The room was clean with private bathroom, tv, WiFi and my own tea/coffee pot and breakfast.

Breakfast in the morning was delicious full Scottish, cereals, juice and even fresh fruit!

The breakfast was delicious, bed was comfy, room was nicely decorated and spotlessly clean.

The cooked to order breakfast the next morning was top notch, Suzanne the owner was very friendly and helpful and directed us to the local pub, The Albert Bar and recommended an Italian called Il Capo which we went to and it was scrumptious.

The breakfast was good we were giving a good choice.

Exvellent hosts great room and well awesome breakfast.

Full english/Scottish breakfast, choice of eggs etc, copious amounts of toast, cereals etc.only stayed two nights,

And my husband is still talking about the amazing breakfast she made.

At breakfast, we met Suzzane (the new owner) who was equally as friendly as John.

The bathroom is small as is the sink, the shower is good, the bed was a bit hard for my liking

It was a superb bed&breakfast with such a comfortable ensuite bedroom and great hosts.

The owner Suzanne was really helpful and made you feel really welcome and had some banter with her guests in the morning.

John is very knowledgeable about tourism in the local area and further afield The accommodation is spotless and there is a variety of food on offer for breakfast It is an excellent location for visiting Glasgow or Edinburgh

John was super helpful and pointed us to go to see the Kelpies and Falkirk Wheel, very close.

Thanks John for making what was an unfortunate reason for visiting all that more easier by being so accommodating.

The B&B is ideally located in the centre of Airdrie and just a short walk to the railway station for easy commute to Glasgow and Edinburgh.

The B&B is right in the center of several great places to visit and a 5 minute walk to the train station - which can take you to Glasgow and Edinburgh in just 10-20 minutes.

The train station is close by so plenty of opportunities for exploring.

Will be staying again soon as it is close to the train station for trips to the cities.

The B&B was near the center of town,near good restaurants and near the train station to Edinburgh and Glascow.

although we were driving, it was very close to the railway station.

Knights Rest is in a fantastic location, 5 mins to railway station in Airdrie for trains to Glasgow, Edinburgh, Scotland is waiting for you to visit.

Not far from Airdrie train station so easy to walk to if travelling by public transport.

The guest house is just a few minutes from the Airdrie town centre with its shops and eateries and the Airdrie railway station.

It is tastefully decorated and the breakfast was cooked to perfection and well presented.The accomodation was spotless and the bed very comfortable.It is situated near the railway station and the trains to Edinburgh and Glasgow are frequent.

but a short walk from the train station, which is a 20 minute ride into the centre of Glasgow.

I visited the hotel to enjoy a family event watching the football.

Attended our sons football event at this location, excellent venue and immaculate, I don't know if its been recently refurbished

We also enjoyed the party night and the three course meal was lovely with good choices and there were some party games as well as the usual dancing till 12.30.

Had our wedding here on 30th of October couldn’t thank the staff enough Gerry and Fiona were amazing meal and buffet were amazing and such a beautiful venue would 100% recommended the hotel for weddings!

I chose this hotel due to the close proximity of a friend's wedding venue.

My wife chose Castlecary as the venue for her 40th birthday party.

This Hotel has many different sized rooms and so is an ideal venue for large or small number of guests.

We are so happy that chose this venue for our wedding reception.

During the time prior to the Hogmanay event all indications proved to be in favour regarding COVID and the new variant and the event went ahead.

Preparation and planning for our event was excellent, management constantly kept in touch at a difficult time during the pandemic.

The event was handled very smoothly and  professionally by all staff and everyone was so friendly.

We have definitely found our 'go to' place for our events.

They also worked effectively with our caterers, Big Day Events,  to ensure the night ran smoothly.

This is the second year we have held our afternoon tea charity event at the hotel and this year was better than last.

I would highly recommend this venue for anyone looking to organise an event, Gerry took care of everything from the menu to the disco and was very helpful, all the staff were great too.

Lots of tribute events are on throughout the year.

People are already looking forward to next year's event.

The event was simply fantastic, with the attention to detail shown by the hotel staff, led by the General Manager, Gerry, outstanding.

Events manager Gerry organised the whole wedding day to perfection.

The staff were amazing letting us know about the deal they had on for dinner and events that were going on nearby, she took us on a small tour of the hotel and showed us where we would be eating, where the bar was and took us to our room.

The room had plenty of fresh clean towel, and on the morning of the wedding the room attendant came to our rooms to ensure we had everything we needed to allow us to get organised for the event.

We had looked at other Venues to hold this Special Day, thankfully the ladies went for this Hotel, they looked after everything, the feedback from family and friends was amazing, the Food/DJ/Room Layout/General Manager and Staff could not have done more, will definitely use this Hotel again for future Events

We stopped on a dinner bed and breakfast deal on our way to Aberdeen.

