When we opened the door to our suite we immediately had views of the beautiful waters of St. Tropez Bay.

This is our favourite hotel, the location is right on the doorstep of the sea, 5 mins walk to Ste Maxime and about 10 mins drive to beach Naturelle, everything really is on your doorstep
The Staff and facilities just make this hotel year on year.

The hotel / room was very clean and close to restaurants and beach!

The location is good being virtually on the seafront with a 5 minute level walk into town.

This little hotel delivered on that with a great view over the St Tropez Bay.

so you can enjoy the view from your balcony over the bay towards st Tropez first floor rooms do not have view .

The room had terrific  views over St Tropez  bay,  a fridge bar and drink making facilities really lovely.

We were lucky with the weather given that it was late-October, with wall-to-wall sunshine, which meant we could make the 10-minute stroll along the seafront to the centre of St Maxime as often as we wished.

The hotel is in a quiet location close to the beach and overlooking the Gulf of St Tropez.

10 minute walk to a lovely sandy beach and plenty of restaurants and shops.

We'd often come back for a swim after the beach at around 4pm and use it for an hour.

It is also extremely well situated for beaches in Ste Maxime and Plage Natural
I am confident we will be back again next year.

We just keep coming back for the fab service, good food, great location, fantastic weather, amazing beaches and it is just superb for families.

however a slightly broader menu would be useful - I for example would have loved a simple omelette on one of the nights, having said that the food is great as was breakfast - we opted for the express breakfast, coffee, pastries, juice etc this was more than enough and really lovely.

Fish soup (boulibaise broth) was outstanding.

5 minutes walk into St maxime which had loads of little shops restaurants and cafes.

However we had an excellent meal in the restaurant with very pleasant staff and enjoyed a complimentary glass of bubbly on the roof with other guests to celebrate Bastille Day and watch the fireworks - very enjoyable!

At the restaurant, waiters are young, a little bit i	inexperienced

Especially  Juliette , she was so wonderful and friendly , made great recommendations for dinners!!

We had two evening meals which were of a good standard.

It is 5 mins walk from Ste Maxime which has plenty of restaurants, shops and bars to choose from.

Montfleuri is approximately 10 mins walk (tops) from the old-town, which is gorgeous and was completely buzzing when we visited round 9pm with people shopping, enjoying dinner, strolling with an ice-cream etc.

We ate in the restaurant on the first night and as our trip was for a birthday they made us a special menu and cake.

They looked after us with great, imaginative vegan dishes that weren’t on the menu.

however the waiter spoke to the chef and he made us a nice vegetarian meal .

The small pool, garden and restaurant offered a lot of charm.

First thing Receptionist asked was whether we had parked okay, and she was ready with suggestions had we been stuck for parking. The room we had was small, and unfortunately there was a squeaky door below us (the kitchens?)

Room was very small and with 2 large suitcases very little space to move around.

Probably a little biased as on arrival the promised inclusive breakfast did not materialise and had a 500 yard walk from the free street parking 
For info we were given one days free breakfast and it was 25 euros a couple so much better wandering into town where you get he same for around 10 euros

Comfortable beds, well  designed rooms and ours had a beautiful big terrace.

We liked very much the size of the suite for a family that has also a very good size terrace.

They did not serve drinks on the terrace when we were there,

The addition of the rooftop terrace is amazing, such a tranquil space to enjoy a drink, admire the view or chat with friends, we loved it.

The hotel pool was also of a high standard as was the terrace and the bathroom in the rooms.

but it is nicely decorated with a Provencal 'feel' both inside and on the beautifully laid out external terrace area.

Our room was a good size with modern style bathroom.Our room was to the rear of the hotel and had a large terrace balcony which had steps up to it from patio doors off the bedroom.

It overlooked the seaside from our beautiful terrace.

Get a sea view with a terrace it's worth the extra.

Plenty of space for a family to spread out, including a lovely little terrace.

The room itself was lovely with a stunning shower room and lovely private terrace.

We had a family room for four, which had 2 separate rooms with 4 real beds, a very nice spacious terrace with table, chairs and 2 sun beds!

Even in mid April, it was obvious that both the pool area and the terrace were sun-traps.

It was a big, bright room with parquet floors, double bed, lovely sitting area with big patio windows looking onto a large private terrace.

