A thoroughly enjoyable stay that I would highly recommend  The only downside was the lack of shelves for you bathroom toiletries -

but there were some rooms "sponsored" across the hall with spectacular bathroom upgrades and lovely antique furniture.

They are renovating the rooms I guess; mine - reserved indirectly - was quite spartan and with a MINUSCULE bathroom (you could not sit on the toilet unless the door was closed….

The bathroom was very small and accessing the toilet could be problematic for large people.

My only complaint is the soap and shampoo provided need to be a bit more soapy.

That was balanced by cracks in ceiling, no refrigerator, almost non-existent WIFI, outdated plumbing, inoperative ice machine, closed on-site restaurant, small shower and no ground floor rooms.

The soap, shampoo, etc were in dispensers, except there was no shampoo and the rest were hard to get out.

Bathroom door looked like it had been attacked with a weed eater around the bottom edges.

Our room and bathroom were small and tired looking.

This is a really old hotel so do not expect large bedrooms or bathrooms.

The fan in the bathroom was operated by  the light switch and was quite noisy.

The valve in the shower gave us some issue and the ring on the door know for the bathroom needs some screws.

The bathroom door was a bit scuffed though.

however, was exceptionally tight and some people might have a lot of difficulty using the toilet due to the very limited space between it and the basin.

The rooms are also in keeping; small (for the US), with simple décor, small (for the US) beds, small bathrooms (come to that, small bathtubs.

The Boulder Dam Inn is a nice historic hotel if you can overlook some of the issues/ quirks that are inherent in an old hotel: small rooms, small bathrooms, thin walls.

Went up to the room and spent almost 30 minutes under the hot shower trying to loosen up my back and legs.

The rooms have character, the beds are comfortable, the bathrooms small.

The location was very central to the historic area.

Wonderful historic hotel built in the thirties, rooms are adequate for the time period.

If you like antique shopping, it is worth mentioning that there are 3 or 4 large antique emporiums within a 5 minute walk.

Other than that, if you are into historic hotels, you should book a stay here.

Truly enjoyed our stay at the historic Boulder Dam Hotel.

The two rooms we had - 203 and the more spacious 205 were fabulous, decorated with simple charm and subtle historical references.

On are way to a Winter Getaway in Arizona, we stayed at the Boulder Dam Hotel, we had a great stay , the hotel was excellent, room was very good, the hotel itself is fabulous wonderful historic place and lots of history pertaining to the boulder dam itself.

The hotel is a historical building and well kept.

It was built to support the building of the Hoover Dam so it is quite historic.

Boulder City historic district is charming and the Boulder Dam Hotel is one of the reasons.

Many good restaurants and antique shops within walking distance.

Beautiful historic hotel, very clean, I love the attention to detail of the historic decor.

Check in staff was very accommodating, with  suggestions for dinner, walking tour of the historic area,.

My husband and I stayed at this historic gem October 8, 9, and 10.

Lovely included breakfast (fruit pancakes were delicious).

Free breakfast cooked to order was wonderful.

Breakfast was free, and guests can choose from about 10 items, made to order.

Also the included breakfast was unbeatable, definitely not what you would expect for a free breakfast!

The staff is very helpful, the rooms clean, the bed is marvelous & who could possibly complain about the complementary breakfast

Full Breakfast was complimentary, delicious and plentiful, in a beautiful old dining room.

The breakfast was included which was a plus.

A nice breakfast is included with the room and cookies and lemonade in the evening.

It's very nice--much nicer than the nearby modern and nondescript motels--and the included breakfast is a bonus.

The whole experience was delightful, very friendly staff, charming room, delicious breakfast included with the room, very chill town, I will highly recommend this place.

The museum of the Hoover dam construction is very good and adds to the lovely atmosphere.

but to learn about the history on how the hoover dam was built.

The museum is well worth visiting and the Hoover Dam is only a few miles away so it’s a great base.

There was also an interesting museum in the hotel regarding the building of the Hoover Dam.

Note, the hotel  around the time they were building the Hoover Dam.

This hotel was only about 30 minutes from the strip, and was clean, well run and managed, and in a good area near Hoover Dam.

I liked the history associated with the hotel and their museum was very interesting.. Great location also for visiting the Hoover Dam.

The Hoover Dam museum is in the hotel, so that is an interesting activity if in the area.

Always a pleasant stay in this town filled with antique stores, galleries, art, and sculpture; and with one of the wonders of the world, Hoover Dam, just a few minutes away.

There is also a free museum telling the history of Hoover Dam!

The museum inside the hotel was a real hidden gem.

While we were here we visited the Hoover Dam Museum located in the same building, and often waited for our friends in the lovely seating area by the fireplace in the great front room.

The free museum was a great bonus to our stay.

The hotel have a nice museum on its 1st floor and that is Free.

There is a museum on site focusing on the construction of Hoover Dam.