The food was exceptionally good -both breakfast and dinner on the 4 nights we were there.

although the dish was hot the actual pudding wasn't 

overall the service was excellent & most of what we had was delicious

My husband and I went and stayed overnight at the Castlecary hotel in Cumbernauld , the room we had was the Skye room it was absolutely beautiful, so tastefully decorated, the staff were so polite & helpful nothing was a bother to them & our dinner and breakfast in the Cary bar was fabulous.

My wife and I were staying in the hotel, so were able to enjoy a lovely breakfast as well.

After a very comfortable overnight stay and enjoyable breakfast we departed for home, only to be bombarded by phone calls from our guests who had a tremendously enjoyable evening, in conclusion I thank Gerry and Fiona and all the staff at Castlecary House Hotel, for an evening that everybody present enjoyed.

Rooms, evening meal and breakfast were top class.

The breakfast next morning was delicious.

Breakfast was as in all hotels at the moment during covid restrictions a little clunky.

We even managed to score breakfast in bed.

Breakfast again was amazing and again nothing was too much trouble for the staff.

The staff were so friendly and welcoming especially the breakfast staff.

They were on hand from the night before the wedding, right through to breakfast the morning after providing us with all the little things we had forgot (fan for the room etc.).

Breakfast in the cary bar was also a massive hit with ourselves & all our guests.

We stayed 2 nights, bed & breakfast and one night we enjoyed dinner one night.

Felt for her having to do the breakfast service herself.

A 3 course meal was provided.. it was delicious.

This was our first time in this place for a meal

surprised there wasn't much chicken roast or breast dishes to choose from

the garlic bread didn't taste or even smell very garlicky

the desserts we had could have been a lot better,  eg:  the warm browie could be a lot warmer so to allow the ice cream to melt on top 

the apple & blackberry crumble needs to have less apple & a lot more crumble which should be crisper & for the cook to make sure it is cooked properly as when I had it it was sticky & not cooked or hot enough either,

The room was extremely dated and smelt of many years of air freshener.

We had a very basic room which had a musky smell when we walked in.

The room we had was away from the hotel, it’s like little houses next to the hotel, everything you would expect albeit the room did have a strange smell, like it needed to aired.

We did inform the manager of the smell and did receive an apology

3rd time of trying and each stay has been worse! Disgusting!

The toast had been burned and scrapped onto the plate, 
I thought it was black pepper at first.

Brown stains on walls, stained, smelly dirty mattresses, decor similar to that of a derelict house on a sink estate, ANTS in bedrooms, dusty, dirty, stained carpets.

but quite grim to get to- down an alleyway with buckets outside for smokers. .

however the pastries and rolls were a touch on the stale side.

-Only x14 rooms are actually in the main building - All others are in 'out buildings' (which felt very unsafe)
-There is no safe to keep valuables in
-Stains on the walls and Bed
Shower was filthy and there was no Bath
-Hotel runs parallel with a motorway so was very noisy 
 
I was told that they could offer to move me

The minute we walked in the room the overpowering smell of damp hit us.

While at our table you can smell the cigarette smoke from the smokers on the other side of the wall as the side door had been left open to the point the smoke was that putrid eventually a member of staff shut the door.

Filthy carpet, hospital style bathroom, black finger prints on paintwork, lumpy mattress with crunchy waterproof mattress protector.

but ok apart from the significant amount of black mold on rubber in the corners around the tray.

The bathroom was absolutely disgusting, the blind looked like it had never been washed it was stained and looked like it had been hanging in a smokers shelter!

but was a bit shabby round the edges - bathroom mouldy and blinds not thick enough to block out the light.

The bathroom had a number of drilled holes that no-one had even bothered to grout and which could be a health and safety risk many of them being within the shower/bath area.

The matress was disgusting with bodily fluids of all description.

Gerry and staff thank you for a perfect wedding day I had the best day ever.

Our son and his new wife recently held an evening reception at the hotel a couple of weeks after their wedding.

The day itself was faultless the staff working during the wedding where fantastic.

We had our wedding here on Friday it was the most amazing day from start to finish it was ran exactly how we imagined & all our guests are all talking about what an amazing a day it was!

I attended a friend’s wedding yesterday on arrival was made very welcome,the meal was 5 star as to was the service  barmaids always available for table service happened to bump into the manager who introduced himself and asked was I enjoying myself which I thought was a nice touch keep up the good work Gerry you have a first class hotel with great staff.

My wife and myself could not have chosen a better place for our wedding.

We recently used Castlecary hotel for our daughter’s wedding.

The thing that stood out the most was how helpful and friend all of the staff were, especially those involved with the wedding.

The wedding guests raved about how amazing the canapés were while we got our photographs taken.

This did not take away from the brilliant wedding day and the most helpful staff .

My son and daughter in law had a superb wedding here yesterday.

Liam and Ryan in particular went above and beyond for us during the day and later on into the night helping us enjoy the wedding making it a day to remember.

Just celebrated my niece wedding 👰 it was amazing the Castlecary exceeded our expectations the newly refurbished Hotel & Restaurant did not disappoint we had a family meal the night before in the new restaurant which I would highly recommend food and drinks where great 
The wedding from start to finish went without a hitch nothing was to much trouble for Gerry and his Staff if you are looking for a great venue

Attended a family wedding here last month.

