Dot has prepared dinner as well as breakfast for us and the food was excellent!

The stuff is friendly, the breakfast was well prepared and wow the suite we slept in was super clean..Also enjoyed myself in tge pool.

That there was no air conditioner in our room

All I would have liked more was an aircon.

The only negative was the smell on the towels - seems like they did not dry properly and thus smelt of humid laundry.

Would have liked it if the heater was switched on for us.

Aircons should be installed in the rooms, the fans are not to strong as Klerksdorp is generally very aircons.

Perfectly situated for our needs, reasonably clean (except for the linen which was dusty - I had to take an anti-histamine to prevent hay fever from the dust) and with electric blankets and a heater for the cold July winter nights.

A small fan heater for extremely cold weather. 2.

Weird portable air con not really working well and noisy.

Only hiccup was that the rom had no aircon, in the middle of a Highveld summer -

We received a warm, friendly welcome, a cute, clean room, with everything you need, crisp white sheets and towels, comfortable beds, excellent service, delicious breakfast, great value for money.

We were greeted warm and friendly, the room are clean and the breakfast was absolutely amazing.

The room was clean and neat and we had a fantastic breakfast the following morning.

The only drawback I have is the WIFI vouchers and constantly having to forget network to sign back in over multiple devices.

Arrived at 19:00 no electricity, 1 st question how can a guesthouse have four star rating without a generator in South Africa, went out for dinner got back electric gate did not want to open, the receptionist Lin was an angel she came out and tried to help, got the gate open and electricity came back on.

The breakfast was good and there was a sufficient variety of options to choose from.

The little room was self catering and for it size it surprisingly had everything you needed .The food was a 3 course meal and it was delicious.

All of the staff sang happy birthday to my husband at breakfast and they went to so much effort to make everything so special.

We booked and paid at this establishment 1 week in advance for a Saturday evening.

but only a single door (we couldn’t understand the logic), no maintenance at all, no amenities, but very pricy… Not much to mention about breakfast too… We had to stay just because of its location (close to a place that we had to visit).

Toilet seats on other room are too high, a person should seat lifting feet.

You wouldn't describe the bedroom as large and a single door swings through 180° to cover either the toilet or the shower which is a first of us.

That the toilet door to be separated from the shower door for hygiene purposes

but you still have a shoer and bath and toilet literally in your room.

Our on suite bathroom was seperated from the room with a curtain only and once you are behind this curtain there is only a 180 degree glass door that is used to close either the shower or the toilet seperately,

What I didn't like was the room, I wish the toilet was separate from the bedroom.

The design of the bathroom set-up is comically bad, providing no privacy in a double occupied room and no space to put anything such as needed toiletries.

Toilet is not sound proof as the bathroom is separated from the room by means of a curtain.

While I was impressed with room layout and cleanliness, I was greatly disappointed that the hotel offers no complimentary hand lotion!

Makes for a humid room after a shower and not much privacy.

although the bathroom and shower are only separated from the rest of the room by a swinging glass door and a curtain.

Peermont Hotel at Rio is Tops good quality food served during breakfast and
staff service also up to expected standards , will refer friends and family to have fun and the racing cards for the kids a good place to spend time with the kids, swimming pool very good maintained and nice to relax.

As a frequent visitor to Rio, we had certain questions on the serving of breakfast,

room service a must and i can assure that rating will go up when this is in place and more attention need to be given to the Breakfast Buffet.

The buffet breakfast the next morning was great and they even allowed us to pack a take away for the road.

But it was ok and the food was really nice not to talk about the baffy breakfast, that was the nicest of this short stay.

The breakfast on offer caters for anything you might want to kick start your day.

Very lovely place to stay in and the breakfast is lovely one of the main reasons me and my partner enjoy going there.

The breakfast, is amazing, one of the best i have seen for ages, there is so much choice.

It is a typical three star hotel that one would come to expect from the group with welcoming reception areas and a breakfast area adjacent to the reception.

They were also alone at breakfast and unaccompanied by an adult.

The door rubber is sometimes not fit well to close( wear and tear ).

but then returned a few minutes later at my door again.

To try and sleep while kids next door put the TV at the loudest they can.

Was a little confused by the toilet/shower door combination

Sadly, the vending machine downstairs was also broken.

Breakfast was excellent too, except for the weak coffee dispensed via a machine.

When my wife went to fetch  cuppachino's for us the machine did not work.

but tea and coffee were not available - we were told that the machine was still being cleaned, and that this would take a further 20 minutes.

The only thing I could fault was that the coffee was from a machine and not freshly brewed.

The rooms allocated were very noisy,  with the Central Air conditioning directly outside my windows (Room 225 & 227).

The rooms in this place are a little odd - the tub/toilet/sink are in the bedroom and only divided by a curtain.

It was not overly stuffy and I was sufficiently comfortable once I opened the windows.

Unusually the bathtub was IN the room (although it could be screened off by a curtain)
We decided to eat lunch at the restaurant in the adjoining Casino.

Another receptionist then moved us late at night to a king suite, number 21, still no the one we booked,

The room we stayed in was small and the double bed mattress not to standard.

I left tired, cranky with aches and pains!

Rooms are cold with no electric blankets on the bed.

The breakfast was very good and a lot of effort was taken to cater for my allergies.

The Breakfast was great and tasty , close to good eating spots and Mall

We are a couple that prefer to pay a bit extra for comfort and are not sure if there are different quality type rooms as we were part of a group booking for a wedding.

Overall, the price paid were too high for what we experienced in the R1,600 room.

I feel my company pays a lot of money for me to stay over and it was not a pleasant stay.

If there was one thing I might have changed, it would be to have block-out blinds for the rooms facing the security spotlights which can be bothersome for those who are used to sleeping in complete darkness.

but other accomodations have no issue when running on generator.

The beds make some squicky noise , may need replacing/fixing.

Unfortunately the water was too cold (geyser apparently not warm enough or cannot handle the traffic) and we had to take cold showers late night and early morning again.

The elaborate jacuzzi Bath could also do with some salts and/or shampoo as I don’t see anyone taking a bath with just clean water!

Lots of water wasted and possibly the worst shower experienced ever at any other guest house in SA over the last 30 years.

If I were to comment on anything, I'd say that next time I would take an eye-mask to sleep with at night as the light in the passage, just outside the window, shines through the curtains.

-my bed (room no 5) is hollowed out on the right side,the bed is not up to standards i feel for a 4* place this is not acceptable, the curtains don't block out any light, the outside light was shining into my room the whole night.

The honest offerings of a clean bed, a warm bath, working plugs, and a tasty breakfast at a clean table were sobering and left me strong for a challenging day of work.

Though the room was spotlessly clean, there was a knack to using the key to the outside door, which we mastered after a few days and some frustrating minutes stuck on the doorstep..

The rooms are neatly done I would maybe just suggest that every room can have a door to the outside with seating place, with us being used to space if feels almost like a old age home with one door to the outside world.

No microwave in the rooms and also a bit disturbing when other guest come and go during nighttime because of the one door that everybody have to use.

We knocked on HouseMartins' door on 24/11/2016 at midnight after a hectic, traumatic day at the hospital.

Evening meals seemed to have been cooked earlier (perhaps at noon) and reheated in the microwave.

Please when you know that guests are coming, put cold water in the fridge there is nothing worse than drinking out of the tap, and a little jug of milkin the fridge for coffee when a guest is in the room.

but otherwise OK, Would consider a kitchen wash basin in the room, to fill the kettle and clean the mugs after drinking coffee, the signal to the TV was not good, did not watch much, but when I did it loose signal.
