Las Vegas steak house and El Cervio were mainly our eating places, we had some lovely meals, including a lovely Chinese buffet at Shanghai Wok Buffet and a lovely Indian meal at Little India.

The location of the Terrazamar is ideal and it is literally a 5 min walk to the commercial centre which has loads of places to eat out and have a drink (we particularly enjoyed Las Vegas steakhouse and Murphys Kitchen for food and 69 bar and The Shamrock for drinks).

but for 'children friendly' we love the Las Vegas (portions are huge), for cheap and cheerful the San Miguel and Isla Bonita do a mean fajita, all with friendly staff.

would recommend Las Vegas restaurant for food.. gorgous

You're in Gran Can, you arent in Vegas, the apts arent The Hyatt/Hilton

Seen snippets of the Garbos & Las Vegas Legends at a charity day and both looked good.

Someone commented on here the air con was akin to 'waving a hanky'.

So you pay for a room and you go above standard room think it’s apartment with terrace and you end up air con only in bedroom , you think you’re getting the one with the grass terrace and air con in living room as well , also told them was infirm/disabled , so we got put on 11 th floor ,2 lifts

air-conditioned not working had to be given a portable one that was really noisy and means you have to leave the door open for the extractor all night..

Also, the main area of the apartment didn't have air con.

The only gripe I’d have about the rooms is the air con- there’s no remote supplied so it’s stuck on whatever you ask for; 20 was enough for us

After 3 nights of no sleep due to faulty aircon Adele sorted out a new room for us
She's a credit to the hotel

Air conditioning took a while to figure out and had to contact reception who told us only way to turn on/off was at the fuse box so this was a minor inconvenience as temperature couldn’t be adjusted.

We did have trouble with the ac working then not working.

Had a little trouble wit A/C and it was sorted within an hour or two with a bottle of wine for the "inconvenience".

Only thing I’d like was more info in room about how a/c, safe etc worked and prices & times for bars and restaurants in the complex

Air con like someone waving a hanky next door.

There were also no controls for the air conditioning, so it was just at the same setting the whole week.

Bedroom had  2 single beds separated by fixed position bedside units - at first glance the beds look basic,

The water was freezing and way too cold for me.

Didn't seem to be any air con, which isn't a problem in December

Now for the rest - €6 per day for air con which didn't work after we paid and we then had to be refunded - air con couldn't be controlled and didn't turn off even with the electricity card taken out of panel

Ants - the apartment was over run with ants particularly in the kitchen area and the cleaning lady brought us up a huge can of aerosol spray to use on them.

Apartment has everything you need only slight niggle was no air con and hairdryer didn’t work.

Just returned from a very good stay at the Terrazamar apartments in the week before Christmas and really enjoyed our stay.

Our apartment was clean, well appointed and spacious.

We stayed on these apartments for 10 days and had a fantastic experience.

Just back from a 10 day stay at the terrazamar sun-suites and all I can say is what a great family hotel, very clean apartments , balconies are massive staff are friendly and helpful and very quiet at night .

I am currently on last day of holiday ,and I once again can't fault these apartments,I love coming here and now you you get free WiFi, safe and air conditioning,the place just gets better.The apartments are what you need for self catering basic

Apartments were so clean with excellent service from the maid ( lovely lady ) and such a nice clean pool in both hotels 
Sunsuites is clean ,updated and modern with a nice kitchen and bathroom.

Came here for a two week stay on the recommendation from relatives that have stayed several times and it’s not disappointed. The hotel is a vast, elevated set of apartments split into three blocks climbing into the hills so you get brilliant views whatever floor you’re on, more so from the huge balconies that you get with each (even bigger on floor 6!!)

Currently staying here, great location you exit back gate to get to mogan mall and commercial center, apartment themselves are very spacious balcony that I've never seen as big, access to two pools

Big shout out to ‘Victor’ in Terezzamar reception nothing is ever too much trouble for him and always greeted with his friendly smily personality

Well what a wonderful week we have had at these great self catering apartments was so welcoming the lovely staff are amazing and really helpful the pool was fantastic just 2 mins from mogan mall n 10 mins steady to bars n restaurants our 12 Yr old and 2 year old grandkids loved it nice spacious apartment look forward to coming here again

The apartments are spacious and everything works as it should.

