A thoroughly enjoyable stay that I would highly recommend  The only downside was the lack of shelves for you bathroom toiletries -

but there were some rooms "sponsored" across the hall with spectacular bathroom upgrades and lovely antique furniture.

They are renovating the rooms I guess; mine - reserved indirectly - was quite spartan and with a MINUSCULE bathroom (you could not sit on the toilet unless the door was closed….

The bathroom was very small and accessing the toilet could be problematic for large people.

My only complaint is the soap and shampoo provided need to be a bit more soapy.

That was balanced by cracks in ceiling, no refrigerator, almost non-existent WIFI, outdated plumbing, inoperative ice machine, closed on-site restaurant, small shower and no ground floor rooms.

The soap, shampoo, etc were in dispensers, except there was no shampoo and the rest were hard to get out.

Bathroom door looked like it had been attacked with a weed eater around the bottom edges.

Our room and bathroom were small and tired looking.

This is a really old hotel so do not expect large bedrooms or bathrooms.

The fan in the bathroom was operated by  the light switch and was quite noisy.

The valve in the shower gave us some issue and the ring on the door know for the bathroom needs some screws.

The bathroom door was a bit scuffed though.

however, was exceptionally tight and some people might have a lot of difficulty using the toilet due to the very limited space between it and the basin.

The rooms are also in keeping; small (for the US), with simple décor, small (for the US) beds, small bathrooms (come to that, small bathtubs.

The Boulder Dam Inn is a nice historic hotel if you can overlook some of the issues/ quirks that are inherent in an old hotel: small rooms, small bathrooms, thin walls.

Went up to the room and spent almost 30 minutes under the hot shower trying to loosen up my back and legs.

The rooms have character, the beds are comfortable, the bathrooms small.

Great restaurants to walk to  go to coffee cup for breakfast and ts cantina for dinner.

Breakfast was huge and individually cooked.

The breakfast /lunch restaurant in the hotel offered a salad bar and aside from other dishes also great omlettes.

I didn’t get to try breakfast as I had to leave early.

They have a restaurant for breakfast and lunch.

Because we stayed at the Boulder City Hotel, we could walk to supper and have breakfast at the hotel restaurant.

but food is great , I had both breakfast and lunch here.

In the morning, we each had a prepared to order breakfast that was fabulous.

Wonderful Staff - convenient location - loved the front lobby - happy that the downstairs lounge was open - food is terrific - your room comes with a free full breakfast - hotel has a small art gallery and a free film on the building of the Hover Dam

If you like antique shopping, it is worth mentioning that there are 3 or 4 large antique emporiums within a 5 minute walk.

Truly enjoyed our stay at the historic Boulder Dam Hotel.

The two rooms we had - 203 and the more spacious 205 were fabulous, decorated with simple charm and subtle historical references.

On are way to a Winter Getaway in Arizona, we stayed at the Boulder Dam Hotel, we had a great stay , the hotel was excellent, room was very good, the hotel itself is fabulous wonderful historic place and lots of history pertaining to the boulder dam itself.

The hotel is a historical building and well kept.

It was built to support the building of the Hoover Dam so it is quite historic.

Boulder City historic district is charming and the Boulder Dam Hotel is one of the reasons.

Many good restaurants and antique shops within walking distance.

Check in staff was very accommodating, with  suggestions for dinner, walking tour of the historic area,.

My husband and I stayed at this historic gem October 8, 9, and 10.

Breakfast was free, and guests can choose from about 10 items, made to order.

Also the included breakfast was unbeatable, definitely not what you would expect for a free breakfast!

The staff is very helpful, the rooms clean, the bed is marvelous & who could possibly complain about the complementary breakfast

Full Breakfast was complimentary, delicious and plentiful, in a beautiful old dining room.

The breakfast was included which was a plus.

A nice breakfast is included with the room and cookies and lemonade in the evening.

It's very nice--much nicer than the nearby modern and nondescript motels--and the included breakfast is a bonus.

