The dining area and restaurant was closed

This hotel has a great set up with a kitchen, living area and a desk.

Added bonus, there was a Peet's coffee right down the block from there, which you don't see in the NY area, so nice little bonus.

Brooks knows the area very well and is quick to offer up information when we ask.

Area is safe and has many good restaurants and shopping in close proximity.

quiet (ask for top floor), variety of breakfast food, very clean room, full kitchen, polite, helpful staff, wine/beer and cheese 6-7:30 M-Th, cool pool and workout area.

This is a good option if you want a non-gaming hotel at a decent rate in the Las Vegas area

Or, even better, want to stay close to the Red Rock Canyon area?

It’s about a 15 minute drive from the airport and strip area, which is one of the benefits for a business traveler.

We had booked an apartment suite with a kitchen area and a seperate bedroom as our group consisted of me and my partner plus my parents.

Classy, clean, the staff were wonderful, the salt-water pool and outdoor area was great!!

Huge room with sitting area, desk and full kitchen.

The hotel provides areas for the dogs. This is a non-smoking hotel (hurray!)

Our room was fine, bed was comfy, and the kitchen area had everything I could have wanted. However.

Outside the grilling area and plenty of seats made it nice for all to gather and the kids loved the pool and it still being open rather than most casinos.

This hotel is ideal for business travel, especially in the Southern Las Vegas/Summerlin area.

To be charged this amount is complete crap when they don't provide the minimal service offered.

Front desk struggle with computer reservations, associating my rewards account, still no credit for 3 night stay a week later.

The front desk had no knowledge of the credit.

Or the screw up with the credit cards and after two week we are still waiting for the requested credit.

Although not anything we wanted to do, they offered us a token $50 credit for rooms.

I called again to have a breakdown of all the charges and they emailed it to me.

To her credit after having told me I was wrong and she was it was there, she did have someone bring me up one. I can mention other instances (pool heater turned off in April, missing television remote, unmade sofa bed, no one answering the phone at the front desk after multiple attempts , one dishwasher capsule for a four day stay .  )

1- Got unauthorized charges on my credit card.

however a $200 hold was placed on my credit card, when I asked about it at the front desk I was told to call Starwood, nothing she could do about it.

Then I received a notification from our credit card that they had already charged our card aproximately $100 over our guaranteed rate.

The reason for the poor rating is that the hotel significantly overcharged for the stay.

So I sent a email to the General Manager Brendon Haffner, regards to the charges on my card.

Although a enviro card regarding sheets and linens was provided, it did not matter for the cleaners changed linens according to their inner thinking.

As we approached our rooms on the 4th floor (rooms 438 and 439), we noticed that a baby stroller was left in the hallway.

The (hopefully) pet diarrhea stain in the middle of the hallway two doors down from us looked like nobody had attempted to actually clean the stain.

Light fixtures in hallway busted up, wallpaper peeling off hallway walls,
dead roaches in stairwells that were there for days.

Minuses:
•	It’s a Pet Friendly Hotel – if you don’t have Pet’s and are sensitive to “odors” you can smell it walking down the corridor to your room.

but we found them in the dishwasher and it wasn't clear whether they were clean or not, stains in the hallway, etc.

Hallway carpet on 3rd floor had lots of stains, tear in wallpaper in hallway, leaky faucet in bathroom, microwave with settings impossible to read due to wear, and wearing Formica in breakfast area.

Also, the hallway on our floor (3rd) did smell a bit like mildew

In Las Vegas, dry air causes static electricity and when guests enter the Hotel and move about--dog hairs  easily cling to your shoes, bags, anything that touches the ground, and gets tracked into the hallways and rooms all over the Hotel.

We never heard any noise from neighbors on either side or above, or in the hall.

Two things - the ventilation at this particular location is a low noisy hum - a problem for me & the decor is so determinedly muted, it felt a bit drab & souless in the room corridors.

There are many pets and we had a barking dog in our hall that had clearly been left alone in the room.

Have only heard one or two slamming doors in 3 days and absolutely No hallway noise.

