Special  thanks to the reception team, those on the main door / gate and the breakfast / pool bar team, particularly Tim who  was very attentive and made our lazy days by the pool a real pleasure.

So far I found it nice, very accommodating the massage was great l, swimming pool was clean and we'll manage, the food was delicious and unique and the staffs are friendly.

Very accommodating, the foods delicious, the massage was excellent, the has a panoramic view.

The food in Senses Scene and Siri Restuarant is very delicious.

The breakfast is amazing a lot of options.

They served a lot of options of breakfast.

The experience is wonderful in Amatara hotel, the view is amazing from the room, the staff are helpful and friendly, the breakfast has a good variety.

Special thanks to Mr. Sun, who seviced beach and breakfast, Ms. Oil from senses restaurant and Dr. Hashana for the excellent consultation, trainings, advice and coaching as part of the yoga program.

Great service, very good breakfast, top pool bar with happy hour and a beautiful hotel complex with a large infinity pool characterize this hotel.

The breakfast was delightful, and I particularly enjoyed the masman curry lamb leg.

The restaurants are delicious and have a wonderful view of the sea.

Restaurant:
For breakfast you get a good selection of typical Thai food, soup, salad, different variations of eggs, fruits, continental style and of course sweets.

The food at Senses restaurant was amazing: who knew healthy eating could taste so good.

Went with the breakfast included and while as a vegan I would’ve liked a few more options, I always found something to eat.

He even went to the extra mile to provide us with complimentary breakfast for the next two days and a romantic dinner at their restaurant.

Everything was so well curated from the healthy cuisine to the variety of treatments and wellness experiences including a cooking class and multiple fitness sessions.

* Rooms: minor issue with shower pressure weak, red power lights emanating from the tv and telephones at night and the power plugs at the room’s desk being tight spots to plug in 

* Gym: spacious enough for a quick work out.

They call themselves 'Wellness' resort. .yet.

As I never gave him my phone number, I believe he looked through the file I have with the hotel to get my number.

I then developed swollen and itchy skins so bad that the hotel had to call a nurse (she’s nice and is the only good part during our stay).

When ordering room service they tell you on the phone it will take 45 minutes and they're not kidding.

but we had problems with phone, shower, safe, telephone, cleanliness, TV, it was one thing after another and although attempts to put things right didn't seem to to register on managements behalf that they shouldn't have been issues in the first place.

Well, I wouldn't  actually call them staff, that sounds too administrative.

They told me they would investigate and call us back in 10 minutes, then never returned our call. 3.

King sized beds or what we call a superking in uk (180-200 cm) and comfy pillows alongside blackout blinds make for a nice sleep
My only complaint and one that stops me giving it 5* is the food is crap.

I did not call the hotel staff to come find it - and I never saw it again after it disappeared somewhere in the ceiling planks.

however we got a call at 12 noon that our late check out is not available. Ridiculous!!

I would suggest adding a speaker so we can connect our phone to play music.

Stayed here for 7 nights, on our last night have to call for service as lights in d room wouldn’t turned off.

but nothing works well in the rooms .. toilets not flushing,  water pressure not great either, hot water does not come on, operator not picking up phones on timely basis .. this is all in the first few hours.

A small tip, you can get a screen mirror app on playstore and watch Netflix or YouTube through your phone or even look at the photos you've taken.

but they rang him anyway , so he came into work with his uniform on to say goodbye , now that to us is sheer dedication to his clients.

As the resort is huge, buggy can be arranged just by a phone call and it takes u everywhere u want inside resort.

In all of our years eating out we have never used our iPhone to generate table music as the place was dead.

It was a buffet-style breakfast, and guests could choose their own seating.

The people are nice, breakfast ist good and the beach ist besutiful.

Breakfasts with the help of Kaew and her team were one of the many highligts of our stay at Pullman Panwa Beach.

The breakfast is amazing dont think I've ever seen so much choice.

The food was outstandingly presented and scrumptious!

Didnt try the buffet and the spa so i need to come back for that

Nice breakfast buffet with international cuisine.Pool is big and good for all ages.

We woke up early as we were on Australian time, and the breakfast was served from 6 to 1030ish.

The breakfast team led by Kaew were incredible.

Breakfast quality was very good and Aqua Restaurant Staff (Kaew, Kate, Best, Ann and Sai) were very energetic to take a very good care of us.

