Very easily accessible to the Athens market bazaar area.

My only less positive comment is that the hotel is right next to a very busy road, with a lot of traffic noise even in the small hours.

Also, the rooftop restaurant gets very busy and if you just want to have drinks on the rooftop, you will be limited with your time at a table (5 in our group) unless you make dinner reservations also.

I was a little concerned that it fronts onto a very busy street and has lots of foot-traffic outside,

The hotel was very busy when we stayed there and we occasionally had to wait for new food to be brought out during breakfast,

Hotel is at a very busy street, therefore it's very loud.

Only slight downside was the noise from the busy road outside, we were on the third floor and it was quite intrusive.

The only downside is, that it is close to a very busy street and the noise can be quite bothersome, especially at night.

At check in could overhear someone complaining about their street facing room due to noise so was glad we did not face the very busy main road.

One suggestion - request a room away from the busy street outside unless you are accustomed to city street noise.

We had a Superior room facing the ruins on the other side of a very busy road.

but it's located on a busy loud diesel smelling street.

The room given to us was facing a very busy street and was very noisy all night.

Room is a bitty noise as the street passing by is quite busy.

While the hotel is on a busy street, our room was on the opposite side of it and was very quiet.

Unfortunately it is next to a very busy road and there was a lot of traffic noise.

It was busy all day and all night, so we were woken up by that noise throughout the nights.

Only that and being aggressively overcharged by the airport taxi driver (despite posted fixed rates at the airport, he also dropped us off across a busy road and down far enough from the hotel that we could not get anyone to help us dispute, he smoked, coughed, no mask, and weaved all over the road, that was a totally unpleasant experience).

but panoramic rooms face Hadrians' temple, across a busy street.

There is only two small lifts which can only fit two people.

The elevator was quite small given the number of guests at the hotel,

Amenities were rather confined as was the lift which only would hold 2 people comfortably.

.The elevator was very tiny, only 2 people at a time.

The only downside was that the elevator was really s-l-o-w, that’s really all I can think of that was negative.

The bathroom was a bit small and the lifts only fit 2 people

The only downside, which is barely notable, would be the very small and slow lift and weak coffee.

The elevators are tiny and can be bottlenecks at times.

First the elevators are the tiniest I have ever seen in my life, I don't exaggerate when I say it can only fit 2 adults and 1 child max.

Elevators are a bit slow, small, and in frequent use.

The elevators are very small(2-3 people without luggage) The restaurant on roof was pricey, and not a great selection.

And the elevators are tiny (but par for the area).

however the lifts were pretty slow during busy periods.

The bellman beat me to the punch, opening the elevator door and ushering me in.

We had stayed precruise at the Le Grand Bretagne, arranged by our cruise line for a hefty price.

but it’s also only about 3 blocks from the main square where the Grand Bretagne and parliament are located.

Do not go to Marriott/Intercontinental/Grand Hyatt or the Hilton, they are all quite far away -this is THE hotel to stay at in Athens and will be our ONLY choice when we visit Athens again.

The welcome at 2:30 in the morning couldn't have been better and for the next several days, the excellent staff took over the pursuit of our luggage as it made its grand tour.

Just as good or better views than say the Grand Bretagne at a fraction of the price.

Views from the breakfast room are amazing, directly onto the Parthenon and better at night when it is floodlit.

This hotel is very nice and provides the best view of the Acropolis and Parthenon in Athens.

Restaurant at the top of the building was very nice with an excellent view of the Parthenon at night!

Excellent room with a view of the Parthenon, very comfy bed, great bathroom.

Then add the beautiful view of the Parthenon and you couldn't ask for more.

The rooftop dining is exactly as pictured and you will not be sorry with this location, as it is easy walking distance to the Acropolis, the Pynx, Old Agora, Hadrian's Libraryand it is so very close to the museum ( a must-see since a lot of the actual relics of the Parthenon are there ), as well as Hadrian's Arch and the Temple of Zeus.

The view of the Parthenon from the upper floor where breakfast is served is amazing.

The rooftop bar and restaurant provide amazing views of the Parthenon.

We had a perfect view of the Parthenon in room 612.

Add to that, the view of the Parthenon from the rooftop is extraordinary, AND, the restaurant food is excellent as well as the waiters who we looked forward to seeing every breakfast and dinner.

We first stayed at the Athens Gate in 2009 when we were engaged at the Parthenon, just a short walk away.

