All was great  , the hotels location just perfect ,  , the service is great , rooms are clean and well kept , rich breakfast buffet with big verity of different fresh dishes.

Breakfast included in the room price was very good

Breakfast is really superb, hot dishes to order available what you want.

Stayed here for 3 nights as part of a corporate football business tour from the UK

The hotel lives up to its 5 star rating and has all the facilities you would expect from a top class hotel

Breakfast was varied and plentiful and served in a pleasant dining room.

Food at all the restaurants was excellent and priced fairly,  The morning breakfast buffet for hotel guests had a wide range of offerings.

but any case the  parking was available  for free, room clean the staff was gentle , breakfast available , maybe room was little small, but badroom big.

I could go on about the breakfast so just come and discover.

Our breakfast each morning was absolutely delicious with lots of healthy choices and beautiful atmosphere.

Near city center, great service,clean room, and no problem surviving only on English;) Breakfast was good and plenty.

Breakfast costs about 15 € and is also excellent.

Impeccable hotel - accessible to all points in the city, excellent staff, fantastic breakfast, a spa including a pool.

Breakfast is really OK and really enjoyed the fresh fruit.

I stayed B&B and I can recommend the buffet breakfast.

With a great breakfast, you get good value for your money.

Because at check out you may be charged for using mini bar even you didn't use it.

As an American Experience platinum card holder  we have stayed at some of the most prestigious places in the industry.

i wonder if the management is getting a cut from the hooker transactions since we spent more money at the lounge than all of the tables combined,

When the waitress came, she demanded cash or credit card on the spot.

No attempt to get them to either refund, OR to either keep the money and use it as credit for my next stay, were successful.

And is really unacceptable that Espresso and Cappuccino are only with extra charge!!!

but guests have to make their own coffee from a similar mashines you finde at a 3* hotel, but if you catch the English speaking waiter you can get a real handmade cappuccino.

It felt like we were the only guests, which was a bit weird.

She created a sale that did not exist and since it was early and few other guests.

However management should balance thr logidtics of each gunction against the vomfort of guests.

also, the waitresses at the sky lounge need to brush up on the customer service- they were incredibly rude to me and my guests- we asked for a table and were told by a lady with the biggest fake smile i've ever seen that all of the tables were reserved except for the one in the very corner in the separate room.

although it doesn't have the brand of luxury like western chains, anyone staying here will notice their attention to detail to make guests feel at home.

although some female guests may not appreciate the exotic video that plays on the numerous video screens.

Either I had a 'discount' and it should be applied automatically or I did not and the question was irrelevant and annoying in front of guests.

All expected amenities are there for guests, and then some.

There is a shopping arcade with ridiculously overpriced stores that cater to the type of clientele that the hotel seems to attract.

I just wish it was enforced that the guests left their coats before entering the restaurant.

Unfortunately common in Ukraine and Russia, where guests are not civilized.

As one other guest wrote: ". the culture and mentality issue and attitude can be bothering from time to time."

As far as I've heard, this place haven't been fully occupied since the Soccer Championships and we did not run into many other guests during our visit which is slightly worrying.

The hotel doesn't come cheap and therefore the lack of English language knowledge of many of the staff is definitely a weakness the management should address.

The hotel response was top professional – not only the issue was addressed immediately as well as at check-out, I also received a phone call from the guest manager few days after we have left.

But still hotel management should do something about

Beware of a string hanging down above the bathtub - it's an alarm system activation :) - we got a call from front desk right away inquiring if everything was Ok. Would probably recommend the hotel management to put a note there explaining what that is.

The management's politic during the euro 2012 was really absurd

When I got to my room, the music was still loud.

It is now midnight and there are still loud construction noises coming from the lobby.

The piano player in lobby bar was so loud made it impossible to rest, think or nap in late afternoon or early evening.

(The croissant I picked up could have  been used as a blunt weapon, had the need have arisen)

At check-out, the receptionist told me out loud how much the total bill came to.

Soundproof in the room could have been better – Friday party music from the lounge bar above was well heard,

Service in any of the on-site restaurants is excellent,

Pleasant staff and we did order room service and it was good.

The Bread pudding was good, maybe too good and I ate a lot.

I ordered room service and it was great

I recommend it to anyone looking for a nice place in Kharkiv.

Room service was  always fast and friendly.

but it doesn't matter for me because I like to eat everything)

We've been here twice before and every time they manage to surprise us with food and service quality.

There is a gym and pool on the 11th floor along with a great Sushi resturant that called the Terrace.

Both the service and food were very good.

It is very modern and the foods are perfect.I celebrated my birthday at the hotel.

Food was also brilliant, me been a vegan had no problem at all to have a delicious breakfast.

Daily cleaned rooms with lots of amenities, the rooms are spacious and there isn’t much noise from the outside.

The Sauna and the pool are clean and well kept , the fitness room is clean , lot of clean towels and free mineral water .

I reservated directly , ıts better price and upgrades premier rooms.

Rooms are comfortable, good sized, and exceptionally clean.

The room was large, the bathroom was large and very nice.

The room was spacious, very clean, modern.

Rooms are quite spacious and well organised.

The room was clean, bed is comfortable, fully equipped with all kind of utensils available, +1 for the water kettle.

I had a double room and it was fantastically clean.

There is an outstanding quality and service during your stay.

