A little expensive for your average hostel

We changed room 3 times due to their fluctuate room pricing.

I did think that the prices where a bit expensive and when I stayed there, i didnt really enjoyed the crowd that was there at the moment.

but they offer food, which is okay but slightly on the pricey side.

The only thing we noticed is that the kitchen is disappointing in comparison to the Costello Bello Began, that's why I can only rate it at three stars.

Of course the price is not cheap for Myanmar.

Everything is overpriced for a hostel and more expensive than local bars and restaurants. 3.

The company itself has a bad exchange rate when paying in kyat and also charges you're card days in advance despite my asking to pay in cash on booking.

I wanted only ask ,why the price was different,

The only complaint I would make is that the tour prices are misleading.

Just really poor value for the $35 we paid.

For laundry, the hostel charges a fortune and takes 24hrs to do it- if you need it.

.at 6:30 we could have breakfast for 3500kyats which is really expensive for 3 small toasts,

Given its overall cost I would suggest finding a hotel and having a growse night sleep for a cheaper price.

though as others have mentioned it is a bit overpriced - 1,500 for a can of Coke seems a bit much when it costs 500 kyat from a shop.

but not very good for isolation and noise.

if you prefer quiet hostels, this may not be for you.

If you go, be sure to bring those earplugs when you’re ready for bed.

10 noisy people from staff behind reception desk talking each other during check in (and in any other moment), no english spoken except a couple of them, that makes us feel as guests and not part of an hostel.

The receptionist then stated  the reason we would not be receiving the deposit, was due to a noise complaint about our party.

Only negatives were that rooms on the Main Street are really noisy and the AC seriously needed an overhaul.

The natives don't know the color Red; or the Hexagon shape; or the letters S,T,O,P for the traffic intersections are free for alls.

there is plugs next to the bed, black curtains to stop the light, you don't hear noise from outside or other rooms, fridge a desk and a wardrobe is there.

but I much prefer the vibe hostel in mandalay and the song of sound is better at inlay lake.

Nearly everything that you might need is given to you for free if you asked for it.

However, we would not recommend you to have a pick up service as the driver was not very nice, the man who escorted us from the airport to the car asked us for TIP which is not really have a better first impression.

Breakfast was cold and changed after request.

The weather was eh, so a few of us in the lobby just got together and asked the front desk to call us a cab for the day.

I again challenged this, and asked to speak directly to her manager - this did not happen.

Loses a point as I asked about buses to Bagan and was told it would be 15,000

It's really strange, I showed him my reservation from booking with the price and he answered me that It didn't mean anything, that it was my problem with Booking. Manager couldn't explain it calmly and with respect, he was rude, and all time asked me "what do you mean local price /currency, what is this?"

Our booking went from attending a wedding to attending a funeral.

Ray, the owner was friendly and helpful and let us check in early.

Ray let us park our car on site while we were away tramping.

The warm greeting from Ray set up our brief stay nicely and the room he gave us seemed modern.

Ray (manager) was very helpful and friendly and helped to make our stay a pleasure!

Ray the owner is extremely accommodating.

but immaculate -  unlike our tired, shabby rooms at the Brentwood in Kilbirnie last night which were similar vintage but no comparison.

but room was dated and beds definitely need upgrading (possibly fine if you aren't prone to a back ache).

This motel is perfectly located with a supermarket and nice restaurant within easy walking distance.

Ariki Lodge is close to the train and bus routes and less than a 2 minute walk to restaurants and supermarkets.

Very close proximity to food and supermarkets for dinner and breakfast.

5 minute walk to supermarket, food of all types, brewery yet still very peaceful.

The location is great, easy walking distance to bar, restaurants and supermarket.

This is a small Motel with 7 or units all on ground level and very close to the Waikanae shops, it sure is a fantastic location to get to the train station and go shopping with two supermarkets just 2 minates walk away as well as cafes , takeaways and restaurants.

