My trip is great, I loved the ambience, staffs were friendly, the breakfast was such a delight, rooms are comfortable and the view is so beautiful.

The food is amazing and buffet is available everyday with a range of options/changes throughout the week so you dont get bored, I had the buffet everyday just coz there were so many options).

Lovely hotel, breakfast was beautiful and the kids loved it, the rooms are quite comfortable and the pool was refreshing.

The reception was great,  I love the fact that attention was paramount,  my requests were fulfilled and the food was amazing especially the breakfast.

I love the services, breakfast, the comfort of the rooms, the quietness and Internet not forgetting the gym. .

My kids really enjoyed their time here especially the medium sized fluffy pancakes.

My stay was okay, I enjoyed the breakfast and as well my gym time.

The Complimentary Breakfast was good and has varieties to select from.

Their Breakfast is awesome, just that their varieties has reduced drastically compared to 2 months ago.

The staff team practically turned a blind eye and left me to deal with my daughter getting sick from eating breakfast at the hotel.

Breakfast is a great addition  - i am usually weary about complimentary breakfast -

Clean hotel, friendly staff, good choices of breakfast, lunch &dinner, love the chocolate drink, will recommend & stay all over again,

The restaurant and deck area are comfortable and the menu is tasty (buffet breakfasts are excellent).

but they probably should switch cleaning agents to get a glossier finish for the bathroom

Some attention to details like cleaner carpets and better quality towels would also go a long way to improving the feel of the place.

The only recommendation would be response time for the Room service and Housekeeping team.

The toilet was not well cleaned when we got there,

The room and floor smelt of damp, carpets filthy, sheets tattered and torn, room not cleaned properly, cups etc arrive covered in grime.

It looked like they aren't cleaned frequently.

The experience I got here from the reception to the housekeeper cleaning my room, made me think like the management has invested much in training their staff.

My overall experience was horrendous, I didn't feel safe here, one of the cleaners even tried to barge into my room without knocking.

no floor towels until I requested from housekeeping.

Attention should be paid to cleaning and maintenance as my room had biscuit crumbs on the desk on the first night

however the noise of the generator did not allow me to sleep well in room 326, the carpet of the room need proper cleaning or replacement, lighting system is excellent, the hotel lift is also great

but nobody came, after a while, I called and someone came but he barely cleaned the floor, put some deodorant and left.

Issues with system at check and some isseus with housekeeping.

bathroom needs an upgrade, new towels needed, carpet needs to be cleaned.

The House keepers didn't come to clean till mid afternoon daily.

Thou I had to request for room cleaning on a particular day since no one had come , my request was attended to promptly.

I found my experience a bit poor as I expected a cleaner room and better service.

The cleaning crew ensured it was always refreshed and crisp when I returned to the hotel after a long day.

..understanding it could be an oversight as the cleaner may have assumed "it is closed, it must be unused" a simple paper-seal could have prevented it.

The hallway carpet is covered in stains and the walls are dirty.

the bathroom ammenities are old, have permanent stains, little things like room slippers, bathroom robe and showercap were not available in the room, and the water  from the tap was light brownish.

I was initially checked into a terrible smoking room that stank with burns on the floor and stains of the tables and bed.

but too many stains on the rug in the room.

Back to my room shower not draining, chipped furniture with water stains on table.

Then when i went  to inspect my bed before sleeping, the sheets had dirt stains.

but carpets need to be removed as there are some stains everywhere.

As it was very busy, the room I was allocated was poor, with tired furniture, stains and no towels.

The carpets in the corridors and rooms are dirty with stains etc. 2.

Opened the door to a musty, smelly room with poor lighting with quite a few bulbs not working ( maybe to hide the many little mysterious stains on the carpet, upholstery and bed covers).

Room had brown water coming from the tap and a nasty orange stain on the very old rug.

stains on carpet were already there last year, cleanness, missing tiles in the pool, polluted and smelly lagoon, could not open sink in the bathroom,  erratic lifts, etc.

Also, breakfast seemed to be under-staffed as it takes ages to clear tables when people leave, while new clients coming in may not have a place to sit and it was difficult to get a waiter’s attention.

