Breakfast was continental in style and more than adequate.

Having coffee and breakfast in the pool area each morning was delightful.

The facilities are well cared for, our room was really clean, and their breakfast was nice.

Breakfast in the morning was plenty to get you on your way.

Breakfast is good - continental style with a choice of cereals, patsies, waffles etc.

The Lobby and breakfast area were very nice and the breakfast had nothing left to be desired.

I had read previous reviews about homeless people in the area and there is a shelter a block away

(Headboard lamps, USB ports…) We didn’t hear a lot of external noise, just the train a couple of times and the neighbors every now and then.

Although is a little off the beaten path and looks to be in an industrial neighborhood.

You can hear your neighbors every so often, especially the little kids.

it is located in a sketchy area, not a nice area to walk around, especially at night.

However, while my husband and I were happy to walk to Old Town in the daylight, walkability after dark is a bit questionable.

The neighborhood is going through some construction and there seems to be a homelessness problem in the area.

I booked a room with two queen beds…spacious with fridge & microwave, the best pillows and mattress, and when you close the door, you can’t hear anything from the outside world (Okay, noisy neighbors hooting it up outside my door at 7:30am, and the National Anthem on a loud speaker at 8am from the serious-looking Naval War complex across the street)

We were unfortunate to have some very noisy neighbours on 1 of our 4 nights,

however as, apart from the Old town, the neighborhood seems a little seedy (and anyway uninteresting), even if I didn't have any security problem.

but a bit scary if you are coming back in the dark.

It’s a bit of an unusual place, in an industrial neighborhood,

Some reviewers here showed their concerns because of homeless people by the station.

There were three or four harmless homeless people who bedded down under the freeway overpass each night we were there,

One thing that did surprise me was that there is a small homeless encampment about a block away

but at no time did I feel I was in any danger.

but in the future would prefer something in a walkable neighborhood.

Breakfast ladies (Tata, Julia, Amelia) were welcoming & provided a great service - always a banana kept aside for us, and a changing menu daily.

They offer daily eggs, sausages, toast, juice and waffles that are blandly edible.

Had a pretty descent breakfast in the morning.

Pros: Ideal location, cleanliness, satisfying breakfast

Cons: Outdated décor and no immediate response to internet disruption

The complimentary breakfasts and evening happy hour specials were tasty and appreciated.

Breakfast was ok, there was eggs every day, sometimes with a different addition to them and the breads, bagels and muffins were good, a bit dry.

We appreciated the hot meals (breakfast and dinner) and cold beverages offered each day of our stay.

Breakfast n dinner served and family friendly place to just worry about the attractions and rest is taken care at the hotel

The meals breakfast and dinner were very good.

Dinner one of our two night were delicious homemade cheese enchiladas and rice accompanied by a complementary Modelo beer.

We also appreciated the nice complimentary breakfast as it even had hot items offered.

They have a great selection of breakfast items and there dinners are always good we like to start on Thursday night with hamburgers and hot dogs.The property is very clean.

Rooms are huge and the free breakfast and parking are a huge plus!!!

The room I stayed smells, the AC is too loud, the bedding does not fit.

The overpowering fragrance was so intense that it caused my eyes to water and triggered an immediate headache.

however, that, after we pointed out the issues and the fact that we were unsatisfied  with the room and were planning on moving, the front desk staff attempted to have a better room available. When we looked at it, the room had the same deficiencies (mold, unstacked kitchenette, etc.)

The room has a stale smell, The shower floor bubbles / lifts up and feels gritty.

-Sink: smells of bacteria build up whenever you run water.

The room smelled badly—like old cigarette smoke or mold.

Our room floor had something sticky in the tile and the stairways were filthy.

Hotel clerk doesn’t wear mask properly.

All in all, it was ok.

Some of the halls on our floor we very much under construction, and you had to watch where you walk anywhere you're at in the hotel due to construction debris.

To make up for this inconvenience, I was given a room adjacent to the exit where seemingly the entire hotel staff step out to smoke, at all hours of the day and night, along with other guests.

When a person is already showering, a clogged drain cannot be corrected anymore - just deal with it.

There’s a saying as it relates to companies with poor leadership, that, “The fish stinks from the head down.” Not this fish!!!

However there is a pervasive smell in the entryway and throughout the hallways/rooms (actually, 3 different strange smells, I'd say) that were very hard to stomach.

Trust me, I can tell the difference between real and "chemical" eggs and these were the real deal.

Isabel provided a wonderful hot breakfast and was so kind to help us accommodate a food allergy!

The room was spacious and breakfast had good varieties.

The Free breakfast is so good it is very clean and the room we got was so accommodating.

As well as the Kitchen staff (Isabel, Fili, Ana, George, Lita and Francisco) for always serving the best breakfast and for a wonderful manager reception (Allison & Virginia)!

