure the phone was plugged in, and the area behind the nightstand hadn’t been cleaned for a VERY long time.

Sunday no one came either, so we flagged down a housekeeper in the hall and asked for service and she added us to our list.

The room was very spacious, the bathroom was quite small and looked like it wasn’t cleaned prior to our stay.

The room needs updating and deep cleaning, carpets are replaced.

She said, “oh I just got done cleaning your room” Both my wife and I commented when we got into the room, “that was weird did she want a tip or what?”  Knowing what I know now we think she just took a $50 bill from the billfold that was in the backpack and got nervous.

Had to wait nearly 2 hours to  check in because rooms not cleaned yet.

My room had not been cleaned thoroughly prior to my stay.

although they did give ups fresh towels as we had used ours twice due to lack of cleaning before.

No hotel employees were wearing masks including the front desk employee (and no plexiglass barrier between employee and guests) and a housekeeper was in and out of guest rooms and the hallways with no mask.

My room was dirty - the floor was not clean- and the maid service didn’t even leave clean towels or make my bed neatly!

Noise levels at night were loud and maid service was not completed as expected.

The laundry appliance hasn’t been cleaned and there was rust and dust all over the water valves.

I did not appreciate walking by a room, with my three young children, and hearing the housekeepers use “vagina” at least three times. Really?!?!

Also a very distinct odor in the bathroom left us wondering when it had been cleaned.

I just wasn't pleased that housekeeping was at our door before 9:00 am to clean our room.

One was above a mirror which made no sense why it was there and why it was not cleaned.

Some of the housekeeping people don't speak English, so getting a roll of toilet paper can be a challenge.

The absolute most disgusting place I have ever attempted to stay.

When they clean the bathroom they tuck the shower curtain into some rails in the tub and so it doesn't dry out and gets sour/mildew smelly.

Loud party next door with lots of pot smoking until 3:00 am.

It smelled like pee and there was dirt and debris everywhere.

They allow smoking right outside the front door so you must walk through it to get in.

Don't stay here the hotel is so dirty and nasty!

If it is a nonsmoking hotel, they should enforce that rule.

I didn’t have to light a candle the way I do with some hotels to cover odors left by previous guests.

The room smelled horrible, wasn’t aware they allowed pets, our fault for not reading throughly.

This room was not clean:the odor of pets was palpable.

The laundry room smells like straight piss.

The room had a strong smell of food and we found that disgusting.

Just use the other exits if you want to avoid the smoke fog in the front entrance.

All in all this place is disgusting if I were you I would sleep in my car or shell out some more cash for a decent actual hotel.

Second time was slightly disappointing-grimy shower basic in walk-in shower, burned French toast at breakfast.

Pull out mattress had rusty and molding springs coming through the mattress and stained.
