The bathroom is also small, and the shower is enclosed in a small circular area like if you look a cruise ship voyage and had those showers.

A previous review mentioned the shower was too small - this person must’ve been the size of a small elephant as I am 6foot and quite hefty yet the shower was perfect.

However,single rooms are a little tight on space planning.The toilets are very small !

but we were disappointed to see that the room is hyper small, bathroom is also small and bed is double.

Namely non-sound-proof walls, a small room with no view, occasional sewer smells, lack of storage space, and unsatisfactory breakfast selection (which, to be fair, is to be expected at a smaller hotel).

The room we had for 6 nights was small, (standard double) that we booked on Expedia.

The only draw back is the rooms are somewhat small (which is ok) and have little to no storage space (this is the biggest challenge- no counter space to store your belongings between days).

Amazing hotel in the center of Sultanahmet, very close to all main sightseeings: Saint Sophia, Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar, Topkapy Palace, Suleymaniye Mosque.

We easily walked to the Grand Bazaar, Spice Bazaar, Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Yeni Mosque, Suleymaniye Mosque, Theodosius Obelisk, Column of Constantine, Topkapi Palace, and the Bosphorus Strait Cruise ship line-up.

The terrace view of the Hagia Sophia was an amazing sight to take in.

Short walk just 2 minutes to Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia Museum and Topkapi Palace.

The hotel is located in the very center, it is difficult to think of a better location relative to the main attractions (walking distance to the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace and much more).

The room is very comfortable and the roof top has such a beautiful view of the Mosque.

Wonderful staff; great location close to the top attractions, the tram line, and nearby restaurants; impeccably clean and comfortable room (we loved the rose petal touch); and a very nice breakfast on the top floor with a view of the top of the Haggia Sofia.

negative: the walls are too thin so you can here people next to you and it makes noisy, the price is a little high for what it is.

Tourist attractions ; What we did not expect was that it has a historic abandoned hamam in front, Old Hagia Sofia (read about it :) ) and Old city walls in 1 mins walk.

Only downside is the thin walls and street noise

We left immediately after breakfast which wasn’t great either, to be honest (But not the worst).

There was a lovely spread each morning for breakfast which we very much enjoyed.

We gave up eating hotel breakfast as too lazy to walk the hill to eat !

Breakfast gorgeous, staff is helpful, and the hotel is really well maintained.

They had a great breakfast spread with many options.

I think this hotel has the best view of the city, it has a nice pool and also a good breakfast.

They agreed without warning me that this hotel is too old and dangerous for babies to live.

In the taxi (it was about 10pm), we came across groups of seemingly homeless children who chased after our car.

as the rest of the neighbourhood is extremely rundown and in need of some serious TLC.

HHK is a boutique hotel located in a restored wooden building in the old town (don't be put off by the run-down appearance of its neighborhood -- it's safe to walk at any time).

Unless you plan to actually take part, I suggest you check the proximity of your hotel to local neighbourhood mosques.

OK, so the neighborhood does not look like much, it could actually be unnerving walking around at night.

The neighbourhood looks a little come down, which is why square people might have a problem with it.

Location is in the old part of Istanbul and the neighborhood is old.

but at night there is almost nobody in the streets around the hotel and some streets are very dark and a little bit scary.

The Hayriye Hanim Konagi Hotel is near these landmarks: Kucuk Ayasofya - Gazi Suleyman Pasa Mosque, Eurosa Travel, Keyfi Alem Playstation Cafe, Hayal İstanbul Maltepe, Sultan II.

The terrasse with the view is opening only from 10.30am to 10.30 pm so if you’re visiting Istanbul during the day and eating outside you can’t almost never use it.

It is located at the heart of the city, walking distance to the bazaar and other key places like restaurants and stores and short driving distance to key places.

Pool is fab, food and drink reasonably priced.

it is a working part of the city - with shops, stalls, workshops and street food places.

You can find cheap eateries and quality shopping nearby including the egyptian Bazaar

İt was wonderful .The staff was so friendy and  helpful.Turkish breakfast was so delicious with their several types of  cheeses.Location very close to old city which was only 5 minutes to Suleymaniye mosque ,spice market  and grandbazaar  by walking.Rooms are so clean, nice and furnished like ottoman style.Definitly  I advise this place for stay in istanbul.

The walk down and along to Eminonu (ferry port and tram station-15 mins by foot) or up to the lovely views from Suleymaniye Mosque (8 mins) will take you through some pretty rough looking streets.

From the hotel it is only a five minute walk to the Suleymaniye mosque, which is beautiful.

It was a 10 minute walk from the Suleymaniye mosque, 10 minutes from the spice market and probably only another 25 minutes to the main tourist attractions.

but also close to good public transport links, local shops and restaurants, the wonderful Suleymaniye mosque and other attractions (including a little-known but lovely botanical garden - almost next door).

The hotel is in a great location within walking distance to the Galata Bridge, Suleymaniye mosque, Grand Bazaar and the old city.

Beware when getting a taxi to the hotel to confirm that this is HHK hotel not HHK downtown hotel because we accidently got dropped off in the wrong place at first!

but apart from the river the view looked like a war zone and getting taxis to and from the hotel was difficult as this was in an awkward location.

Ubers and taxi drivers had a bit of a hard time getting to the hotel when it was raining and it was quite slippery to walk to and from the hotel as the surrounding streets are quite steep.

It's a steep climb up the cobbled streets to HHK and make sure you take details of its location when you go out as taxi drivers will have difficulty finding it!

The hotel is in a very difficult area to access by taxi, and impassable after the snowfall, so the staff met us at the bottom of the very steep hill, and carried our luggage up the hill themselves.

Little tricky to find this lovely hotel with taxi, make sure taxi calls and gets directions.

Our taxi had difficulty stopping on the hill and when it did we weren't sure where we were.

I don't believe that she even tried for a taxi as someone would jump at an airport journey,

Generally we didn't have a good experience with taking taxi in Istanbul and they usually wanted to charge us too much and they were rude.. You can walk to the hotel and from the hotel, which we did most of the times;

but for less able a taxi may be required.

For Taksim you can go downwards, towards the sea( Take the Stairs, Much easier than the steep road) and then a taxi to taksim( Fare would not be more than 15-20 Lira).As a matter of fact you can also take the metro which is just next to the hotel.

Forced us to take taxis which are not good in Istanbul.

A beautifully renovated wooden house with a rooftop overlooking the Golden Horn and a swimming pool on it .

The staff was kind and helpful and offered us one of their rooms with a magnificent view of the Bosphorus.

Followed by steep stairs, especially to access the roof terrace, for amazing views.

The view from the pool and terrace areas are panoramic and breathtaking.

First of all the view is incredible, the staff is really professional and Friendly especially the receptionist named Enes.

Lovely hotel, beautifull views, nice and friendly ppl form the staff.

but clean, no smell inside with a nice view.