When you can have a really, really good breakfast while looking at the Parthenon, there is not much to complain about.

The bar on the top floor provides some amazing views of the Parthenon and Temple of Zeus, this is also used as the breakfast menu in the morning so a great way to kick the day off.

A 4 star hotel at the foot of the Acropolis which has a rooftop bar/restaurant with uninterrupted views of the Parthenon and is directly across from the temple of Zeus.

The room is great with a wonderful view of the Parthenon and the food (breakfast and dinner) is great.

Our fifth floor room did experience some evening traffic noise

It was loud with the windows open and the walls were paper thin Ava you could hear everything and everyone in nearby rooms and the hallway.

Seems just paying for a Superior doesn’t guarantee not facing the high noise road to the front.

The only negative with our room, was from the noise above from the restaurant,

I was a little worried about traffic noise

Never have we experienced traffic noise like it.

but the noise was not an issue.We had a room with a terrace in front of the Temple of Olympian Zeus.

Motorcycle noise tapered off a little after 2am.

So I put my earplugs in and was still woken up by the motorcycles.

I was so very tired from traveling and traffic when I returned to the hotel.

I think if you were on the other side of the hotel towards temple of Zeus it could be noisy with street traffic due to location?

I am usually ok with traffic noise and trying to sleep,

The only drawback is some rooms can be noisy due to the road traffic.

The only bad part about the hotel is the proximity to the street…road noise at night made it very hard to sleep.

but the restaurant in the evening is excellent offering good food and excellent service.

Even so, reception staff welcomed us so friendly and also Adonis( Antonio) a waiter from the restaurant was so polite, he had a positive attitude, he does his job really well.

We used the restaurant several times and the food was high quality with a lot of flexibility to meet our needs.

but the staff was great and the food certainly satisfying.

The restaurant is also a treat - food and view.

Great location for Cafes, Restaurants and plenty of shopping.

There are so many restaurants and great shopping nearby.

The rooftop restaurant has an amazing view, and the food is delicious.

Great location for the Acropolis, the Ancient and Roman Agoras, the 
Acropolis Museum, Plaka restaurants (try Daphne's!

The location is very close to Plaka where there are numerous restaurants and shops.One of the entrance walkways to the Acropolis is close by as well.

The views from the roof top restaurant are spectacular overlooking the Acropolis!

If you stay here, make sure you book reservations ahead of time for dinner at the Athens Gate Roof Top Restaurant, a not to be missed dining experience.

We can’t say enough about the gracious employees of this hotel - from the front desk, housekeeping, rooftop restaurant it was a very pleasant stay.

We ate dinner at the restaurant and it was fabulous.

The included buffet breakfast was wonderful and the view at the rooftop restaurant is amazing!

We very much enjoyed the rooftop bar and restaurant, both food and service.

The hotel is also located in walking distance to Plaka where you can find souvenirs and restaurants.

The Athens Gate Hotel is phenomenal… the rooms are well furnished, the rooftop restaurant is stunning and Christina ( reservations ) and her staff are so professional and polite!

The frosting on the cake is the rooftop restaurant with amazing views of the Acropolis and much of Athens.

The rooftop restaurant offered a good selection for breakfast and a great spot for a cocktail in the afternoon.

It is a typical European hotel which has small rooms.

Rooms had a small balcony , higher floors had views of Acropolis.

The rooms are small and the air conditioning only has one temperature - cold!

Our room was on the small side and not fancy,

The rooms are small is the only downside.

But do note that this is in a very congested area, so the rooms are tiny and you will hear the hustle and bustle of the city.

The reception and valet staff was very pleasant and efficient. They held our bags while walked around, and they even let us into our room a little early (a nice surprise after an overnight flight.)

I had a question before we arrived and emailed the hotel and received a very timely response.

Entrance to the Acropolis or the Acropolis museum, temple of Zeus are only some minutes away.

Thanks to a very welcome reception, variety of very tasty food, very friendly waiters in a relaxed seating on the 8th floor with a magnificent view of the Parthenon and the Temple of the Olympian Zeus (especially during the night lights), immaculate housekeepings and well designed and respectfully enforced Covid-19 procedures, my stay, in every sense, was very relaxed and enjoyable.

The food in the restaurant was delicious, with views on the Acropolis on one side, and Zeus's temple on the other side.

The view is nice (temple of Zeus), there is a small balcony, and you can use the elevator or stairs.

We stayed in 2 adjoining family rooms 606 and 607 on the 6th floor overlooking the Temple of Zeus.