It was done in dark, rich contemporary tones comprising of a black leather chair, wooden tables, a plush blue, black & cream chair and couch, a velvet/suede headboard, brown & cream carpet, tan wooden floors, faux white & black marble wall finishings, and pale cream walls and curtains.

We had to get someone's attention to give us a table and the staff just seemed really non challant and disorganised.

I reminded her that I had been in the restaurant going round in circles looking for a clean table for at least ten minutes possibly more and in that time none of the tables had been cleared!!!

The working chair and table in the room is designed for maximum bad posture and discomfort.

but the food was not worth the money,
I had the Manager of Sales come to our table at breakfast and ask how our stay was going so I told her about the rooms etc.

I had to walk up to the waiters, all three mornings to ask them to clear the table, and then again to order a coffee.

The pool terrace and bar service was atrocious, prior to escalating to management, waiters just ignored me as a solo female diner, gravitating to the tables with large non resident groups.

This definitely added to the excellent service of the staff, The kids had So much fun at the pool side, game arena, football pitch e.t.c We really enjoyed everything that was served, from the kiddies menu to the yummy Adult menu .

I enjoyed daily breakfasts with a good spread of choices on the cold and hot buffet

The buffet was great with many local and international selections which were continuously replenished.

.. buffet is best option if you are wanting a quick meal
WiFi is painful to log into.

Dinner in the restaurant was excellent, way better than the breakfast.

Breakfasts are good, service levels are generally high and the wifi works well (once you manage to log on).

Breakfast was very good and included in the room price that I got ($160/night).

In the bathroom the hot water arrived quickly and was plentiful and the amenities were adequate.

Circular driveway entry, modern aesthetics inlcuding a casino, pool with sliding boards, modern aesthetics, nice breakfast and dinner buffet, and spacious rooms.

The buffet breakfast was the best I’ve had in Lagos to date; a well-cooked English/intercontinental breakfast is available, along with almost all Nigerian breakfast cuisine - there was such a wide range I was spoilt for choice!

I enjoyed the dinner buffet, it was great.

The setting is luxurious and elegant.

Great breakfast, nice view of the sea and a decent gym.

The buffet lunch and breakfasts are always good.

Both delicious and more than enough to allow me to skip lunch!

The food was better than other hotels in Lagos and breakfast had lots of options.

but at least the beer is cold in the bar.

The bacon was cold and tough, sausages were, too.

but be warned that this is hot pepper soup and you might need a bottle of cold water and handkerchief as you savour the pepe soup (it's more or less like chewing hot peper) for first timers.

Dont stay here, Was first down for breakfast buffet, everything was cold When I complained I was advised it had only just been put out & food warmeres take time to heat food - Nice

Both my colleagues and myself came back with a cold from this trip.

Food takes forever to serve and once it arrives the food is cold.

I have also noticed that they have taken the comments of airconditioning into account - it was too cold at one stage and this is much better now.

The Hotel firstly needs a bit of a face lift.

The rooms are starting to get a little tired though, the bathrooms in particular; and the lifts weren’t working as well as all that.

Then on the third day, I was followed to the lift and told that I would not be allowed to go upstairs until I signed the sign-in book for guests.

The hotel is in a good state of repair and most things seemed to work, apart from one of two lifts which was out of order for my entire stay, creating some queues.

One elevator was out of order for our entire stay which often caused quite a wait depending on the time of day.

However, during one such incident, I was in the lift and ended up stuck there until power resumed about 2-3 minutes later (I guess the backup generator doesn't power the lift to the nearest floor).

Use the stairs if you don't want to get stuck in the lift when the power goes off.

It is because of this poor service that I have given them 3 Stars when they should have gotten between 4 and 4.5 and this is a shame as the food was really good.

Check in was very poor as the rooms I had paid for were given up

Not great on the way to the gym, pretty poor on the way back to the room!

The chef burned the omelette, how do you burn eggs?

The rooms are dated and smell of mould, diesel and must.

This was reported to staff and we were told that it  could be that some work some was being done on the main drain.

The room was not clean at all, smelled of damp and there were insects in the room.

I rated it average for Lagos.

I was told that sometimes it is triggered when guests smoke in non-smoking rooms!

but after that I had to complain about the strong smell of cannabis in the corridor for 3 nights and nothing was done about it.

Rooms are small and has a sligth unpleasent odor, room food service is not thst good.

