A thoroughly enjoyable stay that I would highly recommend  The only downside was the lack of shelves for you bathroom toiletries -

but there were some rooms "sponsored" across the hall with spectacular bathroom upgrades and lovely antique furniture.

They are renovating the rooms I guess; mine - reserved indirectly - was quite spartan and with a MINUSCULE bathroom (you could not sit on the toilet unless the door was closed….

The bathroom was very small and accessing the toilet could be problematic for large people.

My only complaint is the soap and shampoo provided need to be a bit more soapy.

That was balanced by cracks in ceiling, no refrigerator, almost non-existent WIFI, outdated plumbing, inoperative ice machine, closed on-site restaurant, small shower and no ground floor rooms.

The soap, shampoo, etc were in dispensers, except there was no shampoo and the rest were hard to get out.

Bathroom door looked like it had been attacked with a weed eater around the bottom edges.

Our room and bathroom were small and tired looking.

This is a really old hotel so do not expect large bedrooms or bathrooms.

The fan in the bathroom was operated by  the light switch and was quite noisy.

The valve in the shower gave us some issue and the ring on the door know for the bathroom needs some screws.

The bathroom door was a bit scuffed though.

however, was exceptionally tight and some people might have a lot of difficulty using the toilet due to the very limited space between it and the basin.

The rooms are also in keeping; small (for the US), with simple décor, small (for the US) beds, small bathrooms (come to that, small bathtubs.

The Boulder Dam Inn is a nice historic hotel if you can overlook some of the issues/ quirks that are inherent in an old hotel: small rooms, small bathrooms, thin walls.

Went up to the room and spent almost 30 minutes under the hot shower trying to loosen up my back and legs.

The rooms have character, the beds are comfortable, the bathrooms small.

The museum of the Hoover dam construction is very good and adds to the lovely atmosphere.

If you are planning to visit the Hoover Dam, this is a great location nearby.

The 'in house' Hoover Dam museum is great.

but to learn about the history on how the hoover dam was built.

The museum is well worth visiting and the Hoover Dam is only a few miles away so it’s a great base.

There was also an interesting museum in the hotel regarding the building of the Hoover Dam.

Note, the hotel  around the time they were building the Hoover Dam.

It was built to support the building of the Hoover Dam so it is quite historic.

This hotel was only about 30 minutes from the strip, and was clean, well run and managed, and in a good area near Hoover Dam.

I liked the history associated with the hotel and their museum was very interesting.. Great location also for visiting the Hoover Dam.

We had an idea there was a story connecting the hotel with Hoover Dam,

Very close to Las Vegas and the Hoover Dam.

And take the time for a short history lesson about the great Hoover Dam.

The Hoover Dam museum is in the hotel, so that is an interesting activity if in the area.

Always a pleasant stay in this town filled with antique stores, galleries, art, and sculpture; and with one of the wonders of the world, Hoover Dam, just a few minutes away.

It is also very close to Hoover Dam and Las Vegas.

I was just planning to visit the Hoover Dam.

There is also a free museum telling the history of Hoover Dam!

Wish that we had stayed in a more modern place with a pool.

There is no pool which we were fine with.

The staff, Teri and Johneen were friendly and very helpful, if you are looking to gamble or need a pool for the kids, may not be your choice

Bathroom was tiny, no place for toiletries.

They are NOT kidding about hot water and small bathrooms.

Very small room and very small bathroom you nearly had to empty the Boulder Dam before you got a "not so hot shower".

Note:* the bathrooms are very small in the Queen rooms, hence, they are better suited to the 'solo' traveller.

Our room had a "Living room" with a kitchen, a bedroom and a small bathroom.

Though the room was small, it was just fine for two people.

The rooms were small and the beds uncomfortable.

However, our room was small and as mentioned, it looked as if the room had  not been updated since the 1930's.

We would definitely stay at the Hoover Dam Lodge again.

The location was close to the Hoover Dam.

Beautiful view of Lake Mead and easy access to Hoover Dam from this Hotel.

I stayed at the Hoover Dam Lodge and Casino this fall, as they had a special rate for a nearby recreational event at Lake Mead’s Boulder Beach.

We stayed here for two nights to boat on Lake Mead and visit the Hoover Dam.

This was a stopover for us between Zion NP and Death Valley so gave us the opportunity to visit the Hoover Dam and look over Lake Mead.

The lobby is supper cool with Hoover Dam history making it family friendly.

Lots of really neat pictures of Hoover Dam being built.

Close to Hoover Dam, and very close to Historic Boulder City, this place is a nice respite from the cacaphony in Vegas.

If you're looking for a lodge nearby the Hoover dam, this is a right place to book.

But, another added bonus is the Historic Railroad trail leading from here to the Hoover Dam is right behind the Lodge so i was able to walk it in the morning.

The Hoover Dam Lodge is a great place to visit.

The lobby and casino were clean, cooled nicely by the A/C, had interesting history about Hoover Dam.

.it was literally a couple of minutes drive to Hoover Dam and about 5-7 min drive into Boulder City, NV which is a cute smaller town with a great vibe in its downtown district.

