Would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a nice break in a clean room!

The room was clean and as silent as possible close to the centre.

Rooms spotless, staff very friendly & helpful, great breakfast.

The rooms were very clean with comfortable beds that offered a great night sleep; & great air conditioning after a warm day in the sun.

Housekeeper maintained our room impeccable every day.

Lovely relaxed atmosphere and extremely clean rooms.

Room was spotless, cold still & sparkling water replenished daily at no extra charge, in glass water bottles so no plastic waste (thumbs up).

The hotel is fabulous with super clean rooms.

The staff were really friendly in particular Maria our first contact.Lovely clean rooms with good linen and a great attention to detail with lots of little extras included including a useful fridge.The location could not be much better being a very short walk from the station(which is were the 210 express bus drops you from Nice airport) also the seafront is a short walk as is the old town.

Our room was very clean, air conditioned, quiet and the beds were comfortable.

I am not so much into the charm of old Hotels with small rooms and tiny bathrooms, so would normally have given 3 stars.

Me and my boyfriend's luggage barely fit in the room and the bathroom was as small and as dark as a closet.

butts and could do with a bit of painting.

The bathrooms are a tad on the dirty side as well with mold starting to grow in between the tiles and splash marks on the mirrors and walls.

The rooms are all non smoking and the lady at the front desk did not care nor did she ask them to stop smoking/investigate so I had to live with it.

The only slight criticism would be the that the tiling in the shower needed re grouting as a lot of it was mouldy.

or obviously replacing unwanted food (absolutely disgusting), left me feeling ashamed to be from the same country.

The only downside for us was that our room always smelled of cigarette smoke.

but these were slightly larger, had the rounded front, charming details (herringbone wood floors, ceiling moldings).

Who would have thought since breathing costs you about 10 cents each breath in this country.

The two negative things I can think of is that we had to remove the drain cover from our bathroom sink in order for the water to drain, and our showerhead spewed water until my boyfriend fixed it.

All in all Cannes was expensive and many of the people there filthy rich.

From the nauseating smell of burning candles downstairs to snobby staff who clearly hates Americans, this is not a place to stay in Cannes.

NB: there are stairs and no lift between 6th and 7th floor.

The major issues I had is the elevator and the room.

The room is  directly  next to the tiny lift.

The room was on the 4th floor via lift with a balcony at the front of the building overlooking attractive garden.

The room and especially the bathroom were a lot bigger, and it had a nice terrace, BUT no elevator, very hot (the air con was just not strong enough), strange smell and a very "rustic" design (steps in the whole room, so you have to pay attention with every step).

One lift for the hotel that could be quite slow and we stayed on the 5th floor.

Lift fits two people with small trolleys.

The owner was on duty when we checked out on the Sunday and whilst waiting for the lift to the airport, he gave my wife a truffle oil spray for salads; a simple

Well, the elevator is extremely slow, the madrasses are a bit too hard for my taste, and it would have been a nice gesture to have free WI-FI access in the room.

Lift is too slow as mentioned on naother review.

As mentioned in a previous review the lift is painfully slow and the lower floors are best reached by foot!

needing a room---my first call was the Hotel de Provence to see if they had a room---and they did---so I took a taxi back from Nice airport and checked into room 55, which was a charming, small room on the backside of the hotel (no great view).

The rooms are tiny, so choose a room facing the garden which has a balcony.

However, the room was quite small and a tad claustrophobic.

The parking is terribly difficult, breakfast was very minimal and the rooms are very small even by European standards.

Although a beautiful room with a garden terrace the room itself was very small and pokey as was the shower room and toilet and the walls/ doors were so thin you could hear every noise - the telephone at reception would ring and felt it was in the room with you.

A booking confirmed with a credit card should be a binding contract.

It’s one my extremely bad experiences at JW Marriott , if you are a loyal member or you have titanium or Ambassador status  with Bonvoy program do go their , or even you think to use some of your points , this hotel like only cash payment or open credit , it’s very disappointing and it’s now to be back, they charge half of the original room price extra because of sea view room and they even they don’t upgrade my room, note that booked my room 150 days ago.

Because if you need to charge a phone , you have to unplug the lamp at night.

The only negative is the beach club, very expensive and not really affiliated with the Marriott, you cannot charge to your room nor do you get any discount for staying at the hotel.

but the smoking smell in the room like hell we couldn’t sleep at night cz of that smell and specially at night I don’t know if from the AC or from the lobby , what I know it’s désastre , there mattress should be changed when u sleep u feel u want to run to the middle of the mattress 
Even I’m a member in jw but I found that in 2022 still jw charge there customers 10 euro for the internet , seriously where are we in which year guys , anyways u guys should act fast and do some professional step to be able to survive

two males enter the room to make up the bed and whilst I am sitting in the corner charging my phone which was by this point ‘completely out of battery’, one of the males looks at me, leans over me with his finger pointed in my face and shouts “no telephones and no videos” I’m sure you can imagine my complete and utter shock at both this and his threatening behaviour.

