Our sinks backed up twice and black soot/dirt was in our sinks.

The next room had something odd dripping down the side of the trash can in the bath.

but when I got to my room I rushed to get  a shower, only to find no water pressure.

but needs new pillows and bathrooms need a remodel.

Back of toilet completely filthy and disgusting.

Sheets are stained, pillows are yellowed with drool stains on them, air conditioner/heater door would not close, mirrors are dirty, carpet dirty.

I jumped up, looked around and saw the side table had crumbs and some stains from like a beverage and then the sink had also not been cleaned.

Nasty bathroom with tiny scratch towels and sink faucet that leaked if you turned it on too high.

.except it was obvious that the guest before us had a type of explosive bowel movement in the toilet, as there were splatters over the bowl, inside and out.

but not really a big deal, the dog hair in the room was another issue, it was all over the carpet so it got tracked into the bathroom and set off my wife's allergies.

There were many things in the room that were broken, in closing the toilet, standing water in the sink, and the phone!

The not-so-good:  wrinkled bed linens and some with holes, stains in the carpet, high priced drinks in the restaurant bar (even during "Happy Hour"), cleanliness issues with the room (a dessicated piece of pasta on the chair and bathroom grout in desperate need of restoration/ bleaching) and slow drains in both sinks and bathtub.

We needed the toilet plunged and had to ask a second time because it was not done during the time we were away from our room.

Nope, we were put in an old building across the parking lot from the main building away from all the amenities and qualities of the main building.

The sinks drain was stuck closed so the sink would fill when used.

For the travelers who complained about noisy air conditioners, get a life or learn about AC units.

And I DESPISE those awful, drizzly shower heads.

The floor tiles in the bathroom were cracked, The art was worse than none at all.

Just a nice clean hotel, with necessary amenities and friendly staff.

The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful.

The room was better than we expected and every person we met was friendly, polite and willing to go above and beyond.

The staff was very helpful, friendly and professional.

It had a buffet for breakfast and the gal who was working was very friendly.

Place was clean,service was friendly and breakfast was delicious.

The meal was very good, the service friendly and the shower at the sport center across from the hotel after the float was most welcome.

I called the second time and someone came to put something down the drain.

A quick summary is; hairs on all bedding, hair on bathroom floor and on toilet, mold in shower grout, toilet seat was in need of replacement, cobwebs behind the door with bugs suspended, and thick dust and debris on the headboard.

After sleeping on a worn mattress with very little 'give' smelling of farts and B.O., the truckers seem to be driving by with their jake brakes shortly after 4am.

One of the shuttle drivers was wearing a uniform shirt that smelled like it hadn't been washed in a week.

Also, people with animals should be put in smoking rooms or designate a separate floor/area for them.

However, I didn't like using either as the local paper plant emits such a foul smell (combination of rotten eggs and boiled cabbage) that I found it almost impossible to spend any time outdoors.

My toddler found candy in 1 room  and nasty earplugs in the other, the pool was nasty and the hot tub had gross black stuff floating in it after you turned it on, the elevator doors kept sticking and the plans for the wedding were constantly stressful because of them not doing what they said

Indoor pool is at an aquatic center next door-jacuzzi was broken & water was disgusting!

We stayed in a remote section of the hotel that was apparently the former "smoking" section.

but it was covered in red and black mold at the bottom.

A few broken lamps with broken nasty shades.

Lena (another bartender) was super efficient and lovely.

As a current Director of Housekeeping it really feels like everyone  including the GM dropped the ball and will keep me from staying here again.

The staff is excellent and the location is great.

BUT for $5 you can get a pass from the front desk for the huge gym across the parking lot! Hotel Restaurant & bar (w/ live music!!)

The people at the front desk were so courteous.

I now have a dispute filed with my credit card company.

We were traveling with an EV and I had to go to the Port of Clarkston office (on the opposite side of Walmart) to charge my car.

The lady from the front desk came charging out towards us and said 'USE THE HOT TUB AT YOUR OWN RISK" AND THREW OPEN THE DOOR AND WALKED AWAY.

A 3 night stay resulted in $120 extra charges on the bill.

At check out staff couldn't explain to me why I was charged two different rates for my two nights stay and no one would correct it.

Avoid the suite entirely, total rip off, you can't sleep on the so called sofa bed and they'll still charge you the next day!

Most especially, do not be tempted by the lure of "suites" which are billed as "unique loft rooms" suitable for families.

For some reason our key cards were a problem, the wifi didn't work well even when I hard lined my laptop I still had problems with the connection.

I reserved with my credit card for late arrival and my reservation was still cancelled!!

but used a $25 credit I havd to reduce the price.

Fortunately we were charged only the normal dog fee at checkout.

