The carpet was filthy, the shower tub had hair on the floor and there was enough dirty nasty hair on the bathroom floor to make a wig.

The shower was broke it was shooting water on the ceiling.

Can't speak for amenities as don't use them.

The lighting in the bathroom could have been better, and the shower head in the tub was not adjustable.

At one point I had to run to my car for some toiletries.

Don't even get me started about the water pressure in the shower. Amazing!.

I was not greeted with amenity points or check out assured of the issues that were caused.

but some of the interior is starting to show age (carpeting, shower curtains).

although the bath towel I used was getting threadbare and felt stiff from many launderings.

The only problem was the shower, the tub did not drain fast.

but between the fuel plaza and the hotel amenities, I don't see where you really need anything else for a travel stop.

When we arrived we were given an handicapped-accessible king room without the spa bath.

There was one lonely shampoo bottle on the counter and the toilet would only flush if you stood there and held the handle down the entire flushing time, we almost had a need for a plunger at one point. The refrigerator was missing the bottom door rack and a door to the "freezer."

One problem I had was that the dead bolt door lock did not engage and the bathroom fan did not work.

The fitness center is the size of a bathroom and reaks of mold not to mention the equipment is completely outdated.

Watery eggs,  microwaved rubber sausage patties,  make your own waffles and a selection of toast.

Breakfast was decent, the staff was helpful the couple times I interacted with them.

The breakfast area was full of many choices and all were fresh and there was plenty of room for many people.

Staff was very friendly , our room was very clean and we felt very safe 
 We had a coffee which is complimentary  and was very good ,although we did not stay for breakfast 
The hotel does offer complimentary breakfast with your stay.

Breakfast was better than most and the place was quiet.

Not to many places to eat in the area Breakfast was decent with lots of choices including hot items.

Hot breakfast included in the stay which included hot waffles, sausage, eggs and sausage gravy.

The breakfast was was well stocked and everything kept in order.

Everything was great; clean room, reasonable price, friendly staff, and full hot breakfast.

Breakfast to go was two prepackaged high carb muffins, a granola bar, water and a green orange.

We were impressed with the French Oast at breakfast, had not seen that before at BW, and sanitizer there as well.

The room was very clean, the breakfast was good.

We left before breakfast started so the delightful desk clerk made us both to-go breakfasts for the road.

I went with my family the rooms were comfy and once again the price was good, I’d say over average

but not one of them soft enough to get comfortable.

I want everyone to know she made the short time in that area comfortable under the circumstances.

The bed was extremely comfortable with lots of pillows.

but amazingly quiet, and we felt safe and comfortable.

rooms are a nice size and beds are comfy.

but because the area is rather quiet, we will have a great good sleep on the comfortable bed.

This hotel had a great staff and very comfortable beds.

We chose Best Western because they have a reputation for being clean and comfortable.

We stopped here as it was conveniently located off the highway, we really enjoy the hotel, room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was great and well taken care of by Kyle, he was awesome and took great care of us.

There are no restaurants nearby other than the truck stop next door.

The pool door can be pushed to open, no latch or any other safety measures to keep kids out.

Lots of door slamming by other guests and a herd of elephants wa sin the room above us marching after midnight,  Skip the free breakfast and go next door to Duncan Donuts or McDonalds.

The noise only stopped when one of the people next door to us left that room to go back to their own room.

She proceeded to tell me the door never locks.

I also had a privacy sign on my door so that it wouldn't be disturbed,

The night clerk came up,  knocked on their door and even called them with no response.

but, this hotel stays on top of their house cleaning and when i got to our room and opened the door there was no smell of smoke and that was really great.

We smelled the smoking next door through the night.

It would've been nicer if the prep room door wasn't open and I didn't have to see where the food came from.

The door to the room had a large gap so that you could see out to the hallway near the bottom edge,

It was so nice to have a reservation when the sign on the door said NO Vacancies.

The next morning, we received a knock on our door at about 8:30 am.

Then they gave us a key to the room next door so we could use the bathroom and take a shower cause we couldn't use the toilet or shower in our room.

Walked up to our room after check-in and there were trash bags all up and down the hallway in front of every door.

but I think they could use more help cleaning rooms --- other than that -- and the door to the room leaking light in  due to big gap around door jam -- it was good for the price and location.

The staff is very friendly, helpful and polite.

The manager on duty was very accommodating, even called the police for us to make a report I had a room ready for us within a half hour

The room was immaculate, the bed comfy and we got just the rest we needed to be on the road the next day.

Also, housekeeping was very thorough cleaining and sanitizing the rooms!

The front desk made sure the room was available for us and our check in was quick and easy.

The hotel was super clean and our room was spotless.

The price was outstanding for what we got, the staff were sweet and very accomadating and our room was clean, no issues.

We stopped on our drive down to FL with our young children and we’re given room “201.” We walked in at 11PM into a room that smelled like cat urine and dog feces.

There was a bad odor in room refrigerator so we wrapped our leftovers extra well so the odor would not transfer.

The only negative I would note is that the gravy was cold. Yuck.

The gym is extremely small and stinky, the opening hours do not fit for business people.

The 3rd floor near the elevator smelled heavily of cigar smoke.

but i get a headache and can't sleep due to the smell of smoke. This is a great place to stay even for a night or a week they also have a "Great Continiental Breakfast!"

Upon entering, my nose was assaulted by the pool smell.

The chair in our room was filthy with huge stains on it, I've seen cleaner furniture at a frat house.

Room was just filthy and linens dirty, never will stay there again, left first in the morning , absolutely not 3.5 rating.We did not complain because we arrived around 1015 pm and it was late , just wanted to take a good nap.

