The two major problems (toilet and air conditioning) could only be solved after days (without sleep) after the errors were first negated.

I wasn’t a fan of their full service restaurant Chu Da - the food was sub par and I felt paled in comparison to the buffet.

The shower is not working well, keep leaking water & the shower glass door also not working properly, half of the washroom got all wet after taking shower….asked them to repair

but the control of air conditioning was not easy.

The bed springs made loud noises, and the air conditioning and ventilation systems were very noisy. 2.

The only thing I found was that the air-con was extremely cold.

- from our room cleaning lady Khun Jetsuda, cleaning supervisor Khun Sasima, front desk and family manager - Aline, Yomi, Khun Mai, sports manager Fathi, snorkelling instructor Sid, our luck that Reno was installing the rock climbing wall and we were instructed by him, Caro from the circus team who guided me through my first trapeze at age42!

The aircon temperature doesn't seems to be able to adjust.

but clean room (least concern), poor air conditioning at main dining hall.

It only have better setup, sometimes the aircon isn't working and you are dining and sweating.

During our period of “lockdown” we had very poor TV reception, wet bathroom floors due to what appeared to be faulty air conditioning and I personally got a bad back from spending time sleeping, lying or sitting on the bed.

the floor was often wet due to poor ventilation.

but special, humidity has a hard time leaving the place because it's not so well ventilated.

but there were a few small things:

• The gym is a little under equipped and the air con isn’t great
• The tennis courts need resurfacing
• Pool table was out of service for the whole week which seemed a little odd

However, that is us being extremely picky.

The air conditioning is infusing mold & dust.

The only pieces of feedback we have is around the air conditioning was a bit average and dinner/shows could start a bit earlier for the kids to enjoy.

however we had either burning hot water or freezing cold water.

As for my husband & mine, the air conditioning wasn't cold.

It’s like a small town, our section was B unit, which was too far.

I really enjoyed it because everyone was very friendly and kind.

Great place, personnel is really friendly and motivated.

And Miguel who was with the teens club the first 2 days I was there was so friendly, had great things ready for us and always

We could all participate in a variety of activities and the staff were all wonderful, friendly, kind and welcoming!

Huge thanks to all the F&B team , led by the smily and friendly AHMED, always present, we are always nicely welcomed at the restaurant by SHERIF and AKI, the GE's are equally amazing.

Staff are very friendly except on few occasions there were few pink shirt GO standing at the restaurant entrance just chatting among themselves and there were guests waiting to be seen to their tables.

The included drinks are really poor quality cocktails etc and you're better off staying somewhere else and paying for decent ones.

although we could not go snorkelling on 2 days due to poor weather conditions.

though we met an unexpected poor weather, miss out the snookering, fire show, nite pool party.

Moreover, you understand that you have a protection of big international company even in poor, not safe and exotic countries.

The family only poor is far too small, especially during high season.

poor child she’s been there for 5 minutes.

The coffee was poor - top tip, the bar opens at 9 and makes real coffee from beans!

- The food in the restaurant is actually extremely poor - very limited offerings / options, very processed, over cooked, very very salty, extremely poor quality meat and fish.

I was in an apartment far from the Central village and the lighting to it at night was poor and went off on one occasion so I was walking in the dark.

Our child scratched his back in the pool, my Husband cut his foot and his swimsuit was broken due to poor maintenance of the Swimming pool floor (while Swimming).

The poor attitude of the service staff and managenent made it worse.

Old, outdated and poor service.Food are bad and no activities, staff are not friendly.

there's also a big screen TV (though the picture quality is quite poor), a kettle, and an iron.

26 Jun:
At 4pm, while waiting for our return flight which got delayed due to poor weather, my son had a massive diarrhoea.

To have booked something that requires you to be available very early in the morning only to have cancelled on the bus to the trip is a chaotic result of poor communication and a desperate lack of planning.

The only complaint I have is the drainage system in the shower room was not working well.

but she wanted to do mask making so she would go to the mini-club at 11am so they knew but must have forgotten.

The cons are many: the adjoining "old rooms" are really dated, no usbs, mouldy bathrooms, broken and unsafe doors, the food is ok

The water didn't flow towards the drain and collected in base and if you didn't watch out spilled out into bathroom and room.

The smell of cigarette smoke every time we opened or closed our room door was off-putting.

For what we guests pay , it’s disappointing and disgusting to say the least.

but there is no drainage there, resulting in water pooling and the foot towels located there to be extremely wet after a few showers.