They have a museum inside that was the bomb - you don't have to stay there to visit it, which we thought was very nice.

The hotel has a museum covering the building of the Hoover Dam, an Art Gallery with works available for purchase, and a really neat bar called Cleveland's Speakeasy.

but seriously enjoyed the museum which has artifacts from the building of the dam and the lives of the people who built it despite intense difficulty and hardship.

Self guided and free (donation only) museum downstairs had very informative information about the building of the dam and the town.

Great breakfast; lovely lobby; building with a long history; very friendly staff; beautiful Christmas tree; very interesting museum and great pictures of the hotel from early 1900s; highly recommend; beautiful Christmas lights everywhere

The museum, which is located in the hotel, was so informative.

Having enjoyed the museum, we felt very knowledgeable about going to see Hoover Dam.

You are paying less than half of what you would pay at the strip.

For the cost of the room, we felt it was worth it's value.

Was perfect "layover" spot for me driving from northern AZ without having to stay in the hustle and bustle of LAS and deal with resort fees there. .

Later in the day, at Hoover, we chose not to pay for their tour, as we felt the Boulder City Museum have given us enough information to appreciate the construction and the spirit of those people who worked to construct the dam.

The price was ridiculously low and the location is central to everything in the old town.

Choice of a hot breakfast cooked to order was amazing and included in the price.

A dozen or so breakfast entrees from eggs to biscuits and gravy are free and if you want more the rest of the menu items are available for a substantially reduced price.

The short list on the back of the menu was REALLY basic, stuff you could get for free at any Best Western or similar cheap chain hotel.

The charge was very reasonable for the level of comfort and the great breakfast in the morning.

The room was terrific, the breakfast was the best I have had as part of the room price, the Museum was fantastic.

Plentiful parking, great downtown location; and all for little more than the cost of a motel.

A full cooked breakfast was included in the cost of the room and was large, perfectly cooked and excellent.

but good and clean, and a great price which includes breakfast.

Their museum on the first floor is first rate.

Bathroom was tiny, no place for toiletries.

They are NOT kidding about hot water and small bathrooms.

Very small room and very small bathroom you nearly had to empty the Boulder Dam before you got a "not so hot shower".

Note:* the bathrooms are very small in the Queen rooms, hence, they are better suited to the 'solo' traveller.

Our room had a "Living room" with a kitchen, a bedroom and a small bathroom.

The rooms are small as most from the depression era.

Though the room was small, it was just fine for two people.

The rooms were small and the beds uncomfortable.

However, our room was small and as mentioned, it looked as if the room had  not been updated since the 1930's.

We stayed in the Shirley Temple room which was quite small

The lobby and casino were super quiet (we were there on a weeknight).

but I lost my ARSE playing at the casino.

I stayed at the Hoover Dam Lodge and Casino this fall, as they had a special rate for a nearby recreational event at Lake Mead’s Boulder Beach.

but I did walk around the lobby and casino area.

The hotel has a restaurant, casino, general store and excellent customer service.

If you like to go to the casino they have several areas to play in.

The Lodge is a casino on its main level, and the hotel keeps its main floor very nice and up to date.

The casino is a good mix of inviting and relaxing.

We made our way around the fairly large hotel, visiting each of the casino sections that have their own little food booths.

There is a small casino and several small restaurants downstairs adjacent to the casino.

I tried my luck on several of the hotel's casino slot machines, and finally found one that rewarded me nicely.

There are many themed restaurant, fun shops and a casino all within the lodge.

The shop, restaurants and Casino here are brilliant!

We would definitely stay at the Hoover Dam Lodge again.

The location was close to the Hoover Dam.

Beautiful view of Lake Mead and easy access to Hoover Dam from this Hotel.

We stayed here for two nights to boat on Lake Mead and visit the Hoover Dam.

This was a stopover for us between Zion NP and Death Valley so gave us the opportunity to visit the Hoover Dam and look over Lake Mead.

The lobby is supper cool with Hoover Dam history making it family friendly.

Lots of really neat pictures of Hoover Dam being built.

Close to Hoover Dam, and very close to Historic Boulder City, this place is a nice respite from the cacaphony in Vegas.

If you're looking for a lodge nearby the Hoover dam, this is a right place to book.

But, another added bonus is the Historic Railroad trail leading from here to the Hoover Dam is right behind the Lodge so i was able to walk it in the morning.

The Hoover Dam Lodge is a great place to visit.

The lobby and casino were clean, cooled nicely by the A/C, had interesting history about Hoover Dam.

.it was literally a couple of minutes drive to Hoover Dam and about 5-7 min drive into Boulder City, NV which is a cute smaller town with a great vibe in its downtown district.

Your about 35 minutes away from the vegas strip in some rural country, nearby Hoover Dam.