THE BREAKFAST WAS VERY TASTY, AND MORE DELICIOUS WITH YOUR GOOD SERVICE, KATE AND GOLF MADE IT VERY HAPPY TO EAT BREAKFAST.

Have to mention Fern, the young Thai lady who  is so welcoming at breakfast as well as the guys at the pool and boat hire.

Dinner was in the same restaurant, every night there was a themed buffet night.

The result is a wonderfully arranged buffet that, for every themed evening, be it Japanese, Italian, Spanish, Mexican, and more, captures the taste authentically and at the highest level.

All of the theme buffet were great, among which Indian buffet was our favourite.

This showed poor planning, not following per hotel email confirmation where they will be waiting, and no proper visual signage that they are from Pullman Panwa since there are other Pullman properties in Phuket.

The food was the same every day in the Aqua restaurant if you did not like pasta or pizza the options were limited the food was of poor quality no flavor in the fruit.

but my rating is because of v poor service.

Waited 45mins for a bath robe after having called reception 3 times to find out what happened to the bath robe..
Dinner selection is poor at the buffet and staff do not speak English.

Overall the customer service and communication throughout our stay at the hotel was extremely poor, with every interaction with the hotel staff a challenge leaving us extremely frustrated.

We actually cancelled our Christmas dinner due to the poor service and food quality provided throughout our stay.

soundproofing was poor: we could hear all sort of noises from the corridor annd from the exterior (live music at loud volumen is played at the lobby bar till 11 pm, which was a bit disturbing).

At this point I went ballistic on the front desk for the situation and the absurdly poor response.

Dinner service was poor the food luke warm and flavorless.

Pool filled with debris from the palm trees above, bad breakfast, hygiene issues, heaps of wildlife, a sea that would always be low tide; brown black sand scattered across the hotel, poor management and badly mannered staff concluded our stay at the Pullman Panwa Beach as unfortunately, extremely poor, over-priced accommodation acting as a 5 star hotel in Phuket.

but l’m quite disappointed with my main the chicken looked dry and the fries looked sad, overall food presentation was poor.

However it is let down by some generally poor management that left me wondering how it managed to receive a 5 star rating.

The Wifi is poor (at best), and just switches off VERY regularly.

Absolutely nothing to do if poor weather.

The wi-fi in my first room was really poor, the connection kept going on and off which was really annoying.

- during the happy hour at the main pool, you don't have a big variaty for drinks, poor.

Tamarind Thai restaurant was shut for renovation, we were not told about that.

Unfortunately, the Tamarind restaurant (serving mainly Thai cuisines) was closed for renovation up to the second half of November.

Room:
The room was in average condition, and the bed felt a bit small.

The rooms were in need of a little updating

Stayed at the Pullman Resort in Panwa Phuket for 14 days a total disaster
the resort is in need of a major update, The issues we experienced were
many here is just a few examples.

The resort is lovely, some parts could do with a little updating

Sadly our room felt shabby and in need of refurbishment.

Your property needs an upgrade and renovation.

This place is in need of some refurbishment after the Covid hiatus.

In fact, I think they took the opportunity to do some light refurbishments to prepare for the post Pandemic travel and it has paid off.

The resort has a 'tired' feel to it and needs a refurbishment.

Despite its remodeling, it felt more “old” than “new” to me
	Odd room layout – again materially different from the website.

however the decor was in need of some updating.

only down side is the air condition is very very noisy , I only can turn off the bedroom, only turn on the bathroom one.

The bathroom needs to be updated very old.

but they need a good renovation as you can see where tiles have fallen off and never been replaced.

however feel that this is a little bit old hotel and should have had a renovation near in the future 
- Spa is ok, little bit pricey.

I saw a few spots that need some renovation only, e.g.

Renovation Noise:
During our stay, there was a room renovation next door, and we could occasionally smell the paint thinner in the late morning.

Our shower wouldn’t drain, fixed in ten minutes!

We stayed in the 1100's rooms which are located on the first floor and every time you leave the room you can smell sewage.. not the best thing to smell first thing in the morning.

The outdoor seating at the buffet station also had some bird poop on so I’d suggest anyone inclined to be seated there to be careful.

but it would be better for us if hotel could ban smoking in the building.

Before venturing into the water at high tide or walking onto the sand at low tide, you need to be aware of the debris that is on the far left side of the beach, behind some bushes (photos below) that presumably comes in on the tide.