If you try to get an answer from them why they overcharged you they just ignore you.

There was a white ticket on the tray which I did not take…I just took the cutlery…I sincerely hope it was there was not a charge.

Double check the bill and informed them for the charges to be voided.

The hotel graciously let me check out without penalty, charging me only for the one night I was there after I said I wasn’t happy with the hotel.

but unless you complain at reception they want to charge you for WiFi outrageous liberty and €6 for a soft drink in mini bar is too much?!!

Rooms does not offer sufficient outlets to charge your telephones, iPads, PC.

I'm certainly not impressed by the JW Marriott, CANNES,FR and they should NOT be charging the rates that they do!

but its okay Mr. Fadi Sursock sent us a fruit plate to the room and a card which was a very nice idea, sadly we had to eat the fruits like barbarians with not cutlery.

but no bananas and requested for it but charge us extra for this request.

As PP, I had to have multiple conversations with the staff to inform them of the Marriott Rewards amenities so that I wasn't charged.

Budget travellers  beware on arrival at the hotel the receptionist will ask for your credit card and 'block' the card at the rate of 100 euros per night for incidentals i.e.

but its means absolutely nothing, because all hotels that have the beach (e.g., Carlton, Martinez) charge in-house guests extra for the beach use.

To me it's very wrong for a hotel to make a mistake and change the rate unilaterally.

This hotel has absolutely no right to charge the same nightly Rate as its neighboring properties.

but what they fail to mention is the beach is a private club in which you must pay to use.

Al thought at first it seemed a bit pricey, once I arrived I felt differently.

My only complaint is the cost for a chaise lounge at the beach is extremely expensive and exorbitant.

I paid over 1500 euros a night and would never in my wildest dreams think that they are so greedy that they need to come up with extra charges for things you don’t have ordered or used and refuses to leave an explanation or anything.

though I had requested and paid for a bigger) physically stank.

We had to pay a very expensive rate at the private beach club next to the hotel instead.

I am really pleased we added breakfast on at the time of booking as paying at the hotel did work out more expensive €22 per person at the hotel.

I told the receptionist it is crazy as e online rates are cheaper to book.

I absolutely would not expect that with the prices charged at the hotel.

I’ve stayed in JW Marriott resorts around the world and, unfortunately, I have to rate this hotel as poor, nearly terrible.

The rooms were ‘ok’ and that is not great for a hotel of this price.

We had to haul a 30kg bag up two floors without the offered help..

the room we had was very small, 
pigeons scuttle around (the otherwise very good) breakfast buffet
a member of staff tried to charge us for the breakfast which was, in our case, included.

It does not have a lift so I would advise to pack a lite suitcase!

Rooms are small and stair cases are narrow - which only adds to the cozy atmosphere.

In my case, the only disadvantage was no breakfast in my offer.

There was no elevator and we had to lug our large suitcases up narrow staircases to the third floor which for 1 night was a bit of a struggle.

Of note, there is no lift (must carry suitcases,

and her charming son Dorian was very helpful in carrying up our heavy bags to a first floor room as there is no elevator.

Sadly there is no lift so you have to carry your own bags up the stairs.

We had a great time and would be sure to return

Only negative: bring light bags. .we had to carry our 23 kg bags up 3 flights of stairs :) But all worth it in the end, and we needed the exercise after all the great food we ate there :)

If you have heavy suitcases it is a huge mission to get them up the stairs.

If you are on the third floor then carting up heavy suitcases is a bit of an ordeal.

There is no one there to carry your bags up the steps so I don't recommend this hotel for senior citizens.

Communication beforehand was very good--let us know the code to get in when arriving on Sunday--and they even left a note for us in case we didn't get the email.

Keep in mind that if you cannot climb stairs that it does not have an elevator.

Only thing i could complain about is the lack of elevator and narrow staircase.

We didn’t mind that there is no elevator,

Yes, the rooms are on the small size,

but the rooms are tiny (we had a superior double, and I'd hate to see a standard) and there's no lift or staff to help with the bags.

There is no lift/elevator so be ready to carry your bags up a couple of flights of stairs.

So if you have problems with walking in stairs you might want to  consider another hotel.

but the stairs are wide enough to go up and down and I did not mind the 3 flights of stairs (this was for a top floor room and it was quiet because of the extra door between your room and the hallway).

but you must hike up three flights of stairs to enjoy it.

but with a hotel of this size it's not a problem at all unless one physically cannot climb stairs.

There are stairs if mobility is an issue.

Also, be advised that there is no elevator and all of the rooms are up at least one flight of stairs.

Due to space limitations, the hotel does not have an elevator, and my husband grumbled a little about having to pull our bags up three flights of stairs.

(Just a note, we have to take the stairs to get to our room.

however, it does not have a lift and there are a lot of stairs - so you have been warned.

My room was on the second floor so walking up a flight of stairs was not an issue.
