Overall, the cabana room worked out very well for us and was much more quite than the original 46 rooms.

I stayed in the Cabana Suites, which is actually across Ogden Ave from the main building.

If you want a room with a cool redux of 70s chic, stay in the cabana suites.

I was so happy to have found the Cabana Suites at the El Cortez.

I had previously stayed there and really liked the Cabana Suites and the Casino.

Have stayed here prior and wanted to try the Cabana Suites.

There were several areas one could stay, the Vintage area (which are only accessible by stairs), Pavilion area, Cabana area (which is across the street off the main property) and the area I stayed at, the tower.

But my own experience with the Cabana was good overall, and some other friends who traveled said they liked the (remodeled) Tower.

There is a beautiful hotel annex across the street called the Cabanas and we stayed there.

Cabana suites are a nice new addition to this place.

We chose a cabana suite which was located in a separate building across the road.

Would recommend for couples or families as they have all kinds of rooms and cabanas across the street.

I used the fitness center located across the street where the Cabana Suites are located and it was adequate.

We got an amazing rate online the same day and when we arrived we were upgraded to the Cabana suites across the street.

The newest  accomodations are the Cabana Suites across Ogden, deliciously quiet, and delightfully decorated in art deco lime green, and black and white.

Years ago when I discovered El Cortez's Cabana suites I felt like I had a great value downtown.

The tower rooms offer a nice writing desk (the one in cabana is too high for a usable desk) and central air/heat (cabana uses an in-wall unit).

Overall definitely worth staying at El Cortez cabana suites.

We enjoy the cabana suites that are across the street very retro.

Our stay at The El Cortez was clean , secure & the staff were friendly & attentive.

It was very nice - clean, remodeled/modernized, and spacious.

The housekeeping staff are lovely and keep the rooms neat and clean.

The front desk supervisor clearly lied to us when we indicated that there were no rooms available, and then had the audacity to try and charge me for the larger suite price for the remaining 3 nights in a petite room.

My biggest complaint is the players card was easily defective, I went through 4 cards.

but perhaps they could invest in card readers instead.

I would have given them 5/5 if wasn't for the washrooms in the premium tower room for having to wear a wristband and for charging a resort fee when they really are not offering anything.

Through a bevvy of charges, I am left several days later with my debit card charged the full amount and my credit card authorized for $520.

After a 7 day stretch they charged us a daily $25 fee for staying past 7 days.


*****HOTEL GUESTS BEWARE***** returned from Las Vegas 13 hours ago & had a $150 charge on my credit card for "room damage" from El Cortez.

My charge card was billed an additional 97 bucks with no invoice or explanation of charges to back it up.

Those two charges El Cortez never apologized for their mistake.

though I had the worst experience last stay with the front desk that don't know how to work systems, the older man for overcharging me almost 3 times on my card and being treated very rudely from woman in office, 2 people not knowing how to print up boarding passes.

Concerning the food comps, there is an additional carry out charge that is not comped.

That’s the only negative so far, I’m just waiting to see why they charged me $44 and then $70 for the room.

I promptly threw the players card on his desk and will never set foot in the Cortez again.

You show your room card (or proof of reservation) when entering the parking garage, and scan it when selecting your floor on the elevator.

It’s close to everything on Fremont Street, easy to get anywhere Downtown, while being a quiet place to stay.

We picked this hotel to be near Fremont street action with easy access and to be away from the 3 stages late noises on Fremont.

It's extremely close to the Fremont Street Experience and the art district so perfect for nightlife with the crowds and traffic on the strip.

We had an issue with our room safe.

I also enjoyed my vacation time as the El Cortez has a great variety of games to play and is close to the Fremont Street Experience downtown.

Very close to Fremont Street the old Las Vegas, easy bus links to visit the New Las Vegas Strip area 7 miles approx away.

We stayed because of the closeness to Fremont Street, and of course the price.

I enjoy the fact that the Fremont Street experience is close to this place and I have always felt safe walking back and forth.

However, we were pleased with our view of the canyons north of Vegas, the LiB festival, and proximity to Fremont Street Experience.

The majority of the dealers are friendly and enjoy a chat while you play.

She’s sweet and friendly and remembers me every time, which means a lot.

Fortunately, once I found the right location the lady there was absolutely lovely, friendly, and sympathetic.

Gambling rules are fair, service is friendly and attentive, clientele is a fun and earthy mix of tourists, locals, and biz folks.

El Cortez staff was friendly and polite and updated tower suite rooms are nice and comfortable.

Stayed in Original 47 rooms, good price and easy on wallet compared to many other strip and fremont st area hotels.

The prime rib special was delicious particularly for the price.

Our room was better than I expected, we booked a tower  premium room, which had 2 large king-size beds.

The food at Siegel’s was good & reasonably priced.

Three things I like best about this hotel: the price, the location and the free parking.

The staff at the "El" treat you like family & casino has amazing some of the best blackjack tables in Vegas, that still pay 3-2.

though i paid for south view from which you were supposed to be able to see the strip.

To be totally transparent, I chose bas d on price first, reviews second, and location a close third.

Overall, a decent value for the price in Downtown Vegas.

Luckily were were able to cancel and the reservation staff at El Cortez got us a better room for a better price.

The only good part about it is the price is good and it’s a great location.

We stayed in the newly renovated premium rooms and it was great and the view was also.

We stayed in a Tower Premium King with a view of to the south of the strip.

I first booked a room in the Pavilion since they are the cheapest

They also have a spa and massage room with very reasonable rates.

The blackjack tables are great and pay 2:1, the staff was enjoyable and you can even still feed quarters to the the old one arm bandits in this place.