Your about 35 minutes away from the vegas strip in some rural country, nearby Hoover Dam.

Check in was quick and efficient and they did not mind us leaving our trailer in their (free) parking area the next day while we visited the Hoover Dam.

We stayed in the Hoover Dam Lodge while visiting the Hoover Dam and Boulder City.

Stayed at the hoover dam lodge, seventh floor room over looking lake mead.

Got there to have a great location near Vegas, Valley of Fire and Hoover dam.

Make sure to bring your charger plug for your phone.

I do not know how they had overlooked our reservation, as we spoke with the Hoover Dam Lodge reservation agent (Angela) directly, on the phone.

I just asked Anna to call her supervisor Ester and she said no.

No one answered the phone when trying to contact them.

Even had trouble loading some shopping sites, so I had to use my hotspot on my phone

but not what we call beneficial white noise.

My phone calls to management were not returned.

NO CALLS BACK, NO RESPONSE, I SUSPECT NO INVESTIGATION.

Also, I had a really hard time getting cell service in the room and the bathroom floor could have used a good cleaning.

When I tried calling back FIVE TIMES at around 11pm (way after any rush) I kept getting stuck in the "phone tree" or just flat out hung up on.

Only the electrical plugs with the coffee pot and hair dryer carry enough electricity to properly charge ipads and phones, the other outlets do nothing.

They had me call booking.com and then the website called them.

I had to go out to the middle of the parking lot to get a cell signal for phone calls.

Reception desk was single handedly being run by a woman while a queue formed then a young man came out who seemed to rush through everything whilst answering the phone rudely, just to put potential customers on hold.

After a long day on the lake we wanted to come back and swim in the pool.

Pool was good and quite shaded which was nice when travelling with children.

We had the pool to ourselves around 6pm, was very nice and towels are provided.

The staff was very attentive and provided everything we needed, including towels for the pool as we checked in.

Pool in the evening was a great place for kids

Would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone on a road trip in area

They have pool tables and a neat atmosphere with animal exhibits and a mining table.

The pool is nice and the pool furniture is well maintained.

I was facing the parking and the outside pool: it was really quiet.

This hotel offers great views, large spacious rooms, shopping, casinos, a bar, a nice pool area, and lots of large parking for big trucks as well.

I wish we were here another night to take advantage of the walking trail and pool.

There is a hiking trail directly behind the hotel itself, and there is a pool for relaxing after all of your day’s activities.

Then we can clean up and head to the pool!

The in house prices, even the room service, were very reasonable ($1.39 for a huge coffee, for example) 

We loved the pool, our room, the complimentary snacks and water in the room, the view from the grounds and the hotel itself 

Top Tips.

The pool and hot tub were relaxing and breakfast in the cafe was better than expected.

There was a swimming pool which we used in the evening and at breakfast.

This hotel features casinos, food vendors, a pool, complimentary snack-size candy bars and bottled water as well as the usual room amenities.

Monday was a slow day for us and the machines were slower than the previous two nights.

I haven’t even gotten to my room yet because the check in desk is ridiculously slow.

Front desk took 1/2 hour to check us in because the 2  front desk personnel were untrained and slow.

Beds are uncomfortably firm - I really hurt my back as a result, the shower has low pressure and poor water flow, the toilet clogs, and the WiFi is unreasonably slow.

The WIFI wasn't great, was very slow and often didn't work

under a new owner, rates double to $100/per night, room did not have a dresser, air condition loud & not consistent, TV was so blurry hard to watch,  update needed wallpaper was peeling, shower was slow (hubby said he could get more spray from a rain storm), staff ok made excuses 'remodeling, 12th flood finished

The wifi is painfully slow and disconnects constantly.

The place was clean and the bathroom was nice, the channels for TV are very limited and the Wi-Fi is not secured so it is very very very slow.

Hotel's free ,WiFi bandwidth is limited, and somewhat slow, and cell service inside the hotel is not existent (AT&T).

Front desk process is slow during peak times.

Internet was slow and dropped connection a lot.

The shower was an incredibly slow drain and began to back up onto the floor.

First, it is very slow loading (and we have the fastest speeds available on our home internet connection).

Also there is smoking in the casino, I did not know that when we booked the room,

One room smelled like sour milk-disgusting.

When we ran the a/c, it smelled like urine.

Unfortunately they still allow smoking within the hotel, to which was a complete turn off!

So a wasted night, a smelly hotel, and no internet.

Also, there was a grossly stained chair in the room, the bathroom smelled of cigarettes (which became a smell in the rest of the room once the AC had to be shut off).

Not to mention we have to wait in a smoky lobby because the casino is open to the lobby and smoke is drifting over.

There is a casino inside this lodge and on the 2nd floor there is a bingo room - one side smoking - one side not.

Only reason that I am not giving 5 stars is because of smoke, and that is not the fault of the hotel.

It was quite and the smoke smell was very low for getting  there on a Friday night.

The rooms were dated, the shower didn’t drain and the room smelled musty and a hint of smoke.