We wanted real wine glasses, she delivered, we needed a wine bottle opener, she delivered, we need stamps for our post cards, she delivered.

I advised we were about 45 minutes away, and did she need a card to hold the rooms?

The staff was extremely friendly, the breakfast had eggs, potatoes, oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, etc as well as some delicious biscuits and gravy.

The morning front desk person is great, super friendly, a lot of local information.

The front desk staff were friendly and helpful in sharing knowledge about local restaurants.

The staff at check in and check out was friendly and helpful.

Nice and clean with very friendly personnel.

It is a Very clean,  quiet,  friendly and comfortable.

Front desk gal Dyan was great, very friendly and informative on the area.

We like the location, the suite with a separate bedroom, delicious breakfast and friendly staff.

The free breakfast was fantastic, pool & hot tub area is perfect to lounge around, and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful.

All so the drain handle on the tub was loose and that was fixed with in an hour all so and Maintenance staff was so polite and friendly.

All the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and made our stay very enjoyable.

Pleasant stay - staff helpful and friendly; rooms clean, quiet and spacious; breakfast gets a 10/10 , - good variety, especially the hot items, and well presented.

The staff is helpful and friendly and they go out of their way to assist.

Upon arrival it looks very dated and smells old and musty, We entered the room the carpets were filthy and smelled of stale cigarettes and mold.

Unfortunately, their smoke filled our room.

Breathing Formaldahyde and acetaldehyde is not one of my favorite things to do

With the late arrival parking was a little challenging and there was a faint odor around the pool,

however there was a musty odour in the room.

We stayed in a "pet friendly" room that had such a stale odor I had to sleep with a scarf around my nose!

the smell when the door to the room was open was old, dingy.

At 15 minutes after midnight, the battery in the smoke alarm malfunctioned and started beeping.

The 1st floor room they gave us smelled bad.

Unfortunately that room smelled like a sewer.

Strong odor in room unfortunately probably from carpet/furnishings absorbing outdoor pulp-mill-like odor.

We found a urine soaked wash rag neatly folded on the shelf under the others  as we were packing to leave and the breakfast was lacking half the choices and made my tummy upset.

It smelled bad from the local paper mill and the entire river front seemed to be all industrial and not pretty at all.

5 - The smell of the room makes hit necessary to bring a bottle of Febreeze or similar.

The air smells a bit like a sugar beet factory area,

but there's nothing they can do to eliminate the stale smell of smoke.

Upon arrival I was warmly greeted by a fine gentleman who gave me exemplary service.

They are very dishonest and I recommend staying elsewhere in Clarkston not here!

Also, when I asked for wine glasses, they had them at the front desk.

The staff goes out of their way to make you feel comfortable and at home.

The staff at this location is fantastic, they work really hard to meet your needs.

There were holes in the curtains and they were so dusty.

Either one has to have the drapes pulled at all times, or be open to the 'world' walking by.

My room window had view of pedestrian aisle, so the curtain remained closed all the time.

The sliding glass door in our second-story "suite" opened onto a common exterior walkway that is a busy thoroughfare around the interior courtyard and pool area, so you can't open your curtains lest you become a zoo exhibit for the staff and other guests, one of whom actually stopped and watched us unpack for a moment.

but could definitely use new carpets & drapes.

If I had a window to look out, it would only be of a street.

But, you look out on it through a sliding glass door that is the only window in the room.

The lighting didn't help that much - it was a bit dark until we opened the curtains.

I wish there had been more than just dark curtains

A very nice, well-maintained property with professional, friendly staff.

Their hotel staff were friendly and understanding and helped us accommodate the change.

All of the staff are exceptionally friendly and accommodating

The location is convenient, the staff are friendly, and the hotel is nicely maintained.

The staff was super friendly and helpful and the rooms are clean and nice and the whole place has a nice vibe with all of the amenities such as coffee tea and sometimes even fresh cookies that were offered.

We were greeted by friendly staff when we arrived.

The GOOD: The outside was clean and manicured, the lobby seemed clean as well and the clerk was friendly, the location is convenient and they have a great northern view of the hills.

Every staff member we interacted with went above and beyond - fast friendly and attentive.

Super friendly staff that helped us pick dinner places and the room was big!

Everyone from the front desk to the housekeeping staff to the shuttle driver are alway nice, friendly and courteous.

Clean, friendly,  comfy beds, good air conditioning,  complimentary lite  breakfast.

Suggest a room freshener as the room air was a bit stale.

The BAD: The shower had several areas of significant mold/mildew, the exhaust fan didn't work, there were fingerprints on the headboard frame and the AC/Heater unit was filthy (the front of the unit had not been wiped down in quite awhile and the filters appeared to have not been cleaned for months).