We really enjoyed our stay here and it was not expensive at all.

We would stay here again: decent room prices, great customer service, nice location, free parking, clean & comfy rooms, and real history!

Loved the hotel and casino, and the restaurants served good food.

You have 1 restaurant, and still, you could not ensure you have sufficient wait staff.??

lol There are several restaurants that are linked to the El Cortez where you can use your comps which is nice.

Air conditioning worked really well, housekeeping staff was easily available during working hours, food at siegals was good - we eat there both breakfast and dinner.

The rooms have all been totally refurbished to a high standard and the food in the cafe ( segals 41) is superb, I recommend the prime roast rib.

Loved the casino, restaurant was ok. 10 seconds from downtown Vegas which was the highlight for us.

It's also close to interesting eats like Evel Pie, and the container park which features interesting art installations, unique boutiques, and restaurants.

Had the Roast beef dinner special in the restaurant and it was great.

I also met my favorite cocktail waitress in all of Las Vegas there—Lupe, who has worked there for 40+ years.

Right on top of Fremont Ave so there’s loads of eating, gambling, and entertainment options there.

Again the meal was fantastic the service was excellent and the dessert was super.

The (relatively) new owner (Kenny Epstein) has invested TENS of MILLIONS into this property over the last few years, renovating rooms, the casino, and restaurants.

There are many restaurants within walking distance, as well as the bus which will take you to The Strip (FYI it can get very crowded).

We loved the hotel lounge and restaurant  .

Everything is walkable, excellent tacos 24 hours a day, easy to park, and the only place where we won a little.

As mentioned by others, the Tower Rooms are very nice and spacious.

but the hotel staff were very welcoming, we were allocated our room and given a wristband which was our room key.

This stay started wonderfully with the Executive Housekeeper decorating our room beautifully for my wife’s birthday.

Bed was comfortable, and this was our favourite room so far (801), spacious and close to the elevator.

Pros: room was spacious, remodel with a modern look.

The EC is has a great old-school casino and the newly renovated rooms are a delight.

Had a large room with a great king bed, very comfortable.

First of all, the rooms are very reasonably priced for Las Vegas, much less expensive than some of the other big named hotel/casino properties on the strip.

We stayed in one of the Original 47 rooms dating to 1941, it was spacious and quiet, and recently remodelled with an amazing vintage charm.

They were very accomidateing in moving me to the Tower room.

First time at this casino and hotel the room was ok

I would honestly stay here again if I was in a room away from that club.

The smell was so bad, I could not stand to gamble there.

Aside from the bad smells (the elevator smells of urine) and the lumpiest mattress of my lifetime, the worst part was being awakened by aggressive banging on my room door by a shabbily dressed security officer (wrinkled shirt and ratty uniform) who insisted he had to take me down to the front desk - that I had not paid.

I Asked for an extra pillow & was told they had only one & it was “nasty” (per housekeeping).

The bad:  the whole hotel smells like smoke, including the non smoking rooms.

Terrible smell of cleaner throughout the hall and rooms, No hot water in shower any time we showered.

The kicker- rolled up tissue balls with poop on them left from people wiping in the bathroom.

The entire building smells like smoke anyway.

only six tables in the smaller area, smoky and grungy, and a few 10 splitters due to low stakes.

They should be happy anyone still comes in the smoky smelly old casino!!!

The Casino was musty from cigarette smell and the area of the strip is definitely the old part of town,

The light shined urine all around the toilet walls- just gross.

No more dingy carpets and smoke stained walls.

Also, you can play blackjack and not worry that some gross smelling homeless guy is gonna sit down next to you.

This hotel is old, out of date, smells funky, and nothing works!

No smoking room reaked if marijuana because of people on patios and then coming through bathroom vent.

I walked in the doors of the El Cortez and I was immediately amazed when I wasn't smacked in the face with the stench of cigarette smoke.

I didnt complain about the tub or smoking room as I only stayed one night.

The heater/AC was full of dust, the carpets were full of dust balls, the bathroom floor was filthy.

but emitted a very strong odor of an air freshener that barely masked the smell of smoke.

Nearby casino/hotels include Golden Spike and the new Downtown Grand.

I stayed here for a couple of nights and everything was as you would expect from a Premier Inn: Clean, comfy bed and friendly staff.

The bed and pillows were so comfortable and the room and bathroom were very clean.

Probably my favourite hotel at Heathrow, I had room 680 which had an amazing runway view :) The bed was comfy and clean with no issues at all.

This airport hotel was a excellent place to stay before an early morning flight.

The room was everything we needed for a good nights sleep and a quick shower/coffee in the morning before our early flight to Qatar.

If you have a late or early flight then a short walk with a trolley to this hotelTerminal 4 is all that is required.

Excellent hotel for a overnight stay If you have a early morning flight and only a brisk walk to terminal 4 and from the car park.

It took all the stress out of catching an early flight out of Heathrow Airport.

The room was clean, comfortable and quiet,the staff friendly and helpful, and the walkway to Terminal 4 made arriving in time for an early flight simple and stress-free.

This hotel was a breeze for our early morning flight back to australia.

I will certainly be returning here again and would highly recommend it to anyone catching an early flight from Heathrow or simply visiting London (as I was) and enjoy the (off-peak) commute into the city centre.

All in all I had a decent stay at a reasonable price.

Big 5 stars for the staff at the Premier Inn - a bargain price to stay, and great staff. Managers.

Highly recommended, and transfer shuttles to nearby terminals are not too costly if you want somewhere to stay nearby Terminal 3 or Terminal 2.

This hotel is very reasonably priced, impeccably clean and has wonderfully friendly staff.