The breakfast was great - you can tell they use real eggs for their scramble and everything else was fresh and two steps above what you usually find at a free hotel breakfast.

The staff was friendly and helpful and the complimentary breakfast was quite good.

Hot Breakfast was a nice touch to our stay & plenty to choose from.

Breakfast combines fresh and prepared food.

Great breakfast every morning:) Waffles, fruits, bagels, yogurts, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, and green salsa was a delight for my family;)  Front desk goes above and beyond to accommodate your requests.

The breakfast is awesome and on weekdays they do happy hour with free beer, wine and snacks!

I asked him what 10,000 Hilton Honors points would correlate to in dollars (I'm guessing a whopping $10), to which he had no idea; leaving me to heat our dinner with the microwave in the public breakfast area.

The buffet breakfast was surprisingly good.

The free breakfast was good and the hotel was in a great location and had some nice outdoor areas.

The breakfast was plentiful, offering a wide variety of selections, included seasoned eggs and ham.

Two days later, Allison had to show me the charges, in depth, because I logged in to see that the credit card company had messed up again.

The parking charges are straight up robbery in my opinion.

We had to leave a day early and they didn't even charge us a penny and were so nice about it.

Only thing that seemed unnecessary was the charge for parking when there was so much room in the parking lot.

Charging $19/night for parking in this area seemed a bit ridiculous.

We were also charged $25 a night for incidentals that should be credited back to us soon.

The hotel does charge for parking and if you do the digital check-in they automatically assume you're parking.

Also be aware of additional parking fee which they never used to charge.

but only because I inquired why the charge was more than I was quoted.

$14/day park fee is not necessary and should not be charged to hotel guests!

They’ve started charging for parking and required me to pay $14 to park in what appears to be a public lot – there are restaurants and stores that share the same lot.

The take the card for “incidentals” and upon checkout there is a $14/day fee.

Just a thought - you should not charge for parking overnight

To the hotel's credit, I reported this when checking out and was comped for parking for one night.

There was a ceiling smoke detector that flashed an annoying light every three seconds that was disruptive when the room was dark.

No smells and everything is CLEAN…like I check everything because I’m so afraid of touching something sticky or something that could be overlooked like the inside of the curtains (I know, it’s a problem).

Walked into our room and it smelled like straight bleach.

Get there and low and behold, no smoking allowed inside the rooms.

My husband had to physically take out the garbage every night down to the first floor so it would not smell up the room.

although a little dated and smelt a bit foisty.

Sleeper sofa was soiled and while you should never expect much comfort out of a folding mattress it was nowhere near acceptable even for a teen.

Dinner/evening meal: only tried Greek Night; stale Pita, and salad on offer.

There was also dried urine on the bathroom floor around the toilet.

Probably the only small criticism I have is the location of the smoking area right outside the entrance to the rooms - not a great look,

A few things that could be improved: hallway carpet too dark and had a odor.

Rooms were very dirty, we were given a handicapped room which was nasty the bathroom was so disgusting I didn't bother showering in the hotel room, it was horrible, under the bed we found socks that didn't belong to us, the bathroom towels were dirty, I felt bad cause I found and booked the hotel

The maid did not come to make up the room until after 4PM each day and the utensils in the breakfast area had a dirty residue on them.

The room had a bad smell that they could not get rid of.

We came under bad circumstances after a sewage flood in our home.

An indoor heated pool with an outdoor hot tub,  They serve an amazing breakfast style buffet in the morning that is delicious.

We even had breakfast the next morning as we had an early appt to get to.

Many of the employees, the breakfast staff, the restaurant staff and especially Nate, the Bellman were great.

A positive thing on note was definitely the Koi pond, and how relaxing the waterfalls are, you do feel like you’re somewhere else for a moment, and the breakfast was amazing and the breakfast staff is incredible!

Morning breakfast is great and if you make it to the evening reception time, a complimentary drink or two is fun.

A good hot breakfast with cooked to order eggs is a plus.

The included breakfast in the morning is pretty awesome.

The breakfast buffet was probably the best of an Embassy we’ve ever stayed at.

The complimentary breakfast was great and the breakfast staff is very friendly and efficient .

There were multiple families trying to use the elevators and it took us over 10min to simply reach our rooms.

A pack of 7 young girls approximately 8 or 9 years old got on the elevator with me, screaming and giggling and got off a few floors after getting on.

I never had to wait long for an elevator; there were hand sanitizers and antibacterial wipes everywhere.

The noise level amped up significantly on Wednesday night/Thursday when all the young hockey players arrive with their parents for weekend tournaments  These young people (mostly boys) are loud, boisterous, running up and down hallways, pushing and shoving their way ahead of patiently waiting guests at the elevators and the drink bars, etc.

