This hotel has a central heating system that cannot be effectively controlled from inside the guest room.

Known problems with the thermostat caused the AC unit to constantly switch off of A/C and to heat.

Room was dirty (stained sheets,dead bugs behind fridge) and ac was non working and felt stuffy.Low shower head pressure.

Our air conditioning in the room did not work at all, it got up to 76 even with the window open on a chilly spring evening.

We also wished that there were instructions to control the thermostat.

I didn't turn on the air conditioning as it was cold.

The staff blamed it on an old central heating and cooling system.

They claimed they do not run the AC in the winter.

No room AC, had to sleep with window open, which was loud.

There is no AC in the rooms our room was 80.

The Subway in back will save you time waiting in line though. CONS: They an emergency A/C repair scheduled for the 2nd night I would be there--notice was that there'd be no A/C (summer in Vegas!)

Not a fan of the nickel and diming of resort fees.

We contacted the desk at first they sent someone up and determined it was broke then we was informed it was not in fact broke that the system will not run AC if the heat is on in the whole building.

the only issue we had was with the AC not working 100%

We couldn’t control the thermostat in our room, so we couldn’t get the room temperature to our liking.

The AC unit also is a joke as it didn’t work.

They got the fan to turn on in neutral/fan only.

We picked the Casino Royale since it was located in a great location and they don't charge for parking and resort fees.

Just back from our 1st vacation in Las Vegas and had a great time at Casino Royale.

The Casino Royale is in the middle of the action.

Casino Royale is a great place to stay and play in the middle of the strip.

Best Western Plus Casino Royale was our choice and we weren't disappointed.

Casino Royale is in the perfect location on the strip. It's so easy to park the car (for free!)

BWP Casino Royale Center Strips Had a very good location that come with free parking.

Best Western Plus Casino Royale -  Center Strip was a wonderful surprise to my husband and I.

The Casino Royale was always a nice place to stay and offered good price rooms and the gambling was good.

If you want to stay on the Las Vegas Strip without paying the prices of those famous high-rise hotels, the Best Western Casino Royale is the place for you!

We had enjoyed our prior stay at BW Casino Royale and it remains a good place to lay your head.

Responsive noise from the corridor penetrates the room, a lot of running in the corridor which made it difficult to get undisturbed sleep.

even though we declined housekeeping (in which case are supposed to call whenever you need anything), rooms were quiet, heard nothing from adjacent rooms or hallway that earplugs couldn't handle.

It was a long hallway to my room so ask for a lower number room if walking is difficult.

The hallways smelled disgusting every time we walked down it, like rotten garbage.

One morning, when I opened the bedroom door, there was a strange drunk in the hallway, and two policemen.

~Had to run the air/heat system to block out occasional hallway noise of people talking/closing doors.

They gave me a room near the mid hallway elevator.

Only after the complaints were made,they offered a room at the end of the hall.

Every 60-90 minutes throughout the ENTIRE night there was VERY loud arguing, fighting, cursing, sexually explicit conversations, elicit drug use, and constant slamming of doors in the hallway immediately outside of our room.

My complaint with this hotel lies with how early housekeeping starts cleaning the hall and rooms and VERY loudly.

Room soundproof was rather poor, overheard banging of doors, footsteps and even guests chatting along the corridor.

but I could not find it using the hallway signs (not sure where it was but I gave up looking).

"Mature" talking loudly in the corridor or letting their doors slam shut during the night and in the morning.

The entire place including corridors & hotel rooms smell very, very bad.

Reception in the middle of the gaming hall which is pretty noisy.

Housekeeping staff (though very good at their job) were very noisy early each morning in the corridor, they woke me more than once during our stay,

Rooms on 100-level, which is slightly below ground level, have a damp musty basement odor.

The smell of drains from our bathroom basin was quite strong

I had to go all the way through Harrah’s unless I walked through the BW parking garage and on a stinky service street which only took a few minutes.

The odor of mold and urine was pretty intense - and together with the guy smoking up outside our window had me asking for a different room on a different floor.

We bathed in dirty water backed up from the drain for 3 days.

Room was disgusting, we got "forgot" about by housekeeping and the free night travel voucher was not honored after it had been accepted when the reservation was made.

The carpet is smelly and the sheets they must definitely be thrown away and get new ones.

Unfortunately cannot recommend Casino Royale due to bathroom uncleanliness and terrible water odor in the restroom.

The area of the hotel is not sealed off as non smoking.

Lobby rest rooms floor was nasty and unsensitized

Ended up booking Treasure Island which was 100% better the the urine smelling Casino Royale, will never attempt to stay there again or use Best Western.

In addition, there were a couple of very shady characters attempting to gain access to the pool area, and one of them got pretty nasty when my wife wouldn't let him in.

Bedding was filthy, duvet had blood on it.

Easy walk down to hard rock and back was here from 2 nd to 8th Nov  .

If you want easy walking access and comfort this is the place.

It's a short walk to the casino from the rooms.

and be able to walk to the Linq promenade, etc.

We went to a convention and it was literally a 10 min walk where we did not even have to drive and park and pay for convention fees.

but the Bellagio Fountain is about a 17-min walk.

