Club rooms are well appointed and exceptionally clean.

Rooms were really spacious and clean and staff were very friendly and helpful.

The hotel is modern, airy and very welcoming, the food was excellent, the rooms clean and very comfortable, and the staff are on top of their game when it comes to customer service.

Check in was quick and easy, the food in the restaurant was delicious, the bedrooms were clean with plenty of room in the family rooms

So glad we stayed here as it was the perfect start to our holiday!

Rooms are always very clean and of a good standard.

My room (club room) was very spacious with everything required and expected.

However, the Club Room itself on the ground-floor was a great disappointment.

Stayed here for work and upgraded to a club room.

We arrived a little earlier than anticipated and were offered the chance to either wait for our booked twin room, or to have a free upgrade to one of the club rooms right at the top of the hotel, the disadvantage being that the club only had a large double bed.

A friendly check in with a free upgrade to a club room was greatly appreciated.

Got an extra large size room which is probably a club room.

It turned out that the club rooms are in a later annex to the main hotel involving a walk of a least 400m from the lift.

We stayed in one of the club rooms at a very reasonable upgrade price.

Room was a club room , big and very clean , subdued colours and very comfy .

We stayed in a club room which includes a tv in the bathroom, a rainfall shower, larger beds and generally bigger rooms (well worth pay extra for).

Yes, the hike to the Club Rooms is tiresome,

Reception are great a tentative Olga in the club room is excellent and friendly and housekeeping are superb too.

Lovely stay, we were upgraded to a club room and decided to pop down to the club lounge for free canapés and wine.

We were upgraded to a Club room too so had loads of space for work and relaxing and the extra security those rooms offer.

Ms Himani in particular is very kind and hospitable and makes sure that our stay over there is comfortable and easy.

The hotel itself is certainly extremely convenient for the airport (probably a 5-10 minute drive to the various parking places) and has large comfortable rooms with a decent range of food and drinks available.

Lovely comfortable room which managed to fit our family of 5 nicely.

The room was comfortable enough for simply hanging around in, which was handy as were were using it as a base until we were sent our PCR results and could head off to the airport.

I have to isolate for two days here, and I am happy and very comfortable being here.

The room had ben cleaned to a very high standard and the bed was comfortable.

We found our room comfortable, clean and very well maintained.

Charged £224 for twin room and 15 days parking for myself and our Son.

Due to the long wait for their food they were promised 20% off their bill which equated for the extra they were charged for the additional items that Did not arrive.

but ended up being charged for two additional rooms - this was soon sorted out.

but the announcement on the call was saying it was 2:32, your system clock is incorrect,  when checking out the receptionist wanted to charge me £30 to check out, when I asked what for, he called a colleague who then said there was no charge, if I had not questioned it I would have paid £30 for nothing.

What I detest : 

A “discretionary 10% service charge added to your bill automatically without any one knowing as it charged to the room without signing .

However in the end I brought it to the attention of the guy at reception and my card was not charged.

However, we were offered breakfast, at no extra charge, as the continental breakfast wasn’t being served in the club lounge.

We had to pay for this upgrade which I have to say really isn’t worth the money, plus we also paid to have a breakfast each at £10.95 per person, on top of the club lounge upgrade, I have just read that if you book the club lounge upgrade, then you automatically get a breakfast at no extra charge, so we were over charged by £21.90.

Be aware though, service charge is added to all bar purchases without consultation.

In the car park if you go out more de two times , they will send you a notice charge that you had stayed more then an hour, this is the way how they are doing money for the car park, a taxi driver came two times , first to pick up customers from the hotel to Gatwick and after half hour he drop off customer in the hotel and he left , they put him to pay 100£ because “they said that he stayed more then an hour just to make some money , the driver it is lucky because he can provide proofs

The food is very expensive for what it is and the service it’s delivered with, yet they still applied service charge!

Overnight guests not leaving their cars at the hotel while they travel are charged a £10 parking fee per day which you can pay on check in or check out.

We are now appealing the charge to Parking Eye and have asked the hotel to sort it out as well.

However, the major negative is the lack of a power socket anywhere near the bed or comfy chair, so I can’t relax and use the phone whilst it’s charging.

I have been asured I will not be charged.

Scribbled something on the room card which I eventually translated as the Wi-Fi code.

“What’s your room number?” called out to me as I walked away; they don’t even know they write it on the card.

The parking lot, despite the fact the hotel charges guests for parking, was completely full.

Good breakfast spread.Front-desk team was active and responsive round the clock when it came to service which was really helpful.Special thanks to Mr.Khursheed for the room upgrade which surely made my long stay a pleasant one.

Even the hotel manager Mr/Khorsheed is always around, and he personally assisted me in few occasions.

Mr.Khursheed and his team were incredible in hospitality.

Restaurant facilities/food/access to restaurant were satisfactory.

I use the Crowne Plaza weekly for work and I would just like to say the service I receive in the restaurant from Medallia is second to none.

although very tasty, was limited to spring roles and coronation chicken as a canapé.

Great atmosphere in the bar with delicious  food and great cocktails.

The food was great, the room was spot on and the staff were really friendly.

The friendly staff, Maurice, Chloe, Mathy, Florina, Joseph and the other restaurant staff were always so welcoming and happy to help specially with any additional food requirements.

The food in the restaurant for breakfast and in the bar for dinner was excellent.

The bar restaurant is a friendly place to eat have a drink and with BT SPORTS watch the football.

We had two meals in the bar which were excellent, as we decided to have a meal on our return prior to hitting the M25.