There are 2 supermarkets close by which open at 7 AM - 10 pm daily so you can get what you need.

Fantastic location, quiet, and 2-5 minute walk to train station into Wellington, restaurants, grocery store.

The shops (those that were open) were only a few minutes walk away, as was the railway station, so everything was handy.

The rooms were very relaxing and quiet and breakfast catered for every need.

Peaceful and picturesque wineyards, charming and well kept gardens, nice designed rooms spiced up with delicious breakfast and cup of delightful coffee.

The winery itself is an interesting, quite and relaxing site, where you can spend enjoyable vacation.

The room facilities, the peaceful vineyard surroundings, altogether is very nicely put together and very beautifully manicured.

It is a beautiful setting with vineyards everywhere, and it is both peaceful and tranquil; a beautiful place to take walks and appreciate the art of wine growing .

The gardens outside  surrounded by the vineywards are just the place to sit and unwind in the afternoon with a bottle or so of the excellent wine produced on site at the winery.

I was surprised with one of the most relaxing and beautiful place I have ever stayed in.

Their warm and genuine hospitality, lovely accommodations, and peaceful setting, will guarantee to make anyone feel like they are at home.

The santome area is very impressive and there was nothing more relaxing than sitting on the patio overlooking the vineyard watching the sunset and enjoying a great bottle of wine.

Sitting late into the evening in the vineyard with a glass or three of these fine wines, is to experience total relaxation and harmony with nature.

The peaceful surroundings meant that I always had a great sleep and awoke, looking forward to the delicious breakfast of home made food.

We stayed here before many years ago and thought to come back just for their wonderful wine.

I highly recommend William Spinazzè and his Tenuta Santome to any wine lovers.

The estate is a wonderful place to relax, learn about the wines and to use as a base to discover the surrounding area which for us  included Treviso, the Conegliano area, Valdobbiadene, Asolo and, of course Venice.

Final touch of this trip is drinking their own wine in the backyard .

The wine -we had a bottle of red as well as  their prosecco- is great,

The wine is excellent and available (even with chilled whites) for purchase 24/7 in a special area for the BnB guests.

Sample the finest wines and Prosseco made in the winery from the grapes growing outside your window.

William & Alan are a dynamic brother duo, combining their passion for sustainable wine practices, agritourism and hospitality to provide an everlasting experience to their guests.

Of course - the wine and prosecco went down well too.

William, Alan and the family have invested passion and knowledge in wine making and provide excellence in managing this wonderful place.

Tasting their wine you would have better application for Prosecco (my favourite ) Pino Grigio and Rabbioso (my son & husband favourite ).

The comforts of the bedrooms are superb as are the wines.

The entire concept of the Tenuta Santome, nature around it, friendly staff, delicious wine made us drift away to a parallel universe.

The brothers that own the winery were attentive to our needs and William especially was very kind, explaining about their wine growing and production, providing us with a wine tasting opportunity, introducing us to his parents, and assisting us in many ways.

Great wines being produced and we were fortunate enough to have an extensive tour.

The prosecco is delicious as well as the different wines we were able to taste.

but but recently refreshed it had a modern feel in the perfect location for exploring the Marina, Torremolinos, Benalmadena and beyond

Room was in building 3 with a seaview.

Positives are that most of the staff were friendly and efficient and the hotel was in a good location within a short walk to the marina and nice promenade.

Excellent location right on the promenade close to shops, restaurants and the marina.

We are a couple in there 40s that had a fabulous 4 day holiday (away from the kids :p) 

The hotel is lovely, very clean and with an excellent beach front location only a few minutes away from the marina.

The room was great with views out over the marina and the Mediterranean.

The room had a great view of the marina, lovely breakfast selection and pool bar (loved the mojitos).

but swapped our evening meal for lunch as we prefer the dine out at night in the many wonderful restaurants the Marina has to offer.

Positives : Perfect location on the beach, close to the large marina restaurant precinct, and short walk to the lovely marble boulevard of Torremolinos with all its restaurants and shops.

