The Chinese restaurant was good and all the staff I met were friendly and helpful.

but an experience, the Chinese restaurant is magnificent, CHEF CHUA meal is perfect, the front desk, I think her name is Jennifer is awesome and their manager Cuthberga welcomed us with her beautiful smile.

The professionalism of the receptionists at the club lounge is second to none.

I’ve had a memorable and pleasant stay thanks to the lovely ladies in the club lounge (balikis and grace) and also the floor supervisor Mr izu.

Then I went to the 21st floor the club lounge for my check in I met Nancy and her smile was so welcoming and very fast with the check in process.

Oge in reservations , all the staff I met at the club lounge namely , Nancy , both rosemarys, doyin and a host of others who treated me like family .

I love the food is no nice I want to eat here more and the foods here are very delicious and I hope u can eat here more and the view is very good and the couch are very big and cormftable here at executive club lounge

though 'real' coffee (not pre-brewed) was charged extra.

Billing: If you dine in the restaurant or bar facilities you have to settle the charges immediately they wont post in your room which is very embarrassing all the excuses is guest run away without clearing the bill.

So make sure you have your ATM card in hand when you order food to your room, because they wont leave until you pay.

but they tried to charge me and were confused  with the booking.

For what they charge you, it’s unacceptable.

Would prefer a sync between the reservations and front desk as it would make transactions more seamless.

Unnecessary charges such as charging to use the POS when ordering something small like juice is annoying.

Since it was brunch, I was somewhat disappointed that water and coffee were charged for.

Only issue in the room was some sockets and charge points not working and I highlighted this to staff who took the feedback on board.

Very rude and disrespectful staff at check in, concierge staff barging into my bedroon using pass key card, to flooded room (air-conditioner flooded tiled room)and near miss fall at 4.30am in the morning on my way to the bathroom, to tepid water in bathroom .

Despite issues I had with paying with my credit card, Osagie was very patient through out my attempts to use the card and uncomplainingly accommodated my various calls to the credit card company.

We used our card and their system showed it declined whilst our banking showed the payment had gone through.

but no more, but much of the signage and room cards are still branded Intercontinental.

The hotel charges Nira 150 per page to photocopy and thats not appreciated if services of booking training rooms have been availed for over 3 days.Printing should have been complimentary.

Finally I was charged an extra $100 for early room occupation - something one should budget for if one arrives on a morning (Virgin) flight.

even though they are a corporate hotel and almost every company I have worked for issues an American Express Corporate Card.

I made a purchase of drinks worth the sum of N6,600 paying with debit card, only to be charged N66,000 due to negligence of staff.

The major challenge is the credit card acceptance as many of our cards failed to be approved

I love this hotel and the cleanliness is amazing the room is beautiful and the lobby restaurant is beautiful and I love the painting artwork at the lobby restaurant and the room attendant is very detailed on is job and I meet mr Christopher he is the floor manager and he is very nice and he greeted me and want to know how my stay and to know if am having any issues with my staying at the hotel am cool

Formidable building structure with a sleeky decoration, in the Victoria Island City center.

The swimming pool animation is good enough if you are not asking for food.

Mr sunday the lovely bartender was always making nice cocktails and even made me try palmwine for the first time, he is forever friendly ! !

The menu is amazing, the pool bar is  such a sight and bar tenders know their stuff.

Super confortable hotel with a very nice and caring staff, from the restaurant to house keeping, especially Jamiu whom I thank for his real attention to detail and sense of service. The swimming pool is on the 5th floor which makes it accessible for everywhere, so that’s a big plus :)

Emeka Ayogu was very helpful and provide great service and very polite particularly as it relates to the cleaning of my room during my stay.

Mould and mildew in the shower, one bath and hand towel only for a couple (and attitude and rudeness from staff when asking for another set of towels), rough worn sheets, hard beds, air con that froze you or wouldn't come on, dirty windows, and dated torn furniture.

- The cleaning and laundry service personnels all had body odour .

The room had a terrible smell and in need of a renovation, air conditioner worked terribly and pretty much blew hot air.

We were shown suites, they all had a nasty smell.

For 2 days there was no light all through the morning and nothing  was done to compensate 
For another few days the roof outside the room by the lift was opened for repair and an offensive odor pervaded throughout
Quality of food was average and food varieties was limited

The light constantly going on and off was not great and do not get me started on the horrible smell of fuel in the lifts due to an oil spillage somewhere in the building.

