The bathroom was very small and accessing the toilet could be problematic for large people.

My only complaint is the soap and shampoo provided need to be a bit more soapy.

That was balanced by cracks in ceiling, no refrigerator, almost non-existent WIFI, outdated plumbing, inoperative ice machine, closed on-site restaurant, small shower and no ground floor rooms.

The soap, shampoo, etc were in dispensers, except there was no shampoo and the rest were hard to get out.

Bathroom door looked like it had been attacked with a weed eater around the bottom edges.

Our room and bathroom were small and tired looking.

This is a really old hotel so do not expect large bedrooms or bathrooms.

The fan in the bathroom was operated by  the light switch and was quite noisy.

The valve in the shower gave us some issue and the ring on the door know for the bathroom needs some screws.

The bathroom door was a bit scuffed though.

however, was exceptionally tight and some people might have a lot of difficulty using the toilet due to the very limited space between it and the basin.

The rooms are also in keeping; small (for the US), with simple décor, small (for the US) beds, small bathrooms (come to that, small bathtubs.

The Boulder Dam Inn is a nice historic hotel if you can overlook some of the issues/ quirks that are inherent in an old hotel: small rooms, small bathrooms, thin walls.

Went up to the room and spent almost 30 minutes under the hot shower trying to loosen up my back and legs.

The rooms have character, the beds are comfortable, the bathrooms small.

My only gripe might be that the bathroom fan was very loud,  and wished there was a separate/secondary light fixture.

It is a vintage bathroom too, so not exactly a his & her counter to share, in fact the opposite.

Bathroom was tiny, no place for toiletries.

The only complaint was the bottom of the bathtub looked filthy because I believe the white enamel had been worn away.

The water was hot and the old fashioned tub was awesome.

It is true to period with cast iron tub, pedestal sink and toilet.

LOVED the history, decor and the attention to detail at this hotel.

They also have a "speakeasy style lounge" called Clevelander.

Chose Boulder Dam Hotel for the historic charm and great price.

Ours was from the Art Deco period and was lovely.

The two rooms we had - 203 and the more spacious 205 were fabulous, decorated with simple charm and subtle historical references.

If gambling casinos and bright lights is not your style, this hotel is a good alternative.

The room was nicely decorated and had a private bath and closet.

The Speakeasy in the lower floor is really neat with decorations of the prohibition error.

It's a nicely restored hotel originally built in the 1930s.

Our room was recently renovated with period furnishings.

Clean room with some vintage furniture and a comfortable mattress.

You will fall in love with this little town with all its charms and views all around.

They have just finishing installing a speak-easy theme lounge that is a nice addition.The room decor is different for each room and always interesting.

The museum is well worth visiting and the Hoover Dam is only a few miles away so it’s a great base.

The hotel is clean and with a museum about the Hoover Dam.

The Hoover dam was breath taking very interesting tour, during the summer time it can get very hot, so be sure to drink plenty of water and sunscreen, there is quite a few cute places to eat and the people are very friendly, overall a very great experience visiting this town.

Also, the hotel's museum on the building of Hoover Dam is excellent.

They have a museum inside that was the bomb - you don't have to stay there to visit it, which we thought was very nice.

The hotel has a museum covering the building of the Hoover Dam, an Art Gallery with works available for purchase, and a really neat bar called Cleveland's Speakeasy.

but seriously enjoyed the museum which has artifacts from the building of the dam and the lives of the people who built it despite intense difficulty and hardship.

Self guided and free (donation only) museum downstairs had very informative information about the building of the dam and the town.

Great breakfast; lovely lobby; building with a long history; very friendly staff; beautiful Christmas tree; very interesting museum and great pictures of the hotel from early 1900s; highly recommend; beautiful Christmas lights everywhere

The museum, which is located in the hotel, was so informative.

We also enjoyed the onsite museum, very educational.

Having enjoyed the museum, we felt very knowledgeable about going to see Hoover Dam.

The museum was great,  and the breakfast of the charts delicious.

There were many locals out for dinner that evening  and it felt fun to be out with them--everyone was eager to learn where we were visiting from, and they readily shared stories.Be sure to check out the on-site museum!

The museum and art gallery on the first floor are always a treat.

Lots of great rooms and plenty of places to eat very close by.

Room was large with a king bed and sitting area along with a microwave, sink, little bar area and mini fridge.

