When I went to Gold Spike as a Vegas native I felt like they decided that their presidency was way to obnoxious for me to want to come back for a staycation.

We absolutely loved staying at the Oasis at Gold Spike.

The Oasis at Gold Spike is literally one of the most horrible hotel experiences I have ever had.

Oasis at Gold Spike was where me and my partner took our first trip to Vegas.

We've stayed at the Oasis at Gold Spike multiple times.

The stay here has being so amazing and accommodating, the Gold Spike staff is very friendly and assisting.

Very accommodating staff and nice rooms overlooking a clean nice sized pool, not to mention my backyard is the Gold Spike hangout and game area which I thought was cool.

I’ve had such a nice experience here at the Oasis @ Gold spike - excellent hotel staff service - with one amazing Staff member named Jeme G, that always checked up on me and my requests!

The Oasis at the Gold Spike is always a great place to stay.

We enjoyed a lovely game night/staycation at the Oasis at Gold Spike.

Oasis @ Gold Spike was an amazing & friendly experience.. great customer service.. Jeme was very nice and helpful.. great deal for such a clean & quite room.. the only place I’m going from now on .. plus being pool side even in the cold weather can’t be beat..

Also as you are above a nightclub you will hear loud music and lots of people talking all hours of the night.

You have to walk through the nightclub dance floor & pool tables to get to the elevators in the tower, security holds you back until the floor is somewhat clear then waves you through.

The room smells like cigarettes, there are so much noise coming from the bar and parties outside.

This hotel is on top of a nightclub and is VERY loud.

The hotel was clean & fun, a little loud if your room faces the backyard & it's kinda silly that the bouncers won't let you leave the elevator without an escort,

They also fail to tell you that you have to walk through the loud club to get to your room at the end of every night instead of using the hotel entrance that you are paying for!

Then the real fun began around 10pm, the neighbors next door effectively used their room as a disco, non stop loud music, people coming in and out, yelling belligerent people wandering the hall.

She warned us that it might be loud due to the club,

Club was not too loud, I slept really well.

There was no party the night it went leaving us to make our own

but prospective guests should know that on weekend nights the nightclub downstairs is so loud that the bed literally shakes.

In reality it’s because they’ve built a place for people to party, get absolutely blitzed and they know drunk people don’t remember anything, much less complain about what they don’t remember.

I like how when  you enter  the nightclub to get up to your room at night it feels like you're a celebrity lol.

The windows are not sound proof therefore, you hear the loud music playing at the Gold Spike at night.

And there was a nightclub on the first floor that kept most of us up until 3am.

Also, this property has an Outdoor Nightclub on site which the people on the other side of this hotel had the pleasure of hearing till 2am.

One issue I had was the loud music (from Oasis) that played well past midnight in this back 'play area'.

"We are trying to prevent a house party", is what I was told.

but give you vague dimsissive responses until you give up, im sure theyll reply to this with an automated answer asking me to contact them but not do a damn thing when i call but blame me, the construction, their lunch break, literally anything but them not doing their part to ensure their guests are treated fairly.

but I was so tired to come down and complain, since the front desk is so far away and they don’t have a phone to call.

Our room was pretty dirty and because none of the rooms have phones to call the front desk you have to walk all the way back there.

Had to call the bar to call someone at the front desk to come back 30 min later.

This was when I discovered there was no phone in the room.

There is no communication on the rooms to call the reception and tv was not working.

After the pool, I went outside in what they call the backyard to smoke a cigarette.

Like we mentioned before, the room has no Phone,

Zero amenities, no coffeemaker in room, no phone, no outlets for even their own lamps, cracked tv, bathtub didnt drain, I could go on.

I had to call hoteltonight to refund my room and switch me to a different property.

The very loud bumping club music started about 8 pm and went till about 5:30 am, when we called from our cell phones to reach the front desk we were informed “We are a night club on weekends, not a hotel!” Claimed it’s advertised as such on their site which it is not, it is described as a “Boutique Hotel” .

