Noise, condition of the rooms, presence of homeless folks, mechanical issues of elevators, plumbing, etc.

I had read previous reviews about homeless people in the area and there is a shelter a block away

(Headboard lamps, USB ports…) We didn’t hear a lot of external noise, just the train a couple of times and the neighbors every now and then.

Although is a little off the beaten path and looks to be in an industrial neighborhood.

You can hear your neighbors every so often, especially the little kids.

it is located in a sketchy area, not a nice area to walk around, especially at night.

However, while my husband and I were happy to walk to Old Town in the daylight, walkability after dark is a bit questionable.

The neighborhood is going through some construction and there seems to be a homelessness problem in the area.

I booked a room with two queen beds…spacious with fridge & microwave, the best pillows and mattress, and when you close the door, you can’t hear anything from the outside world (Okay, noisy neighbors hooting it up outside my door at 7:30am, and the National Anthem on a loud speaker at 8am from the serious-looking Naval War complex across the street)

We were unfortunate to have some very noisy neighbours on 1 of our 4 nights,

however as, apart from the Old town, the neighborhood seems a little seedy (and anyway uninteresting), even if I didn't have any security problem.

but a bit scary if you are coming back in the dark.

Some reviewers here showed their concerns because of homeless people by the station.

There were three or four harmless homeless people who bedded down under the freeway overpass each night we were there,

One thing that did surprise me was that there is a small homeless encampment about a block away

but at no time did I feel I was in any danger.

but in the future would prefer something in a walkable neighborhood.

Rooms are clean and the beds are extremely comfortable.

Very comfortable bed and linens; very clean room and bathroom; nice staff.

The room was spotless with room service every day and regular fresh bed linen.

The facilities are well cared for, our room was really clean, and their breakfast was nice.

PROs - nicely landscaped around the grounds, clean pool with adequate seating poolside, very friendly and helpful staff, located close to sites and Old Town, very nice breakfast, comfortable beds and reasonably clean rooms, reasonably priced.

We were very impressed with how clean our room was.

The only drawback is the lack of shopping amenities within walking distance.

Realize that enlarging the bathroom would not be practical.

People were taking showers even after midnight (it woke me up a couple of times).

Our only complaint is that the toilet/shower area was really small and the water pressure is t the greatest

Ours ran half through the showerhead and half through the run spice no matter what we did.

We miss the counter space in the bathroom,

Cons- no elevator to second floor, bathroom had almost no storage space, shower worked

The sink is outside the bathroom so it's still accessible when the bathroom is occupied. 3.

The shower made loud noise via pipes in walls and there is added parking fee that seems unnecessary considering the hotel is on a road with many other hotels and has plenty of parking.

Bathroom, toilet area could do with an update.

The bathroom is very small with weird stone flooring, and the fixtures are older.

Rooms were ok. Bathroom was very small, and you could hear everything outside your door since it is a motel and if neighboring rooms were taking showers.

The only thing I wanted to point out is that in the bathroom in the corner of the wall, it appeared to have mildew/mold from moisture of some sort.

Our stay was very pleasant, food in both restaurants were delicious, staff friendly and kind, room was tidy and clean.

If you expect a high class hotel, you might be disappointed - low ceilings, deep carpets, thin walls. I was happy in King‘s Inn for three nights,

My wife and I did take some cold showers and we were not happy about that.

If you turned on the shower water came shooting out of the shower head and faucet at same time.

For the remaining 2 days noone came to fix the sink, and it progressively got fully clogged.

There wasn't any water pressure in the shower.

Our sink was also plugged and the toilet ran.

The pocket door into the bathroom stuck when closed and was hard to open.

Rude and the rooms were terrible.AC problems, rooms smelled like mildew and rust everywhere, family we were there with had a major leak from the bathroom light/light, it was literally falling from the ceiling.

Mold in the bathroom, a smell in the hallways, room doors that don’t lock, uncomfortable beds.

Bathroom pocket door would not shut so we just yelled out "don't look" when using the bathroom as there was a mirror reflecting into the bathroom.

Amenities were disappointing compared to the extended-stay place we stayed at previously.

The sliding door to the bathroom didn't work well and had about a 3 inch gap if you closed it as much as you could.

Front desk was very kind except for a women working on 2/18 morning shift when I called for a toothbrush with the worst attitude, unapproachable sounded very bothered.

It smelled horrible..the rooms are old..the beds are hard ..the shower is old and dirty .

The faucets are old and falling to piece.

The bathroom had some of the worst repairs I've seen in years.