These apartments provide everything you need for a S/C holiday and are so perfectly positioned in Puerto Rico, 5 minutes to the commercial centre 15 minutes to the beach and just opposite Mogan Mall all on the flat.

we can't fault these apartments in any way.

First time back since covid , and I must say brilliant as ever , stayed in sun suites 3rd floor , few good changes free TV , safe , and air conditioning,  would 100% recommend these apartments,  definitely go back

Beautiful balcony which was very large and had sun loungers plus table chairs and umbrella for shade.

We recently had a 14 night holiday in a Royal suite room with a whirlpool tub on balcony, we have been to Terrazamar many times

- Pool pretty quiet, no sunbed pantomime here as everyone's got loungers on their balcony.

We made the mistake of getting a room with a whirlpool on the balcony for ourselves and a standard room for the kids.

Fantastic hotel with amazing balcony, nice pool areas with bar happy hour every day, also onsite bakery and shop, the pub called the pub across the road was great fun and cheap, back gate takes you straight out to the mall

3 pools to pick from was excellent too, if you didn't need a pool the balcony was big enough and came with sunbeds.

We didn't use the pools because our balcony provided a perfect place to relax

As so many have said, great apartments/huge balcony with sun beds.

The balconies are large and well furnished, flooring is astro turf and because of the very hot weather did get warm under foot

First time staying here & will definitely stay again , hotel & rooms kept spotless, apartment very nice & comfortable with a huge balcony .

If you want easy access to the centre, beaches and bus station,  a large balcony and peaceful and night this is the place for you 😁

This was our 3rd time at the sunsuites this time we upgraded to the premium royal apartments so glad we did we had a lovely time.We were on the top floor the apartment was very comfortable and clean with everything you need for self catering.We had a lovely big balcony with a hot tub and Balinese bed it was great.There is a pool for the royal

The balcony is huge and having the artificial grass was a bonus as it made it more comfortable underfoot.

The apartment is spacious with a huge balcony which has two sunbeds, table, chairs and a parasol.

First time in sun suites its absolutely fantastic the balcony is huge with jacuzzi,sunbeds and recliner chairs.the appt is like a flat separate kitchen fully equipped.

Good points - beds and pillows very comfy, extra large balcony, wee cafe in reception area excellent, lad on reception when we checked in was lovely and so helpful, cleaning lady was our saviour in the end - didn't get either of their names

The pools were great, clean spacious and lots of loungers and umbrellas.

We used two pools, one on the 10th floor of our complex and one at Terrazamar.

Stopped for 5 nights with my brother in law in the Terrazamar section, Fantastic location and cooked breakfast only €5 , heated pools , good happy hours 11.00 till 12.00 then 15.30 till 16.30 , bakery and shop and another happy hour in the sunsuite reception at 17.30 , have booked for May for two weeks with my wife

The location is brilliant with the back gate on the level of the centre no steps the choice of three swimming pools.

but there are plenty of lifts for you to use ,  there are 3 pools to use at the hotel , two at the top of the hotel where the views are amazing and one pool at the terrazamar which we used as the atmosphere was louder food at the pool bar was very cheap and tasty to eat ,drinks prices were ok , so take advantage of happy hour .

The Royal pool was quiet and beds were plentyful.

Pool area (bottom pool) was big enough to hold a fair few people without looking too busy and it was generally quite relaxing each day.

Great choice of 3 pools  - the one on the rooftop at the top was quiet and peaceful.

although we've only just been to one In sunsuites, pool bar food is very tasty also happy hour twice a day, kids club and games played in pool.

wifi around the complex is free and excellent, even around the pool.

We used all the other facilities at the hotel including the swimming pool some of the games especially the air hockey tables, the Little shop, The bakery and the bar and everybody in each of those places was great and really easy to deal with as

This is 2nd time, among many, that the royal pool is closed….why?

Excellent access direct onto the street where the mall and commercial centre are via lift so no dreaded Puerto Rico steps!