We arrived at the hotel at 5:45 am (after calling 2 days before to confirm check in).

Between the backed up sink, mini ironing board, level of noise from the club and no way to contact the front desk without walking down, (called with phone multiple times) I will not be staying here again.

After booking reservation for oasis we’re booking.com I had a problem with  not telling me about resort fees said that it was all included was on the phone two hours would’ve tried to cancel the room reservation and I got help from Jeme  Supervisor and Front desk Clerk casiana.

I used my cell phone to call the front desk to request maintenance to come and fix the problems.

Conveniently there is no phones in the rooms , so contact with management can only be done by walking to the other building.

but the pool looked fine, wasn't overcrowded and looked clean.

I recommend to stay in the new rooms by the pool, the rooms in the casino are not remodeled yet.

With the pool and the bar/plus the staff I’d say it’s worth it.

The rooms were clean and comfortable and the pool area was well maintained.

The night life and pool at this hotel is awesome

Having access to the pool was so convenient and the close location to Fremont Street is unbeatable.

It was a great atmosphere and the pool is lovely and well maintained.

The pool is nice not many people using it which is nice nice! 👍

They have a great pool and a gym to burn off the Vegas life choices.

The pool area is beautiful and the palm trees are picture perfect.Contact Brandy for all hotel needs they were great.

Great location with a super fun club that has a lot of games and pool tables and a outside terrace!

He opted for the upgraded suite with pool view.

Very clean and friendly nice house keepers nice view of the Fremont experience nice pool nice weather close to bus lines very nice restaurants pedestrians are friendly a lot of local bars and chapels.

There are two parts of this hotel: rooms by the pool and rooms in the tower.

The hotel is on top of a really popular bar with pool tables and games and a dj that was playing all the hits.

They have pool tables,  corn hole, giant jenga  and four square

Nightclub and bar open downstairs pool and gym are great too.

Also the parking was free which was a good benefit and great pool.

The noise level is high, the hotel provides bedside earplugs which is never a good sign.

You will be close to the action,  it can get a bit loud.

The rooms in the tower sit above the casino/nightclub and that can loud at night.

Parking lot has a lot of homeless traffic, so make sure to lock doors and leave nothing in your car.

People were packed into a tiny a lobby with no air movement for an hour +.

Then the noise from the club no wonder they give you ear plugs.

Our air conditioner did make unusually loud sounds, so we think that helped.

but its car noise that we heard the most.

Front desk staff is really friendly and helpful and yes, it does get a bit loud by the pool

Oh, and one more thing, don't believe the price--this is the Jet Blue of hotels.

The bathroom had mold, the heater was extremely noisy, homeless looking guest right outside her pool view room door smoking marihuana, with the smell wafting into her room and people hanging around out the front door of the hotel who look like gang members.

The air conditioning sounds like there's a monster coming out of the vent.

Just far enough from Fremont to avoid the insane noise while still 100% feeling like a fun hotel.

The room was clean, to much extra decor, it was noisy a lot of people walking passed and making noises all night housekeeping never came to clean my room and I stayed there for 2 days never got the $100 deposit back either

It is a bit noisy, so be prepared for sleepless nights (it's Vegas).

but unfortunately it did smell like stale smoke/weed (I don't blame the hotel for this as it is hard to police this) but it can be an issue to people when a sensitive nose.

The second room was just as dusty, stinky, furniture missing and in poor condition, and no toilet paper in the room.

Despite a no-smoking rule the whole 3rd floor smelled of cigarettes & pot,

I got stock and super late in Vegas because of an airline issues and I was exhausted, the room was smelling terrible.

But the tiny bathroom that floods every time the shower is turned on houses cockroaches, the base of the shower is cracked, the grout is and aged and really dirty, and there is a tile missing on the wall that leaves a lovely mould filled hole to add to the decor.

The night stands had peeling paint and cigarette burns along with dried food in it.