Reservations set us up with a handicapped room which was not what we needed, we asked for a non smoking room.

Someone left the window open on my third floor room and a fire down the road brought smoke smell into the room.

The place smelled bad like mildew and beds very poor condition, security was a problem.

As for the positives, the staff has always been very nice and attentive.

The Hotel was good for the price the staff were very kind and happy to help.

Staff went out of the way to exceed our expectations.

There is a suspect known to the hotel staff that cruises through the hotel parking lot looking for things to steal.

With some sprucing up and classes in hospitality for the staff it could be so much better.

Front desk was very courteous and helpful both in the evening check-in and morning check-out.

All of the staff/associates were very nice and especially to a lady in housekeeping named Rachel.

Will now make Best Western our choice to stay when traveling.

It is half way between NY and Fla.  We will definately stay again in our travels.

My boyfriend and I were traveling up from FL on 95 and this was right off the highway being super convenient.

Best Western has become my default 1-night-stay hotel over the last 2 years, whether personal or business travel..  Only 2 idiosyncrasies: (1) Room keys must be reprogrammed if key gets too close to I-phone.

A friend was stranded during her travels due to Hurricane Florence.

Excellent stop for the night after a long day of travel.

Recommend for all travelers for short or long term stay.

I would rate this last stay an "excellent" value for your traveling dollar.

All the breakfast menus were spectacular.

but the meals (breakfast and dinner) were just average while they were exceptional under the old owner.

I highly recommend the inn for its accommodations and its wonderful dinners and breakfast.

No worries, the dinner and breakfast were awesome and the service was top notch.

The Inn is beautiful and the food is delicious and the room so well appointed.

The dinner was exquisite and the breakfast was delicious; both served in a lovely enclosed porch.

And the included hot breakfast and optional dinner were really award-winning meals that rival what you would find in the best restaurants around the world.

The  six course fixe prix menu was delicious,  lovely presentations, served by friendly, attentive servers, and boasted a small

also set menu - scrambled eggs w herbs de provence, french toast soaked in grand marnier, maple sausage, juices, tea/coffee.

Breakfast was delicious each day with multiple juice choices, fresh, ripe fruit, code and something hot, freshly prepared by someone who knows what they are doing.

We sat at the same table for breakfast ( quiche/sausage/fruit) that was beautifully presented on fine breakfast china.

And our breakfast was a wonderful send-off as we climbed back into the SUV for the balance of our trip.

Ample parking out front and you can charge your EV too.

Breakfast was stunning and worth the visit.

but the Inn matches up with other similar style B&B's throughout the US.

We enjoyed a fantastic 6 course dinner in a peaceful environment.

Everything was well restored and very clean.

Looking for a stopping point on the hectic way northward on I-95, we found this property and it seemed to hit all the notes for us: historic property, charm and good food and drink.

From the relaxing atmosphere, evening cocktails, excellent food and first-class service, it was perfect.

Our stay at Abingdon Manor felt like a mini-vacation in the middle of our journey,

The inn is beautifully decorated and meticulously maintain with an eye to preserving it's historic past.

The rooms are huge and beautifully decorated.

I recommend the Abingdon Manor for lovers of the Victorian era and those who appreciate old fashioned style, fashion and the more formal manners of a refined inn.

A perfect dinner and atmosphere to celebrate our anniversary!

It is very elegant from the grounds to the table settings for breakfast and dinner.

The estate was elegantly comfortable inside and out.

The elegance of fine dining in our room even made social distancing slightly romantic for these weary travelers.

The inn is in Latta SC, about 10 minutes off I-95, in a wonderfully restored 1900s mansion.

Pleased to report it is still exceptional in terms of decor, interior upkeep, grounds / property maintenance and cuisine.

Dinner was elegant and delicious, the main course was North Carolina flounder in a shallot cream sauce and was the tastiest fish dinner I have ever had.

With all the too do's of a wedding everyday was a relaxing rejuvenation in my private, well-decorated, quiet "Red Room" for the next day's events.

We were able to spend three nights and it was a very quiet and relaxing time.

It really was a perfectly relaxing weekend stay.

Just 5 miles off of I-95, its so convenient and such a beautiful retreat from our busy lives!

My mother had passed away and we needed needed a quiet peaceful nice place to stay.

We stayed at the Abingdon Manor Inn on the way back north and it was perfect- restful and lovely.

He’s a true gentleman who made our visit relaxing and pleasurable.

The Abington Manor was a wonderful, restful oasis after traveling 8 hours on Rt.

The Inn and grounds were so peaceful, comfortable and relaxing.

My night there gave me the one night's peaceful sleep I needed before encountering the situation at my house.

The manor is beautiful and we enjoyed rocking on the front porch and after dark we sat on the porch upstairs enjoying the peaceful surroundings.

but peaceful town of Latta,South Carolina we realized the ratings were justified.

I would HIGHLY recommend Abingdon Manor if you are looking for a nice peaceful getaway.

When you first drive onto the property, it is immediately relaxing.

Incidentally as others have said the village of Latta has really easy access to I-95, a great advantage and super relaxing after a long drive.

We will gladly return to this conveniently located Four Star Inn just off 95 in Latta, SC

We just wanted something peaceful and relaxing.

Porches, both upper and lower are perfect for relaxing before dinner.

I could not bring myself to eat the entree or dessert.

Great place to stay and eat in beautiful Latta, SC.

Wife and I have eaten here many times over the years and were curious to see if the food was as good with the new owner.

In addition to being a stunning home that was built in the early 1900’s the restaurant in the home is outstanding.

Huge bathroom!Cocktails were prepared by the owner followed by dinner in the glassed in dining porch.
