They have got two electric charged for electric cars

We had to wait until morning with no electric and then after we reported it and it came on, nobody even came to check and make sure it was on.

The unit had a hot water electrical pot, which could be used to make coffee, with difficulty.

For example only one socket in an inconvenient location in  both our rooms, no kettles to make a hot drink.

There was no socket at the sideboard to plug in electrical gadgets,

However, on request next morning, we were given an electric kettle and two cups!

We asked the front desk for an electric boiler and received one without additional charge, which was wonderful--we are tea and coffee enthusiasts to say the least!

Arrangements for tea/coffee with an electric kettle and a microwave should have been there in the rooms.

Note if you leave something charging when you’re out of the room the maid will unplug it.

Shortage of electrical outlets - we basically had to charge all electronics in the bathroom (as the only other outlet was in use by the fan the entire week).

which I later thought was funny since there was only ONE outlet in the whole room along with one outlet in the bathroom.

but said powerpoint would have fan no-where near bed, so 15 minutes later an extension cord arrived.

I found it very annoying there was only one outlet in the whole room, it was very difficult to charge devices.

They do not have many outlets and are not well lit.

Kettles can be requested from reception and the only shortfall was the number of plug sockets available.

Great indoor pool , workout room and numerous other amenities.

Facilities at hotel are good with nice indoor swimming pool and hot spa
as well as massage and spa service.

we visited the ice caves, salt mine, went tobogganing, lake swimming, all within a 20 minute drive from the hotel.

Lovely location, beautiful area and good hotel facilities.

The hotel has excellent sports facilities including a large swimming pool, and a garden where one can enjoy the sun.

There is also a good workout room which a friend complimented.

We went on several hikes in the alps and swam in an alpine lake, visited Salzburg for a day, and went to the salt mines in Hallstatt (where there is also a wonderful swimming spot) and the ice caves near Werfen.

The staff is very friendly and the gym is amazing with Lee as the friendly instructor who arranges trips for skiing and biking if you are lucky.

The pool, fitness and sauna areas are great and never overly full.

The rooms are decent sized (by European standards) comfy beds and  robes, good toilettries,  nice pool, hot tub, sauna, gym, recreation areas (ping pong, pool etc).

Resort facilities were great - restaurants, pool, grounds - couldn't be happier.

And if it rains (as it does a lot) you can enjoy the pool, fitness center sauna, steam, room of this hotel like resort..  We certainly did!

Probably the most impressive and enjoyable feature of Alpenland is the SPA: it is complete with a swimming pool, jacusi (whirlpool hot tubs), a well equipped gym with both cardio and resistance machines, saunas, both wet and dry and a relaxation room.

Great hotel, wonderful staff, good food, a really nice bar, a well equipped gym and a really cool pool - and this is in the hotel.

It is always a pleasure to arrive to a great welcome.The service and facilities are consistently excellent.Alpenland is now our family tradition as we are skiing with our grandchildren for the first time this year.

The pool is ideal for families in terms of size.

The daily swim in the huge pool was a highlight with the kids given the average weather conditions during our stay.

The pool, sauna, and steam room were nice amenities, and I used them everyday during my two weeks at the resort.

The rooms need a renovation and actualised amenities.

but renovations are being done to change that.

Everything is a bit old and outdated, except the lifts.

The room decor is a little dated ( they are refurbishing the rooms a couple at a time)

i Stay at the hotel at the first week of August unfortunately the weather was very hot and the hotel doesn't have Air Condition

but had dated furnishings and needed a makeover.

Especially advice on local traffic and road conditions.

One thing they could do is some updating of rooms.

St Johann em Pougau is a postcard perfect small town with good restaurants & all extended stay necessities (e.g., groceries, apothecary).

First off, the town of St Johann is very well located for access to lots of great outdoor destinations, from Mulbach to Bischofshofen and even Bad Gastein.

St. Johann in Pongau was a lovely town with good selection of cafes, restaurants and shops. Relatively close to Salzburg (about 50 kms.)

The hotel is located in a heart of very charming town.

The small town of Sankt Johann is nice enough,

The hotel is well located within the town with easy access to the ski bus, shops and bars

The town is close to many other touristic cities such as Salzburg and Zell am See.

The town of St Johann Im Pongau has a sweet downtown for shopping.The restaurant at the resort is great and the entire staff at the resort are friendly and helpful and accommodating.

Very close to shopping, restaurants, and the lovely town.

Nice little town in the middle of ski country, convenient to the train station.

Surrounding towns and activities are easy to reach by train or bus.

It was also really handy being within steps of a SPAR supermarket and other shops and restaurants in the town.

About 8 mins walk to train station that takes you to Salzburg, Zell am See etc..
Property is right in the town centre with a big supermarket and a shopping mall next door.

For moving around within the town is consider easy and is good if you are here for ski.

It serves as an ideal basis for hikes, walks in town or excursions to interesting and historic sites and villages nearby .

And, of course, you can always go out to the nearby town center, which offers restaurants, a sports bar and a few supermarkets.

Everything in our room was hard wired into wall.

The walls are purple and there are pin-up girl posters whose models are, most likely, now grandmothers.

And it goes through the walls so you're basically sleeping in a smokey bar.

The Rooms are large and bright, and We had a great view of Wagrain and the mountains from our room on the second floor.

