Resort room is great, service attitude is excellent, hot spring spoil us, Chu-Chu train in the lobby is a surprising & great idea and breakfast definitely is the best in town.

If I stayed here for any more time, I would gain so much weight from eating at the buffet and sitting in the hot spring.

The hotel will replensih bottled water at no charge - they want you to keep hydrated.

The staff set the key card for 1 night only, so we unable got in on the 2 nd days.

This kind of service is not compatible with how much they are charging.

This is also included for all guests without extra charge.

but really dry fish - Consistency is needed for the prices they are charging per night.

Hotel provides plenty facilities (usually free) and activities (some needs extra charge) so shouldn't be bored during the stay.

Thanks to American Express Taiwan and Hotel Royal Chiao Hsi, so that we could double enjoyed our stay as the second night was compliment when paying the first night with American Express card that issued by AMEX Taiwan.

Agree with the previous reviewer the rooms are outdated and with the premium they charge these rooms should be much nicer.

A hotel of this level, charging these prices should have a better handle on food quality.

The public bath house is Japanese style with both indoor and outdoor area also with view.

The outdoor spa is spectacular - they have a live fish zen spa and approx 6 heated pools and a jet spa.

Very nice hotel provided outdoor and indoor hot spring, well trained staffs, restaurant are also good.

There is also some outdoor hot spring pools available if you don't like indoor spring house.

We enjoyed around in outdoor ones then the indoor ones.

The complex is huge with excellent facilities, including a 20+ meter swimming pool, huge outdoor co-ed hot spring areas with different pools and also fish spas; large gender specific hot spring bath with 3 different temperature pools, sauna and an outdoor hot spring area.

My kids love the outdoor pools and the hot springs. They had so many giggles dipping their feet into the fish pond for their "pedicure."

Both outdoor and indoor hotspring are well-maintained and clean.

Especially to enjoy the hot spring with facility in the hotel and in the room.

When we got in the room, the birthday decoration surprised me, they also provided a bottle of wine as a birthday treat.

After check in, there will be a guy take you to the room and introduce everything.

The room was nicely decorated and Japanese style.

The hotel is situated at a very beautiful neighborhood and you can see amazing views from every room.

The hotel staff then delivered it up to my room very quickly.

Snacks, bottled water and canned cola in the room are all free of charge.

This time we try the camping car for a night, follow by its nice resort room for second night.

When they nibble on your feet, it felt like a TENs unit sending minor electricity to your feet.

I drove that day; this hotel use vertical circulating mechanical parking system.

We had some issues with the air conditioning in our room and

We only are at the buffet, which was perfect so everyone could pick what they wanted to eat.

Breakfast was buffet type with an OK choice of foods and drinks.

The restaurant provides a wide variety choice of food in buffet style for both dinner and breakfast.

Breakfast spread had enough variety - the fresh juice station was always popular - and we never left the restaurant hungry.

The buffet dinner provides western and western cuisines and I love the local vegetables salad and freshly squeeze fruit juice.

We went near the new years Eve so this place was filled with guests - buffet dinner and breakfast so good to avoid peak times (long queues) if possible.

The food spread for buffet is alot and friendly waitress that can share you coffee during your breakfast.

Despite all these, the service at the Laurel buffet has the better service than the rest of the hotel.

When we arrived, when we went for dinner and breakfast the next day, they always took the initiative to make arrangements to ensure that our entire tour group would have sufficient seats and to help to clear our plates when necessary.

The manager came out as we were checking out to repeatedly apologize to our friends, and offered to take care of our buffet dinner bill(not a small one, considering it's for 4 adults and 2 kids), plus some gifts.

All you can eat buffet is worth the money, food is fresh and tasty, also with tons of options in variety.

Buffet restaurant isn't any good from food quality perspective.

After relaxing in hot spring pool, we enjoyed the buffet dinner which had excellent choices and spreads.

The buffet breakfast and dinner we had were excellent.

All were heated so we are able to use without feeling too cold in the Taiwan winter.

They also only served the Japanese styled cold noodles with sesame sauce, not the regular bonito fish dipping sauce.

We thought the outdoor pool was the normal pool with cold water

Only until a few hours before we checked out the next day, our friends were told that the switch on hot and cold water was misplaced.

but my major complaint is that I find their food tend to be cold or just barely warm for some of the dishes.

They even had pink bunny blankets for our youngest daughter.

Overall a good, short stay was had, with plenty to do within the building for adults and children alike.

Would rate it one of the best hotel in town if you travel with kids.

In fact, the kids are still clamouring to go back!

Great for families with kids,  lots of events.

It has big indoor kids zone (cool laser maze challenge, a 007 experience).

We have arranged a tent for my 2 girls to sleep in & they enjoyed so much.

The pool complex was large and had outdoor swimming and kid’s pool and indoor spa pools.

We enjoyed using all the facilities -- the spa where you need to wear a bathing suit and the full nudity hot spring at the roof top -- in a cold night, soaking in the hot spring at the roof top is really out of the world.

Can easily spend entire day enjoy their amazing spa area, wonderful hot spring pools, kids play room, and they even have a laser maze which is really fun.

There was a really large tub in the room for soaking in hot spring water.

Their kids rooms are awesome too, featuring two separate room where children can learn to play with small games that my parents used to do as kids, and a modern play room where they can learn to build architectures, paper cutting, stamping, and some origami, all in all, lots of fun for the kids.

The room equips with private hotspring which is cozy and chilllll all day!!

Not too much banging of doors by neighbours and I think other guests generally retire early too.

You c an hear noises outside few doors down.

It's true that the walls are thin/noise insulation is poor

This hotel's wall should be very thin as you can hear upstair kids running around and jumping all sort of movements.

The sound-proof effect of the room was awful, we could hear next room sneezing and the sound of the tv.

Traffic was very heavy because of the CNY holiday.

Then, pls expect to get a call from hotel telling you to quiet down.

Due to the typhoon which just landed in Taiwan and disrupted our visit, we called to ask if we can change the booking which they gladly agreed and we made several calls before the stay to make arrangement for car booking.

Meanwhile, I hear some noise, it may cause by processing of hotel construction/ decloration.

The room is tiny and the mattress is on the floor, like Japanese tatami.

Room is a bit small and bed is hard which is not so comfortable.

The room is small and the hot spring bath is inside the room, not on the balcony like other room types, that was a downside for me as it’s nice to bathe in the fresh outside air.

Room is small as the part of the room space is used for in-room hot ♨ soaking.

though the room is quite small and lighting is not quite enough, the beds are comfortable.

The room was small and we have to squeeze by a big round table that's strangely placed in the center of the room.

our room was very small, almost no room for our two bags,

but nice(although we thought it would be even better if they out some chairs or benches to sunbathe) the hot tub in our room was spacious although it made the room itself seem small.
