Only negatives: 
The pool was unheated and too cold for swimming in October.

Mix of hot and cold breakfast with a Greek twist.

but there was plenty selection from cold meat to full English and American respectively.

If you go during the beginning of May it does get cold at night

Breakfast is served in the lower ground floor of the hotel, and whilst there was a wide range of hot and cold food available, we just had to go for the views.

but very cold, a little heating would have been nice as it is October so the water doesn’t get chance to warm up.

Beware the water is cold and the ladders leading to the pool need to be secured much better.

Pity that both the main pool and the private pool are not temperature  controlled so no one actually used them for a swim at this time of The year when it was still cold.

although we couldn't use it much because of rain and cold water.

We called and asked if it could be hotter and they said the max temperature it can reach was about 30° C (about 86° F), which is way too cold for a hot tub.

but it was so so cold and I struggled to lift myself up the side to get out!

but also so cold that is sometimes unusable also in August, this is not what happened at Astro palace), the room plenty of space, distributed on 2 floors, the bed was comfortable with attention to details.

though was that the shower goes cold to scolding hot constantly.

but was still nice during the day (it was too cold to swim at night when we went, but probably better in mid to late summer).

but we had to call and get it “fixed”/“opened.” The water was extremely cold and was a little disappointing we couldn’t enjoy it.

Think a couple extra little touches would have made it a 5 star rating such as heated private pools (I went in October and it was too cold to use which was a bit disappointing) and a better shower/ bigger bath.

but my friends who had jacuzzis said they were cold and couldn't use them, which would have been very annoying had I paid for a room with one.

All of the staff are super friendly and can’t do enough to help you.

The hotel has 45 rooms and never felt busy

From the moment we arrived we were treated like family, the staff here are so friendly, helpful & accommodating and will go out of their way to assist with any requests you might have.

Each and every member of the staff are warm, welcoming, friendly and go above and beyond to accommodate all your needs.

Most of the stuff which came was pretty poor and and at best the cooked elements and tea/coffee tepid at best.

The hotel did nothing to warrant a poor review and I am certainly not trying to leave one.

Wifi in the room was also poor and there was only one English speaking tv channel.

The a/c was very poor and our toilet constantly ran.

There was no room for sun loungers beside the poor, not that you would sit there anyway as it was so windy.

The selection of fruit was poor also, no fresh fruit apart from melon.

- Very poor breakfast for a five stars standards - scrambled eggs, a lot of fried dishes, very ordinary cheese, no fresh fruit, just plain coffee (no coffee machine for cappuccino, caffe late etc).

Great hotel,

The food selection and quality is poor especially breakfast , the breakfast is the same every day (we came here for 6 nights) and the food is cold .

The breakftast has very low quality and the service was very poor.

The general appearance of the hotel is a bit old-fashioned, with kitch curtains in the lobby and poor furnished rooms.

Limited food choice with the same menu available for lunch and dinner, only one bar (the pool bar) which closed at 11pm on the dot every night regardless of how many people were there, poor bedding, not so great housekeeping, spa mainly used for storing things which we found out when my daughter and I had pedicures at 35 Euro each for 30 minutes - I could go on and on

The breakfast was poor in selection and quality.

Firstly it was expensive for what we thought was no more than a 4 star hotel at best, way too far from Fira to walk, when other reviews say 100 meters then they must be talking about a different hotel, the menu was very poor to say the least and absolutely set with no movement.

Breakfast very poor and should be improved.

Special mention to Katerina, Ahmed, Hope  on front desk.

Particularly the reception staff who could not be helpful and wonderful.

As soon as we arrived, we were warmly greeted and provided with recommendations of what to do/where to eat in Santorini.

Lastly, I would like to mention the incredible staff.

but the food was amazing I’d say anyone going to Greece needs to experience Astro Palace hospitality, from the front desk to room service was an experience me and my family would never forget and we’ll definitely visit again.

I had such an amazing experience the staff were phenomenal and very tentative the room was beautiful and room service made sure it stayed that way.

We were greeted by Caterina who was fabulous and helped us multiple times during our trip.

Can't say enough about Hope and Katerina and the rest of the staff  (sorry can't recall their names)

Fantastic resort, warm and friendly staff, wonderful concierge Maria, terrific front desk staff Anna, very helpful HK team and wonderful F&B.

Very friendly reception staff and we were given an information sheet about the hotel which was handy.

Most important thing for us was the amazing friendly staff especially the bar and restaurant staff who were so professional and never stopped and still continued to be so friendly.

She was very friendly and funny which made us feel welcome.

The staff are very friendly and the bar is an excellent setting.

The staff are very friendly and very keen to help irrespective of the nature of the query  we are staying in a superior room, which is very spacious and nicely decorated.

All the staff are friendly and polite , hotel is spotless and location excellent to visit other villages , the port , the cable care Firastefani and Oia - amazing food in all the restaurants we visited - recommend Remvi for sunset view - will definitely go back as it’s a beautiful picture perfect island

All in all I would say the El Greco resort is more like a poor three star hotel, it’s probably great for the international guest who are only staying two nights whilst they island hope

The quality of the breakfast is poor, bordering on awful.

