The hot tub and soft bed were a welcome experience after our 10 day RV trip.

The hotel is very close to the airport,although there is not much nose of the airplanes.There is a shuttle bus service which works well.

The area is decent and close to the airport.

It was surprisingly quiet for being close to the airport.

And the proximity to the Airport as well as the complimentary Airport Shuttlewere a big plus.

It is very close to the airport which is very convenient.

Stayed here a few days ago for 1 night, got a shuttle from the airport which was easy to arrange.

The airport shuttle service was free & Lyft/Uber to the strip was only about $20 one way.

Airport shuttle is super convenient and front desk personnel was polite and customer service friendly.

The shuttle back to the airport was very efficient.

They have a 24 hour shuttle to airport which most other hotels do not.

We booked this hotel primarily because it had a free airport shuttle that is in operation when most other properties had terminated shuttle operations during the pandemic.

They provide a shuttle back and forth to the airport an a regular basis it it an added perk I enjoy.

Breakfast was normal La Quinta Buffet - Waffles, eggs, sausage , oatmeal, cereal, fruit.

Shuttle to the airport is every 30 minutes and it is free of charge.

The staff was nice, our room was nice and roomy and very clean.

Oddly, a woman started banging on our door at about 1 in the morning, telling us that we were too loud and would be kicked out if the noise was kept up.

My issue is this: I put in the DO NOT DISTURB sign in the key lock and sure enough, at 8:30 in the morning someone from housekeeping started knocking on my door and tried to open the door!

In addition, someone or different people turned the door handle of my hotel room 3 or 4 times during the night  which not only made it hard to sleep

I get to the door of my room and the one key wouldn't work at all

My husband was TWICE given magnetic keys that did not open our door.

Your maid will enter your room even if do not disturb is on the door so beware.

Also they now keep all outside doors locked so when you are trying to take the dog outside from your room you have to prop the door open with something.

however my experience started when the “ backdoor “ ( ugly black industrial door , looks like a maintenance entrance) failed to unlock the door with my magnetic key - after many , many , many numerous attempts , I still couldn’t unlock it .

ie lack of electrical and usb outlets to charge devices, our bathroom door would not stay closed, rooms pretty small.

Last, if you bring luggage inside in the side door (the front door and lobby are closed) there is no ramp, so granny lift it up.

There were 2 small dogs staying next door.

room was very dusty and dirty with the carpet sticking to my shoes, it was disgusting and the back door was broken so i had to walk to the front door to get back in with my pet

If two people occupy the room, the one in the bathroom must be careful not to swing the door into the other person.

Took out a carry on and backpack walked to the door, keys did not work.

Also, there was a bigger gap than the norm at the bottom of the door, which did not help block that noise.

The door to our bathroom made a horrible noise on opening and closing.

At one point, we were stuck by the pool and couldn't get the door to open with either of our keys, requiring us to make a long walk around the perimeter of the building to enter through the front door.

I had to keep the door shut ( it would periodically run) and fiddle with the flapper.

Only one negative:  Large bathroom door, if open, goes a long way to blocking the hall to the rest of the room.

Loud, noisy, had issues with the room and the next day the front desk was anxious to check out those that stayed the night before and had to listen to someone banging LOUDLY on doors down the hall at 3:00.

Super loud elevators, dogs barking and kids running up and down hallways.

however in a very shabby state, bed lumpy, very noisy hallways and doors slamming, noise from floors above at all hours.

Headed to my room and elevators are way down the hall out of the way and hard to find.

The property seemed to be wrapping up renovations as some of the baseboards were missing in the hallways?!?

Room: The first morning, I was still sleeping around 8:30am and some people were talking loud and laughing right in the hallway so that ruin my morning sleep.

On the flip side, the walls were thin you can hear what's going on in the hall and the place was a maze.

Only negative was dog owner who,left his,dog alone in the room across the hall.

Walked down the hall back to the front of the building to get a key again from the same girl at the desk which she fixed again with no apologies.

- a bit in the middle of nowhere if you don't have a car, tho the convenience store has food and you can order Papa John's pizza delivery as room service
- The 2 elevators are kind of far from the end of the L-shaped hallway, which does have secure stairs.

The room is poorly insulated— you can hear clear conversations in the hallway and neighboring rooms.

I explained to him that their internal processes of physical invoices don't concern me and that next time i don't want my information in the hallway.

There seems to be no insulation, as we heard every conversation, all of the boisterous laughter and yelling in the hallway.

My only complaint is the loud crowd that was in the hallway one night after 3 AM,

Dogs barking at night in the halls and spring on one side of bed were broken.

People were making noise in the hallway until 12:40 in the morning. Yuck.

But the hallways and elevator smells like chemicals, and the bedroom smells like mold.

The only negative was that there was some noise from airplanes and from guests in the halls late at night,

This hotel is in a very good location for the airport and navigating Las Vegas without being on the strip.

Will definitely be back and will gladly recommend to anybody staying in Las Vegas with a dog.

Staff was extremely helpful the location is just right for airport and major activities in Las Vegas.

This was a great relief, since many of the large hotels in Las Vegas charge $100 or more as a pet fee - more than the whole price of our room here!

All in all, this is an OK place to stay while visiting Las Vegas.

Its location is adequate from my choice of casinos and areas in Las Vegas I wanted to visit.

When we arrived back in Las Vegas, we called the hotel and the shuttle arrived within 15 minutes.