Due to a wedding in the main function suite we were invited into the bar for lunch.

Enclosed is a picture of our blackput curtains with the holes in the lining

but as you go upstairs to the rooms you step back to 1980, my room was so drab with a nice view of the kitchen extraction fans and when you opened the window I got a lovely waft of chip fat 🤮🤮
The bed was uncomfortable and not that clean the quilt cover was very washed out , the bed squeaked at even the slightest of movement.

Had lunch today at the castlecary , on arrival we were told there was a function on , and we were directed to the castle lounge , this is basically a large claustrophobic cupboard with no windows , 6 tables of 4 and a flat screen tv showing an operation on the lunchtime news.

Outside our bedroom window was the air conditioning for what might be the kitchen which droned on and off all night not allowing a decent sleep and the TV did not work .

The blind on the room door was frayed down the side so again no chance of the porch light being blocked out.

My only slight criticism would be the room is slightly too bright , and could
Do with dulling down a bit , maybe some blinds on the windows would help take
Away the starkness and a few candles on the table to set the atmosphere.

Extortionate price for dated room! Nice dead bird outside the window (clearly been there for days!!)

I was told very abruptly & rudely NO she had no customer service skills, also out side of our bedroom window there was a extractor fan which sounded like a plane taking off.

but starting to look a bit tired marks on walls rip on top of curtain etc but nothing that would spoil your stay breakfast was very good.

Once inside, it was dark with a window that was also the porch with net curtain.

I immediate opened the window and we left hoping the smell would dissipate while we were out.

however, with the thick hedge around the garden, and the double glazed windows, I never heard any of the traffic from inside.

but still within the check-in window, around half past 10, and approached the main reception with nobody present.

The bathroom blind for example was so dirty I coudn't bring myself to touch it to pull it down

The base of the bed was ripped and worn, the floor of the shower was cracked and chipped and the handle on the bathroom window was broken so that it could not be left open for ventilation.

We were allocated a room in the annex block separate from the main building, the room was big however desperately in need of a revamp, dent in wall which looked like a punch mark, curtains that were thread bare in places and the double bed I found ok

The upholstery on the seats under the window had wide gashes exposing dirty foam which gave the impression it had been damaged for a while.

I really hope management at the charming wee pub hotel get their act together or it could be curtains.

The bin was filthy and the curtains were discolored from being so old.

Had bought a deal for dinner B&B to go with my mum as a birthday treat.

My husband and I stayed for a night at the Garfield as we were in Stepps for a 50th Birthday Party.

Had an overnight stay at Garfield House Hotel with friends to celebrate a birthday, rooms were really nice and has the added bonus of having a seating area where we could sit and have a few drinks in the room.

I live locally and we are already planning to return next week for lunch to celebrate a family birthday.

I have been to a few functions at this hotel over the years (weddings, birthdays) and all the times I have been the staff where more than helpful, nothing was any bother to them, from checking in to checking out there were no problems.

Went for a meal with a friend for my birthday and we got a nice booth.

Party Night with family and friends for mum's birthday, brilliant night atmosphere and food great.

Had a lovely stay at this hotel which I'd chosen as a venue for my husbands 50th birthday dinner after attending a wedding here.

My brother and his fiance planned a surprise wedding under the guise of a 40th birthday party, the wedding crew were very accommodating during the planning,

My hubby and I were taken here on Saturday night by relatives for a belated 60th birthday meal for myself.

We held our daughters 30th Birthday celebration at the Garfield Hotel at the weekend and I have to say it was a fantastic experience enjoyed by all family and friends.

We are taking in a tour of the western Highlands and Islands for my 50th birthday, by me I mean me Sue my wife and our West Highland White Angus using the brilliant train pass called Spirit of Scotland.

We held our Mother's 80th birthday celebration with dinner for 24 guests and it was perfect.

Booked the Garfield Function Suite for mum's 80th Birthday.

My family arranged a surprise 50th birthday party for me last week.

You get an excellent breakfast with a wide range of choice.

We had a 3 course dinner which was delicious.

They gave us the honeymoon suite, said we could check out any time the next day and threw in breakfast for free.

Breakfast was included and was fantastic!

but had a drink at the bar and the food that we had seen being brought out looked delicious.

Wonderful holiday helped by an amazing hotel Garfield hotel best weston all staff were fantastic the breakfast is great such a choice evening meal in restaurant was amazing food served by lovely staff and a great.

Managed to get a great deal on an executive room with breakfast included.

Breakfast one of the best served to me in years.

Great breakfast at a very reasonable price

One of the few hotels which takes dogs and whats more they don't charge.

At £50 a night for bed and breakfast I would definitely recommend.

Everything about the hotel was god and real value for ones.Lovely comfortable room, excellent breakfast with the nicest waiter ever.

The toast wasn’t anaemic like a lot of hotel breakfasts.