On the upside, lots of history to be learned, the AC worked well, the desk employee was friendly, room clean, good towels and bed comfy.

The hotel is quiet and the rooms are large with comfortable beds and everything one needs.

On are way to a Winter Getaway in Arizona, we stayed at the Boulder Dam Hotel, we had a great stay , the hotel was excellent, room was very good, the hotel itself is fabulous wonderful historic place and lots of history pertaining to the boulder dam itself.

We were able to store our two bicycles in a storage room in the basement and take them out every day.

For the cost of the room, we felt it was worth it's value.

Staff were really nice and allowed early check-in since the room was ready.

The walls are so thin I could hear every word clearly from the next room and I was woke up at 11:30 pm and again at 5:45 am.

It was one of the most uncomfortable beds I have ever slept in, we only stayed one night

I went back upstairs the noise still continuing - frustrated through lack of sleep we both went down again and he gave us some ear plugs!!!

but included white noise machine let us sleep soundly.

It was so soft we could not sleep and it creaked as if there was a broken spring inside.

Do not expect a good nights rest here unless you love sleeping in a literal divot.

The fan was very loud which caused a bad night sleep for my husband.

The entire building, the decor, art work and furniture reeks of a period long past,

No noxious second hand smoke at this property.

The hallway didn't smell great and and had the appearance of a fairly run down kind of place.

The steam helped A LOT to keep my lungs moist and try and flush out all the cigarette smoke for our previous hotel stay in Vegas.

but the windows were painted shut and the room was very out dated and musty and strong chemical cleaning products.

Others were angry as well in the breakfast area.

Very large 8-10” diameter rocks landscape the area.

but more of a side-of-the-highway area pretty close to town.

but right in the middle of all of the site seeing for hoover dam and lake mead , well that area of it .

Good area to walk around if your walkers or joggers.

This is the hotel I always stay in when my travels bring me to the Boulder City area.

Will definitely go stay here again whenever visiting the Las Vegas area.

Our room was very large, the closet/dressing area was large and the bathroom was comfortable.

I would recommend this place and will return if we have reason to go back to that area.

This is an older motel right outside of the main area of Boulder City Nv, close to Lake Mead and Hoover Dam.

Location is good for visiting the Lake Mead area.

It is about a mile drive to some restaurants and grocery stores, and you are just minutes away from the national park area.

We (me and the Mr.) have stayed at this particular Quality Inn a few times now and have even booked rooms for family that will be visiting the area.

Checking in the area others still have pools open.

Pool was nice as was grassy areas for our dog.

but is in an absolutely perfect location to access Lake Meade Recreational area, the Train Tunnel Bridge (highly recommend this hike), Hoover Dam, etc.

Will definitely come back to stay here if I'm in the area.

Bathroom had a separate counter area in addition to the bathroom sink counter which was nice to have that much space.

Very pet friendly with lots of area for dogs to run.

On the down side: building exterior and rooms are in desperate need of refurbishing and TLC.

"Breakfast" in the COVID era was a sack breakfast with banana, yogurt, granola bar and water.

The building and rooms actually are shabby and dirty and in desperate need of painting and updating.

Anyway we get to room 120 and the room itself was really outdated.

The breakfast room is in the lobby and is not designed to fit very many people.

The rooms are dated and in need of renovation.

but it's very basic and needs to be redone for sure.

This hotel is old and needs to be totally refurbished and reconditioned.

The carpets and curtains were worn, the bathroom and furniture were way out of date.

The rooms need updating, carpeting is very old, cracked tile in bathoom, paint outside room needs to be redone some lights worked others didn't, ants in several rooms as well as outside the door,  Bed was ok & didn't see any bedbugs.

That is a safety issue, The dresser had wood coming off the front, and the curtains were ripped from top to bottom.The security on the door was an old fashioned chain.

If you can see past the slightly dated exterior there's a gem underneath.

Perfect for a two night stay to visit Hoover Dam which is nearby.

We stayed here after flying into Vegas and wanting to visit the Hoover Dam before heading to California.

Stayed here on the way to the Grand Canyon to visit Hoover Dam.

We spent two nights here while visiting Hoover Dam and Valley of Fire State Park.

Location is great if you are headed to Lake Mead/Hoover Dam or AZ hot springs - all very close.

Pros: inexpensive, close to Hoover Dam (about 10 min.