Although the cigarette smoke hits you when you first walk into the lobby, there was no smell in the room.

So if you like to gamble and smoke, this may be a good option.

though we had a nonsmoking room, the entire building smells smoky and musty.

We checked the pool and the doors were locked, and they didn't open with the room key card, so we walked back to the desk.

We were concerned that we would still get the tap on the door,

The maid bangs on the door every morning at 8am.

the person on the other end had to calmed me down, as nothing I did would open the doors.

However, the noise continued until 6:40 a.m. when the man finally seemed to fall asleep for a short period before waking again and continuing (at one point opening the door and yelling "yeah keep looking ahead you dumb white [b-word]" to someone.

The flip lock on the main door of our room was busted off.

but it was like staying at hotel expect your door is outside.

The walls are so thin you could hear coughing next door.

but the screws holding it on were ready to fall out; there was toothpaste on the back of the bathroom door; and the tub drained slowly; the shampoo, conditioner, and soap dispensers were empty.

To tell the truth I was concerned as we pulled up and the doors were facing outside instead of a hall and stairways instead of elevators.

Unfortunately the only complaint I have is I was woken up by the maid service at 9 o’clock so warning I guess I could’ve prevented it by putting the privacy door hanger on LOL

The bed is firm with springs pushing upwards and lots of light coming into the room through the windows and door seam,
When you look at the pictures on their web site it appears as if they have blackout curtains,

You hear all the footsteps, all the doors opening, closing. everything!

Got up to find a group of men outside our door leaning on our vehicle with beer and smoking.

The rooms walls are very thin and you can hear normal conversations from the next door rooms.

We were not sure what to expect, and received a very pleasant surprise when we opened the door to our room!

We could see daylight between the door jamb and the door.

Each day they started cleaning rooms around 730 to 8 AM and the sidewalk outside the rooms are like a cobblestone so you hear everything like the window was open or the door is cracked open, that’s how much you can hear, and the walls are paper thin so you can hear everything so if you’re an early riser it’s no big deal

but also a pub with live music and restaurant literally next door.

Easy check-in, delicious breakfast included, comfortable and clean rooms, and easy access to the downtown area and the Hoover Dam.

The Hoover Dam Motel is reasonably priced and quite clean.

but stopped at the Hoover Dam Best Western so I could get my work done.

Convenient hotel for visits to Lake Mead and Hoover Dam.

We stayed here for one night while visiting the Hoover Dam which is a short, easy drive from here.

Enjoyed our stay at the Best Western Hoover Dam in historic Boulder City.

I called the Hoover Dam hotel a day and half in advance to cancel a room on a monday.

but wonderful experiences and every single one of these hotels except for this Hoover Dam Boulder city location.

This is a great location to stay for Hoover Dam and Lake Mead,

Perfect place to stay while visiting Hoover Dam.

This is the second stay I have at the Best Western Hoover Dam Hotel during the past two years.

Great location outside of Las Vegas and close to the Hoover Dam.

I would recommend this location is you want to visit the hoover dam.

It is close to Hoover dam and Lake Mead Recreational area.

I was satisfied, the room was clean and located in a nice area close to the Hoover end dam, I also liked the breakfast, you can get the breakfast included with the rate or use the credit to upgrade your breakfast, the pool is indoors

In the evening we walked over by the pool area to enjoy a beer and a cigar, we had the dog so just sat on a provided bench, not near the fire pit.

Fitness center is amazing and the pool and spa were clean and family friendly.

We hung out at the fire pit that evening just to relax and it was next to the indoor pool.

The hotel was clean, the pool was open until 11:00 p.m. which was a big plus for my twin boys, and the complimentary breakfast across the street at Southwest diner was great as well.

The indoor pool was clean and refreshing.

They have an indoor swimming pool and jacuzzi, and a great outdoor sitting area with a glass fire pit next to the pool area.

The pool was open – and looked very clean,

Pools are always clean.

They have a nice indoor pool for those who swim.

Pool is great for the kids, and jacuzzi was nice.

Any noise I did hear was from people in the hall from other customers.For some reason they have music blasting out of the lobby to the parking lot.

Breakfast room ran out of hot make-your-own-waffles by 8:30 AM and when guests were asking about it, the breakfast attendant was loudly dismissive and impatient in her response.

Very tired hotel, extremely noisy air conditioning, pokey bathroom with soap dispensers that don't work, old bed, small rooms.

the insulation between rooms was near paper thin and I could hear the guests above me until midnight both nights and I could hear someone in the room next to me moaning late at night.

The walls and floors are paper thin with very little insulation.

but no insulation between rooms so conversations and tv's could be heard.

Seems like there is no insulation between walls, can hear conversations from the rooms around us.

Bar or something on premise a little noisy

It's disturbing that a company like Best Western would rather make money then ensure its customers are healthy and safe.

However the room was not quiet as you could hear the conversations of the  people in the rooms next to ours clearly.

Walls are wafer thin, place is very noisy, extremely disruptive at all hours of the night.