The museum is well worth visiting and the Hoover Dam is only a few miles away so it’s a great base.

There was also an interesting museum in the hotel regarding the building of the Hoover Dam.

Note, the hotel  around the time they were building the Hoover Dam.

This hotel was only about 30 minutes from the strip, and was clean, well run and managed, and in a good area near Hoover Dam.

I liked the history associated with the hotel and their museum was very interesting.. Great location also for visiting the Hoover Dam.

The Hoover Dam museum is in the hotel, so that is an interesting activity if in the area.

Always a pleasant stay in this town filled with antique stores, galleries, art, and sculpture; and with one of the wonders of the world, Hoover Dam, just a few minutes away.

I was just planning to visit the Hoover Dam.

There is also a free museum telling the history of Hoover Dam!

The museum inside the hotel was a real hidden gem.

While we were here we visited the Hoover Dam Museum located in the same building, and often waited for our friends in the lovely seating area by the fireplace in the great front room.

The free museum was a great bonus to our stay.

The hotel have a nice museum on its 1st floor and that is Free.

There is a museum on site focusing on the construction of Hoover Dam.

They have a museum inside that was the bomb - you don't have to stay there to visit it, which we thought was very nice.

The hotel has a museum covering the building of the Hoover Dam, an Art Gallery with works available for purchase, and a really neat bar called Cleveland's Speakeasy.

but seriously enjoyed the museum which has artifacts from the building of the dam and the lives of the people who built it despite intense difficulty and hardship.

Self guided and free (donation only) museum downstairs had very informative information about the building of the dam and the town.

The museum, which is located in the hotel, was so informative.

Having enjoyed the museum, we felt very knowledgeable about going to see Hoover Dam.

An easy walk to all the local shops and restaurants.

Because the location of this hotel is so great - it is at the center of Historic Boulder City and within walking distance to many restaurants and coffee shops - we frequented these nearby establishments instead.

The on-site restaurant and cocktail lounge were great.

Location was great in the middle of downtown area and within walking distance to restaurants and shops.

The location is very walkable to many places to eat and shop- you feel as if you stepped back in time 50 years.

The location was wonderful as well and we took advantage of being able to stroll down the street to the not many shops and restaurants.

Historical, friendly, clean, quiet, and a good in house restaurant.

You had 4 choices off the menu that offered you a full breakfast in their restaurant.

This can be seen in every room and also in the carpentry work of a wonderful staircase, even so the hotel does have elevators.

Lots of great rooms and plenty of places to eat very close by.

Room was large with a king bed and sitting area along with a microwave, sink, little bar area and mini fridge.

On the upside, lots of history to be learned, the AC worked well, the desk employee was friendly, room clean, good towels and bed comfy.

The hotel is quiet and the rooms are large with comfortable beds and everything one needs.

Rooms still had air conditioning and flat screen.

Interesting to learn about the hotel and the renovations to include sponsors of rooms with their decorative touches.

We were able to store our two bicycles in a storage room in the basement and take them out every day.

Bathroom was tiny, no place for toiletries.

They are NOT kidding about hot water and small bathrooms.

Very small room and very small bathroom you nearly had to empty the Boulder Dam before you got a "not so hot shower".

Note:* the bathrooms are very small in the Queen rooms, hence, they are better suited to the 'solo' traveller.

Our room had a "Living room" with a kitchen, a bedroom and a small bathroom.

The rooms are small as most from the depression era.

Though the room was small, it was just fine for two people.

The rooms were small and the beds uncomfortable.

However, our room was small and as mentioned, it looked as if the room had  not been updated since the 1930's.

We stayed in the Shirley Temple room which was quite small

Our room was very small and had no real storage space, and the bed was not really comfy.

(It turns out there was small room that had coffee in it down the hall,

Staff was competent, friendly and knowledgeable of the areas history.

I was honestly surprised by the very attentive service, the old time

We truly enjoyed staying one night at the Boulder Dam Hotel, it's full of history and the employees couldn't have been more friendly.