First the good: view of Lake Mead, room had a small balcony,  close to Hoover Dam
Now the not so good:  arrived early (about 12:30) we were told to return at 1:30 or 2:00.

We arrived late from the grand canyon to stay the night and then visited the Hoover Dam in the morning.

Clean room and proximity to Hoover dam and some quaint restaurants (Southwest Diner &Bar-B-Q )made it a fun trip!

Less than 15 minutes away from Hoover Dam.

The room was not clean… And I don’t mean the sheets, countertops or the basics that a housekeeper can do…but marred walls, dirty carpet, draperies broken and falling off the rack, scuffed paint, moldy showerhead clogged with minerals and a tub mat that desperately needs to be replaced.

Would say a cursory cleaning had been done

but when you leave your room for a couple of hours and come back to find the maid has cleaned you room and now the camcorder you left on the table is gone it kind of puts a damper on your vacation.

Housekeeping didn't make up the beds the whole time we were there.

Con:  Had to pull off the sheets & remake the bed because housekeeping had the fitted sheet on wrong.

's, more modern furnishings and cleaner carpets (after showering I barefooted on the carpet and it actually sticked to my feet!).

I'd knock off 1/2 point for having housekeeping disturb me by knocking on my door even when I had the DND sign, as well as the evening manager not acknowledge me while I waited about 6 minutes while he helped another guest.

We came back at 2:50 (3PM regular check-in) to find the maids cleaning the room.

We did notify the front desk the next morning and they seemed to clean it a bit better the next day,

Both buildings had open storage rooms with all kinds of junk and cleaning supplies in them.

Go check your room to see if it was cleaned before you take your bags in.

I appeared that someone had cleaned something greasy in the tub.

Room was a bit worn-out and maid service definitely lacking (unmade beds, lack of needed vacuuming) Also, as noted in other reviews, spotty wi-fi.

Trash cans needed to be emptied and the seats that are provided outside the rooms are in need of cleaning; better yet they should be placed in the trash.

Had to make special request to be sure it got cleaned.

I saw somebody checking and cleaning the pool and whirlpool each morning, and pool towels were provided in a box. There are 2 buildings, and all rooms have either a balcony (2nd & 3rd floor) or a patio (ground floor.)

but "surface cleaning" had been done in quite a while.

but could have used a deep cleaning such as the carpet.

Our room was spacious, immaculately clean, and very comfortable.

The chairs looked liked they'd been filming porno's in the room with the slime on them.

Good size room and clean beddings and bathroom.

Some rooms do have a distant view of Lake Mead.

The rooms are nice and I had no problem with the front office or anything else,

Me & my friend stayed in room 120 (whirlpool suite) for 2 nights (Feb 9-11).

On top of everything else, when I checked in, the man announced my room number aloud several times (inappropriate for all,

On issue with balcony is that the aircondioner from the next room is right there with you.

The room was large and had all the amenities that were needed.

Our room had a good 1 inch gap to see outside on top in a section.

New ownership has been going through the rooms and cleaning up and upgrading the rooms.

The cooling system had a red indicator light on indicating the system filter needs changing.

Carpets are old and bath shows signs of wear that won’t wash off.

We were a little worried when we arrived, because hand written "no vacancy" signs were posted all over the front doors.

As we'd been to several national parks where they exist and driven almost 2000 miles without seeing one we were surprised to see Bighorn Sheep signs as we approached the motel.

Because the parking lot is not within viewing distance (at least at night) of the room doors - they should have large signs that show the room numbers close to the parking lot to help.

The carpet in the rooms needs cleaning to remove dirt and a variety of stains.

Pay attention to the hotel's directions on its website and also look for the brightly-lit Quality Inn sign.

However, while the front sign boasts of a pool and spa, both were closed by the Health Dept.

Anyway, she did remove the pet fee for the room.

There are no helpful signs or instructions if you miss the turn.

but we didn't have a balcony view, and there was a family above us that had kids that never stop running around.

Fantastic staff, great views of Lake Mead and a much-appreciated upgrade to a large room/suite in the conference area of the hotel.

but you can't get a better view for the price.

Rooms are large and some with a view of lake Mead.

Check In staff and other staff were friendly, rooms were HUGE and spacious and had a great view of Lake Mead on the balcony.

The location was perfect- easy on/off highway and view of the lake.

but overall it was ok.  A warm welcome on the reception desk and lovely view of Lake Mead.