My room had a balcony overlooking the Temple of Zeus which was lovely & the views of the Acropolis were beautiful from the Restaurant on the 8th floor.

The rooftop bar has great views of the Acropolis and the Temple of Zeus and Hadrian's Arch.

The Acropolis is a 10 minute walk away; the Temple of Zeus is across the street; great outdoor restaurants; and plenty of shopping -- all within a five minute walk.

My room was lovely, I had a balcony that looked onto The Temple of Olympian Zeus- jaw-dropping & magnificent.

We were given a free upgrade to a room overlooking the Temple of Zeus towards Mount Lycabettus. Amazing.

First and foremost the views from the rooms (we booked the extra price to get a view of the zeus temple or acropolis) were fantastic to see them every morning made us want to explore the city further and get into the history.

It had a wonderful rooftop bar with Both inside and outside seating)  where you could have an unobstructed view of the Acropolis on one side, and the Temple of Zeus on the other.

We had a room facing the Temple of Zeus with a private balcony which was very nice.

Breakfasts were very good with great views of the Acropolis.

And in terms of value for money, the room rates are very reasonable given the hotels excellent location and Acropolis views.

The rooftop restaurant and bar are very good, and the views are spectacular.

The Terrace Restaurant offers good food as well as an amazing lighted view of the Acropolis at night.

The bathroom was so cosy that it was almost impossible to have a shower without flooding the whole room, and the balconies are totally open and offer no privacy from one's neighbours.

The small bathroom contained yet another health and safety hazard in the form of glass partitioning immediately next to the toilet.

hotel a little bit worn out and Georgian kitchen in restaurant is very blanc and tasteless, swimming pool was muddy and too warm, no draft beer, don’t like the bathroom in the room with wet floor if you take a shower (should be some border or something) scratched floor in the room.

However on the negative side the bathrooms are very cramped and inconvenient.

The water from the shower goes throughout the bathroom.

However, bathrooms look as if borrowed from the communist past.

Very small bathroom and no TV (which wasn’t too bad).

In addition, the shower is only half-closed, and when you take a shower water runs all over the bathroom.

The bathroom did feel a bit cramped as mentioned by some reviewers.

The bedrooms and bathrooms are a little compact

Raw wood furniture, paper thin walls on all sides, very dim lighting in the rooms, awful small bathroom, poor quality bathrobes.

Room not very comfortable and the toilets are very substandard

The only inconvenience was the shower, it doesn’t have a proper door and water stopper on the floor, therefore after showering your bathroom is half way floating.

Instead there's one bathrobe provided for a room for two and a shower that barely works right and floods the entire bathroom.

I felt like the beds were a bit hard. Did not care for the bathroom amenities (shampoo, etc.)

although there are small things to be improved like the shower, and the fact that due to covid waitresses pick the breakfast for you in the buffet, and their English is quite poor.

The bathrooms were atrociously small, and the shower made absolutely no sense - it was tiny and impossible to control where the water sprayed.

Most of the staff is chilling and hanging out with each other while several guests wait for a service
- Small rooms/bathrooms: not convenient (i.e having open shower in tiny room results in the whole bathroom becoming wet after shower)
- Restaurant orders kept getting mixed up - every time she brought wrong order to us or brought our order to another table
- Lack of English knowledge: there were several moments that took us a lot of time and help of additional staff to explain to our waitress/staff in spa what we needed.

The door opens in between the wash basin and WC/Shower.

The lobby is always full like in the Bazaar!

Wood design, very contemporary and cosy, total match with the location.

Everything, from the setting, service, interiors, were so within our taste!

Nice hotel with picturesque scenery, amazing breakfast, calm and chill atmosphere.

From the moment you step into the lobby this hotel seems gloomy - partly this is due to all the dark week,

The vibe of the place is very  nice, great bar with wonderful cocktails.

but once inside the confines of the hotel it’s impossible not to be impressed by the rustic yet elegant charm  of the hotel .

This is a great hotel thanks to tasteful design, rich breakfast, nice spa and breathtaking views of Mount Kazbek.

We stayed in tibilisi couple night , we decided to visit Qazbegi , 
 The trip was fantastic i have never seen like this hotel style in my life, very clean , good vibes and in the middle of mountain, very nice rooms with boutique style , peaceful place to relax 
Food just amazing specially the Breakfast

The hotel is unique in its design and the view from it is breathtaking.
