With a comedy of travel stories that day including Lost Baggage from the airline we arrived at Hotel Tagoo and instantly were greeted by George (bar), George (Breakfast) and George (reception) - all of who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was seamless.

George at the bar provided a top class service and made us feel very welcome.

George the bar man very friendly and great fun and a great  asset to the hotel.

The pool and bar are the hub of the hotel and are extremely well kept & relaxing.

The best sunsets I've seen while sipping a cocktail either at the pool bar or on a sunbed.

There is a fully stocked pool bar/restaurant which is open every day until late.

We had such a fun time talking with other guests at the SPECTACULAR pool and bar.

The staff here is incredible and genuinely welcoming (especially the 3 George's) and you cannot beat the views from the pool / bar at sunset.

We spent a lot time at the hotel which has a sunset to die for,  which the fancy bars charge for.

They have a bar right at the pool, and have their own menu for food choices.

Although the hotel is only 10 minutes walk from the bars in little Venice we much preferred watching the sunset at the hotel away from the madness in town.

Lastly, our favourite who made us feel special was the guy who worked at the bar, George.

This year they had an expanded light bar menu, the food is delicious.

Great bar, super snacks available at the bar (very reasonably priced), rooms very clean and nicely appointed.

Breakfast is included and the pool bar good.

Bathrooms are updated and beautiful, the pool is sparkling clean and the restaurant/bar is perfect!

Cleanliness: our room was spotless, and serviced x2 per day!

A nice sized hotel (-20 rooms), great views throughout the hotel and clean, comfortable rooms.

The breakfast was lovely, the room was clean and comfortable, and the facilities were as you can see on the pictures.

Rooms are very comfortable, and meet all your basic needs, and looks like the hotel was recently totally refreshed as everything was spotlessly clean.

This hotel is amazing, spent a week here this summer, the service is excellent, George the Bartender is an absolute gem and made our trip a lot more fun..the rooms are clean, and location is great.

Definitely not worth it for 150 euros per day

Pros: the pool has amazing view
Cons: the breakfast is really simple, not fruit, no fresh orange juice, bad coffee
                 Not sea view room, and quite small
                 Long walk to the town, and to the bus station

And for those reviewers who mentioned a lack of "fresh-squeezed" orange juice?

You don't come here to drink coffee, orange juice, or sit in your room. .

however on this occasion i really felt the need to express my opinion regarding the "orange juice" point of view.

I have just read the previous comment about not getting FRESH orange juice.

why is it that in every hotel that i have ever stayed in greece (save for some 5 star ones in athens that i have stayed in for work) never serves orange juice

Also, the orange juice is not juice as such,

Other recommendations for sunset would be Blu Blu restaurant.

He made the most fantastic signature cocktails which were delicious.

Great choice, suitable for everyone, cereal, pastries, fruit, small selection of hot food, great start to the day.

A short walk into Mykonos where there are some excellent restaurants and lots of boutiques and shops, easy to get lost at night.

The food we ate was all delicious and tastily prepared by the chef.

You reach Mykonos Town with all the restaurant and bars in approximately 10 minutes walking distance, and there is car parking available in the street at the hotel, if necessary.

Food was excellent and always presented in a lovely way.

Special shout out to George (the OG - brilliant asset to your hotel, so helpful and caring), George (daytime - never without a smile on his face) , Bill (I think he got a good workout (and laugh) from carrying our food, George in reception, Clara and the cleaning staff.

The drinks were so tasty, even the virgin mojitos.

Just 10 minute walk to Little Venice, and many, many restaurants to otherwise choose from.

Great cocktails too and great prices for mykonos.

but we were greeted with a smile and a cocktail from the lovely George.

They included a tasty breakfast each morning as well.

They make the most delicious Greek dishes and any cocktails you’re in the mood for.

Do keep in mind that on any given day massive cruise ships are parked front and center and between the ship announcements and road noise on the road below it can be quite noisy at night.