After move to second room, 3 hours in bloody sweat because the air-con not working and again need to move as I was very sick then I end up need to sit on the wheelchair and move to the new room third time.

There are a few downers about the place because you’re off the beaten track here taxis are expensive to get around if you want to go to other areas like old town for eg. Most areas in the hotel could be cleaned better as we noticed many times tables not cleared or wiped down, beach towels still on sun beds even very late into the evening, glassware used as ashtrays ( I dread to think that this is tipped out and cleaned then reused ! )

but not the least - the best smelling towels I have used till now :)

I dread to think of how much smoking goes on when it's busy! Pee-eew!

A mixture of sewage and seafood describes the smell well.

There’s a layer of sunscreen scum floating in the corners of the pool entryways that didn’t get skimmed off the whole time we were there. Gross.

The only thing that bothered me was no designated area for smoking so it was hard to choose where to sit at the pool.

A 5 star luxury hotel definitely would not include this disgusting behaviour.

In-room drainage system is not available.

but worst you do see pipes of sewage from what I observed to be drainage from watering plants [I hope].

The towels by the pool were old, bleach marked and fraying, for a five star hotel a better standard is expected.

however these aren't clearly marked and so you don't really know if you are seated in the smoking section.

There are several restaurants available for breakfast, so you will never be bored with food when staying for consecutive nights.

even though they were not in the breakfast buffet.

We eat in Latest Recipe for breakfast each morning & the food is excellent with so much choice, they have everything covered.

They lent us an Apple TV when we couldn’t stream handphone on their TV.

Delicious food in all the restaurants and for breakfast.

We still keep going back, there are breakfast options which are also good.

And the breakfast buffet appeared to rotate so a lot of dishes were different each day.

Breakfast dishes  especially Indian was tasty and great!!

There are a number of restaurants onsite, and the food was delicious!

The food is top notch, especially the buffet breakfast where the fruits are fresh, the pastries are flakey and there is an excellent interpretation on international cuisine respectfully on offer.

While we were there everything went really well, the hotel itself is quite nice, clean and the swimming pool, breakfast, the beach views and overall vibe is fantastic.

Chef joshi really took care with the indian breakfast options.

The breakfast was included and had tons of options.

Absolutely amazing vibes..clean room,nice breakfast easy transportation and private beach .. love the vibes good food drinks clean pools.

Breakfast was served for all guests in 2 restaurants.

I had a super time the beach was fantastic, the food was delicious, the hospitality superb, mr Joshi was very helpful.

The breakfast selection seemed wide and very adequate,

but this information was not conveyed to the receptionist and I was charged 100,000 baht when I checked out despite restaurant reservation desk took a note of that.

Unfortunately, a broken edge of glass table issue arose, leading to a $130 charge.

It’s 2023, is there not a better system than a piece of card?

I reviewed my card statements and the payments (both) went through, which meant i was double charged.

Bolt accepts cards so we didn’t have the hassle of paying cash.

Phuket taxis charge a minimum 200 thb to go anywhere (seems to be an agreement between them all) and really adds up,

but the only thing was that hotel charges us 90 THB for Soda from Mini-Bar which we never used or had.

They don't give out towel cards like they used to, so you just grab what you need.

Eventually it was delivered after another 40 minutes; the positive thing was that we were told it will be free of charge due to the delay.

Pls bring universal power adapters/USB for charging devices.

However considering its location which is a bit away from night mkt area, for a 5* hotel I would expect the hotel to have a free shuttle (once a day would suffice) to Patong especially when there is nothing around to do so I am quite disappointed that for this level of hotel (min 250eur per night) that they miss out on this point and prefer to over charge their shuttle service (4x day) at 180 bath one way per person which is quite expensive.

I called front desk to listen to the noise, she said she would inform manager in charge immediately.

He, along with the rest of the staff here are a credit to the resort and we contacted the resort direct to tell them this and to pass on our comment.

But weird thing is that they charge for the tennis court per person.

They wanted to charge 5 nights upfront for my booking, then made me go through hell canceling a booking then while two kids were crying.

To keep this property under the Marriott portfolio is an offense to the Bonvoy card holders .

Taxi: 
They have a hotel taxi where you can charge to your room or if you are able to get a local taxi or VIP Taxi (often cheaper than the hotel taxis) they will often give you their contact info and you can call them and schedule rides on your own instead of using the hotel based cars.