Thirdly, as the bath is also a shower, there is a fixed panel half the length of the bath which prevents easy access to the taps and means unless you have very long arms, you can't put the bath plug in or turn on the water without getting into the bath - a tense moment as you wait to see whether you have guessed right and the water comes out of the faucet or the shower head.

but old , the new ones are small but have nicer bathrooms.

Change all bugs infested mattresses, deal with the mould and mildew in your bathrooms, get rid of cockroaches in the wardrobes, supervise your housekeeping team, protect young children coming to use your pool from indecent exposures, tone down on the vulgarity around, inform your customers the next time you planned to hold pool parties, blast music all night at Christmas and New Year, have respect for other customers and their children when it comes to your loud music and give your entire staff training on information governance (confidentiality)..Shhh!🙊

 A complaint is in progress to the Lagos state government and then to federal government in pursuit of justice.

I will list my issues below: 

- Bathroom was grimey, has piping issues which meant that I could not shower properly.

Despite stating my preferences in terms of Bathroom type, it wasn't made available.We were then reluctantly "upgraded" to a Focus Room which had a musty smell.TV had loud,piercing sound in background!

The hotel has been open a few years and is starting to look a little tired both outside and in the rooms, and the bathroom looked a bit aged.

Maintenance- 1) light bulbs working, TV not working, Shower not working due to water pressure.

The bathroom area has a stupid design where the handle for the shower is hidden under the tap - if you don't know and turn on the water, you get blasted by an uncontrollable hose spraying water in the direction of where housekeeping last left it - either at the ceiling or directly at you!

I did notice that the bathtub while showering is quite slippery because of the configuration of the bathtub itself.

 THE SALT WATER JUST MADE IT HORRIBLE

The rooms are well laid out and the beds/bedding first class, an observation is the bathroom fittings are in need of service and some previous repairs should be completed in order not to tarnish this Hotels reputation.

The most noticeable thing was the striking decor-think shabby chique French boutique mirrors, chairs, chaise longues etc.

Small bottled water was supplies along with bathroom amenities.

Toilet broke down once as it did not flush,

On the flip side, I was disappointed with the bathroom in my room.

The toiletries (shampoo and conditioner) were used by the guests before me and not replenished.

But the water coming from the faucets is YELLOW.

Next time I will not forget to have some shower gel and some shampoo with me, just in case that they are not refilled and it is too late for getting some when needed, either from staff or from the reception.

Turn the shower heater on and leave it on so you always have a hot shower.

If you pay for it you can have breakfast for two

The breakfast had a huge variety available and ran for a good amount of time every morning.

I had had the pleasure of dining at every restaurant within the hotels venue and dare anyone to find a better selection of local, continental, Indian, Japanese, Italian and Lebanese fare anywhere in Lagos.

you can get continental,Italian as well as very good Indian food at good rates.

though you could order your eggs as to your liking.

The chef at the Blowfish obviously takes pride in the food, and offers a mix of continental, indian, thai and other cuisines.

Do try the buffet breakfast here which won't
disappoint you .

The staff are friendly and the complimentary buffet breakfast was a pleasant surprise as it wasn't indicated when I booked.

The hotel has a perfect breakfast buffet.

Breakfast wasn't bad: they made eggs to order and had a selection of breads, pastries, meats, and warm dishes.

I was stayed for a week, nice experience, room are big, free WiFi, good breakfast, having multi cuisine restaurants. enjoyed.

but had mezze a couple of times and that was really delicious.

We had tried the spring rolls, Mutton biryani and Pollo Al Limone was perfect.

It's a very secure environment, food is delicious, products at the supermarket are reliable and the prices are available for all customers.

It is my first time and I loved every tiny bit,  from scenery, quiet environment, delicious meal and the good part of the meal was the fact that you have different choices from thai to Indian, Chinese .

According to the information given to us by the front desk staff, receipts and invoices are given on the day of check out.

For about the fifth time in my trips to the Blowfish, I confirmed that I needed to add another night the day before I was to check out.

and the bed was uncomfortable  After one night of the hotel, we had to check out and go to a different hotel.

but did give the front desk 1 hours notice to get the authorisation prior to check out.

Check-in went without any difficulties, there were 3 porters in the front to bring in my luggage from the vehicle and up to our room.

