When the waitress came, she demanded cash or credit card on the spot.

No attempt to get them to either refund, OR to either keep the money and use it as credit for my next stay, were successful.

And is really unacceptable that Espresso and Cappuccino are only with extra charge!!!

but guests have to make their own coffee from a similar mashines you finde at a 3* hotel, but if you catch the English speaking waiter you can get a real handmade cappuccino.

It felt like we were the only guests, which was a bit weird.

She created a sale that did not exist and since it was early and few other guests.

However management should balance thr logidtics of each gunction against the vomfort of guests.

also, the waitresses at the sky lounge need to brush up on the customer service- they were incredibly rude to me and my guests- we asked for a table and were told by a lady with the biggest fake smile i've ever seen that all of the tables were reserved except for the one in the very corner in the separate room.

although it doesn't have the brand of luxury like western chains, anyone staying here will notice their attention to detail to make guests feel at home.

although some female guests may not appreciate the exotic video that plays on the numerous video screens.

Either I had a 'discount' and it should be applied automatically or I did not and the question was irrelevant and annoying in front of guests.

All expected amenities are there for guests, and then some.

There is a shopping arcade with ridiculously overpriced stores that cater to the type of clientele that the hotel seems to attract.

I just wish it was enforced that the guests left their coats before entering the restaurant.

Unfortunately common in Ukraine and Russia, where guests are not civilized.

As one other guest wrote: ". the culture and mentality issue and attitude can be bothering from time to time."

As far as I've heard, this place haven't been fully occupied since the Soccer Championships and we did not run into many other guests during our visit which is slightly worrying.

The hotel doesn't come cheap and therefore the lack of English language knowledge of many of the staff is definitely a weakness the management should address.

The hotel response was top professional – not only the issue was addressed immediately as well as at check-out, I also received a phone call from the guest manager few days after we have left.

But still hotel management should do something about

Beware of a string hanging down above the bathtub - it's an alarm system activation :) - we got a call from front desk right away inquiring if everything was Ok. Would probably recommend the hotel management to put a note there explaining what that is.

When I got to my room, the music was still loud.

It is now midnight and there are still loud construction noises coming from the lobby.

The piano player in lobby bar was so loud made it impossible to rest, think or nap in late afternoon or early evening.

(The croissant I picked up could have  been used as a blunt weapon, had the need have arisen)

At check-out, the receptionist told me out loud how much the total bill came to.

Soundproof in the room could have been better – Friday party music from the lounge bar above was well heard,

The Sauna and the pool are clean and well kept , the fitness room is clean , lot of clean towels and free mineral water .

The lobby is beautiful, the rooms are impeccable and spacious, with great views.

It was only about a foot off the ground and felt like they had thrown a sheet over the box spring and called it a bed.

My one complaint is that my bed was quite low to the ground,

but you’ll have the pay the extra $100 per night to write that review), the bathrooms were average (small like the rooms with no frills), and the beds (it didn’t matter how much you spent) were at best average (you know, low to the ground, not hard, not soft, but not perfect either….kind of Holiday Innish if you ask me).

i stayed in a studio room and my room was spotlessly clean, the bathroom & shower was good, and the actual room was well designed and functional.

The rooms were clean and smart with quality furnishings and with complimentary coffee and tea supplied.

The only things I missed were washcloths, I was told they weren't available, and had to do with only a hand and bath towel.

When housekeeping left me a “fresh” towel that smelled like an ashtray, the front desk had someone at my door with a new set of towels in about two minutes.

While I do not need new towels, I do like my towels to be at least semi-plush (you know, some softness left).

This hotel is not in a fancy area (near the airport) and i would not stay there if i was visiting kharkiv for tourism or enjoying the city, it's too far away.

Decided to have a meal before our flight home and after ordering we were told there would be an hour wait.

but they didn't let us check in and kept us waiting for nearly two hours.

Our room was standard as per reservation so we had twin beds and couldn't get king size bed.

Our stay in Reikartz was unexpected,as we booked their due the unavailability in our usual hotel ,I was little bit hesitant

I had to ask her to check with her reservations to verify that I have indeed stayed there.

The only bad side about the room was the shower as there was nowhere to hang the shower to so I had to hold it while showering which made things difficult.

My only negative was the shower in my room was cold and atleast 60% of the shower head was blocked.

You can just sleep there ..the room I get is quit small and I found some hairs in the bathroom .

but the only glasses were those the bathroom.

but are typically more traditional European styled with a low bath and a hand held shower faucet.

the breakfast room itself was rather cold and scruffy.

It was quite and comfortable and clean rooms.

Pretty nice hotel, I've got a suite, the only downside is that hotel doesn't have elevator, and suites are on top floor (4 th floor) so in this case, like mine you have to walk . any way some exercises are always good for you ;)

the downside, if you can call it that, is that there is no lift.

Smell of cigarettes in the bathroom,very old towels with stains ,no face towel ,very old uncomfortable pillows and no complimentary water .The only bonus was that you have a free sleepers in the room .I would suggest the admins do not spend money on the sleepers and provide a clean towels,,1small bottle of water and better options for breakfast.No need chicken and rice and cold pancakes  More healthy options as  oats ,cornflakes and different eggs and yogurts will be much appreciated.

I had no money, no clothes, only phone and credit card.

Friendly staff and security man, who helped us a lot during our stay when our keycard did not work (we had to replace our cards almost every 3-4 days - 4 times total) which was annoying when you walked up to the last floor just to walk back down - keep in mind that there's no elevator, could be a problem for people who need some accessibility.

No there is no elevator, ask in advance for a room on the ground floor if needed.

Hotel is located in historical building and doesn’t have elevator, so climbing to the third floor could be a downside for families with little kids or senior visitors

Cost was 210UAH, or roughly US$7.Only one tiny drawback - no elevator so be prepared to climb some stairs.

There is no elevator, so be ready to go upstairs and to sweat a little haha.

The building is 3 storeys high and there are no lifts.

NOTE: There is no elevator for special needs or handicapped.

Note: there is NO elevator, and stairs are rather steep, so elder or disabled person might better stay on ground floor.

The room is immaculate every time it is cleaned in the morning.

The room was clean and big, the bed was small and pillows were extra small and not comfortable same with towels even when i asked for big towels we got small towels.

To make the long story short: the rooms are very clean and beautiful, the breakfast food is delicious, the staff is supporting.

The room was clean, very cosy and comfortable.

Sending clothes out to be cleaned is expensive.

Perhaps the hotel should find another laundry contractor because as a hotel guest I should not be forced to pay double for what I don't want done to my clothes.

It definitely looks like the owner wants to cut costs at the guests' expense!

Except if you like the cheap and crappy style.

Prices are not so high as mentioned in other comments.

BUT - the prices are really high for Ukraine.

Rooms are clean and good space, wi-fi free in all the hotel.

Room itself was clean with comfortable bed.

This hotel is quite pleasent to stay at, room were very clean.

But what I really could have done without is the smell of chlorine which is evident in the entire hotel.

Food is cold and disgusting (we tried a lot of different thing and nothing is tasty).