Starting from the dirty disgusting bathrooms that didn't  look like they'd been cleaned for years to the stained mirrors, absolutely poor room lighting, several light bulbs out.

but unfortunately the photos was of the hotel when it was manage by intercontinental when it was 5 stars , the hotel now is Lagos continental ,very bad service , bad maintenance , the worst thing is the Smell of the room, the bed ,the below and the Towels .

however the cleanliness standards are not up to standard, the bathroom had a bit of a stench, maybe due it it not being cleaned daily with disinfectant.

There was a weird smell and also the bathrooms were not very clean.

Aircon blows our air that smells of diesel generator that powers electricity.

The room has a damp mouldy odour which I complained about and they tried to resolve

There was a continual smell of what seemed like diesel when you were near on in the elevators, which was almost overpowering, the water, while hot, had a colour that can be descried as "Strangely Brown" unless you had it running for a while, Wi-Fi was terrible.

Great services, Stayed four days and the cleaning crew like Emeka Ayogu were very helpful, warm and efficient.

I had a nice experience at the Continental Hotel Lagos.

I complained of a headache on my to room and Emeka asked if he could get me cold water and if I needed any assistance.

Basic things that are important in a hotel are properly functioning heating and cooling systems , hot water , clean sheets and towels and of course service.

It is nicely staffed with complimentary water, cucumber essence cold face towels and a very hand air purification system.

But 2 of the rooms I stayed in on the 17th & 23rd floors had maintenance issues - water not flowing from the bathroom floor, malfunctioning air conditioning.

The bathroom was leaking water all over the floor, and the hotel even could not find me a microwave to warm food I got from the hotel, telling me it was spoilt.

Especially as the internet went off due to these power outages and sometimes the hot water also wasn’t as hot as a result of this .

also, we had a water leakage from the ceiling, and this is not the first time its happened.

No unlimited cocktails- choice of water or juice it is drummed on your ear as soon as you sit down meanwhile you're looking at a flyer on the table that states different.

even though water leaked from ceiling and then floor was like swimming pool.

This Hotel is awful don’t waste your time or energy or money staying at this water gushing from the air conditioning hotel in all of the rooms.

only two bottle of water,   and i escalated to club lounge staff and they were so apologised and looks sad.

No hot water in my shower for 2 days, a toilet that ran water through it continuously.

Then I didn’t have hot or warm water to shower for half of my stay and ended up showering in my colleague room.

However bathroom tap was loose in it's fixing and wobbled when touched, hot water was not consistent, - sometimes too hot to shower and could not be turned down - and on one occasion the ceiling panel concealing the aircon, fell down,

Not only did I have to change rooms 3x due to filthy, rusty water spewing from from the bath and sink faucets of all three rooms, the a/c did not function properly in our meeting room, we had intermittent electricity and the gym floor is about to cave in.

if I wanted coffee or water with breakfast (which was good, eggs AND bacon available), I'd have to ask for it, and it was a similar scenario when we ate dinner.

a few outlets and lights didn’t work, I had to ask for a hair dryer, I only had hot water while a colleague had only cold, etc.

AC units in the rooms are noisy and looks like something from the 18th century.

My 2nd room air conditioner was LOUDER than the first,  and so after a few hours, I switched back to my original room in which the repairs had now been completed.

Ac just a little too noisy for me because I am a light sleeper.

Some improvements can be made especially to ventilation

The (old) airco on the room was too loud, the water faucet came apart, some mold.

Very Good room, only the air conditioner that cannot swing and the TV remote control cannot work from a distance.

Overall I had a good experience at this hotel, with one caveat: the AC in the room is very noisy and my room was near an outside generator which was also very noisy.

The only setback was that the room was too cold even after turning off the air-conditioner for hours.I would suggest that the complimentary  red wine should be served daily.

The vents for the air conditioner has built up dust that needed cleaning while the sheets and towels were all stained.

Despite my complain in the morning you can see that filter of the air conditioning unit is still dirty, that means they didnt even bother to look at it.

The hotel rooms are currently undergoing refurbishment, and those that are still to be done have noisy air conditioning.

We had a standard room which turned out to be quite small with very noisy air conditioning.

I was moved immediately to another room,  that was bigger and had the AC in the bed area.

The AC in the room was noisy and yet not cooling, the bed was squeaky and not comfortable

but more than comfortable, although the aircon is very loud.

My room was filthy, the AC was of another age and making really bad noise.

Okay, so others have mentioned the 'worn beige' decor and the noisy aircon,

A/C unit in the room is an old outdated equipment making high noise and impossible to sleep!

No way one can sleep with that unit turned on.

Staffs were very respectful .The restaurant manager was out of this world with service,he was very helpful, making sure the event went well, the food,the drinks,the hall was well done…Regina the waitress was very helpful as well.