Check in was quick and efficient and they did not mind us leaving our trailer in their (free) parking area the next day while we visited the Hoover Dam.

We stayed in the Hoover Dam Lodge while visiting the Hoover Dam and Boulder City.

Stayed at the hoover dam lodge, seventh floor room over looking lake mead.

Got there to have a great location near Vegas, Valley of Fire and Hoover dam.

so mix that with a clean environment with reasonably priced food and fantastic proximity to both hoover dam and lake meade,.

It's very close to the Hoover Dam which was great as we wanted a tour of the dam.

For us the location was perfect as it’s close to hoover dam, on the highway to grand Canyon (south entrance) and after Las Vegas in this case.

but this is handy for saving a few bucks and close to Hoover Dam for a visit there, near to Lake Mead and the Valley of Fire (which is awesome!

We found this hidden gem near Hoover Dam that's an easy drive to Vegas, Lake Mead or Laughlin.

Handy for late arrivals at Las Vegas and Hoover Dam itself very near for a visit.

This hotel is the closest one to Hoover Dam.

We spent a night here before going on to another location because it was close to Hoover Dam which we were going to the next day.

We wanted to stay close to Hoover Dam and stayed at the Lodge,  We were on the 16th floor and the room and view were way beyond our expectations for the price.

This Lodge is very close to the Hoover Dam and Lake Mead National Recreation Area and is the only lodging choice for miles around.

Located close to Hoover dam if you want to do a tour, they even offer helicopter tour from the edge of parking lot.

Make sure to bring your charger plug for your phone.

Numerous guests get harassed from local patrons for playing certain machines call them vulgar names to get them off their so-called machines.

I do not know how they had overlooked our reservation, as we spoke with the Hoover Dam Lodge reservation agent (Angela) directly, on the phone.

I just asked Anna to call her supervisor Ester and she said no.

No one answered the phone when trying to contact them.

Even had trouble loading some shopping sites, so I had to use my hotspot on my phone

but not what we call beneficial white noise.

My phone calls to management were not returned.

NO CALLS BACK, NO RESPONSE, I SUSPECT NO INVESTIGATION.

Also, I had a really hard time getting cell service in the room and the bathroom floor could have used a good cleaning.

When I tried calling back FIVE TIMES at around 11pm (way after any rush) I kept getting stuck in the "phone tree" or just flat out hung up on.

Only the electrical plugs with the coffee pot and hair dryer carry enough electricity to properly charge ipads and phones, the other outlets do nothing.

They had me call booking.com and then the website called them.

I had to go out to the middle of the parking lot to get a cell signal for phone calls.

but very large servings for inexpensive prices.

On the positive, the cafe and prices were great!

They were very kind to reimburse us for our paid stay.

We ate in the main restaurant and while the menu was simple, the burgers were very good and reasonably priced.

There was a view of Lake Mead - the only place we stayed on this trip that actually gave us a promised view and the price wasn’t bad.

It was a nice way to also avoid the high cost of staying somewhere like the Las Vegas Strip on a Saturday night.

Their cafe has a good variety with prices that won't kill your pocket book.

We have an AARP membership, which entitles us to receive an additional 10% off the booking price.

There is a nice cafe to eat at with a nice selection of items at very fair prices.

The room was clean and airy, there is a restaurant with great prices plus 3 fast food (Mexican, Hot Dog and traditional) places.

Had meal at big horn, great portions Attentive staff and good prices.

The rooms are reasonably priced and the boys enjoyed have a sleepover in a hotel!

It was a good value for the price we paid.

Cost was not especially cheap, just more reasonable than Vegas, which is not saying a whole lot.

Our room was huge with two king size beds and the rate was very reasonable having booked ahead of time.

The food was great and the price even better!

Older hotel, refurbished rooms, reasonably comfortable and reasonably priced.

Monday was a slow day for us and the machines were slower than the previous two nights.

I haven’t even gotten to my room yet because the check in desk is ridiculously slow.

Front desk took 1/2 hour to check us in because the 2  front desk personnel were untrained and slow.

Beds are uncomfortably firm - I really hurt my back as a result, the shower has low pressure and poor water flow, the toilet clogs, and the WiFi is unreasonably slow.

The WIFI wasn't great, was very slow and often didn't work

under a new owner, rates double to $100/per night, room did not have a dresser, air condition loud & not consistent, TV was so blurry hard to watch,  update needed wallpaper was peeling, shower was slow (hubby said he could get more spray from a rain storm), staff ok made excuses 'remodeling, 12th flood finished

The wifi is painfully slow and disconnects constantly.

The place was clean and the bathroom was nice, the channels for TV are very limited and the Wi-Fi is not secured so it is very very very slow.

Hotel's free ,WiFi bandwidth is limited, and somewhat slow, and cell service inside the hotel is not existent (AT&T).

Front desk process is slow during peak times.

Internet was slow and dropped connection a lot.
