Had all the usual amenities including unlimited bottles of water.

A large size by most comparisons, with King bed, good clean bathroom with plenty of towels, bottled water and accessories, some for sale.

Bottled water is provided for free, along with an important reminder not to drink the tap water.

There were two bottled water available daily and we liked having a safe in the room to keep our valuables rather than in the hotel safe.

but one can put together an adequate breakfast.

The most surprising aspect of my stay was the breakfast buffet.

Pro:rooms are comfortable, staffs are very friendly, and the buffet breakfast is satisfactory.

I found breakfast to be plentiful and tasty.

The rooms were clean, the service was great, and the continental breakfast fabulous.

Pan Tower is a comfortable, clean  and safe place to stay.

The room itself is clean stuffed with a good amount of toiletries supply.

We got a room on the 23rd floor and the room was clean and had one of those electric panels to turn on lights in the different rooms.

We stayed on business  there in January 2016 and we were there during the coldest streak of weather in 100 years, it actually snowed.

They were clean and had comfy beds and the AC was great.

Our rooms were large, well appointed, clean and everything worked with plenty of electrical outlets.

Our deluxe room on 28th floor was large and clean.

I warmly suggest to book the room at the business flor, as much more comfortable and clean, with a reasonable price delta from normal room.

-The front desk staff can speak good English; 
-the rooms are big and clean with a very nice view on the river (we were at 20/F).

Mostly eastern delights, with hot and cold dishes and a selection of bread and fruit.

We were not fully prepared for this weather and traveling locally was miserable cold and wet.

The room was cold and there was no heat only a/c which the bellboy turned off when I told him room was very cold,

Surprisingly, cold, windy weather does not dictate that the lobby doors be closed, so those of you that enjoy fresh air, no matter the temperature, will be quite pleased, especially since there is NO HEAT in any of the common areas of the hotel.

When we went back to the hotel room it had very little to no heat, blankets were only source of comfort beside a warm shower.

Porters await at the main entry, a massive foyer complete with huge chandeliers greet you.

There is a western/international hotel off the lobby and a Chinese buffet restaurant on the 2nd floor.

The staff at the lobby and check-in counter were very welcoming and knowledgeable, speaking multiple Chinese dialects as well as English.

When I arrived I was taken aback by the elegance and vastness of the hotel lobby.

The Western restaurant in the lobby was surprisingly better.

The hotel itself is nice and clean with a large lobby and generally helpful staff.

I noted they added at least four or five new shops on lobby level and the restaurant was remodeled inside.

Thanks to a terrible lunch at the lobby restaurant, i managed to get food poisioning whilst staying at this hotel.

The lobby is quite large with a piano in the center and marble floors.

Hosted by a friend for a 2 night stay, this hotel meets international standards.

A member of my party bought a hat and a jacket from the boutique.

The housekeeping staff were accommodating and helpful as our party had uneven numbers and needed a rollaway bed and additional amenities.

The Chinese restaurant in the hotel is also excellent.

but the thing about Chinese breakfast buffet's in hotels is, they don't keep the food hot enough, it is luke warm at best.

The chef on the morning of my stay did an amazing job of making a tasty soup broth.

It is a nice place to meet with friends as it is not overly crowded in the restaurant.

However, it is not that far from restaurants and the one amazing, excellent shopping center nearby.

It was easy to order using the English language menu on their iPad.

Are st dinner buffet one night - again leaned towards Asian tastes

but the hotel has recreation rooms and good-sized restaurants for dinner.

The food  at the hotel wasn't really good,

A great place to gather for sim sum lunch.

I liked how they would make chicken/beef/pork fresh for you on the grill.

I'm sure with the right weather and maybe a meal outside of hotel you can survive.

There were many good local restaurants within a 10 minutes walk of the hotel.

The in-hotel restaurant is nice and serves traditional Chinese dishes.

The hotel is very large and has a few different restaurants in it.

Our stay didn't start on a positive note, when upon arrival we decided to have lunch in the hotel restaurant, as we arrived after the lunchtime rush, I did notice that there were a lot of napkins on the floor,

We upgraded to a suite with a separate living room.

The rooms are large and the layout very decent.

Paid a very reasonable rate for a suite and I was very pleasantly surprised by the good size and modern room.

The room offered terrific views down the peninsula and rivers.

The furniture and room design were functional

Every room enjoys a beautiful river view and you can see the sunrise from your room in the morning.

Room was a good size with 2 toilets, 2 TVs, personal router (strong wifi), a safe and the bed was a big enough size.

But you can request to change to another room , they will gladly change it for you if other non smoking room is available.

Always ask to see a room before getting one if you can.

The Upgraded rooms or western rooms had mattress

The newer room on 25th floor has softer bed is definitely a plus.

The hotel rooms were so aged, it looks exactly like the ones I stayed in back in 1987 when I 1st visited China.

However, I would insist for a non-smoking floor to ensure a room of no smoking smell.

Between that and our basic Chinese, we checked into a non-smoking room without any problem.

Floor and room did not smell of stale smoke thankfully - if you've stayed in Chinese hotels before you'll know this is often the case even on supposed non smoking floors.

The rooms while clean, still wreaked of cigarette smoke which is strange because I'm on a non smoking floor.

One draw back is if you don't request for a non smoking room, the smell of the cigarette in the room is not pleasant.

Many bathrooms in China are built without using U-pipes in their plumbing causing the stinky smell coming back in to the room.

The sign non smoking seems to be optional.

This hotel do not have non-smoking rooms.

Unfortunately, after I few minutes I noticed again that still there was no heat emanating from the vent.

I especially liked the non smoking floor - not that common in China!