The buffet breakfast had a poor selection..

however the beds are only double and very hard the pillows are even worse very poor quality nice big shower in the room.

Finally, room servicing was poor as I had a glass of water on my first night that continued to sit there not replaced or cleaned all the way until the last night.

To me I think this is really disappointing as clearly this is poor organisation from the hotel as they’d not even tried to put any guests who were arriving later on that day in our room nor did they offer us the use of another room for the rest of the day.

but then you have to deal with poor service (you can't even make a phone call from your room), the location out of town that forces you to walk under the sun a lot, and a terrible breakfast in the morning.

The only negative point for us in Fira was the poor donkeys going up and down the 500 odd steps that takes you up the cliff side from the port.

The only negative we would say is about the food, breakfast was a poor standard with eggs bacon etc just so over cooked.

Being from Melbourne Australia don’t even get me started about the poor excuse for coffee at breakfast - only one choice & from a machine -some sort of coloured water.

Room amenities are poor with no coffee and tea or even tissues available.the air conditioner in our room was old and noisey.

but one of the managers gave us a poor first impression.

The orange juice and coffee were very poor quality and for most of our holiday we didn't bother at all with the breakfast.

Usual breakfast items, awful coffee, poor choice of tea, milk always had ran out.

There are tours available for purchase at the Concierge and Maria is amazing !!

So clean, all staff were lovely, food was great.

All the staff we came across were fantastic and the whole place is kept very clean.

The concierge Maria was so helpful and kind so shoutout to her!

We had one interaction with a front desk person who was very snarky.

Staff at breakfast generally very pleasant and helpful.

Special mention to Maria who went above and beyond for us, helping us arrange our transfer to the airport as we were struggling due to the language barrier on the phone.

The staff at the hotel were always polite and helpful.

On a positive note the Staff in the main restaurant are great, really good and attentive.

She is a great asset for your organization.

But the absolute best thing about this hotel without any doubt is the fantastic staff.

5  At check out, I did not receive a copy of my invoice which was odd to me.

Ps: the breakfast is incredible, we did not test the restaurant or room service card preferring the typical restaurants of Santorini .

When trying to get a refund of my booking deposit, my credit card company claimed they never received the refund and refused to issue the credit.

Objectively, not a good balance for what you pay.

It would be helpful if they had key card entries as a convince to the guests like every luxury hotel we've ever stayed at.

Andronis did eventually honour the discount with a credit,

We also requested taxis several time from our hotel, and because there are limited amounts on the island and taxis couldnt be called, the hotel would use there car to drive us to our location (charging us the price of the taxi).

When we arrived at the hotel, Nadia apologized for the snafu and told us that we would not be charged for the service AND that the hotel would take us back to the ferry at no charge.

Only one thing would have been nice is that in the amount you pay to the hotel, visually it would be great if the hotel arranged transport to and from the airport port instead of charging an extra fee for it.

Breakfast was delivered to our room every morning at no charge and set up on the table outside.

It was a beautiful property with luxurious and big rooms built in the typical Santorini architectural style, in a nutshell: white washed walls, grey glossy cement and blue doors and windows along with breathtaking views, from any part of the hotel, of the entire city of Oia, The staff was extremely warm and they accommodated our request for date changes very graciously, even when the website that we booked through raised their hands and told us we will be charged double for changes.

You pay for 4-5 wines/bottles to sample and are charged for every bottle,

With so many more places to see in the world it is such a credit to Andronis that we say "to heck with it - lest go back to Oia!".

The service is incredible,particularly as there is no room service charge, yet you never want to leave the room, so they have to bring food up and down lots of stairs all day and all night.

Besides Elsa (not that you need any other reason to come to Andronis), there was Oliver who was in charge of their food and beverage area.

My husband and I have stayed at some wonderful small resorts, and Andronis is definitely leading the charge in terms of service and overall hospitality.

The staff was amazing, kind and friendly.

but at the rates being asked, you need to be flawless.

We had the multi course dinner that albeit was a bit overpriced,

A few of the items at the minibar are competitively priced while others are overpriced,

Its very unique to other hotels elsewhere in the world,but I am not too sure how different the experience would be to other similar priced hotels in Oia- there are quite a few of them really close by - all with similar reviews to this one.

but Andronis had actually paid for the cake.

From reservations at any restaurant in Oia, to the regulation of the temperature in the jaccuzzi, to late check out without additional costs, everything is possible with them and they take care of it immediately.

The staff is nice in occasions and in others really rude, they don’t realize the price you are paying.

however, the costs are “mostly justified” by the luxury you get in return.

Fabulous location, Staff was very attentive and on point.

The only really negative feedback I have about the hotel was the bathroom being very small.

Just to small point of improvement: bathrooms are very small, when staying with more than 2 people in a room.

Honestly, nothing I'd experienced would stop me from recommending this hotel or returning myself.

but our bathroom was tiny, that was our only criticism of this hotel.

We bearly had room to skirt around the bed area in the bedroom and the bathroom was so small only one person could enter it at any one time.

but the bathroom is way too small for a hotel of this standard.

Only one negative remark, our bathroom was too small for a junior suite with 4 people.