I recommend this hotel to all Las Vegas visitors as you will be closer to stripe with shuttle service.

The La Quinta Inns & Suites South Airport in Las Vegas is a fantastic place to get away for the weekend.

This property is the best in Las Vegas because its a very clean and inviting property all the employees I came in contact with incredible and happy, I always stay here I will not stay at any other property while in Vegas .

We would stay here again if we came to Las Vegas and wanted a nice, quiet place to stay with great service.

I will stay at this hotel again when I am in Las Vegas.

Perfect place to stay in Las Vegas if you are traveling with dogs.Good location, clean, reasonably priced and easy to get the dogs out at night for a break.

The La Quinta Inn & Suites Las Vegas Airport South was an excellent choice due to its proximity to the Airport, the Premium Outlet Mall, and also within a short uber ride to the strip.

We will stay here next time we are in Las Vegas and recommend it to all of our friends that want an affordable place to stay in Las Vegas.

Checked in early, no problem and gave us an upgrade on the room, nice suite, jacuzzi, extra couch bed, very clean gym, ez parking.

What I don’t like with the hotel. 1.

Mostly great, ample free parking, great staff, good location lots of construction nearby

We were able to park securely while we flew out of town.

Parking was plentiful in their private lot and the check-in was quick and easy.

Not only is it just a couple of minutes away from the Sunset Rd viewing area, you can just walk outside the hotel and spot from there, close enough that it takes longer to walk from the room to the parking lot than it does to the Sunset sidewalk.

Parking was available fairly nearby to my room.

This hotel has plenty of parking and is in a safe area.

Also close to Sunset Park and many restaurants,  Rooms are nice and plenty of parking.

The extended parking opton is very useful and excellent value.

Lots of free parking and a great hot/cold breakfast is served up in a large room off lobby!

They have a shuttle pick up from the airport and to the south end of the Strip - both useful if you do not get a car (plenty of parking).

But a nice quiet location with no resort charges and good parking.

The showers had Mold in them.The air conditioning was not pumping in the room.The seating chairs was so nasty.I could go on

Despite the closeness to the airport there is no loud noise to be heard in the room.

Also, we had over 30 people in our party all arriving at different times.

The walls would vibrate, and you'd hear this loud thud.

The people in the room above me were super loud which was unfortunate - otherwise great place to stay!

On night two and, three the neighbor decided he wanted to talk extremely loud all hours of the night, not to mention the constant traffic he had come through even an escort service yup, that’s right.

The worst part is the fan which comes on few times per hour and it is very, very loud.

If I had to complain about anything, it would be that the exit door by our room was pretty loud every time it was shut.

I checked in on a Thursday night and out on Saturday morning and only really heard planes that Saturday morning and it wasn't very loud.

Really loud A/C units - no central air. 2.

The next morning in our bathroom we could hear a very loud TV or stereo noise from the next room which wasn’t a problem,

but far enough to stay away from the party animals.

I thought the air conditioning was pretty loud.

but is a LOUD exit door that was Slamming until after Midnight each night.

Overall, the cabana room worked out very well for us and was much more quite than the original 46 rooms.

I stayed in the Cabana Suites, which is actually across Ogden Ave from the main building.

If you want a room with a cool redux of 70s chic, stay in the cabana suites.

I was so happy to have found the Cabana Suites at the El Cortez.

I had previously stayed there and really liked the Cabana Suites and the Casino.

Have stayed here prior and wanted to try the Cabana Suites.

There were several areas one could stay, the Vintage area (which are only accessible by stairs), Pavilion area, Cabana area (which is across the street off the main property) and the area I stayed at, the tower.

But my own experience with the Cabana was good overall, and some other friends who traveled said they liked the (remodeled) Tower.

There is a beautiful hotel annex across the street called the Cabanas and we stayed there.

Cabana suites are a nice new addition to this place.

We chose a cabana suite which was located in a separate building across the road.

Would recommend for couples or families as they have all kinds of rooms and cabanas across the street.

I used the fitness center located across the street where the Cabana Suites are located and it was adequate.

We got an amazing rate online the same day and when we arrived we were upgraded to the Cabana suites across the street.

The newest  accomodations are the Cabana Suites across Ogden, deliciously quiet, and delightfully decorated in art deco lime green, and black and white.

Years ago when I discovered El Cortez's Cabana suites I felt like I had a great value downtown.

The tower rooms offer a nice writing desk (the one in cabana is too high for a usable desk) and central air/heat (cabana uses an in-wall unit).

Overall definitely worth staying at El Cortez cabana suites.

We enjoy the cabana suites that are across the street very retro.

The front desk supervisor clearly lied to us when we indicated that there were no rooms available, and then had the audacity to try and charge me for the larger suite price for the remaining 3 nights in a petite room.

My biggest complaint is the players card was easily defective, I went through 4 cards.

but perhaps they could invest in card readers instead.

I would have given them 5/5 if wasn't for the washrooms in the premium tower room for having to wear a wristband and for charging a resort fee when they really are not offering anything.

Through a bevvy of charges, I am left several days later with my debit card charged the full amount and my credit card authorized for $520.

After a 7 day stretch they charged us a daily $25 fee for staying past 7 days.


*****HOTEL GUESTS BEWARE***** returned from Las Vegas 13 hours ago & had a $150 charge on my credit card for "room damage" from El Cortez.

My charge card was billed an additional 97 bucks with no invoice or explanation of charges to back it up.