The Bar and restaurant areas were very spacious and the hotel allowed you to select food from either menu and eat it in either venue.

We ate in the bar the food wasn’t that great or value for money.

We had dinner from the bar menu, which was good.

however was even more disappointing than my small room.

The hotel room was small, old, battered and full of dust.

Our new room was small with no walk in shower.

Our room was tiny and you could touch the bath, sink, and door to the room whilst sat on the loo - that tells you how small it was.

Old, worn, dark passages, small rooms and British TV which seems stuck in the 80's.

At the reception desk we definitely did not receive the promised warm welcome, in fact very unfriendly and unhelpful, room very small

The room was small and so was the double bed.

although the room we had was very small, even by UK standards.

The room was tiny and dated, one of the lamps wasn’t working, the shower didn’t drain, and the air conditioning unit made a funny noise in the night.

So small was the room that once the bed had been erected the bathroom door only opened a crack and then you had to squeeze in.

stayed here before a flight, room was so small we could barley fit both our suitcases in it.

This was ignored. Our room was on a low floor, very far from the incredibly slow and tiny lifts.The room itself was small (I booked a “Superior” room.)

She is always so attentive, asks me how my day has been and always has a smile.

We arrived late afternoon and were welcomed by the friendly and helpful staff.

The staff are warm and welcoming no matter what time of day or night I arrive.

By the time I got to the front desk I was dying of thirst.

Being away from my family for so long it was great to have this kind of experience so far from home.

We stayed in a club room which is an exclusive area within the property.

The staff are always ready to help and serve , we were well taken care of by the club room staff and especially by Deep, who answered every call and made anything possible - a big thank you to him!

The club room with sea view is picturesque.

The property is located on the cliff which gives you the view of the Arabian Sea & this looks stunning especially from the infinity pool & the club rooms.

The rooms at the club section is amazing.

We had the room at the club level with unobstructed views of the Arabian Sea.

If one would like to spent more, opt for the Royal club room.

They finally moved my wife's parents into a "club room" which was at least clean,

The royal club rooms offer much better view and service compared to garden / sea view villas.

Pros- Stayed in the Royal Club rooms,  loved the balcony,  amazing views.

There is also an option of high tea between 5 pm to 6 pm for club room residents , excellent spread.

Shaleena checked us in seamlessly and our Club rooms were sheer delight with the waves crashing into the rocks just below us.

However the service is really poor, there’s a long wait for anything and with multiple reminders.

however it still does not discount the fact that overall food quality was very poor for the price we paid for stay at Leela.

I have never seen a 5 star property where you had to request for basic niceties 

Unfortunate that the holiday was marred by poor service in our room and absolutely pathetic service in the restaurant

Travel here at your own peril if you are planning a vacation

House keeping is poor, even drinking water not provided.

The salads were really delicious and a the service team.

I request the restaurant team to plase call the housekeeping.

It was an absolute delight to come stay at the Leela palace! The food, amenities and most importantly the service (special shout out to Rahul!)

The food there was also delicious, and we really enjoyed ourselves while eating our meal.

The food here was just amazing it was both quality and quantity .

Deep ensured that our stay was comfortable and all Logistics (check in /out, airport transfers, sight seeings, meals ) were meticulous, sharp and safe.

Specifically Manju Chechi at terrace restaurant was excellent.

Fabulous view of the ocean and friendly staff especially Manju who is very attentive at the Terrace restaurant.

Food at the Terrace had all the local specialities that we wanted to try.

We loved our room, the  location is amazing, the food is excellent and most of all, the staff is the friendliest and most service minded one can imagine.

The Cafe restaurant staff Reetika, Rohika, Akash, Bhagwat and Allen are very friendly and courteous.

And for vegetarians like us it was a dinner of dal and listless naan.

The food is delicious and the staff are outstanding!!

The grounds are all beautiful, the restaurant service and housekeeping and spa are fantastic, and Deep is the best

Room service is good and of the 3 restaurants,  the main restaurant service was commendable.

Rest was excellent be it food be it service everything different restaurants with unique view and menu .Staff was too courteous enjoyed the spa also .

Other staff that stood out and were incredibly kind and thoughtful were Manager Reshma, and Sreenath, head of food services.

Akhilesh was taking care of the food and service in other hand Ayush was taking care of Alcohol part, he is so knowledgeable about drinks and alcohol that we had different alcohol with different mixture.

The restraunts ambience is varied n captures your heart with the food n service offered by the team.The food across all restraunts was Very delicate and easy & equally tasty on our palate.My personal fav being 'The Cafe' & 'The Tides' .I could go on endlessly as the whole team at Leela Kovalam were warm and welcoming.

but the service was slow which needs to be improved as i ordered the food in night and it came after 1 and half an hour till that time my baby was asleep without eating anything.

Service in the restaurant is a bit slow maybe because hotel was at 100 percent occupancy on the days we stayed.

Just a bit slow in some service - ordered lunch in the restaurant beside the pool and it took a while to be served.

but service very slow, and they need some ice in that section!

2) Food service extremely slow and variable.

The check in was veryyyy slow so slow after being promised the rooms at 12:30 they gave it to us by 3.

however the F&B service throughout the hotel was very slow and laboured.

Eitherway it was extremely slow, with servers forgetting orders at live counters, tables not laid out etc - basic 101 level standards required in hotels of this stature.

Service at the restaurants is pretty slow,

You have ( slow ) internet for two devices complimentary, if you need faster or for more devices you have to pay.

She is a very friendly and courteous person and likes to open the beerbottle with a loud "plopp".

It is now 11.34am and am loosing patience.