We took a taxi back to the hotel for 5€ as the road is narrow and dark.

Be warned though, it's an uphill walk back from Mykonos Town and takes about 10-15min, and the road could be a bit dangerous sometimes when careless drivers drive by at full speed.

The hotel is about 7 minute walk down a hill into town – stick to the left side of the road when walking down, oncoming cars and bikes are more likely to see you and you can move if required.

The hotel is located a little bit out of the pedestrianized area of Mykonos Town (~10 minute walk) and while it is on the "main road" there isn't that much traffic and it was high enough up that we didn't hear any noise from the road.

Longish walk into town and dark road with no pavements.

(How he manages to keep his composure coordinating all the arrivals and departures from three different locations, particularly during the peak season heavy traffic on the island's narrow, busy roads, is beyond me!)

However, what made me very upset was i was allowed "special priviledge" to park my scooter outside my room rather than 200 metres up the road in the designated car park.

but we decided against this as the roads can be dangerous but Anna helped by recommending things to do nearby.

There are thousands of them on the roads, and I am not sure how many riders had ridden two wheels before!

but the road is narrow and you must be careful of traffic.

From the hotel, it is about a 15 minute down hill walk into Mykonos Town on quite a busy, small road (but would emphasize this was August and it would probably be quiet out of season).

but the road is a bit narrow and on an incline (on the way back, of course).

But, the road into town really isn’t that steep, and it’s not a hill – it’s an incline, and it doesn’t last long before it tapers off.

The only downfall is the walk to and from the town along the narrow road, we were there at a quiet time it was a bit dangerous, can imagine it would be worse in peak time.

The road to town is downhill - so it is not too bad.

The only thing to be concerned about is the walk into town because of the narrow roads.

However the walk is not onerous, its short and all one needs to do is take some care on the road, much as one does at home.

The roads were originially intended as donkey tracks and so there are no pathways/sidewalks that we would be accustomed to in London or America.

The rooms are clean and comfortable and have a very fancy shower arrangement !

If you want reasonably priced and clean rooms, great service and pool with amazing views look no further!

The view of the sea is breathtaking, the rooms are immaculate and very much a boutique hotel style.

Our rooms were very clean, air con worked brilliantly and all in all the hotel was a great place to return to ( despite the uphill walk) after a day out in Mykonos Town.

For the price of the hotel, we found it to be a very average one, and definitely not a four star resort experience.

Breakfast was very average, can tell the products are cheap.

The breakfast was average , similar to most other places in greece.

As far as our room goes, I think we had a quite average room.

The pool area and pool bar was wonderful for chilling and relaxing in the sun.

The breakfast staff would teach us a new word everyday in Greek, and we chose to spend our nights at the Sunset Bar before headed out.

The breakfasts and pool bar services were excellent.

Bar staff fab, cocktails delightful and food is lovely too!

Absolutely perfect location for relaxing away from lively bars in town.

Each of the pool bars served exquisite food..this was not a typical ‘pool snack bar’ menu..see my photos..the shrimp tacos were to die for.

Must mention Mario and George in Sunset wing bar - those guys are fun, professional and make the best Zombie cocktails ever.

Panos, his front desk team, the breakfast staff, the pool bar staff, the cleaners, the security guard - everyone was so welcoming!!

A special mention to Manuel, who works at the daylight pool bar.

The bar served good food and drinks and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.

Every pool has a bar serving great food and drinks.

We had lovely cocktails at the bar in the evening and the staff work so hard to make sure you have everything you need!

From there the bar man at the pool handled anything from our safe box code reset to our luggage.

Everyone was really friendly we visited 180 sunset bar (definitely recommended for a romantic evening) and they arranged a free taxi getting there and coming back, obviously we tipped the driver.

Next to the hotel is a nice local restaurant local bar and mini mart and bakery with a few local amenities locally

Things not to miss: lazy days by the pool, breakfast, club sandwich, sunset bar, Panos' cocktails and funny stories, the ride into town and great food at restaurant Kuzen.