A lift takes you to the busy, entertaining shopping centres of Puerto rico.

Lots of eateries in Puerto Rico Center & the top end of Mogan Mall.

Will definitely book here again when returning to Puerto Rico.

Otherwise every single part of our stay (both in Sun Suites and Puerto Rico in general) was fabulous and I'd absolutely recommend.

Puerto Rico is a beautiful place with lovely beaches, bars, restaurants and you can do as much or as little as you like…but we just adore the Royal Suites where we can totally relax and switch off for a week.

Been coming to Puerto Rico for 25 years now, fell in love with the place when I was 15.

This accommodation is ideally situated for Puerto Rico centre and the new Mogan Mall.

Walk to Puerto Rico beach a good 25 mins 

The beach is a 15 min stroll to Puerto Rico beach and 30mins around the mountain to amadores!

Reception are fantastic and the balconies like no other in Puerto Rico.

Although I wasn’t that impressed with Puerto Rico itself, I would return to these apartments for a break in the sunshine.

Thres some nice places to eat and drink in puerto rico and reccomend Pinochios for pasta, La cabana for breakfast and Murphys kitchen for a decent pie.

One of the better places to stay in Puerto Rico.

There is the new Moran Mall and of course the Puerto Rico Shopping centre, we would recommend Da Pinocchio they even do take away and had a pizza on the balcony one night after walking back from the brilliant Amadores Beach.

Apartments were also well located near to new/old shopping centres, restaurants, bars and was also a sort 15 minute walk to the excellent resort beach area.

We were on the ground floor  about 5 minutes walk from shopping centre where the bars and restaurants are.

Out back gate and right to restaurants souvenir shops and down to beach.

The staff at the reception bar/shop and cafe in particular were great.

Bar's and restaurants in town were good fun and great value.

Loved the pool bar food, aqua gym daily and clean facilities.

The town is lovely and a huge variety of places to eat ,drink and a little dancing

The café/bakery has great cakes & pastries everyday plus great food.

Hotel shop, bar and eating areas again very good and being close to all bars and restaurants was great to.

but we did use the Sunsuites pool bar, excellent service and good well priced food.

shopping centre is only a few minutes walk where there are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants.

We didn’t get round to having a pizza in the evening.

However, all the staff were friendly, helpful and efficient.

This is our forth stay and its always a pleasure spotlessly clean and the staff are very friendly.

but adequate as we cooked a lot.staff very helpful but special mention to animation team and Manuel lifeguard who just kept smiling.I am trying to find faults many other people may,but I can't we had a great holiday and will be back to or our 8th time soon

The receptionist, mainly Victor were so nice and nothing was too much trouble.

There’s a little café, bar & shop next to reception.

Definitely would return, our housekeeping lady was very thorough and so friendly.

I have stayed in various 4 to 5 star hotels around the world , my favourite being the Palazzo towers in Las Vegas , for me the Royal Sun is up there in my top 10 of hotels that I have stayed in.

Good points include:
- room and balcony - we were in an upgraded deluxe room which was very nice with separate bedroom and 2 sinks and huge balcony.

The rooms were a very good size, especially the balcony,  from which there is a view out of this world.

Lovely hotel great location all balconies overlook the sea so perfect for watching the sunset great outdoor pool with plenty sunbeds and friendly helpful staff in all areas would highly recommend you won’t be disappointed!

The big plus was the huge balcony, we loved just chilling out & relaxing.

Balcony/terrace was huge and the wiev was amazing.

The balconies are huge and all overlook the sea and provide a great view of daily sunsets.

The balcony is the best we have stayed in with sunbeds, table and chairs, with the best views you could wish for.

We stayed in one of the luxury apartments - great space to retreat back to and fabulous big balcony with stunning views.

Balcony has a wonderful view to the ocean, sunsets, Los Gigantes rocks.

!You never tire of the view from the best balcony you will ever get in any hotel.

- breakfast was very good with lots of choice.

Breakfast was lovely every day - a very good selection of cooked food, as well as continental options.