No breakfast and the sink was a little high in the room.

Charging for parking — make sure they know you don’t have a car if you do not — is also specious.

They charge for parking, no free breakfast, the walls are pretty thin, the parking lot has plenty of spaces

Later that day I got a text from my credit card company that someone was using my credit card and had tried to purchase over $500.00 worth of merchandise.

Typically that is a flop house charge 
Wtf paid parking for a Motel ???

There is a charge for early check in which I have never incurred anywhere before.

I only thing i didnt like was that they charge you $10 if you have a car.

And a $25 surcharge to check in an hour early.

Also, they will charge you 10 bucks a night for parking.

No computer table chair, mushy beds, door cards that don't hold their charge so multiple trips to the front desk for a reprogram.

I asked for a refund of the full 30 day charges on my credit card and was told "You still have to pay for one day and it will take a week to 10 days for a credit to show up on your statement.

I was not aware that there would be an extra security deposit charge of $100.

I wanted to pay half my bill in cash and the hotel already charged $700 to my credit card.

but the carpet was never vacuumed and was still filthy… I just gave up… also, when booking this hotel read the small print… Parking does not come for free with the room… There is a $10 extra fee charged for parking in the hotel parking lot per night and is not included in the price of the room.

We were charged over $200 per room and every room had bugs; live spiders and ants in the bed.

They did not reply and decided to charge me the FULL AMOUNT in the middle of the night, which they had no right to do so.

To make it worse,  we were charged $10 for parking, 

I asked to check in early they charged me a lot more extra even though I told the rep that I would check out early as well she still charged me almost double of the room even though the rates were so cheap

You sacrifice the cleanliness of your guests vehicles while charging them a $10/day fee to park there?

When we got there we were asked did we bring our car and I said yes and they said if we want to park our car on their property it would be a $10.00 fee per day.

A woman had parked her car near the pool and had her stereo cranked up so loud we could hear it in our room over the tv.

Nice hotel a little far from though good food nearby parking was not free which is a little annoying didn’t clean the room every day and parking was limited would stay again

The parking lot is tight and spaces are tight as well.

You have to pay $10 for parking which we knew about prior to staying

Parking was inconvenient — wound up parking on the other side of our building to have easier access to the elevator.

At 5 am we heard loud music coming from a car that was sitting in the parking lot with loud bass.

Also didn't realize parking was $10/night

Ask about daily fees for parking before making reservation and watch out for drunks.

I would not stay at this hotel again because they tried to cheat me out of my deposit the parking is not that great and you have to go outside in the rain to get ice.

but parking little bit difficult, cause parking aren’t too many and some people double parking.

The room is clean, well apportioned, and - this is a HUGE thing - it has built in wireless charging in the lamps, helping tame the rat's nest of cables I usually have to dig out to charge all my devices.

The hotel room was always clean and the staff was always available.

Outside, elevator, inside the hallway in the room, the furniture was old carpets had a smell to them.

People smoking pot and cigarettes everywhere.

The only issues were that the AC unit was super loud, there was no breakfast and the room smelled strongly of cleaner, which is sort of a good thing.

First thing is the odor in the Lobby was bad, then the Room had very bad chemical/cleaning odors.

The room smelt heavily of chlorine, pillows uncomfortable, shower difficult to work and there are no curtains so it’s very hard to sleep and not private as you can see people walking past.

but we still had a cleaning fee do to a "smell".

The room had a bad odor when opening the door and when we sat on the bed was noticed how very uncomfortable it was.

The bathroom is disgusting not only small

The other room we had did not smell, so it was probably just the one room issue for us.

Bugs in the bathroom, nasty smell when we arrived, everything was dirty/grimy, clumps of dust sticking to the ceiling and along the walls, a coffee maker that apparently has never been cleaned, bath tub that seemed to be worn out.

The only issue was the smell, there was a somewhat strong mildew smell that I found was coming from the AC unit, there looked to do dirt, mildew, or mold in it which isn’t ideal, this could easily be just that particular unit.

Besides the odor, the floors were also very dirty with visible shoe prints and dirt marks.

Which was so small barely had room to place luggage, it smelled, seemed dirty and the bathroom looked like it just been used and left!!

Came back late again and it smelled of mold and mildew.

I got up to use the bathroom and found a BUG in the bathtub. Gross.

We were grossed out and told the management about it and canceled our second night stay.

Our room smells like urine coming from the floor and TV control not working.

Definitely never coming back as we did not feel safe in our disgusting room.

but it just had this stink of an elderly home.