There were so many children around and no staff told him to not smoke.

The not so positives (improvements)
 - Club med Phuket has organised a designated smoking areas which is a huge improvement from last time

2 ideas that could perhaps be taken into consideration as feedback:

1- The seating area by the pool should be segmented to smoking and non smoking.

My mum’s & sister’s connecting rooms smell moldy.

I mean having a smoking bin right outside the buffet?

Also, when I called for Housekeeping (as my son had soiled himself) they were very slow in responding.

There is no barrier between the salads / fruits / desserts etc and people, so people are breathing their germs all over the food about to be eaten by others.

If we ever have to say something negative, we hope the rooms can be upgraded as the rooms are rather aged, and do smell a little mouldy.

Due to the humidity of Thailand, the bedding was a little damp the first night

Room was musky -smelling, old and ill-lit.

Lousy food and terrible room condition, got smell when we first step in.

Some points to highlight:-

All in all the staff is what makes this place magical.

but the quality and abundance of activities, staff energy, food choices - we had a great time and will be back again.

Vincent, the village chief, leads the team with flair, lots of energy and attention.

Really nice facilities with the recent upgrade and the beach was fantastic, clean, calm, welcoming right at your doorstep.

Out of all the Club Med, we have been to so far, we thought the circus and costume design of this team was the best.

He is an amazing guy who is kind with entertainment mindset.

Vincent is the engine driving that team and the staff have so much energy it’s exhausting lol.

Zen always kept safety in check, was very organized, and was very encouraging and helpful we enjoyed the sessions so much so that we had to go for one last session of archery before we departed the village!

I would particularly like to highlight the very friendly staff at this hotel.

They are an extremely industrious young team, well-trained, friendly, helpful, vigilant and ever-willing to reach out to the needs of the multi-national guests.

The staff here were particularly friendly and helpful and got to know us after a few days.

And Kaew at the breakfast buffet reception was energetic and friendly.

The staff were friendly and helpful and the resort pools were spacious and beautiful to swim in.

Staff is friendly, courteous,and eager to help.

Friendly and helpful staff, particularly Tee, Top, Karla and (although she's not, I think, Pullman employee) May at the travel desk.

This showed poor planning, not following per hotel email confirmation where they will be waiting, and no proper visual signage that they are from Pullman Panwa since there are other Pullman properties in Phuket.

The food was the same every day in the Aqua restaurant if you did not like pasta or pizza the options were limited the food was of poor quality no flavor in the fruit.

but my rating is because of v poor service.

Waited 45mins for a bath robe after having called reception 3 times to find out what happened to the bath robe..
Dinner selection is poor at the buffet and staff do not speak English.

Overall the customer service and communication throughout our stay at the hotel was extremely poor, with every interaction with the hotel staff a challenge leaving us extremely frustrated.

We actually cancelled our Christmas dinner due to the poor service and food quality provided throughout our stay.

soundproofing was poor: we could hear all sort of noises from the corridor annd from the exterior (live music at loud volumen is played at the lobby bar till 11 pm, which was a bit disturbing).

At this point I went ballistic on the front desk for the situation and the absurdly poor response.

Dinner service was poor the food luke warm and flavorless.

Pool filled with debris from the palm trees above, bad breakfast, hygiene issues, heaps of wildlife, a sea that would always be low tide; brown black sand scattered across the hotel, poor management and badly mannered staff concluded our stay at the Pullman Panwa Beach as unfortunately, extremely poor, over-priced accommodation acting as a 5 star hotel in Phuket.

but l’m quite disappointed with my main the chicken looked dry and the fries looked sad, overall food presentation was poor.

However it is let down by some generally poor management that left me wondering how it managed to receive a 5 star rating.

The Wifi is poor (at best), and just switches off VERY regularly.

Absolutely nothing to do if poor weather.

The wi-fi in my first room was really poor, the connection kept going on and off which was really annoying.

- during the happy hour at the main pool, you don't have a big variaty for drinks, poor.

Tamarind Thai restaurant was shut for renovation, we were not told about that.

Unfortunately, the Tamarind restaurant (serving mainly Thai cuisines) was closed for renovation up to the second half of November.

Room:
The room was in average condition, and the bed felt a bit small.

The rooms were in need of a little updating

Stayed at the Pullman Resort in Panwa Phuket for 14 days a total disaster
the resort is in need of a major update, The issues we experienced were
many here is just a few examples.

