but we chose a twin bed room which seemed to be bigger.

The room was so small that the, equally small, bed just could be squeezed in.

The room is ridiculously small, a full bed with little padding (you can feel the springs) and only one pillow, would only be suitable to a single person with a small frame and a small suitcase.

A Standard Double is actually a single bed by western standards, and the room is so small that one must sit on the bed for another to pass by to get to the bathroom or door.

I have never ever stayed in such a small room for 2 people with small double bed and even smallest, prefabricated bathroom.

I'm turning into a fan of APA Hotel's beds.

The suitcases had to be moved around the room depending on whether we wanted to get to the bathroom or to the bed.

It felt more like a super single bed so might be a bit too tight for 2 persons to sleep in.

however extremely small for 2 people for 2 nights with very hard pillows and a comfy bed and some could not get their cases open within the space.

I don't know why they bother putting a chair in front of the desk as there isn't enough room to pull it out and the bed is almost under the desk anyway.

One of us had to stay on the bed if the other one stood up to move.

The bed is tiny small for two person and too soft.

In twin rooms, one person has to open their luggage in the space between the two beds, and the other person has to open by the main door.

They are a joke actually, I mean desk is almost touching the bed.

although the pillow was very thin and hard.

but certain areas can be improved such as the ledge on the headboard and also the area just underneath the television.

There's a slim walkway into your room the bed and desk is like 85% of the room.

I feel sorry for the staff that have to work in this environment throughout the day, breathing in second hand smoke.

However, the room was small as other mention and we feel like stay in a sauna instead a room.

As soon as you get to the floor you feel the age of the place, the black & grey carpeting, the gold trims on the doors, all a bit tacky.

Even sitting on the toilet feels like sitting on the toilet of lock up room.

I strongly feel you should not stay here.

it has very great location near Kanazawa Sta, and right next to Lawson store.

I would definitely stay further away from the station, closer to the sights next time.

Firstly, the train station and subway stations are just adjacent.

This hotel is located right next to the Kanazawa JR station with at least 2-3 shopping malls within 5 mins walk.

The bus interchange is right in front of the station with 2 main bus routes looping vice versa around all the various tourist sites.

Location is good next to the station and it has a wonderful outdoor onsen so o used that instead of the bathroom.

The station is practically 5 minutes away or less, my favorite Yoshinoya is right in the station, and one can take the loop bus from the terminal just outside the station and head off to all places of interest!

The airport shuttle at the bus terminal is just a minute's walk away - a good thing especially when you are in a hurry to catch the bus.

If you're doing a group tour as we did to Shirakawa-go and Gokayama, then the bus stop is again less than a 2 min walk away.

You walk through the 100Bangai Department store, and past a few Japanese bistros to get there(150m or so).

The double room had such little space that there was insufficient space to have two large suitcases in the room and be able to walk beside the bed.

AEON shopping complex is a short walk to the hotel.

The location of this hotel was perfect for our stay in Kanzawa, everything was about a 15-20 minute walk away.

No control about the AC in the room, it was to hot and when we opened the window there was so many noise from the trains .

We also cannot open the window as it was permanently locked.

Luckily, we can open the window to let the cold air comes in to regulate the temperature.

i hate heater therefore i open the window, which brings some fresh air in.

The room only had a very small window which was high up, so no chance of natural light.

As a permanent resident of Japan I have never been asked to provide my PR card upon check in.

I was expecting a postal package to be delivered to the hotel containing the ETC card from car rental company.

We kindly asked if it was possible to be put closer together and were told a clear NO until it was then possible against a 3600¥ surcharge for stupid reasons that booking was done with an Annex room which is the name of the other building for them !

(That day, it charged me for 2 days parking cost Yen 2,000 .

We booked our reservation with car parking and were then charged an extra 20000 yen per day only to have someone else park in our spot.

I think this a good place to stay because of its location.

Great location from the Train Station, very, very close to some superb restaurants, adequate space in the room, friendly staff despite the low cost - All in all I'd be looking in future at other MYSTAYS hotels for the larger, more expensive cities, especially in the Mid to High seasons - BOOK EARLY!

The hotel was located near the train station and also in walking distance (at least for us) from the Kenrokuen garden.

The first room we were given had a blood stain on the duvet so we requested a change of room to which they promptly did.

Love their pillows and bed, the room also clean and well equipped.

On a recent stay during a period of warm weather, the rooms were sweltering meaning I had to chose between an intolerably hot room and sleeping with the window open, listening to the noise of the building site next door.

We had the heating switched off and the window open most of the time because the hotel was too warm for sleeping.

Room was clean and comfortable, we didn't have any food there so can't comment on that.

Room was clean, staff efficient, and the forth floor has a small library, gym, and laundry (free with 3 dryers, 3 toploaders).

Similar to most of our experience with chain hotels in Japan - the staffs friendly and helpful, the room clean and the shower works.

Biggest room during our travels in Japan & by far the least expensive (snagged a deal for US $ 75.00 a night for a superior twin room) - rooms are clean & modern with comfortable beds/pillow - the bathtub/shower have great water pressure & plenty of hot water - bath salts were provided.