I liked the fact that you don't have to walk a lot to get from your room to the Strip.

My conference was at Caesar Forum, so an easy indoor walk

Right on the strip and an easy walk to other casinos and food.

But for the best trip, park your car in the garage w/ security cams and go walk.

Located centrally on the strip so easy walk right onto the strip.

Very good hotel on the strip you can walk to most of the places on the strip.

GREAT location, within walking distance of the main attractions on the STRIP (Ceasar Palace 5min walk).

but its a very easy walk to the Venetian next door, or Caesars Palace across the street for more fine dining options.

we were easily able to walk across the street to meet our friends and as it was a bit chilly we could pass through Harrahs and the linq to stay warm.

~You have to walk through the smokey/noisy/busy casino to check in.

Could not get a drink in the casino as the waitress walked by so quickly you couldn’t even order.

You could not ask for a better location, as soon as you walk out of the hotel/casino you are right across from the Mirage and are in easy walking distance to other casino's.

When we first walked in our room it was very clean and smelt clean as well.

No half mile walk from our room out to the strip.

The $100 free play at Casino Royale is on a bank of fake slot machines.

Feeling happy, we went to a show then headed to the Casino Royale to gamble.

The $400 gambling money was only good at the Casino Royale and only good on their "promotional" slot machines with no possibility of winning any actual money.

There was also a note in the room to be prepared for construction noise from 9am to 6pm,

The warning sound of a construction truck backing up was heard all night long.

Cons  their was construction going on and their was a flyer for this.

I did phone and speak to Carol who so kindly said nothing we can do, the construction is at the Cosmo.

The place is dated, because of the construction we ended up with view of a wall.

.their was obviously a construction and it was tough to find the parking possibilities and if it took any longer I would've carried that car there without driving 20 minutes through that garage. .

Right now they are having construction done, which made walking in and out not so great,

The pool was not really usable - there was netting over head- I suppose to protect from nearby construction- and had very little sun.

One issue is that there is a lot of construction going on literally outside the front entrance, so you have to navigate the construction zone if you are heading for Vegas Blvd.

True, during the construction 6 years ago it was loud and inconvenient.

We hadn't been for a long time due to the construction and renovations.

The main door isn't obvious especially with the construction going on,

I would not suggest that anybody try to sleep during the day because there was some sort of construction noise that was extremely loud even on the 5th floor.

Be prepared for lots of heavy truck, bus and construction traffic on the side facing the Bellagio.

Price wise it’s a bargain with no hidden extras and there’s even a kitchen, lounge and walk in robe in each room

The Uber pick up point at the Cosmopolitan is a 2 minute walk and extremely convenient.

Tucked away and surrounded on 3 sides by Cosmopolitan casino, beside Bellagio and over the road from Planet Hollywood ( with a MacDonalds, Taco Bell-and Walgreens plus other eateries) 

So easy to walk out along the strip in the heat then quickly back to the Jockey club to cool down.

I loved the walk in closet which included plenty of hangers, ironing board, etc.

You can walk right into the Cosmopolitan casino.

Two big bedrooms - one en-suite with large walk in wardrobe, and a comfy sofa bed.

Connected to cosmopolitan and 3 minutes walk to belagio was the icing to my stay.

Bellagio next door, MGM & Venetian easy 10 to 15 minute walk.

The lobby is just a 2 min walk from the Strip and there are no resort fees.

2 large tv’s a walk in closet and free parking.

This was a solo trip and I was able to walk everywhere I wanted to go.

We actually felt like we stayed at the Cosmo cause it was so convenient to hang out there and just walk back to our room to sleep.

We parked in the Bellagio garage and walked down the strip for dinner at a marginal Mexican Restaurant skipping the 7:00 PM dinner reservation that we had at a nice restaurant.

About 50 yards fronm the strip, Walgreens across the street, tons of restaurants,we walked to see the Blue Man group.

I love their spacious walk in closets to store all the luggage and hang all our clothes.

It seemed like he was selling something so we just kept walking.

but it felt very sketchy walking out of the resort to anywhere outside other than the valet.

It was 113 and with a mask on it was still tolerable to walk across the street to the mall as well as walk to Flamingo, Caesars, and MGM Grand.

The toilet kept running every minute and was so LOUD it drowned out the TV.

We went to the front desk and she gave us a new room on the 8th floor so we went to check it out before returning to the original room; when we walked in we found crickets in the bathroom and heard the symphony of crickets!! Crazy.

Do you know they still charged us a full day with the resort fee (which offers no amenities for this bogus charge) they charge you for coffee and 2.50 for little small water bottle.

Well, the stall we were given didn't happen to align with our hookups (due to the way they wanted us to park), so we asked to move to another vacant space where we could connect too the services.

Had to switch rooms because the shower head was only about 5’6” high.

In room 1515 their was a problem with the A/C there was a loud somewhat whistling sound so we decided to leave it on the lowest temp and high pressure setting in hopes it would go away on its own.

The shower head is too low and not suitable for tall people.

Their safe is key operated still LOL and the shower pressure was the equivalent of a few babies pissing on you at once, no pressure.