Kids were running around and playing on elevators.

There were 6 feet place stickers on the floor at check in desk area and elevator areas.

The airport bus is not available, yet you can cram yourself in their elevator with a bunch of mask less strangers.

The elevators were taken over by children riding them up and down like a Disneyland ride.

Looks nice until you step out of the elevator.

I was offered another room right by the elevator as an alternate.

Their elevators are probably some of the fastest I’ve seen in a while.

Tips: Get a AAA package that includes parking otherwise its 35$/day,drop of luggage in front entrance,no elevators in parking structure
Be a Hilton Honors member(free) otherwise 12.95$/ day

Only complaint is my key card did not work to get out of parking garage even upon replacement

I thought the fee of $35 to park was a little high especially since they don't have an elevator and its 3 stories tall.

Four elevators allows for very short wait times to go up or down.

The noise was from screaming, kids running and yelling floor to floor, riding the elevators up and down etc, etc.

Parking garage is crazy - no elevator and dangerous to exit.

Only drawbacks are the breakfast is very busy and you have to swipe your room card to get an omelette and the wait for the elevators (and the fact you cannot access the stairs to walk up.

Drop your bags at the entrance before parking because there is no elevator in the structure and it is not attached to the hotel.

I've always hated the parking garage, which is shared and has no elevator (a pain when you're traveling alone with luggage),

but they charge for parking like a lot of places.

But why is parking not included and $40 a night extra.

It wasn't cheap and they charge $40/day for parking.

Parking is $40 a day, and DO NOT pick the room option with a sofa bed.

Not so great:
Parking: $40 a day….ouch.

Additionally, freeway access was so close by; the UTC up-scale mall was right across the street with so many restaurant choices, not to mention PF Changs is in the same parking lot.

Parking is $38 dollars which is the only downside,

Ch  as thing for parking and Wi-Fi adds an extra 60$ a day to my bill that’s excessive.

Presidential suite Salvage that weekend got an excellent rate here for the largest room on the property you're still a ways from everything else parking is so horrible one way in and one way out did not really help when you had to move the family otherwise if you can deal with that parking situation is for staying here

Parking garage has narrow, one way traffic, super annoying in a jam packed lot.

Oh and parking is $36/night which is rediculous.

Wasnt expected to have to pay for nightly parking.

If they pay a slight attention, they should know that the size is not right and the pad should never be on top of a bed sheet.

Picking a room - there are limited options if you want to pick your room as you are checking in on the app unless you want to pay for upgrades…by limited I’m talking there are 11 floors and I was only offered 4 rooms to choose from…every other available room required a paid upgrade.

She finally said she found the initial reservation and was finalizing our room (which I thought the problem was fixed, since I had already paid for the room.

I think the nightly rate must be attracdtive to these families and the fact that one room can house 4-6 young people

I was told it would still cost 50.00 more.

Restaurant is only open 2 days Friday and Saturday and room service is ridiculously expensive, chicken wings and a cocktail, $50

If you’re into old and rundown hotels with a premium price, this is it!

Nightly rates are almost doubled at $220.00.

I basically felt like I was staying in the middle of a daycare that was costing me over $400 per night.

Also we didn’t have to pay for WiFi because it was included.

Cons: Water in shower won't drain and AC kept shutting off on auto.

Bathroom did NOT have a fan or any ventilation.

but would hope for cleaner carpets and bathroom vents!

The a/c doesn’t have a constant fan sound.

Only issue was the heater and/or AC system was very loud.

The room was so noisy that I had to turn off both the fridge and the air unit to sleep.

The AC does not stay cold throughout the night so if you tend to be more warm-blooded when you sleep, this is not the place for you.

I called front desk and they tell me to switch off the AC and that they sent me a standing fan as a solution. Really??

AC could be set to correct temp and this was a real good thing because most places are either too hot or too cold.

Get up to change a/c temperature and as soon as we did a constant LOUD BANGING NOISE would occur that was unbearable and a/c wouldn't work unless it was on 72 so we turn it off til it got to hot and turned it back on to 72 to freeze our

The air-conditioner was a little problematic, as it seemed preset to a temp warmer than we would like.

There was a constant rattle coming from somewhere in the AC duct work.

There is no working vent or fan in the bathroom.

Upon check in we did notice a dirty AC filter, it was fixed while we were out for supper that evening, about 2 hours.

The AC unit thermostat area had a piece that was loose, nothing was wrong just not aesthetically pleasing.

Only complaint  we have is ac unit in our room doesn't cool down after 78 degrees.

the "suite" had a very poor layout and it was dark, stuffy and unbelievably filthy.

The air-conditioning unit was noisy and was weak.