(Despite it being advertised as non smoking).

The smells alternated between a very strong chemical smell in the morning to a musty, wet smell in evening.

The room had plastic over the smoke detector and smelled like smoke,

The shower smelled like mildew and had visible mold.

Rooms were disgusting and pics are so deceiving.

Another guest was in the verge of tears her room was above the club and said it was nasty. 🤷‍♀️

We had read reviews and knew smells were noted.

You have to watch where you walk, or you may find yourself walking in urine or broken glass.

As my friend said, the place smelled like old cigarette smoke and disappointment.

Little did I know, the room was located directly across of the Gold Spike courtyard.

Across the street is the Oasis at Gold Spike.

You also have a lot of popular bars nearby on each side, hogs and heffers, the gold spike and is close to the fremont experience!

The furnace in the room squeaked so loud I had to turn it off completely.

I’ve never been to a hotel that prioritized party guests over hotel guests.

Loud music from Freemont is unavoidable, 

Not much gambling area so we had to play at another casino.

There seems to be no free drinks on casino floor unless you're playing tables.

but you can still hear music late into the night, with the bass notes being especially hard to drown out.

Even without the DJ playing late 80s hits to crowd of screaming bachelorettes, there's also motorcycles and loud cars making noises on the road right below you.

The 'music' blasted so loud we were unable to sleep, and at one point my phone vibrated off its charger and fell, cracking the screen.

Was not loud and noisey like other casinos in Las Vegas.

All these people complaining about loud music obviously forgot where they were vacationing at, vegas has many pool clubs with events at their pools.

One drawback was the loud music over the citrus pool area, which started quite early and could interfere with audio during meetings or calls.

Gave me a room overlooking the pool where they had a party playing music so loud not even the tv could drown it out, until 1 am.

The “upgrade” room was below the pool party that lasted until 1 am.

Next in the middle of the night from 10-3am there was music playing from spike casino…a discount should’ve have been given if you are putting people on that side of the hotel.

I only inquired about the theme of the pool party and he said that to me right in front of the pool manager.

I'm writing this as I sit in my hotel room which is rattling from the bass blasting from the pool deck several floors below.

I was up half the first night due to a band on fremont that went until midnight that was so loud it was thumping on the 19th floor.

There weren’t any pool parties going on the nights we were there,

but if I ever come back, I will definitely have to try out a suite because that side of the hotel has a great view of the hotel pool and other things that surround the area.

Mike, Manager of the pool area very cool - accommodated our wedding party at the pool on very short notice.

but like family !… the pool was great and the bed was super cumfy !..

We were on the 3rd floor which is the pool level and yet our room was very quiet.

The Citrus Pool at the Grand is also nice with great service and good prices.

If it rains they will close the pool for the day and not re-open it

They take the extra steps to make sure you're having the best experienceat the citrus pool side bar.

We stayed in the Gallery suite on the 3rd floor with great access to the pool and again wonderful bar/pool staff.

The highlight of my visit was the Citrus Pool Deck, great ambiance, friendly staff and a very observant and helpful management team.

And if you want to have a little bit more fun, the Citrus rooftop pool holds nightly events and concerts on the weekends.

Pool had good music and our cabana was great!

One of our favorite local pools is located at their hotel.

The street noise was so loud you had to have earplugs to sleep.

The noise from a party at the pool on a Thursday night was so loud we could hear it three hotel aisles away in our room.

The only noises we heard were foot steps from the room above.

We could hear all the sounds from everywhere around our room including music from the street, plumbing, and noise from other rooms and hallway.

Between finding your adorable little sticky note about the earplugs stuck to our mirror, no earplugs to be found, and the tissue box stuffed full of SOMEONE ELSES USED TISSUES it is incredibly clear that you dont clean your rooms.

Was a bit noisy, even with a room facing away from Fremont street.

You can hear the footsteps of the upstairs neighbors thundering.