No refrigerator making noise in the room, comfortable and quiet (most nights depending on who your neighbors are) and very helpful staff.

An added bonus is the owner is the bartender and manages the place to insure everyone is enjoying themselves.

The staff is always on duty and very courteous.

Pleasant and helpful front desk/check-in staff.

The lobby and casino were super quiet (we were there on a weeknight).

but I lost my ARSE playing at the casino.

I stayed at the Hoover Dam Lodge and Casino this fall, as they had a special rate for a nearby recreational event at Lake Mead’s Boulder Beach.

but I did walk around the lobby and casino area.

The hotel has a restaurant, casino, general store and excellent customer service.

If you like to go to the casino they have several areas to play in.

Casino area was nice and we gambled and lost a few bucks

The Lodge is a casino on its main level, and the hotel keeps its main floor very nice and up to date.

The casino is a good mix of inviting and relaxing.

We made our way around the fairly large hotel, visiting each of the casino sections that have their own little food booths.

There is a small casino and several small restaurants downstairs adjacent to the casino.

I tried my luck on several of the hotel's casino slot machines, and finally found one that rewarded me nicely.

There are many themed restaurant, fun shops and a casino all within the lodge.

The shop, restaurants and Casino here are brilliant!

The hotel was clean, the beds & pillows were comfortable, it was nicely decorated and the staff was helpful and friendly.

The room was large and clean, and the hotel had a lot of character.

It was convenient for touring the area and fairly clean.

We had a clean room with a big walk in shower.

People are kind and service, and rooms are clean and confortable.

This Dam hotel was very close to the dam, the dam hotel staff was friendly and our Dam hotel room was very spacious and dam clean.

The room i had had two double beds very comfortable and everything was clean and spacious  and perfect for me.

We stayed here for two nights to boat on Lake Mead and visit the Hoover Dam.

This was a stopover for us between Zion NP and Death Valley so gave us the opportunity to visit the Hoover Dam and look over Lake Mead.

The lobby is supper cool with Hoover Dam history making it family friendly.

Close to Hoover Dam, and very close to Historic Boulder City, this place is a nice respite from the cacaphony in Vegas.

If you're looking for a lodge nearby the Hoover dam, this is a right place to book.

But, another added bonus is the Historic Railroad trail leading from here to the Hoover Dam is right behind the Lodge so i was able to walk it in the morning.

The Hoover Dam Lodge is a great place to visit.

The lobby and casino were clean, cooled nicely by the A/C, had interesting history about Hoover Dam.

.it was literally a couple of minutes drive to Hoover Dam and about 5-7 min drive into Boulder City, NV which is a cute smaller town with a great vibe in its downtown district.

Your about 35 minutes away from the vegas strip in some rural country, nearby Hoover Dam.

Check in was quick and efficient and they did not mind us leaving our trailer in their (free) parking area the next day while we visited the Hoover Dam.

We stayed in the Hoover Dam Lodge while visiting the Hoover Dam and Boulder City.

Stayed at the hoover dam lodge, seventh floor room over looking lake mead.

Got there to have a great location near Vegas, Valley of Fire and Hoover dam.

so mix that with a clean environment with reasonably priced food and fantastic proximity to both hoover dam and lake meade,.

It's very close to the Hoover Dam which was great as we wanted a tour of the dam.

For us the location was perfect as it’s close to hoover dam, on the highway to grand Canyon (south entrance) and after Las Vegas in this case.

but this is handy for saving a few bucks and close to Hoover Dam for a visit there, near to Lake Mead and the Valley of Fire (which is awesome!

We found this hidden gem near Hoover Dam that's an easy drive to Vegas, Lake Mead or Laughlin.

Handy for late arrivals at Las Vegas and Hoover Dam itself very near for a visit.

This hotel is the closest one to Hoover Dam.

We spent a night here before going on to another location because it was close to Hoover Dam which we were going to the next day.