The location was fantastic and very close walk to Mykonos town and surrounding restaurants are easy to walk to and there is a bus service right outside, that you can catch to visit some of the amazing beaches.

Bus also available opposite hotel to various beaches.

Breakfast was great, there were always plenty of Sunbeds, the sunset view is gorgeous, and the complimentary hessian bags with beach towels to use during your stay are a lovely touch.

We enjoyed our stay very much, To make things better, Aeolos is near some very nice restaurants and a short drive (or bus journey) from the beach clubs.

but we have learnt you can do it various ways, quiet beach’s as well as the party ones, going into town, shopping, cocktails and watching the sunset or just simply relaxing at the hotel.

We would definitely go back:) On a side note, their beach bags are amazing! !

Nothing is too much trouble, whether it be creating cocktails or navigating the bus timetables to the beach to providing an umbrella for a day trip out.

All rooms are bright, clean, and offer towels for the pool or beach, and you can use any of the facilities no matter where you stay on the property.

They accommodate any request you have, from the moment they pick you up at the airport with the free shuttle to lifts to town (often free) and beaches.

The famous island has many options that make difficult to choose; beaches or town for example.

We rented a car which the hotel sourced for us and I would recommend doing this if planning on visiting beaches.

The hotel also provided you with your very own beach bag with beach towels, which was so useful, and we could even take the bag home with us at the end of our stay!

The room came with a beach bag to use during your stay, which I loved and used!

Nice property about 30 minutes hike from little Venice.

We took local buses to paradise beach, sant anna beach club and platis gialos beach, they are a very good and cheap way of getting around.

Aside from the amazing location, looking over the bay the resort’s USP is the tremendous hospitality by the owner and the staff.

Reception is extremely helpful in providing information on the island and can help you with almost any activity you want to do - restaurants, bars, quad bikes, transport, beaches, boat trips etc.

They provide you with very helpful information about beaches, different activities or restaurants.

They are really polite and helpful, they suggested us which are the best beaches to find in mykonos and which to avoid due to the strong wind.

We ate lunch most days at the hotel, the food was surprisingly good (I usually find hotel food to be quite poor).

however was poor in our room (8) which was disappointing.

*Wifi is poor in the bedrooms, and not great on the reception.

The only downside to our holiday was that the hotel was in a poor location and to get to the habour with bars/restaurants you had to walk 10-15 mins down a very steep travel down to the port (even worse coming back up after a night out ) and this is 4 guys in thier mid twenties.

From the food, to the people, to the room, to the cocktails and the service.

Breakfasts are amazing with a huge range of food to choose from amd the meals from the Koozen restaurant for brunch and dinner are superb.

There is a large choice at breakfast and most days we ate lunch by the side of the pool and each time we tried something different on the menu it tasted great.

Went to the Koozen restaurant for our last night, best food we had by far in Mykonos- it’s a must for anyone staying at Aeolos !

Small grocery store and amazing bakery next to resort - other restaurants also.

We had bed and breakfast and the restaurant is gorgeous with a delicious breakfast daily.

And dinner - portions are huge and you must try Mussels rissotto, it's excellent.

The food is amazing --> please have dinner there, you won't regret it!!

Cleanliness is perfect the pool area is beautiful and we really enjoyed the meals we ate on the terrace.

but you can go there walking, all the amenities needed next to the resort (market, pharmacy, restaurant, and more)
Room: well-maintained room and very clean (whatever you need, just ask and in less than 5 minutes it's in your hands)
Restaurant: Tasty and not expensive (generous portions), it's a perfect balance.

Three pools, great food, and the staff he has was over the top!

We ate here and I can absolutely recommend the crispy potatoes and would recommend being cheeky and asking for the truffle mayo with them as it's a game changer.

Whilst we didn’t have breakfast at the hotel, we did have lunch on a couple of occasions and the food was also delicious.