Most staff was very friendly and aimed to pleased.

Loads of staff, always looking for something to be doing.

Replete with a long driveway approach lined with world flags and a baggage porter awaiting your arrival.

Most staff can speak English and they all try their best answering your questions and give you recommendations.

Hotel staff were all friendly and spoke adequate English.

We called the main desk and someone came up to try and help us.

Wait staff looked lost on how to help western guest.

but the standout one was their char sui (bbq pork).

The front desk was very helpful in finding a driver with mini-bus to take our group of 10 plus an interpreter to the village.

Only a few receptionists were able to help you in English.

Breakfast is very simple , nothing great .

We enjoyed delicious hidden restaurants, shared amazing cultural stories, and he even helped us discover our family's 800 year old Chinese village (which we found!

The price at $47 USD was great, along with a daily breakfast which was adequate for Asian taste.

I stayed two nights in a standard room with a queen bed that came with two breakfast tickets each day.

Each menu offers several set options for you to choose; everything was quite delicious.

You have a choice of either western or chinese breakfast, each one served in a different restaurant.

Options of Chinese or Western breakfast are available.

My friend got me a company rate of 200 RMB a night including a breakfast buffet.

The breakfast buffet consisted mainly of Chinese items such as corn on the cob and sweet potato.

Also don't expect to use your counties credit cards shopping they do not carry western facilities, Oh did i forget to mention of counterfit money!

They tried using the DISCOVER card several times.

The decor is a bit old fashioned and tired,

but the restaurant sign that has giant Chinese characters against a black color background.

"Western style breakfasts" are a local interpretation of Hong Kong style breakfast.

And just like many hotels in China, the more people who use the elevator means the more chances of people smoking inside the elevators.

Mostly young people in the town goes there to be exposed to western music and western culture, There are 4 elevators on the hotel side so if one  is suspicious of something, use some common sense!

Some other reviewers have mentioned that there is a club that shares the same elevator as the hotel.

This is located in a building that is shared with an entertainment complex, as well as restaurants, so it can get a bit rowdy if you share an elevator with drunken men.

Good and convenient Location: Easily accessible by public transportation from two main Bus stations, and Chikan Town.

The Wilson Hotel is in a great location in Kaiping.

located at the center of the Kaiping city.

The bed was stiff as cardboard (which I later found out is standard in China - so no complaints there), the location was very convenient to the busy street markets and night life of Kaiping.

It’s located  by the Guest Registration area.

I was pleased with my stay, and if I ever do find myself in this part of China again, I would not mind staying here again given that the location is central, rooms are clean, and there was nothing negative about my stay.

Wilson Hotel is in a great location, surrounded by lots of shops and restaurants, and connected to a huge mall that houses a movie theater, club, supermarket and even a KFC. Because the hotel is actually connected to the mall, sometimes you'll see clubgoers (and escorts?)

Great place, good service, good location very close to shopping and many good places to eat.

I was told by locals we picked a good location.

Location : centrally located, less than 5 minutes of taxi from central bus station.

Located right in the middle of downtown Kaiping.

The hotel is situated on a quiet street in a busy and vibrant area with many restaurants and shopping (attached to a mall next door).

but in the same building there's a KFC (very good)
IMPORTANT is the internet connection, runs well because in China whit the European SIM the connection is not so fast.

There are numerous small shops, restaurants and coffee houses around the hotel.

the hotel is connected to a big shopping mall with western restaurants, shops, a huge supermarket and even a cinema.

Kaiping is a very safe city, with some great food and really cool historical sites.

The hotel is right at the heart of Kaiping and is surrounded by shops and restaurants.

Visitors may access to restaurants and a shopping mall on the 4th floor.

I believe they have dinner and bar service into the night as well.

but there are tons of restaurants all within ten minutes of the hotel.

There's restaurants and stuff on first few floors.

The rooms were very large and it was apparent that they had recently been refurbished and renovated.

I think that is the best solution in Kaiping ( better than Pan Tower not for room or service

I like this hotel is because its adjoining with supermarket  and surrounding is shopping area and 5 minuts walk to ( Up Down 9 - Night Street Market ) 

Room wise is nice and big , Everything still maintain it very good , 1 thing can be consider by the management is change a new carpet in the room .

The bus terminal in Guangzhou was easy to navigate (with a little help) and the busses are inexpensive, modern, clean, with plenty of leg room.

but the rooms are big and comfortable with free wifi.

Floors 2, 3, 4 is occupied by a sauna, massage, night club.The hotel rooms actually starts on Floor # 5, 6, 7 which is great.

The rooms and bathrooms were certainly clean and well maintained

My room was modern, simple, earthtones (King bed), and big.

Nothing special about the rooms, they are a good size, clean and the beds are a bit hard

The lifts are shared with the shopping center, meaning the hotel floors are accessible by everyone.

There is a shopping mall just in a few steps. 2.

There is a "shopping street" and large supermarket that can be accessed without even levaing the hotel.

If you are inside the shopping complex, you can go through any of the connecting walkways back into the hotel side.

This hotel surrounds with lots of restaurants and a shopping mall which has crowds of shoppers.

but convenient in terms of shopping, dining and exploring the street scenes.

The Hotel is part of a shopping center anchored by a very modern Vanguard Supermarket (comparable to a Target store in the US) which I didn't expect there.

You're minutes away from the walking paths alongside the river  and from other shopping areas.

but had a strong smell of cigarette/ paint, we had to open the windows for some time to try to get rid of the smell.

The room is full of smell of cigarette. 2.

I changed room the second day and decreased the smell by 80% which made it tolerable.