Perhaps my 30th time stay in hotel, never change the service quality is best.

The bedrooms were large and well appointed and very clean

The Sky Bar on the top floor was a favourite place to have a drink late into the evening with spectacular views over Kharkiv

The service by their staff as good or better than many of the other 5 star hotels I have previously stayed at.

Friendly staff, and their taxi service was really good also to and from airport.

The service is excellent, the hotel and all services as well.

The hotel is modern and very clean with excellent service.

It is a very nice hotel and the service is great.

Actually the great service was all over the hotel.

There is a car service frim and to the hotel.

I also enjoyed the small spa with a nice swimming pool overlooking the city.

The hotel has a top floor covered pool, warm all the time with some of the best views overlooking Shevchenko  Park (see my future reviews of this park and Gorky) plus a hydro pool, dry and steam sauna all included.

Sauna is just hot and dry as it has to be.

SPA center is on 11 flour and we loved town view from swimming pool.

Tow of my companions used the hotel spa and were very complimentary of that and the services offered as well.

the hotel is amazing very modern - it has a Steam Room Sauna and Pool.

To a person, everyone I dealt with in my 4-day stay was efficient, polite and conscientious.

However staff great as usual and I hope this hotel can maintain its usual standards.

All of the staff speak perfect English a huge plus for those like me who don’t speak Russian or just a few greetings.

The personnel of the hotel were extremely professional and helpful.

The personnel is very helpful and fluent in English (which is not always the case in Ukrainian hotels).

Every evening staff presents all guests little chocolates.

Right next to the park and view over the UNESCO world heritage listed university the situation of the hotel is excellent

Check in is very smooth and the rooms have a great view over the city.

It is very reasonably priced, extremely clean, very good breakfast buffet that was included in the price and most of all the staff were extremely friendly, helpful and couldn't do enough for us!

Out of all my different stays in Ukraine, this hotel had the most helpful and most pleasant staff, so friendly and helped will everything.

It was only about a foot off the ground and felt like they had thrown a sheet over the box spring and called it a bed.

My one complaint is that my bed was quite low to the ground,

It is served on the first floor, reachable by winding stairs from the ground floor.

but you’ll have the pay the extra $100 per night to write that review), the bathrooms were average (small like the rooms with no frills), and the beds (it didn’t matter how much you spent) were at best average (you know, low to the ground, not hard, not soft, but not perfect either….kind of Holiday Innish if you ask me).

Overall, I enjoyed my stay here, the location of the hotel is very quiet too.

It's very clean, modern and located easily within walking distance of most sites in Kharkiv.

Everything you need is close by since the is located near the center and the park.

The food is very good as is the coffee, and the location is perfect too.

The location is very central - the opera house and main square are just a short walk away, as is an ATM which is just a 2 minute walk to the right of the hotel.

The hotel is ideally located in the best part of town.

This is a lovely hotel located on a short, quiet street, walking distance to everything in the center of town.

Everything delightful, friendly staff, high cleanliness, good amenities, nice location, complete service.

Perfect location, close to nice's main Street, metro station and the loads of restaurants & night clubs.

The hotel is in a great location, with many things to do and see within walking distance.

And believe me I saw locals that came to the restaurant in this hotel for the supper!

The food was very tasty and always available.

They even put together a late night meal for me, after I came home from the office very late and did not have a chance to eat dinner.

There is also a small 24 hour lobby bar too that does a nice coffee as well as alcoholic drinks.

Many good restaurants, shops and places to explore.

The restaurant is so beautiful with some artistic decor.

They were so kind to upgrade my room and were willingly giving directions to different sightseeings and restaurants!

I also visited the restaurant several times for dinner - absolutely loved the mushroom soup in a bread bowl!

There are restaurants close by , there is a restaurant in the hotel I enjoyed there breakfast ! !

In the room I found to be standard,  just like every other hotel I have been in, it was kept clean, the large screen had only one channel dedicated to CNN in English all the other channels were in the local language.

The room and bathroom was very comfortable and very clean.

Everything was very nice:  the room very comfortable and clean.

My double room wasn't big, yet cozy and fantastically clean.

After a long 2 days of travel, it put a smile on my face that they remembered me, and gave me the same room from my first visit.

I stayed this hotel 3 nights.from 4 september,it was my first visit to this hotel.very clean rooms and amenities.very helpful staff,especially front office team.special thanks to reception Danil and Ekaterina.

My room (401) was quiet, large enough for my needs and with good facilities - I even found two TV Channels in English!

The WIFI was very strong which helped with evening meetings, room was comfortable and breakfast was good.

Service - this is something incredible!!! It’s more than just with love ❤️

This was such a lovely gesture from the staff.

The whole staff is very helpful, speaks English and is even smiling all the time.

The staff were so caring and helpful towards our little ones, a one year old and a three year old.

All in all, I continue to be impressed by Chichikov Hotel, its staff and customer service - and its great value too.

From english speaking staff to map of the city, this hotel is better than 5 star hotels I have stayed at around the world.

The staff graciously filled my thermos every morning with green tea.

The only things I missed were washcloths, I was told they weren't available, and had to do with only a hand and bath towel.

When housekeeping left me a “fresh” towel that smelled like an ashtray, the front desk had someone at my door with a new set of towels in about two minutes.

While I do not need new towels, I do like my towels to be at least semi-plush (you know, some softness left).