We noticed the sound in the halls and in the unit above were louder than normal after check in,

If you're noise sensitive, you can hear things happening in the hallway or perhaps upstairs.

Close to 215 and Red Rock Casino w/ a straight shot to LAS.

The Element is only a couple minutes from Downtown Summerlin and the Red Rock Casino.

It is very close to Downtown Summerlin (plenty of shops, movies, and restaurants), Red Rock Casino, and Red Rock National Conservation for hiking.

but nearby there is shopping and Red Rock Casino so you can enjoy what Vegas has to offer for less but maybe better.

Red Rock Casino in just a couple of miles up the road.

Although it's not near the strip, it's only about a mile from Red Rock Casino, which has better rules than most Strip casinos.

Well stocked kitchen with full fridge, microwave, stove top, dishwasher and everything you need to cook, serve and clean up for a meal. Mon-Thurs.

Ample parking, easy access from the freeway, great Thai restaurant nearby and gas station just up the way make this just super convenient.

There is a Starbucks and a wonderful Thai restaurant within half a block.

There is a grill for use (we didn’t) and a pool –

I also like that it is a short walk to two different coffee shops and a great Thai food spot.

Easy access from the 205 freeway and lots of shopping and restaurants nearby.

Close to shopping,food, bars and Red Rock .

The Element allowed a private party of Pugs in Pajamas with pizza and beverages for the humans.

It is a good place for travellers who like outdoor activities, rent a car, and want to save some dollars by cooking their own dinners.

The evening meal option is just cheese and bread.

However if interested in all the intensity of the strip, you must have a car to get there as well as the restaurants and shops.

it is in a new western development named summerlin with many fine lunch and dinner options.

No a/c in lobby, they had a big fan blowing a/c from a meeting room into the lobby. 5.

I had reserved a room with a specific rate and was charged almost DOUBLE at the end.

Even booking through their official website, if you reserve one room type, you can arrive to discover that the room type you reserved isn’t available.

During my most recent stay in October the rooms was much cleaner and better stocked with towels.

Our room  was very clean along with the shower.

Full clean of the room was scheduled every three days.

The room was falling apart everywhere you looked.

The room with one king bed and a full kitchen was just what we wanted. However.

The front desk person said they could service the room while we were out for about two hours

The rooms are extremely clean- and no offensive chemical scent anywhere on the premises- just spotless, and smelling fresh.

then they moved us , the room was a big room

Intent was to book a room that we'd use after hiking,

I arrived early and they were able to get me a room.

The bed was very comfortable and our room was quiet.

We used to stay on The Strip quite regularly,

a million times better than staying on the strip and it was close to everything, including Red Rock canyon.

Highly recommend this hotel if the strip isn't your scene.

The hotel is next to the highway and you can drive to the strip.

I didn’t check about transportation to the Strip or airport so may need a car.

Located off the strip, it is a lovely stop off when driving north from CA that is quiet, dog friendly and "green".

This will be the new spot we recommend to all family and out of towners that don’t want to stay on the strip.

What's really good: heathy breakfast, with scrambled eggs made in front of you as the daily special ; location away from the strip, in a nice neighborhood, easy to access.

The location is decent in that it is located near Red Rock if you prefer to stay away from the strip.

Just realize this property is Summerlin, not the Strip, and is a great “Pet Friendly” hotel, which you need to be okay with.

The hotel is totally non-smoking which I love, and it's not on The Strip, which was an added attraction for us.

A great alternative for those not wanting to be around the madness that can be the strip

I wanted a nice comfortable Hotel that was away from all the distractions of the strip.

but after being in Vegas for a wedding and having to put up with a hotel on the strip, Element was truly an oasis for the weary soul.

this is the place to stay if you seek no more than a drive by of the strip.

However, this is a wonderful hotel for families who wish to stay off the strip.

The strip was only 20 minutes away, red rock canyon was about 10 minutes.

Building falling apart and walls taped by entrance of pool area to gym.