The website had said that we would have a 1000 baht credit to spend,

They tried to charge us for items in the room and mini bar that were not there in the first place, and she argued with me that I was wrong.

The hotel's handling of this matter during our departure, while we were rushing for the airport, left an unpleasant impact on our overall experience. Additionally, inquiring about extending one room for an extra four hours on the last day proved challenging, as the hotel provided inconsistent and seemingly arbitrary price quotes, creating confusion."

For example: you can scan (most people in Thailand use their phones as an account management tool) to pay a bill,

Cost of a taxi from here to Krabi was quoted at 5000 THB!

Just be ready to pay top dollar for food.

The transport company that the hotel uses charges the same rates as the private taxis and tuk tuks.

however, the manager was really rude in the restaurant (never seen that before in any Marriott envoy hotels and not that we did not pay for our breakfast during the stay including children).

Transport in Phuket is expensive, so it can cost a lot of money just to go out and eat.

He made us pay 90 THB despite our insistence.

but I think this place is too overvalued for the price.

You can find better rates in Patong than the hotel.

Negatives - The Building smells from water damage (smells wet), no 24 hour room service, buffet breakfast was average in comparison to other Marriott Bon Voy hotels, we paid a lot of money for a suite and the fabrics on the couches are dirty, beds are quite hard.

Because my sun sleeped on the couch with linnen they said I have to pay a much higher amount.

but when the manager got involved he decided to rip us off by saying that the rate had suddenly changed.

This hotel is not five star at all 

It’s run down and restaurants are very overpriced

There are many better options in Phuket

We spent 8 days and we’re told there were 8 restaurants

I would not recommend this place unless they charge like a 2/3 star hotel rate:

As we had wrongly booked a two single bed instead of king bed room, we asked the hotel if they had a king size bed where we could change to, and were willing to pay for it.

Building work throughout in open areas and some rooms had showers over baths that you could not stand up in.

Often had to ask for water, towels , even toilet paper!

Our room stopped working and they managed to sort out.Then fast forward 27th July 2023 a different manager on duty and the A/C stopped working so they changed our room.So we moved room and my kids went to enjoy the pool ,Upon returning they had a bath and while with there mum in the shower the water stopped this was around 6pm.

Odour- the room had a stale smell and the toilet smelt of sewage

You have to ask for toilet paper every time we needed.

We did not like that on the way to our hotel room the vents from the kitchen produced a very nauseating smell and bathroom due to having no shower door got really messy very quickly.

I would have thought the rooms would have 2 toilets

Other thing is that the hotel is so tired looking the pool is missing all the grout from each of the 3 pools fairly dangerous for children.

One other thing - our bathroom had no shower curtain and it was necessary to clamber over the high bathtub rim to take a shower.

Cons: the bathroom and bedroom was divided by glass - mostly frosted,

As a few other people have mentioned maintenance does leave a bit to be desired and the tiles in the pools are jagged in some places where the grout has come away.

- there is a window between bathroom and living area and if the lights are on in the bathroom a person sitting on the bed can easily see what is going on in the bathroom and lavatory (!).

The room was good (albeit there was a see through window from the bed where guests in the bathroom/on the toilet could be seen) housekeeping hit and miss.

Poolside restaurant served delicious halal chicken with complimentary drinks.

We had very good memories in this beautiful hotel where we stayed for 8 days :)
The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean, the breakfast buffet is rich.

Pancakes where rotated with French toast.

Breakfast has a huge variety (Bacon, Eggs, Sausages, Pancakes, Danish, Breads, Croissants, Cereals, Salads, Thai Dishes, Juices, Yoghurts. .)

Helped us to make our kids having her own breakfast easily.

It was the first time we had half board which provided all meals the buffet breakfast has good choice hot food cooked perfectly.

Loved this hotel- great location, breakfast, room, staff we had left an unsuitable hotel and were greatly relieved to find this relatively quiet hotel where most people were relaxing and enjoying sand and sea and sunsets .

The thai food served here and western foods are really delicious.

Food was so delicious,  presented  so good, fancy, and just cooked perfectly  well!

Laundry is very cheap, for 20 pieces you pay 700 or 800 (vs other hotels that's great) 

Food: Good breakfast with plenty options, restaurant is good as well and prices seem fair.

Breakfast was served in the Horizon restaurant, very good selection of food and an egg bar where you could get freshly made fried or scrambled eggs, omelets, pancakes etc.