The only issue was that Lewiston itself really smells, there is a paper pulp plant in the town and it gives off a horrific odor when running, we wouldn't have minded so much if we didn't have the air on.

The drain plug in the bathroom was difficult.

The one other thing you might want to note, and which took us by surprise, was to find a very strange, unpleasant smell in our bedroom.

This door didn't close tightly and with poor ventilation in bathroom, bad odors from bathroom could be smelled in bedroom.

Each room I had the duvet smelled like old sweat.

but we chose the fourth floor with a view room and we’re quite surprised when we went to open the huge wall of drapes the cover of entire wall only to find one tiny window that was filthy dirty and was near impossible to even see from.

Also, 3rd floor has a chemical-plastic smell.

They did a sliding door for the bathroom; this reduces privacy in terms of odor seepage and, frankly, I find them annoying.

The hotel sits on the hill where we seemed to escape the smell of   the pulp mill.

but not the last…We were well treated by the staff, the room was clean and scenic (we asked for a river view).

but I wanted to say this place & the staff were absolutely wonderful.

Bobby greeted everyone each morning with his beautiful smile.

We were in the lobby waiting to be notified.

The staff were really nice and very helpful and it was really nice and quiet at night.

to the comfort of the room, including how quiet the rooms were, in spite of a large womens' conference, sports teams, etc.

Grateful to each of these employees for the million-gold-star treatment.

I saw this hotel was new and in a primo location with easy access to main roads and a wide variety of restaurants which the gentleman working the front desk made several great recommendations.

The staff helped us with dinner ideas among other things.

We chose remote key entry which worked perfect until we needed to turn on the room lights which required a door key, so we still needed to go to the Front Desk, defeating the purpose.

Do not like the short (regular) toilets and small view windows in room.

but unfortunately, the windows are very tiny.

I paid more for a room with a river view, and was disappointed that because of "energy efficiency," the window was narrower than the width of the AC/Heat unit, and not a whole lot taller.

The shower didn't have a shower curtain that would intrude into your shower.

I only wish they had a  jacuzzi spa by the indoor pool, and that the windows in the rooms were larger.

The window shades completely blocked out all light.

however I was shocked to see one small window in the room and the other sides of the curtains was a wall.

Hampton Inn Lewiston

The staff were friendly and service excellent.

The staff was really friendly and helpful, so we will be returning here for a weekend getaway since it was such a great stay.

The rooms were recently updated with many USB and power outlets, clean, well maintained, open hot tub (pool closed for winter), accommodating staff, friendly hotel bar in lobby, on site restaurant, nice riverfront location, walking distance to Wal Mart and downtown Clarkston… Room servicing was a-la-carte.

The staff (front desk, restaurant, housekeeping) was friendly and professional.

However, it was very clean and the staff was friendly.

Staff friendly, clean roon, quiet,   close to river walk paths, driving range you walk too.

The staff was friendly and attentive, even while being busy.

Staff very friendly and helpful and grounds very nice (swimming pool, golf driving range, exercise room).

Checking in was easy and staff were friendly.

Breakfast was good, servers very friendly and efficient.

All staff in the hotel were very, very friendly.

The staff were friendly and the breakfast was exceptional.

Kudos to the kind and friendly housekeepers and maintenance staff who obviously take great pride in their work.

The lobby and halls have been updated, rooms are a bit musty and dated.

but the smoke from Canadian forest fires limited visibility.

In addition, there was an awful odor on one side of the bed.

but the room they gave us was musty smelling.

If your a smoker DO NOT go to quality inn in clarkston

Plus I room smelled like water at that head been sitting out for a while, plus I requested a roll away bed and they brought me in air mattress.

My nonsmoking room smelled of smoke and was very musty.

In my opinion some people are expecting a lot for a "budget motel" if your want to stay at a 5 star hotel then stay at one, and don't complain about the paper mill smell.

The only positive was the friendly staff and they said they'd look into the smell.

The room was small and cramped and there was a stranger odor of some sort

but where the window frame meets to tub it looks like dark black mold.

The towels were thin,the lamps were old style with the switches up under the shade, and minimal # of electrical wall outlets, 4 very small pillows on a king bed, and sewer gas smell in the stair well.

Unfortunately room 223 smelled like smoke

There showers and tubs and filthy I have on many time complained to the management.

There is a nasty smell most of the time as there is a pulp mill nearby.

$104/night for two people, two queens, non-smoking.

You'll smell that anywhere you stay in town.

They were able to find a room and we were appreciative of that.

The staff was great and upbeat, the food was really good.

The other hotel staff were outstanding as well.

It was extremely clean, the bed was perfect, the bathroom and shower were perfect, and the staff was wonderful.