The elevators are noisy and the furniture and walls in the room we were in were quite well worn in with signs of fraying and heavy use.

The walls and appliances were scuffed and dented.

There were brown and white stains all over the room from the lamp next to the bed to the ceiling, to the sofa, and then a bloodstain on the bathroom wall.

Walls are thin and you can overhear neighbors.

I wouldn’t say the walls are paper thin

By chance we went to IKEA and while there we picked-up some measuring tapes, placed them on the floor (exterior/interior wall to exterior/interior wall) incorporating all closets, air conditioning cabinet, kitchen, bathroom, shelves, and arrived at a grand-total of 528 sq.ft.

Sharp corners on the bed frame/platform, no bathtub and a lovely modern sink that won't hold a baby, and a credenza/bar type shelf/table that isn't anchored to the wall, and is IKEA weight and could easily tip onto a kiddo trying to climb.

Modern furnishings look like they came from a thrift store, cracks plainly visible all along shower wall.

There was dust/lint/dirt in the lesser-used areas and some stains on the walls which is too bad as the LEED hotel is fairly new and tastefully decorated.

Pool area was very nice, with several bbq grills available.

Excellent location for visiting all areas of Las Vegas and day trips.

We came out to visit family in the North Las Vegas area and this resort was close to everyone.

The surrounding area is nice with a lot of restaurant options.

Full kitchen with stove, large eating area  and living room.

Beautiful pool area, and had shuttle to the Las Vegas Strip.

The area is very nice with a lot of hidden gem eateries.

Cliffs is located in a residential area approximately 20 minutes from strip.

Love the Summerlin area which is a newer community away from the strip

The pool, hot tub, firepit, and workout areas were very nice and we even caught a game of pool and the from lobby area.

Area nice and clean suburbs of Los Vegas.

Cliffs at Peace Canyon is located near Red Rock Canyon, a popular scenic area.

but if you want to enjoy area a car is needed.

Our 2 bedroom unit was great along with the pool area.

The pool area and bbq areas are nice quiet spots.

15 minute drive to Red Rock Conservation Area.

My major complaint is that the unit above us had a leak and the ceiling started dripping.

Upon arrival the unit was not thoroughly cleaned, Hair and rubbish on the floors, refrigerator had liquid and food spills, kitchen cabinet handles have what appears like dried food, smudges and finger prints on the dining table and large mirror, used fake nails (at least 6) in the night stand drawers in the master bedroom, and hairs in the tub.

The washer when used sounded like it was falling apart, the shower tub when you stepped into it it bubbled  under not safe I called them maintenance came and said it was fine.

Hair in the bathroom , bugs in the tub & kitchen, large nasty stains on the furniture - looked like they should have been in a guys dorm instead of a Gold Star resort (not so much).

The shower in the second bedroom was dripping.

with trash in the kitchen and bathrooms, and the bedrooms, kitchen and bathrooms not attended to. Poor excuse for a "peaceful resort"

The dishwasher was leaking and maintenance cleared that up.

There was a power issue in the bathroom the first night that we were there.

It needs work on the sinks and toilets and a little updating would be nice.

When we arrived after midnight, the room had not been air conditioned (85 degrees), there was a dirty toilet seat, and it had a funky smell.

The bathroom toilet had toilet tissue in it, and the bed has blood stains on the sheets.

Why would you put a walk-in closet in the bathroom, so all your clothes can get funky from the shower steam?

The staff is what I have a problem with, I am not a well person and have several serious health issues to deal with, One evening my wife was out at dinner and called me back at the condo and I was in the shower and did not hear the phone.

Negatives:   
•  A C loud enough to make bedroom near vent unusable (grill rattled LOUDLY)     
•  Master’s ensuite toilet lid VERY loose  (maintenance repaired)    
•  Refrigerator not secured; rolls outward when opening the door    
•  Dishwasher not secured; rolls outward when opening the door    
•  Dishwasher door hangs-up on bottom of countertop when opening  closing.

Only complaint is the bathtub creaks when standing in it to take shower.