You can walk out of the hotel straight onto the promenade with loads of shops, restaurants and a few minutes walk to the marina.

The front you can walk miles on, the marina and the beach.

We had the best stay, 10-13th of November, weather was 26 degrees , incredible , location of this hotel is perfect, staff amazing, beautiful pool areas, great entertainment, would absolutely recommend and will be back

Pool area is completely tiled with ample sun beds and umbrellas.

We have had amazing service room perfect and pool area lovely.

Other than that the pool area was chilled until late afternoon when there were some activities at the Play Bar - we enjoyed the music and appreciated the live DJs & percussionists.

The pool and areas were always clean, they could collect the glasses on a more regular basis as the ants love the drinks

Seen multiple fights at the pool area which were all responded to extremely slowly by the hotel staff.

The pool area is marshalled by a lifeguard, and there are strict rules regarding reserving sun beds.

Pool area was good and monitored for leaving your towels all day, all staff throughout the hotel was very good and friendly, we absolutely want to come back

Nice pool area and loads of sun loungers BUT it’s a big hotel and it can get very crowded, personally I don’t think the outside area is big enough for the size of the hotel.

For example: Access to the roof top pool is great as the main pool area is so busy and hard to get a bed.

The staff were excellent t from Daniel on reception to the lovely noelia and Sofia in the breakfast room and Rocio who gave and excellent service in the rooftop pool area .

The pool area was fantastic with an amazing view, we were able to get loungers and parasols no problem, the staff at the pool bar were excellent, also mixing our drinks and serving.🍸  
The entertainment by the pool was great from pool aerobics to running on the floating mat, spinning and then questions for the loungers to answer for a chance to win a drink of your choice  (I won one of those 😀) these guys really interacted with people Mario in particular was a gem, so friendly answering any question without hesitation..

The pool area is lovely with plenty loungers & towel hire.

The pool areas were beautiful, well kept & clean & the entertainment was great for children & great keep fit for the adults.

The real star is the roof top pool area and the real star is the girl who looks after this area,  Rocio,a true professional .

It’s a mega busy hotel, people everywhere and not quiet at any time, the cocktails are not worth the money, very weak and at €8 they are not worth it, if you want a proper cocktail go to a bar outside of the hotel.

BANGING ON THE DOOR AT 8.15 TO CLEAN YOUR ROOM WHEN YOUR ON HOLIDAY IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.

This is not an adult hotel only, so if you’re not happy with children and noise in the pool area,  then avoid.

However having said all that the hotel is very clean in the public areas and great entertainment during the day for children and adults if you like the constant sound of loud music.

A guy who played 3 drums and a symbol very loudly to backing tracks.

I'm an anxious person in social situations and the noise was overwhelming for me and I just wanted to get away.

Sounded like we could constantly hear other people’s toilet flushes too.

but were a bit unsure, as it was next to the lifts, but our fears were allayed, we didn't here a sound, and even when people were waiting for the lift.

We did not have an upgraded room so we faced the courtyard entrance which was noisy with groups coming and going as well as noise from the soccer fans enjoying the games at the nearby pubs.

but we found the cafeteria style setting to be very loud.

You could hear everyones toilet flushing along the corridor.

Bad points - first one is the rooms, the walls are ridiculously thin, you can hear people weeing next door and hear people's conversations from across the corridor.

It honestly sounded like a plane taking off so unfortunately we were woken by this from around 6am each morning.

Music is blasting, its loud, it seems to be next to the boiler room or some other technical room making constant noise.

but we disturbed her during the act, poor woman, maybe next time Sonia, don't be disheartened you'll get 'em next time.

but water was not included, it was €4.60 for a large water which is quiet expensive.

Our room was luckily on the other side so we didn't hear any of that and at the same time I can't comment if it would have been bothersome if our room was facing the pool area.

The food is pretty basic, rather bland and very repetitive…the pizza was banging though!