2week stay for my 60th birthday, 5th floor room with jacuzzi, room great, Staff brilliant and can’t do enough to help, breakfast food very good, confession time didn’t go to the Aqua restaurant so can’t comment on that,

We were b&b, and the breakfast had so much choice & excellent quality.

Food was excellent we had half board, selection varied in every dinner, breakfast was the best including cava every morning.

We stayed bed and breakfast and there were some great food options locally.

The food I will have to say has improved from good to excellent (Well done to the chefs) and the breakfasts are a joy with a lovely variety.

but it is a welcome break from the beautiful sun with the pool bar serving delicious smoothies and cocktails, and the most delicious crispy prawn salad.

but not at the Royal Sun.Every night I found more than enough to eat and with no problems later.My wife and I have different tastes in food and she too really enjoyed the food.The bread was lovely every day for breakfast and the evening meal was a treat.

We were half board - the breakfasts were delicious with ample choice.

Both the breakfast and dinner were great.

but upgraded for three evening buffet meals.

We have been coming to this hotel for the past 3 years, and in our opinion, you can't beat it, the rooms are very spacious and clean and the balcony has the best view in Los Gigantes, the breakfast is very good you have a good choice.

Exellent Foods borh breakfast and danner.

On arrival (late 12.30am) it was quite and peaceful, we were checked in asked when we would like breakfast 8/9 or 9/10.

Food was excellent, for me the choice of food was just the right and tasty during the both, breakfast and dinner.

The breakfast was very good with lovely views and a good choice of hot and cold food.

Housekeeping poor I’m afraid and not consistent.

Evening meal poor choice nearly all stews quite often food burnt or over cooked.

this poor chaps encore was ruined because  the pa system broke down.

Entertainment in evening poor the bar by reception is dark dingy and miserable this is something that could be amazing with right person in charge.

but the dinner/tea in the Regency is very poor and again, not good for kids at all.

As others have mentioned nothing was too much trouble - anything we needed, anything that went wrong (such as poor tv reception) was immediately dealt with within minutes.

Finally, the evening meal buffet was very poor in comparison to the breakfast option.The quality of the main course was very poor, the portions were very small with the chef cooking the food only as you ordered.

Our apartment was very tired and in need of a major update ,the equipment was a very poor standard ,  we were also in a very noisy position on the first floor with delivery vans constantly dropping off below us , together with proximity to a noisy staff room and then finally builders smashing glass into a skip at regular intervals !

however, food was under-expected, and the service was very poor for their prices and for the commercial they are doing.

but it was the accompanying vegetables which were poor.

but not stay at the Royal Sun, it lacks atmosphere and I was very disappointed with the pool closure, construction noise and poor food.

The only thing that wasn't up to par at the Royal Sun was the entertainment, pretty poor actually

Evening meal poor, usually warm not hot, overcooked where had been hanging around.

We did not dine on site apart from once in pool bar,very poor.

Only visited the bar once - 2-for-1 on a selected cocktail in a happy hour,

Staff are all lovely Front Desk, Restaurant and House Keeping.

but for me the food was not quite hot enough.

Restaurant staff, bar tenders and our room cleaner went the extra mile to make the stay great.

Good restaurants in the city and at the harbor.

Happy hour at the bar is between 8-9pm with a different choice each night for a 241 cocktail.

And you can since the rooms, pool and resturants all face the fabulous ocean view.

A great hotel, above all clean, with excellent food, well-equipped rooms, spacious with huge terraces and a beautiful view of the ocean, cliffs and the entire Los Gigantes.

We did half board for the first time and the food was excellent with the best view in Tenerife from the outdoor dining area.

The food choices are extremely good , all staff very pleasant & helpful

The restaurant staff - helpful and friendly people.

We were half board and I have real problems(IBS) usually with hotel food

- booked a car via reception which was very convenient.

Another fantastic 2 week holiday in the Royal Sun.All the staff are brilliant and friendly, nothing is too much trouble.Food really good.

The staff were a great credit to the hotel & could not do enough with any problems/queries.

All the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly.

I would also like to say that from reception,restaurant, housekeeping to the maintenance teams everyone of them had a smile and a hola for you.