Double check your bills and expect a few extras.

The light fittings are mostly broken the bulbs are broken one bedside lamp works occasionally.

I had to pay again to stay in another hotel (I have receipts to prove it) Lighting in the room of this PINK-painted hotel is VERY POOR - no wall lamps, no ceiling lamps - You have to manage with the bedside lamp and an improvised standing lamp which was generating too much heat.

The rooms could do with a little maintenance visit, light bulbs need replacing, little cracks here and there

but let down by little niggles - lights not working, wobbly taps.

but the room was cold and dark and had no windows or natural light.

The view overlooked the parking lot, so there wasn't anything to see,

Try to avoid a room right over the parking lot, as it can be noisy.

It has security guards at the entrance and secured (limited space) parking.

Parking etc is a huge problem as areas outside the hotel is very limited.

My room was over the parking lot and close to the street so it wasn't very quiet

My colleague and I had terribly dirty and noisy rooms.

The music was too load, such that it was becoming difficult to talk to and hear each other.

Avoid the weekend for your stay, as parties are running near the pool, and this is very very noisy

Woken at 11:30 pm one Sunday night with what sounded like someone knocking down a wall in my room for f^*k sakes what is that all about.

Very  very noisy at night 😤, food is expensive.

but make sure you book a room near the pool and not next to the generators as they a quite noisy and vibrate a lot when they are running.

It's just a shame people in the UK say disturbing comments about Nigeria and how unsafe it is.

The only Bemol was last time when I arrived late and after a nice meal at the restaurant left to sleep arround 10PM and I heard noise at the back of the room, I checked out I saw people working even  on sunday night and it was for a good 20mns making noise with tools hammer etc..

but my colleague said that his was very noisy?

but sadly loses out as it is inefficient and very noisy.

but not guaranteed in Lagos, and the generators worked eel when the electricity cut out.

but the problem is to go to the center of Lagos which is a hell in term of traffic so consider to spend 1 hour to 90 min to arrive to your destination in the center but the most important think is Lagos it's that it's very secure.

however, as they say, if you pay for it, then expect to get the service which i did, when i go out with  my fiancee, the waiters constantly stare at her as she is very beautiful, i feel flattered as she is been acknowledged, however the constant stare can get very annoying.

The hotel has a major plumbing problem, when you open any water tab in the bathroom, red rusty water comes down for a few minutes before the water, presumably and hopefully, clears up.

My first room was just above the generators and the 2nd room had a water leak.

Cant get hot water in the shower for the past 3 times i stayed.

The water pressure in shower is very low,

The most annoying observation was absence of water pressure at night and in the morning colured, presumably rusty, tap water.

The water in the bathroom is either super hot or cold and nothing in between.

Breakfast is nice as it considers local and foreigners.

Food was great - especially the nigerian breakfast.

My favourite yam and egg sauce were there too.

They also cater to your specific egg style.

Breakfast was pretty good with plenty of options.

Organised and professional service rendered, neat uniform and smiling faces, tasty breakfast in restaurant and nice meals.

..seems that a lot of people come here for the food.I can testify to that very nice breakfast and lunch

Breakfast was good and the coffee service there was nice.

The breakfast buffet had some traditional dishes and continental fare.

It was my second time in this hotel, like previously I really enjoy the stay, The staff are friendly, the restaurant is nice and a lot of varieties in the breakfast.

The breakfasts were tasty, and the one meal I had there was also delicious.

The breakfast buffet is substansial, the gym is fantastic (though the guy at the gym is the laziest instructor ever) and the pool is small and nice.

It could be with investment in a thorough renovation

The hotel is an old granny and definitely needs refurbishment,

but it needs to close for a few months and go through a top to bottom refurbishment before I would consider staying there.

i had to change my room thrice first one Bathroom fittings were not working second one Airconditoner was not working and finally with no option to change further room lock was not working and each time i needed someone from reception with master key to get inside my room 

I think they are undergoing some renovation

but the hotel needs a total refurbishment!

This is my second review of this hotel

What happening i think the hotel needs some renovation, the room i stayed had moulds beginning to grow on the walls, Room service did not replace some of the items, and the staffs were overly friendly that they forgot to be professional.

Unfortunately rooms are at age and need renovation.