We stayed at the sunset wing- very clean rooms, stunning views and a saxo player on and evening when the sun sets.

Beautiful, clean rooms, large comfy bed, great breakfast selection, lovely pools, wonderful calm and relaxed ambiance.

The rooms are kept very clean daily and everywhere around the hotel is well maintained.

And the rooms are very clean, and quite spacious.

The rooms are clean and modern and the showers had plenty of hot water.

We were told the hotels policy in the current situation which again made us feel very safe, our room was spotless and again very reassuring.

The Aeolos resort, on arrival, we were upgraded to the sunset wing, amazing views of the sunset each evening, and a beautiful, bright, clean room and swimming pool on our room doorstep.

The rooms were so clean and made you feel so comfortable.

Aeolos also has all of the facilities you could want; good WiFi, a pool and hot tub, the rooms were clean and fresh and had everything you’d need.

The Hotel is well located with a own Beach.

It is also very well located, with walking distance to Nammos, the most famous beach club and close to the others (Scorpios, Kalua, Tropicana, Paradise),

Excellent ocean view, nice location near one of the best beaches in Mykonos, huge and delicious breakfast, friendly staff ,  every single moment was perfect.

Within a few hours Inna had us moved into a more suitable room for a family with no stress and worry, she arranged all our transfers to beach clubs and dinners for us for the whole trip and even arranged late check out for us without me even needing to ask as she knew it would be needed with a toddler.

I must say, having a private beach was one of my favorite aspects of the hotel.

Petasos Mykonos succeed to make the WOW effect and this is why:

Petasos hotel is well-placed for visiting the better beaches of Mykonos such as Platis Yialos and Psarou Beach as the property is a 2-minute walk from these beaches.

Recommend having dinner at one of the restaurants at the beach- gorgeous at night.

The only sand for the beach is on the flat rock area where the sunbeds are and the water is not very accessible as all the yachts tie there big boats up in the area.

We arrived Saturday lunchtime, unpacked and went to relax at the private beach.

Private beach was our highlight and the lifeguard, Fridriki, was absolutely amazing.

9mins to the airport, less than 10mins to the old town and a short walk to Nammos and the beach.

We stayed as a family in July 2021, having stayed in Mykonos last summer we knew the location we wanted, and the hotel is perfectly positioned for resturants and beaches.

Breakfast had good variety and to be fair, amazing views over the bay!

Miriamthi and Victoria just to name a few looking after us each day with a genuine kindness all day every day, the food the cocktails the service, everything is just world class.

The view from the restaurant is breathtaking.

Right next to the swimming pool are the bar and restaurant; creative fusion gastronomy.

From the front desk, to the restaurant, to the spa, pool, etc.

Staff were all great from the front desk to the pool, the restaurants and the beach.

An excellent hotel, the location was great, the staff were friendly and helpful ( specialy Inna in the front desk ) , she arranged us transportation, entering to some parties and reservation to restaurants!

The buffet breakfast was a wonderful feast,
Very elegant and chic place to stay right close to all the action of Mykonos Town without being in the middle of it.I highly recommend getting a cocktail by the pool!

The pool area bar had great cocktails and the breakfast was a very large selection of choices.

Stay here for the view and for walking to great restaurants.

If you eat at Petasos - be sure to try their split pea dip they give you with bread and the meatballs!!

Pros :
Location - perfectly located in Plaits Gialos, bus stop 5 seconds from the lobby, restaurants and bars in minutes of walking distance, amazing view from the pool area.

One of the best restaurants we found, Thea, was actually a 2mins walk down the hill and had amazing views and food

The room was clean, big , and the mattress was super comfortable!

The rooms are very clean, we found fresh towels  and made bed 3 time a day, so what more could we asked for.

The rooms were clean and comfortable and many, such as ours, had balconies.

The rooms are immaculate, the staff are very helpful, the food is great.