They did not provide a “sound machine” to drown out the crap on Fremont St.

If any one in the room next to you or above you or in the street make any noise, you will hear every peep.

but you don’t get all the late night noise if you want to get a good nights sleep.

The suite was on the North side of the tower, away from all the noise of the Fremont Street Experience.

Waiting for the elevator at 10pm, someone was loudly wrenching in the ladies room.

They sent up 20 pair of earplugs, like if we kept shoving them in maybe we could pop our eardrums? Weak.

The only way to drown it out was to run the air conditioning on high and wear earplugs.

Downtown Grand Hotel

but with the window closed and AC on it barely noticeable.

They had the ac on full blast it was a very chill environment.

but the rooms are also very hot without updated AC units.

Wylde has individual AC in each room and the Fairway has a common AC you can’t control outside of the fan speed.

When we first checked in, we were sent to a room which had the window open, the bed unmade, and the A/C dismantled on the floor; we were told to leave and come back in an hour.

The only negatives were the air conditioner didn't work very well, & there was a constant drumming bass throughout the night.

It's older, old smelling rooms, NO AIR CONDITIONER, only a sliding window, which is scary being on the 1st floor.

but on top of that shower flooded onto the floor, gap under air conditioner, light in room didn’t work no Mirror in room only in bathroom.

The only thing I would suggest is the air conditioning in room only had an option for fan and it would get a little warm at times.

The central heat/air conditioning was a bit of a bother since it was very hot in our room without it on.

They said the boiler takes its time to move from air conditioning to heat.

but they do slide around a little bit (platform bed) and AC was loud, that’s the only reason I didn’t give all 5 stars, otherwise we enjoyed our stay.

Only issue was the fan in our room was quite loud you could turn it off

It’s one unit that controls the entire building and you can only control how hard the fan blows.

Now, they do not have temperature control thermostats, phones, microwaves, or a refrigerator in the rooms,

And air-conditioning is working in the courtyard was super noisy at night if you like the smell of urine and are OK with staying in a really cheap place, the downtowner is for you.

My husband had been out of the shower about 30 minutes and his feet looked like this.

but it seemed like it was coming from somewhere above/around the sink area.

Thick towels and every product you’d want - shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, lotion, soap.

It was like housekeeping did not clean the bathroom.

The bathroom door had to be yanked closed because it was sticky,

Don't get me started on the bathroom: YUK!

The walls are thin and water pressure was weak,

but basic and missing simple amenities like a 🪑 chair… go elsewhere for same price! !

but the rooms are more for sleeping and showering.

I couldn't even use the bathroom because the toilet didn't flush properly and the sink was clogged too.

though somebody came in from the street and used the bathroom, pretty disturbing.

So this meant no flushing of the toilet and rationing my drinking water.

The Showerhead height in the tub/shower is extremely low

Just had two issues:
We were unable to cold the water in the sink nor the shower.

Rooms should be fix more and less smelling and linen for bed need more work because it felt itchy and felt like things were crawling and toliet didnt flush

There sister property The Gold Spike at least has a casino charges that,

A nice pool across the street that was open 9am-9pm (most Strip pools are only open 9-5) and we had it all to ourselves in the middle of a warm afternoon.

Had a great time staying here great parking close to Fremont street and binions casino very well postponed area too they have an awesome put put if u stay here there's a pool across the street by the parking lot

They played music, have mini golf, a 24/7 bar, and a cute pool!

We had fun playing mini golf this morning and the swimming pool is amazing.

Loved the pool and mini golf course too for added fun!

The room was clean, the bed was a blessing after a 10+ hour trip, and we loved the facilities like the swimming pool and mini golf.

The pool was also located right across the street.

my kids enjoyed the pool it was sparkling and clean everytime we entered.

but great…easy check in, clean room, comfortable bed, quiet through the Saturday night, pool is refreshing and staff super cheerful n helpful

but small pool, clean premises and very friendly staff.