The staff are friendly, the rooms are spacious,the evening entertainment is very good and the hotel is clean.

Oh the beach was out of the back entrance of hotel about 25 feet and you were on the sands , lots of sun free beds , I didn’t go to the beach  as of my mobility, The entertainment was on every night singers very good .

Food brilliant and aqua dance was really fun.

The hotel  entertainment is very good too.

The poolside entertainment is amazing with live music every day from 4-6 as well as plenty of exercise classes which were made a lot of fun by the two guys who took them.

The entertainment was very good with some of the evening shows being properly good.

Entertainment was really good, especially the Soul Notes and the Saxophone player with a female singer.

The pool bar does brilliant food- huge portions, they have a lot of entertainment

Brilliant entertainment - live music, pool spin, constant kids activities make this hotel a super option - the entertainments team really deserve a special mention.

Different everyday from jugglers to dancers to musicians and singers.

At 4pm everyday there is a party in the play bar which we all enjoyed - Motown, pop party, Barbie party!

The Play Bar by the bottom pool had live entertainment each afternoon, ranging from Motown singers to a chill-out DJ.

but we had a great view of the hotel next doors entertainment, being on the back the room was a lot cooler but nothing wet from the pool ever dried on the balcony.

The staff are friendly and there are activities to enjoy during the day such as aqua dance!!

They have regular entertainment at the pool bar, if that is your thing.

We were very disappointed- we had two teens of 16 and 18 with us and we had the impression of dj sets and pool parties

Personally had a wonderful time here, good food food entertainment.

We loved the afternoons in the playa bar with DJ and saxophone very very good, the evening entertainment was probably the best we have had in any hotel which is amazing as we travel a lot and have been to many hotels you have definitely set a standard for us,.

The beds room need new mattress and updated.

We had a soiled blanket and a water bottle under the couch.

Had to strip beds and take out garbage before leaving.

The double bed was old and sagged, the living room sofa cushions didn’t offer any protection from the metal bars in the sleeper below them, and the carpets had not been properly vacuumed before our arrival.

Couch bed was terrible the spring was coming through mattress.

The only thing that bothered us was the mattress pad
and fitted sheets did not fit the mattress and kept bouncing up through the night.

Mattresses left something to be desired so let the front office know asap if that's a problem.

Traveling with four guests total, we needed the foldout couch bed, only to find mouse feces on top of the mattress when we unfolded it and mouse holes chewed throughout the mattress.

Deck furniture is dirty and broken  They still use bedspreads.

The couch and living room chair were difficult to get out of and the sheets were not deep enough to fit the mattress, and so continued to come off.

Furniture was stained and the all mattresses were extremely hard.

The bed was extremely uncomfortable, and the cheap, thin sheets didn’t help.

For example, the towels provided were ratty and frayed, there were burn marks on the bathroom ceiling from the lightbulbs, there was no ground plug in the wet areas (bathroom), and the beds were as hard as rocks!

But having lived in the woods much of my life, I can say without hesitation that the constant dampness, thick bed of falling leaves and pine needles, and deep shade that promotes mold and moss -- all wreak havoc on the exteriors of buildings.

Also no fitted sheets for any of the pull outs.

Casino gaming at French Lick Springs, hiking and boating at Patoka Lake, numerous restaurants all reasonably priced, beautiful scenery.

We explored the local caverns, indoor water park, animal safari, Ohana restaurant, Casino and local shops!

We enjoyed being close to the casino and beautiful hotels and good food in the area.

We played slots at the casino connected to the French Lick Hotel.

The awesome Polar Express train ride, outstanding Historic grounds, Casino and Town attractions also help to make this a trip worth coming back for.

We have been owners here for decades and watched with happiness and gratitude as the town has blossomed since the spectacular restoration of the French Lick and West Baden hotels and the casino's location here.

There is lots of history in the area, so take time to learn it -- we don't do casinos or golf.

It turns out it was the original casino for the elite club.

Able to access those restaurants and Casino.