Not all the lamps worked, the sink had a chip, and the tub had what looked like stains.

Cons:
No USB ports in rooms for cell phone charging
Scratchy towels
Thinnest and cheapest toilet paper I have ever seen.

The bathroom was pretty small and I wish it would have been bigger and have a vent.

Evidently, housekeeping failed to properly clean the bathroom (even after specifically requesting the bathroom be cleaned).

but the shower controls on our second visit were far less finicky.

OK for a budget property - only real complaint if there is one, is that they did not provide tissues in the bathroom.

The room was dirty fire alarm on the wall was full of mold along with the wall paper in the sink area.

Water pressure was weak, so they sent a maintenance guy name Frank, who took care of the problem in no time.

If you happen to go into the men's bathroom outside the buffet, they have a section of the Berlin Wall along the back of the urinals.

I literally had to bend over in the shower because the shower head is so low.

You can stay just about anywhere on the strip (save for the occassional Casino Royale or Riviera) and be pretty well assured that they have a nice hotel.

The bathroom was dark, claustrophobic, and FILTHY, with hair, dirt, hand prints, and crumbling tile and grout everywhere.

but the lack of apology or anything else upon hearing how we were treated would discourage me for patronising the hotel as well.

It was extremely inconvenient that we were woken up by that noise.

The window glass is really thin and you could hear busy road and railway 24/7, if you’re a light sleeper then ear plugs are a must.

This hotel/casino is not quite on the fremont experience, which keeps the noise down for the hotel guest trying to get some sleep!

but far enough away that you don't hear all the noise.

Main Street station – we stayed in the RV park, it’s a parking lot near the highway with overpass above the park, in which surprisingly was not so noisy.

but a light sleeper might be woken by the passing trains.

Needs a major renovation, and the interstate is so close you are woken up all night from the vehicles and trucks driving by.

Many of the reviews that we read were a little alarming and full of complains about the noise, the smell.

Rooms are okay, nothing great: shutters on the windows don't block outside lights, loud heater, frequent train and nearby highway add to noise level.

If you play video poker don't forget they always have a promotion by which you get a scratch card with a random monetary prize every time you hit 4 of a kind (just make sure you call the attendant and show the hand)
The rooms are ample and fairly decent, the only issue for me being the noise from the freeway, and yes, you can hear it from both sides of the hotel.

If you dont mind waking up to the sounds of a train.

As some reviewers noted, train noise was a bit of an issue.

Heard the train whistle one time, otherwise, no outside noise.

While the traffic did not bother me,  a train did come by during the night and was briefly loud.

It is adjacent to the freeway so like I see posted, there COULD be exposure to noise

Our room on the 17 th floor was subject to highway noise all day & night.

but could still hear the train noise and were woken up throughout the night.

About 11pm we come back to the room to watch TV and we start hearing a cricket joining the now symphony in our hotel room consisting of the rumbling AC, whistling windows, frequent crash of trains rushing by the window, and the toilet running every minute.

There is a lack of outlets close to the bed and the train rolls by every so often so honk honk (I knew this in advance).

The one downside is that you are near some active railroad tracks and sometimes the trains going by can wake you up.

The room was also quite noisy due to the nearby railway and freeways and could do with a little refurb,

The worst thing is the noise of the road ,train noise is not so

The only negative about this hotel is the noise from trains and cars that pass nearby.

but trains run often, also during the night.

Unfortunately, the train was louder and woke me up at all hours of the night

but the train noise can’t be avoided every night.

but there is some noise from the Fremont Street Experience and passing 
trains, but still preferable to the north side.

We had a bit of noise from the freeway on the first stay (floor 9, looking towards the mountains) and noise from the train line on both occasions (2nd time looking towards Freemont, floor 16)

We took a walk around the strip to sightsee (as first timers to the area) and upon our return we were met with a security guard who was extremely rude about the stall we were parked in.

About 5 mins walk away from the hotel is a 7/11, here we bought some cereal/milk/snacks/beer to have breakfast etc which saved a fortune, there was  a fridge in our room to store bits.

It is worth walking the entire area and notice the tradition wood and marble displays and the traditional las vegas theme.

The location is ideal if you wanted to be close to Fremont which is a ten min walk.

I love the connecting over-street, walk bridge over to the California.

Fremont street at night was a lot of fun and a short walk from the hotel which was very convenient,

but we do like to walk the casinos and have a good time.

The walk thru the casino to the buffet is refreshing  as this place does a superb  job keeping  the smoke filtered  out of the air.

A brief walk to Fremont Street, the location is good for an off-strip hotel.

The hotel is located a couple blocks north of the original Las Vegas area, with the Freemont Street pedestrian only area making a fun walk.

There's also lots of building work going on making the walk along the path from the hotel to Fremont Street less pleasant

He even personally walked me over to the desert section and pointed out the delicious oatmeal muffins which he thought i’d enjoy.

Also within walking distant of the Fremont experience.

My husband and I did a self guided walking tour of the strip on the older section of Fremont Street.

It's a block walk to Fremont street and has access to a pool at the California,  which is connected by a bridge.