The bathroom needed some caulking around the floor tiles.

Did not use most of the resort amenities.

Heck, even the Hampton Inn in Barstow cools their pool so it's not a bathtub.

The next morning we were welcomed by water all over the bathroom floor, due to a leak from the upstairs unit's tub leaking into our unit.

Cliffs at Peace Canyon is in a perfect location.

Location was also a few blocks from Target, Smiths, Chick Fil A, Dutch Bros Coffee as well as In and Out Burger so it made those all a quick trip.

Large 2 bedroom units, full size washer/dryer off kitchen, covered parking spaces, pool centrally located in middle of the complex.

Excellent location and very nice facilities.

The best RCI location that i have stayed at so far.

I loved the location of the resort, and the staff was always pleasant and very helpful.

I love the location, the shuttle service and the friendliness of all the staff (including security and shuttle drivers).

Conveniently located to shopping, Red Rock Canyon, lots of trails.

Bathroom located outside the bedroom which was convenient when someone was still sleeping.

Resort is nicely located, not too far from strip

Shopping, restaurants and Red Rock Casino was nearby!

It is consistently friendly clean  close to Rte 215 which makes it convenient to getting around to the strip, the airport, Red Rock Casino and Red Rock Federal Park.

Such as go to the local grocery store, the Red Rock Casino or to the strip.

And of course the Red Rock Casino is very close.

If you're going to have a fun, relaxing experience, in a place that's about 10 minutes from Red Rock Casino (also pretty laid back and fun) and 15 from The Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, this more your groove.

Near Red Rock Casino (I think 8 minutes).

It is convenient to the strip, shops and restaurants.

Pool table, gym equipment, BBQ's, an amazing pool with waterfalls, parking is under shade and close to your unit!

Close to hiking, shopping and lots of restaurants.

The kitchen is convenient for making meals .

They are very accommodating with guests, eating,  addressed  all issues or requests that you may have.

Many very good restaurants and ample shopping near and in all directions.

There were great food places around the Cliff at Peace Canyon.

We are so pleased with our place - quiet, close to restaurants, grocery stores, and of course the Strip.

There was a supermarket (Smith's), Walgreen's, and a couple restaurants very handy (with a car,

They have nice gas grills if you want to grill a few steaks.

They offer a free shuttle to and from the strip which we didn't use

My son and husband enjoyed tge pool and it was a really great time bonding with our son without having to deal with the strip crowd.

Close enough to the strip to enjoy, far enough away from the strip to escape.

If you want a quiet resort to enjoy the Vegas weather and avoid the strip environment The Cliffs at Peace Canyon is a great option.

Great spot if you don't want to deal the strip in Vegas.

It is away from the hustle and bustle of the strip, which we found appealing.

Shuttle was very convenient to go to the strip.

The Cliffs is a perfect distance from the Strip.

but the shuttle will take you to the grocery store as well as The Strip).

Nice place to stay if not wanting to be on the strip.

Overall, a good experience off the strip with restaurants and shoppers near by.

The RCA cables were bent and looked broken.

There is a washer/dryer in the unit and three televisions.

The television in the guest bedroom had not video, just audio and the front desk advised me that it needed to be replaced.

We reported a problem with the TVs in both bedrooms.

FS1 and NBCSP were NOT available as well as a few typical cable stations.

No view of anything just the parking lot and other buildings 
Unit needs a good “spring” cleaning furniture is placed in odd position in the living room hard for three people to sit on it and see the tv.

The TV remote's were a bit hard to work, Beds a bit hard.

Our first floor unit was somewhat noisy when people moved in above us, not voices or TV, just walking back and forth.

The only complaint was that Internet service was very weak and intermittent.

but the WIFI was terrible and made planning very difficult.

Biggest problem is the very poor internet connection.

It took us 3 days of complaining to finally be told that our building did not have WIFI working and had to move to a second floor unit in another building to get WIFI.

The WI-FI is much improved over my last stay in 2018.

but this unit had Internet problems that were never really resolved even though the router was reset.