There is such a warm, welcoming atmosphere from the moment you arrive, and nothing is too much trouble.

Schattauer is run by the Beer family and they give it a very nice and warm atmosphere.

Outstanding kind and generous service from the staff in pleasant surroundings.

The hotel is kept in traditional Austrian style and well kept throughout.

The hospitality, personnel approach and homely atmosphere was a sheer delight.

The breakfast buffet is complete (continental style + they will make you an egg), while 5-course dinners with a choice from 3 main courses are quite elegant.

The dining room has a nice and cosy atmosphere - and children are also welcome.

Nice and very clean room, beautiful view and excellent service from the staff.

Spacious and clean rooms, for the ski-boots there is a heated room where you can leave your boots to dry, next day they are warm and dry.

All facilities are very nice and clean and the room where quet and comfort.

Parking is on site, breakfast is delicious and the rooms are clean and spacious.

Under the continued management of the Beer family the hotel retains its excellent standards: the rooms are immaculate, the staff are sincere and friendly, and the food is always tasty, varied and wonderfully flavour-some (the soups and the salads are a particular favourite).

It takes 4-5 minutes to get from the hotel to the foot of the Grafenberg mountain, where from you can take the gondola to the top of the mountain and enjoy skiing.

The hotel whilst  spotlessly clean and with superior facilities manages to make the stay not “stuffy” at all.

The facilities at the hotel are great, we used the spa (for massage and manicure - excellent) the tennis court and golf simulator, and our children loved the adventure playground in front of the hotel.

From the quality of the staff and food, to the swimming pools, gym, wellness centre, bedrooms and location of the Alpendorf gondola, less than 100 metres and Salzburg airport only a 45 minute car journey, this hotel has it all.

The spa facilities are outstanding and the staff are a pleasure to deal with.

Besides having everything in one place (restaurant, bistros, fitness, playroom, sauna and swimming pool), the hotel offers the pleasure of simplicity.

The weather was wet so it would have been a great facility.

Situated 1 minute from the main gondola, the facilities are extensive - three swimming pools; indoor, childs slide pool and infinity pool, an array of saunas and steam rooms, yoga studio, gym, indoor tennis, beauty salon, pizzeria, kids club.

The wellness area is well served by its gym and more importantly two pools - one indoor, one out.

Views, location, great food, great facilities.

We stayed in a suite with 2 bedrooms - roomy, nicely equipped.

The facilities are excellent and the staff are very professional and go the extra mile for their guests.

This time the new team and fitness programme was simply exceptional and one of the best I have experience in any hotel.

Awesome kitchen, great views and pretty much choices of sauna, nice pools with a comfy water temperature.

The hotel is beautiful from top to bottom, the infinity pool was wonderful and we also enjoyed the indoor pool (plus our children loved the slide/small pool).

The pools were great and our boys spent everyday in there, they are 8 and 12.

The hotel was lovely, the spa and infinity pool were used every day by us and we loved them.

Wonderful facilities include outdoor heated infinity pool with whirlpool overlooking the mountains.

The hotel has indoor and outdoor pools and also a water slide for the kids to enjoy.

- if you are a good skier then you will quickly cover all the slopes on the side of the mountain above the Alpina, you can ski over to the connected resorts

You change in your room for the spa and pool and everyone wanders around the hotel in robes and slippers.

Pool&Spa are is great

This was our second stay and probably the last one.

The infinity pool is one of the best in the world in terms of view. .

this is one of the best hotels , the rooms are great & clean , the view is amazing , the resturants and food are amazing .

The rooms are very clean, spacious, well equipped, cleaned and maintained perfectly.

Rooms are very clean, most comfortable and attractive ( ask for a valley view for the best views).

The playroom for the children was not well equipped and the person there did not show any intention to notice us.

This time rooms and facilities show it is getting old.

The service in the restaurant is ridiculously slow, I was under impression that they were understaffed.

though service is a little slow if you have hungry younger children with you.

At the reception they told me most of the family rooms are small and cannot fit a cot.

The only negative point was that Austria does not appear to have implemented a smoking ban, I had forgotten how awful it was to sit in a bar full of smoke.

Despite the great location near the gondel we were rather disappointed from the hotel: the "suite" (2 room appartment) was average and somewhat musty.

Staff throughout the hotel were great, particularly the reception and spa staff.

but worth it for the comfort, the spa and the location!

On my end, I can recommend the spa and the beauty services which were just perfect.

A selection of saunas and steam rooms, gym etc.

We have never seen such a variety of saunas in a similarly sized hotel.

Not someone you see in the UK even folks have lunch relaxing in robes and in and out of the spa.

Highly recommend for a drop in spa afternoon.

The playroom was significantly bigger compared to other hotels we have been to.The indoor swimming pool was comfortably warm for my son and the spa includes different types of sauna.

The spa is absolutely superb and the treatments were excellent.

But also the adults were all entertained by the beautiful nature, the swimming pool, fitness and spa facilities.

The spa area and infinity rooftop pool are perfect for relaxation after a hard day on a slopes.

Would recommend this hotel for its charm and happy friendly staff.

We arrived at the beautiful village of Wagrain, the Hotel was mainly made of wood and painted in a light fawn colour with lovely little balconies where you could gaze at stunning views.