For warm weather visits there's a beautiful pool and a large terrace for lounging and hanging out.

The thing we loved the most is that the hotel has a terrace with a great view over the sea and the trees.

Couldn’t even eat breakfast with peace.

Never seen such a beautiful breakfast buffet.

Again J enjoyed a fantastic buffet breakfast in a cooled room which is a very good idea.

The offerings were extensive and everything we had was delicious.

Free shuttle service to the beach and St Tropez is vast and at times by Rolls Royce SUV.

We were blown away by the Rolls Royce shuttle that the hotel provided to take us to and from town.

We have just returned from a short stay at La Messardiere, the staff were remarkable, they took care of all our reservations in the good restaurants and the beautiful beaches, we were disappointed not to be able to get a table to test their gourmet restaurant, that will be for next time, the shuttle service to walk around the city center was really convenient and free, breakfast wonderful and excellent

I am a vegan and I found the breakfast buffet amazing, with soy milk easily available.

Absolutely delectable, gastronomic and scrumptious!

The weather happened to be poor that specific long weekend (rainy days, thunder etc so couldn’t go to the beach) so it was even more visible how this beautiful hotel has become a zoo for families with spoilt children and entitled parents who can’t be kind nor polite to hotel staff.

It gets worse as in my (beautiful) suite (n. 701) - in a secondary hotel building - internet connection is awfully poor and the window-door that opens up on the balcony shakes eerily with any puff of wind making it sound as if a large rodent was knocking on the glass.

In addition, the selection is limited and exactly the same everyday and some items are poor quality. Eg.

The breakfast buffet is very poor, scrambled eggs were disgusting, the bacon was not bacon

The hotel , the service and food are excellent , i only found the concierge to be extremely poor and disinterested otherwise a perfect location for fun and relaxation .

Breakfast is very poor, with low quality products.

We also found that housekeeping were quite poor.

In July the prices were so absurd I refused to stay there, starting rate was 3850€ for a rather basic room for 2 people.

The shower was especially tiny, and not what you would expect for the price.

Overall, super overrated and overpriced, would not go back.

Not what I expect from one of the most expensive hotels in St. Trop.

I never for a minute understood why is St Tropez so famous,why a cocktail should cost 25 euro,what is all the noise about.I've been to many much more picturesque places in the Mediterranean.Sure by keeping prices high like this you block the access of certain kind of people.But I really prefer a more lively crowd.

We proceeded to tell her that wasn't really our desire and that instead we would make accommodations to stay at another hotel and she then replied that we would have to pay for the entire 4 night stay as it was guaranteed.

Everything else is mediocre: sky-high prices in bars and restaurant, poor swimming pool service, very poorly endowed breakfast buffet (although with fresh products).

However, prices in the bar and restaurant are crazy (even by St Tropez strandards).

Buffet breakfast - included in the nightly rate (hence no reason to entice guests each morning which may explain our issue)

Although i found the room rates to be in line and in some cases better than other 5 star resorts, the room service menu is ridiculous.

This is very important, especially since we are quite young and don't have the money to pay for a 40 euro taxi everyday back and forth.

but you can pay a lot more in London for a lot lot worse. .

Lunch for five , restaurant empty 3/4, not sure if they are full to capacity, had a lovely lunch, kids wanted to dip their toes in the pool , price is 40 euro per person if you come from outside, if you use the restaurant , this is halved, so for 12 year olds we still pay 20 per person, for usage of the pool.

We were there from June 28 to June 30
Our regret is the service did not match the price tag and the quality of property.

Although €12 for a coffee at the pool is rather pricey.

We paid for a upgrade and still found this to be average.

The shuttle service to the beach and the village with the shop that they have is great to have and the hotels own beach Jardin Tropezina is just lovely.

The staff are all incredibly helpful and attentive, the shuttle service into the town is an ideal extra that really makes this Chateau worth the visit.

The staff were sensational , the pools , the décor , the food , the shuttle service to the town , the concierge seriously everything was first class plus !

There is also a fantastic 24 hour shuttle service that is just so convenient and handy.

What I think is super great, that the Château de la Messardière offers free shuttle services into St. Tropez and back.

It is so comfortable and well run with well appointed attractive rooms and in the morning a superb breakfast is served on the covered terrace.