The resort is lovely, some parts could do with a little updating

Sadly our room felt shabby and in need of refurbishment.

Your property needs an upgrade and renovation.

This place is in need of some refurbishment after the Covid hiatus.

In fact, I think they took the opportunity to do some light refurbishments to prepare for the post Pandemic travel and it has paid off.

The resort has a 'tired' feel to it and needs a refurbishment.

Despite its remodeling, it felt more “old” than “new” to me
	Odd room layout – again materially different from the website.

however the decor was in need of some updating.

only down side is the air condition is very very noisy , I only can turn off the bedroom, only turn on the bathroom one.

The bathroom needs to be updated very old.

but they need a good renovation as you can see where tiles have fallen off and never been replaced.

however feel that this is a little bit old hotel and should have had a renovation near in the future 
- Spa is ok, little bit pricey.

I saw a few spots that need some renovation only, e.g.

Renovation Noise:
During our stay, there was a room renovation next door, and we could occasionally smell the paint thinner in the late morning.

Our shower wouldn’t drain, fixed in ten minutes!

We stayed in the 1100's rooms which are located on the first floor and every time you leave the room you can smell sewage.. not the best thing to smell first thing in the morning.

The outdoor seating at the buffet station also had some bird poop on so I’d suggest anyone inclined to be seated there to be careful.

but it would be better for us if hotel could ban smoking in the building.

Before venturing into the water at high tide or walking onto the sand at low tide, you need to be aware of the debris that is on the far left side of the beach, behind some bushes (photos below) that presumably comes in on the tide.

After move to second room, 3 hours in bloody sweat because the air-con not working and again need to move as I was very sick then I end up need to sit on the wheelchair and move to the new room third time.

There are a few downers about the place because you’re off the beaten track here taxis are expensive to get around if you want to go to other areas like old town for eg. Most areas in the hotel could be cleaned better as we noticed many times tables not cleared or wiped down, beach towels still on sun beds even very late into the evening, glassware used as ashtrays ( I dread to think that this is tipped out and cleaned then reused ! )

but not the least - the best smelling towels I have used till now :)

I dread to think of how much smoking goes on when it's busy! Pee-eew!

A mixture of sewage and seafood describes the smell well.

There’s a layer of sunscreen scum floating in the corners of the pool entryways that didn’t get skimmed off the whole time we were there. Gross.

The only thing that bothered me was no designated area for smoking so it was hard to choose where to sit at the pool.

A 5 star luxury hotel definitely would not include this disgusting behaviour.

In-room drainage system is not available.

but worst you do see pipes of sewage from what I observed to be drainage from watering plants [I hope].

The towels by the pool were old, bleach marked and fraying, for a five star hotel a better standard is expected.

however these aren't clearly marked and so you don't really know if you are seated in the smoking section.

Perfect resort for my family, staff was awesome.

The staff smiles at you at every step, always helpful.

The staff were exceptional and it would be incomplete not to mention the two most outstanding staff who made are experience memorable,  Pookie who with a warm and radiant smile made us feel at home, helped craft our dishes to suit our needs always with warmth and the ever industrious Nat whom we turned to whenever we had challenges and made sure he follows through till the issues were resolved to our satisfaction.

and of course to ensure the employees will be kept busy during their stay.

The staff are so good and great hospitality.

The front desk staff provided thorough introductions.

Breakfasts with the help of Kaew and her team were one of the many highligts of our stay at Pullman Panwa Beach.

To top the experience, each and every staff member were very accommodating and nice to us; specially the front desk staff members JB and MJ were really well spoken and treated us well with our requirements.

So far I found it nice, very accommodating the massage was great l, swimming pool was clean and we'll manage, the food was delicious and unique and the staffs are friendly.

The staff are all very friendly and helpful, especially Jasper, who is very very patience and helped us with a luggage issue.

The experience is wonderful in Amatara hotel, the view is amazing from the room, the staff are helpful and friendly, the breakfast has a good variety.

As I never gave him my phone number, I believe he looked through the file I have with the hotel to get my number.

I then developed swollen and itchy skins so bad that the hotel had to call a nurse (she’s nice and is the only good part during our stay).

When ordering room service they tell you on the phone it will take 45 minutes and they're not kidding.

but we had problems with phone, shower, safe, telephone, cleanliness, TV, it was one thing after another and although attempts to put things right didn't seem to to register on managements behalf that they shouldn't have been issues in the first place.

Well, I wouldn't  actually call them staff, that sounds too administrative.
